[x] Dissection: It's difficult to counter something you don't understand. Trap and kill a clicker and attempt to learn how it uses clicking to hunt from its body. If it detects motion, a mechanism that mimics attempted burrowing into the trunk might be enough to lure it into an ambush.

[X] LEARN - You found yourself facing a threat that you were not able to confront directly and only survived thanks to luck. Such a weakness must be rectified and an efficient path to covering it is to learn what you can about the various threats you may face. Your more experienced pack members could be a fountain for such knowledge and to help incentivize such teaching maybe you can pay back by providing assistance that you can to their endeavors? Once you have enough knowledge you'll better know how to forge your body and mind in preparation for facing them in the future.
