[X] Have the others spot for when the Echo becomes visible, and otherwise keep far away from the battlefield.
[X] If the Echo gets into melee range and you can't disengage, ask everyone with a ranged attack to harass the Echo and then relocate to a different position.
[X] Keep an eye on the echo, and ready a charged shot for when it slows down. When it stops to attack, fire the charged shot, and strafe and fire as many uncharged shot as possible until it resumes movement. Rinse and repeat. Watch for AoE attacks, and dispatch any minions ASAP. Always remain mobile.

I would like to point out that any attack that isn't the Wave Beam is going to pass harmlessly through it. Cause you know, technically a ghost. But not really, explain in the logbook entry.
Dauntless' lance shoots lightning though. Electricity is a form of energy and the chozo ghost could be considered a being of energy. Or would that give the chozo ghost a boost?

It's a good thing Velocity is here to sweep the area for us.

Would the Protectorate be effective against the minions?

Okay, was going off Metroid prime, where they were immune to non power beam attacks.
...I think you missed something.

The Wave Beam is the Power Beam now.
I did miss that. Shouldn't effect the vote, because the wave beam was still the first option.

[X] Dodge most of its attacks, attack the Homing Barrages and any telekineticly thrown objects with missiles when the Echo uses those, and use a charged Wave Beam shot followed by repeated uncharged ones to attack when it's visible. If doing so would free the human souls rather than destroying them, attack them with uncharged Wave Beams whenever the Echo casts Grip of the Dead. Avoid melee.

I think I'm going to try to mix and match the votes.

I think this gets the gist of the strategy from both sides.

So I am guessing that the difference between this and the regular guardians is that the Guardian Statues are statues that have Chozo ghosts bound to them. They are dangerous because they are pretty much mad with rage/crazy from being bound for all this time. This time, the statue simply released a Chozo ghost, completely unbound from a physical form. Which makes it so much more dangerous, yes?

Chozo Echoes aren't ghosts, there's a bit more information in the scan entry.

Fighting these things suck. In Metriod Prime, for game cube, you can sequence break a few (iirc) of the boss fights. One of them is a horde of chozo ghosts, which attack you in a room with annoyingly little cover. I found them before I had the X-Ray visor, or the wave beam. All I had was the standard charged beam, and I ended up beating them by returning fire when they lit me up.

The ghost itself may move really fast, and be impossible to see without the right visor, but it's spells are perfectly visible and it can't be immaterial and attack at the same time. So, when it shoots at you, you shoot back.

Man where is everyone? Not saying that I have problems with the vote, I just want more than like 10...
Assuming it isn't IRL things like college or summer jobs, which it very well could be, I think people were and are just stumped. None of the counter-weaponry is available, Samus or anyone else has no way of even seeing the target, you're essentially asking us to pull out a fight strategy that's all about the tactics, about fighting intelligently. But we're not Ursarkar 'Tactical Genius' Creed. I'd wager most of us aren't even armchair generals. Not all of us have the confidence to throw together a best guess strategy, especially as time goes on the likelihood of it winning decreases.

Congratulations, you got us intimidated.

Seems as good as anything we can do without having our super-awesome X-Ray Visor.

I find myself vaguely worried the thread will expect to solo Endbringers with that upgrade, but anticipate badass fights regardless.

Wave Beam here is based off the handhelds, where weapons stack.
Or Prime 3. That has stack-up weapon evolution, too. *wonders when we get to have the nova beam so we can shoot star radiation at stuff*
