So this is going to be kind of a quest. There's not going to be a decision every chapter, but making the world by myself seems like too much effort. Character creation first.

Sorry for nothing looking fancy
So how is this going to work?
Because I can come up with maybe four perks and special skills, you can do that for me! If I approve, you get a Point! Using points you can add or remove character traits, and generally alter the character.

I became bored of Gamers who only fight, fight, fight. They never do anything except fighting. But by itself fighting doesn't right anything. You need other things too.

Take Brockton Bay for example. If Taylor killed all Villains with Gamer powers, would anything change? No. Other gangs would fill this place in a week again. We need to fix Brockton Bay's unemployment and economy so that few people turns to crime. So what Taylor needs to do, is to found or support a few company and start fixing things.

What I want is a Scientist or Engineer Gamer. I never seen one. But if Gamer increases intelligence and Wisdom, a Gamer must notice that, s/he can be rich by inventing something, whatever it is a computer program to a gravity engine.

Also add this skills and their sub categories;

Hacker
Scientist
Engineer
Matematician
Physician
Doctor

Also, another thing most Gamers do is specialization. Which is a mistake. Gamer let's you do anything. If you are focusing on only a few things, you are gonna die because when you are gonna need something, and not have it. Take Worm universe for example, a lot of Parahumans have programmed limits. Manton limit etc. Because of their specialized nature, only by grouping they stand a chance against other parahumans. In Worm every parahuman have a weakness. From Contessa's blind spots to Scion's lack of intelligence and wisdom. You only need one thing they are weak, and they are dead. I see for example, foresee that all Gamers in Worm, could be killed by Flechette's Sting.

And all gamers put the Mana they have and create anti-thinker, anti-stranger etc ASAP.

Also Gamer's are under utilizing magic.

If it was me, I would create earth bending. Using this, I would seperate a 1kg of non-magnetic minerals to little 1 mg spheres. Then I would spread these spheres around me and start turning them around me as fast I can. If I practice enough, I can create a death trap, which moves faster then Mach 1. A bullet trap.

Because it is non magnetic, and I control these, a air bender or someone with a magnet can't stop these.

Gamers also under utilizing Observe skill. This skill could became better than Tattletale's power. Also if it is developed enough, you can use it to copy people's fighting skills just like Sharingan.

ID create is perfect for training. If you have no equipment for it, just go a shop which has it, create an empty ID. And use temporary copied equipment inside ID. From Shooting skills to Fighting skills.

Fighting skills.

I never understood, why Gamers only have one Fighting skill.

Why you can't learn both Kung Fu and Krav Maga?

Because this way The Gamer can provide boosts without creating a completely OP character. After all, what use is being able to move at light speed or bench press a truck or survive an artillery strike when all conflicts are solved through a Children's Card Game with preset rules, turn order, and life points? This would probably result in a character who primarily mains Luck for Shining Draw Shenanigans(tm).

Alternatively, the author could choose not to do this because running any kind of Yugioh fan story is difficiult as hell, due to having to write up a whole bunch of duels.

A favorite series of mine, but fairly obscure.

Because the upper limit for these kind of settings is huge, actually scaling well with the gamer.

I dunno, there are so many different kinds of settings and stuff that character creation gets difficult. If I might make a suggestion, maybe hold a setting vote first, and then a character vote?

Maybe something like:

[]Setting
-[]Write in Setting

[]Difficulty:
-[]Noblebright: Nothing can go wrong in this wonderful game of life~
-[]Couple of clouds: Generally things work out, although they can occasionally go wrong
-[]Normal: Things have about an even chance of success or failure, all told
-[]Light at the end of the tunnel: Things will generally go wrong, but that just makes your victories all the sweeter
-[]Grimdark: Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Anything that can't go wrong will still go wrong. Any hope of success must e earned through blood, seat, and tears.

And then after a setting is chosen you could let players choose starting time and location, and then after that vote is done they can choose a canon or oc character.
