    BLAM!

    -War. Well, it seems you're in for an even shorter lifespan than I thought. Have fun trying to survive!

    War is hell.

    How do you know this?

    Because you're smack dab in the middle of it. Beyond all the gun firing -

    BANG! BANG! BANG!

    ZZAPP!

    BOOOOM!

    -All the tanks rumbling, the planes flying and dying in seconds, you know it's hell. However, the recruiter never said...

    "WAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!"

    That war was also very green.

    Orks. The enemy of all mankind, slugging it out with each other, outsiders, anyone who they could punch really. They REALLY liked to punch.

    You knew this, because that's how poor Mikhail died, to an ork that quickly got hosed down in las-fire.

    Didn't help him, really. Nor you. All you know is that you're in a trench, another Ork is pointing his giant gun at you, and you need to-

    Yeah, I'm doing this. Inspired by the new 40k Riot quest over on SB (Come join the Torian 5th if you like arty!) You're going to be a new guardsman. I'm not going to say you'll be just a trooper forever, but for now you're just a trooper. Who will most likely die. Don't worry, it's not the end of the quest.

    Every time you die, you'll go to a new trooper. However, for every post you SURVIVE, I'll add +1 to your next roll for whatever action you did on that previous turn (IE, if you attack, your next attack roll will have a +1 to it, +2 if you attack again after that, etc.) These bonuses will stay until the battle you're in is over, after which your post battle rewards will come in. Don't worry about those things for now, they'll come into more detail when your battle ends.

    Rolling will be a single D100, rolled by You All! I'll be rolling for the enemies, but beyond that all rolling and bonuses to rolling will be taken care of by you.

    There'll be a 1 hour moratorium for people to have a chance to see it, and then the vote will open for 24 hours. I'll be available for questions, so feel free to ping me if you have any.

    May the God-Emperor have mercy on your souls...

    (EDIT: BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE, READ THE INFORMATIONAL THREADMARK "ON THREADMARKS". I AM TIRED OF PEOPLE POSTING THAT I HAVE NOT PUT IN A THREADMARK ON IT.)

    Orks can often survive las gun shots if you haven't turned up the power a lot so shooting back is probably just going to get us splattered well the Ork ends up a bit scuffed.

    In the end, everything is based on Luck! Whose to say we won't be shot in the back while taking cover. Just follow the Man God's will and shoot that Green Skin in the face! This soldier would have at least died fighting and not running away like a b!tch.

    Im noticing people vote for duck into the trench, but some aren't including the exclamation mark. Please double check your vote as it might complicate the vote.
     
    Alright, vote was very heavily extended, but it's now over!

    ...Very focused on defense. Now, if someone could roll me a D100 I can get started on the update.
     
    The moment stretches for a millenium, you note. You can almost see the moment when the greenskin starts to pull the trigger, and suddenly you're moving yourself down, back into the trench where the inevitable round would not be able to hit you...

    (YOU: 67 VS ORK: 65)

    and just in time, your head barely clears the top of the trench before the signature BOOM of a slug round ejecting from the barrel of a weapon is sounded, and a squelch is heard, most likely from the guard right behind you. After that, a few flashes of Red sling right back at the Ork, causing a roar to sound, but not the thump of a corpse falling over. It's still alive, and if you don't do something you're going to eat a blade mean for Chopping.

    So with that in mind, you...

    [] [DEFENSE] Jump out and leave for the next trench! Faith in superior firepower will stop the greenskin!

    (AN: Once again, 24 hour voting time, but no moratorium now. And for the sake of not overbloating the thread, I'm only going to threadmark the beginning and end of battles, so don't be surprised if we don't have a lot at the start.)
