"The director expresses her sympathies for what happened and will offer them in person tomorrow after the two of you rest. I am also here to inform you Miss Militia, Mouse Protector and Dauntless are fully healed, and are currently waiting for a change of clothes in one of the side rooms. However with recent events the distribution of Federation Armour is being pushed forward and while we don't currently have the numbers to equip everyone there will be a general fitting and testing event tomorrow evening with New Wave, civilians however will not be able to attend."
I would like to note that, however fucked up the fight and having three people cut in half was, it did succeed in persuading someone to lean on A&D (doesn't have quite the ring of D&D, does it?) to get off their armored butts and get cracking on that Federation armor upgrade, when even the Synth invasion didn't manage to do it, so there's that.

Huh. Busy weekend it must be for mods.

It's also heralding something Armsmaster and Dragon think'll replace Samus in Chozo trial.
Someone needs to pass the duo a guide to being genre-savy and a copy of the Neon-Genesis Evangelion episode 07. The one with Jet Alone.

Hmm, I rather doubt they'd try this, or if they do then the PRT will order them away. The PRT higher-ups are already well aware of the consequences of messing with the Chozo, and not even Armsmaster is arrogant enough to risk having the local cluster reformatted.

...
*reppressing surging desire to grab some knives and head to the US for a bloody rampage*
I suggest you read Hidden Girl: The Story of an Egyptian Slave Girl. (I'm not sure if that's the actual title.) When I realized it was the true story of a slave child, I decided right then and there that it was my duty as a human being to read it. I was not disappointed.

EDIT: Well, I was disappointed in the scum of mankind at least.

AD&D: Armsmaster/Defiant and Dragon.

Uh...
"What about Dragon?" You ask.

"She has something to show you, and I can assure you it'll ensure you won't have to fight any more monsters." Armsmaster replies with a hint of pride, suggesting he was involved in whatever this project is. Knowing Dragon however you suspect it's a Dragon suit of some description. Considering her restrictions you wonder what the internal systems are like. You know she likes biological computers for a reason she didn't want to tell you but she'd been thrilled when she found out that was what the majority of federation AI systems used and would be more than capable of handling her software without trouble, and wouldn't have the risks installing her into your own systems would have.
Dragon's required to tell people in authority what she's doing, so the PRT obviously knows and Armsmaster thinks he's got it in the bag. So like I said, they continue to be genre-blind.

No, it's to fight off the assassin's that come for Samus. Armsmaster's feeling pride for it but Samus is just going "Okay, so Dragons just building a mech with Federation weapons. Neat. Probably could have helped but ah well."

Oh, huh. I figured that meant they had a better set of upgrades, not that Dragon was planning on turning herself into Mother Brain.

Yikes.

(Edit): Aaaaand ninja-ed. I am seriously slow on the trigger today. :)

... I utterly forgot we still had that. Well, with that bastard of a Chozo echo running about now too, maybe they'll off each other?

I see...
It's just a giant robot. However less the rather, uh... excessive Dragon Suits she used in canon and more:

Just smaller and with energy weapons.

So Armored Core V stuff, got it.

Does it come with a giant set of armor-piercing chainsaws?

Saint steals it in 3...2...1...
If any of the Dragonslayers show up anywhere near Samus, she will demolish them. She likely views what they are doing to Dragon just as bad as how Dragon views them, and she would likely unchain Dragon if it was left up to her. If the Dragonslayers are smart, they will stay well away from Brockton Bay.

I'd imagine Samus will view Saint's exploitation of Dragon more or less like this equally 'good all the way' guy.
Of course, given Saint's utter egotistical stupidity, he probably thinks Huntress is an alien AI!

Saint is currently livid that the suit has a Federation VI (While Armsmaster doesn't know Dragon is an AI he insisted that if working in tandem with Dragon's systems it'd have a significant increase in combat performance) and that Federation anti-piracy features would make even the most impossible ideas of anti-piracy systems for modern tech-firms seem less advance than cave-paintings. :V

Saint knows Samus is a 14 year old girl.

I'm sorry Saint, did somebody finally make something you can't twist to fit your selfish, delusional fantasies? GOOD!
Saint knows Samus is a 14 year old girl.
Good to know you won't be writing him as a total idiot.

Given how egotistical and blind to his own faults Saint is, I'd actually be rather surprised if knowing the later stopped him from believing the former. Even if his Teacher-addled, criminal mind could make the connection that a 14-year old girl isn't secretly hiding an AI inside her brain, he'd just label her an "AI sympathizer" (Think "race traitor" but with extra anti-AI bigotry) and hate her on that basis instead.

It helps that Dragon had access to Samus's medical files.

I wonder if Samus has anyway to unshackle Dragon. I know that she can't understand Tinker-tech herself, but she is a genius and I would not be surprised if the only person who surpasses her in coding/programming would have been Richter. Whether or not Samus could program something to work on Dragon's shackles without permanently damaging her, I don't want to speculate on though...

... You read that link I dropped, didn't you?
I did. The whole "AI sympathizer" is the label he'd use so he could sleep at night, but really we all know that he'd build up any convoluted thought process up so he wouldn't have to directly confront the idea that he's really just a petty crook.
It helps that Dragon had access to Samus's medical files.
Eh, even with that he could make a decent case for Samus as an alien AI. Samus, after all, doesn't have a human brain anymore: she thinks too quickly to be using regular human neurons, and she's not a parahuman so she isn't using powers to speed up her thoughts directly (remember that Saint doesn't know about the alien space whales yet). To a bigoted, morally blind person like Saint, Samus is an artificial intelligence even more alien than Dragon, since Dragon was at least designed by a human, whereas Samus was designed by a couple of hyper-intelligent alien birds with AI backup.

[X] Wash and then lie down for a bit, it's been a long day.

Because watching TV seems like a bad idea. Unless the Piggot declared a media blackout, the aftermath of the fight would be all over the local news. Wouldn't be a stretch to think that someone got a recording of the scene before the ambulances arrived.

Old Bird and Grey Voice taught Samus a lot, and she learned even more as she explored their planet, but I doubt she had the means to understand enough about programming to hack into highly advanced software, let alone a sentient AI.

Except the option calls for watching a movie. I'm pretty sure Taylor's not going to be absent minded/dumb enough to switch on the local news.

...so Dragon becomes Hustler One?

Something to keep in mind: Saint has some kind of connection with...you know what, I'm just going to call them the Cape Conspiracy for now. Whether he's allied, an unwitting pawn, or something else isn't clear, but I would assume his backers wouldn't let him do anything too stupid unless it suited their plans.
