[X] A City Sprawling: A skyline of wicked steel-glass towers rises in all directions heedless of human habitation. Angular and jagged, the rains and lightning dance their deadly dance with the inhuman towers wherein lines of power run through screens proclaiming "Eat! Eat! Eat!" and "Consume yourself!". Beneath the skyscrapers and looming skyline lie the temples and castles of yesteryear and yesterday, their visages forgotten in favour of high-flying advertisement boards and shining electricity. What have become of them now?

[X] A Palace Ruined: Vines grow here over the stones. Glorious and mighty, this place has once been, but is no more. There is silence in this place where the clangor of a thousand instruments of violence might have sounded to billions of hoarse throats. Great battles were fought here, ashes mark the fires and the lightning. Brass grows here like verdigris on copper or weeds in a garden, in patches small and great. Once a great but humbled king called this palace his own, but this place has not seen a king in many years. Will it ever see one again?

You all know what i'm about

[X] A Plain Howling: The wind howls here, it howls and flays. They whip over endless plains not too dissimilar to those of the Red Planet. Sharp pinnacles and precipes of stone reach high towards heaven and the cutting winds dance through the rocks, free and innocent. Figures run down there, down on the plains. They run to escape the pain, they run to forget the cutting winds and piercing rocks and sharp sands. Their nakedness does not bring attraction or repulsion, only confusion. What fools they are, who can outrace the wind?

Okay, to get away from that, the vote has been called in a clear favour of Playing Mindless Games! What does that mean? It means you are afflicted with the Urge of the Manipulator which means good things happen when your plans unfold according to your design.

It also means you get stuck with Ravana in your head but you were going to do that no matter what so you better get used to it. :V

somehow the fact that our infernal head adviser is a chronic junkie who when observed at any given moment is exactly halfway between his last high and his next crash just makes it better. the fact that he has the impulse control of a lap rat hammering at the dopamine button and would probably snort banes if he could (and maybe he can) just makes it gravy.

Also yo man I don't have much to add honestly but the eternity-transformation was fucking amazing @ManusDomini kudos. 100% nightmarish and yet super engrossing.

All of them are, like, very well done and incredibly compelling as depicted but I think I'm most partial to this. I love the sorta like- I love the imagery of the hollow city, the empty city, that kind of aching loneliness that high tech can bring and the way the hypermodern can exacerbate people's inner demons. I like how it synergizes really well with the queen bee aspect too and there's a sort of- idk if you can properly call it irony? An aptness maybe, that the Queen Bee who spent her whole life casually manipulating others and playing games with their relationships and hopes and dreams and all that shit ends up embodying a piece of a hell where language itself, the most fundamental ties that bind people together, is twisted out of shape and meaning. This voracious, like, city-maw that's lit up with a kind of fever glow, with not-quite-dead and not-quite-gone things lurking below. Skyscrapers built on ancestor's bones (and hey considering the fact that our PC's a second generation immigrant that's super apropos).

I like the leading votes (they both seem really appropriate to the character), so I'm pretty happy throwing away my vote on the not!Yozi I find most interesting.

A Queen needs a palace.

Is it strange, that I feel Sorrow for Malfeas, that great and terrible realm of old, of that old, fallen king of kings?

Will it see one again? Yes. Yes it will.
