Tanya sneered to Andy and stated her game: "The Game is an Obstacle Course, whoever can reach the top of the fortress or whoever can vanquish the other wins." as she spoke, the mist condensed into an elaborate map of the fortress, displaying various traps and obstacles.

"The rules are simple," explained the main guard "You each have two keys to summon an ally from the corresponding pools. Cocytus from his fellow Floor Gaurdians, and Andy from Tanya's captives."

An invisible barrier materializes revealing two pockets of light, one blue and one green. The blue features the Floor Guardians, the armored maiden, the pale maiden, the butler and his maids and a pair of blonde tanned twins. The green displayed Andy's captive friends, You, Jen, Blair, and Diva. "You can use any ability your Omnitrix provides you, and we'll see if you're worthy of facing the Gaurdians of Nazarick."

Cocytus marched towards Andy, his towering presence intimidating the boy as he sneered. "Alright, you puny little monkey. Show me what you're made of," he bellowed, his voice echoing through the chamber. The bug-like creature flexed his arms, revealing a series of sharp, gleaming blades. The air grew tense as Andy fiddled with the Omnitrix for whatever this castle had in store.

I'm going to be mixing and matching Fall Guys Maps and Mario Kart Tracks, who's toon enough to face him.

"Upgrade!?" Andy looked of his fluid form and thought to himself: "I can work with this."

Andy flings himself to and fro across the septuple steps, with Coycytus slipping on the Residue coating the last step as Andy passed the blue armored insect. His claws clinging to the underside as he watched Andy swing through the Butterfly Wall and onto the warped wall

"You're not getting the slip that easy!" Cocytus crawled beneath and atop the step and flew past the obstacles just as Andy was getting off the Rolling log, now it was off to the Jumping Spider where Andy left behind a web to ensnare the bug man for a few seconds before pulling away to see Andy scaling the Rope Ladder to victory.

"That is the end of the first round." The head gaurd stated, you must now choose a comrade

Ainz manifested a portal to free Minene from the cage and send her to Andy, she hugged the boy and gave a devilish smile. "Knew ya'd pull through kid."

"Hey, it takes one to know one." Andy chuckled, detransformed to normal in time for the reunion. "We're a team, remember?"

"Your next challenge is a two on two slugfest." The lead gaurd channels an energy into Andy's Omnitrix, restoring itg emerald glow "the Player and his partner against the corresponding characters."

Andy's heart raced as he looked over to You. With the more explosive qualities of your current powerset, He knew he could count on you. "So what's the plan."

He whispered into your ear and you smiled, 'a diamond blade can chop through that bug like paper.' You thought and readied your bombs as Andy slammed the face down on the Omnitrix.

Michael looked up at the towering Red wall of muscle as said wall looked himself over, an annoyed expression gracing his face. "Ugh, fine, I can work with this."

The head gaurd raised his arm and called. "Begin."

Minene began by firing a barrage of smoke missles to cloak the whole arena in a blanket of mist.

(-1 Energy)

Michael and Cocytus were practically blind and had no idea where they were had it not been for flashes of red electricity lighting up the dense fog. The Armored bug and the balding biker rushed to land one on Andy, only to run head first into a pillar… that wasn't in that spot prior to said mist. The two were so focused on that one pillar that they failed to notice the red lightning making more pillars. Cocytus decided to deal one strong swing to clear the mist and revealed a mess of random pillars and columns dotted throughout the battlefield, courtesy of the Forces of Alchemy.

"What the hell is going on here!" Michael bellowed, trying to keep his footing on the shifting battlefield.

"A clever tactic, but futile," Cocytus retorted, his voice echoing through the fog. "Your ally's smoke will not deter me from my duty!"

"...will this suffice!" Andy quipped, a newly-transmuted spear in hand, the crimson energy having enveloped and transformed one of the pillars into a weapon. He charged through the mist, the spear's tip cutting a swath through the smoke, searching for the armored bug's vulnerable spots.

Minene took to the air, her bombs now a distant memory in the chaos. Her agility, enhanced by her alchemic powers, allowed her to weave and dodge through the fog like a ghost. She struck swiftly, her movements unpredictable and deadly, taking advantage of every opening she saw in Cocytus's defense. The pillar-spear clashed against the bug's bladed arms, sparks flying as the two combatants tested each other's might.

Andy's eyes narrowed as he felt the vibrations from Minene's swift strikes. He knew she had his back, and that knowledge bolstered his own confidence. The spear, now an extension of his will, danced through the mist like a crimson snake, striking at the armored insect with a ferocity that belied his usually calm demeanor. The two of them worked in tandem, a blur of red and blue lightning against the backdrop of the murky battlefield.

Cocytus roared in frustration as he swiped at the air, missing Minene by a hair's breadth. His movements, while powerful, were predictable compared to the nimble acrobatics of the young girl. The smell of ozone filled the air as she teleported around the arena, her alchemic powers allowing her to move faster than the eye could follow. Each time she reappeared, it was to deliver a swift blow to the giant bug's exoskeleton, chipping away at his armor with every hit.

When Minene saw an opening, she jumped into his shell and tossed her phone at Andy, "It's gonna get messy!" She cried.

Andy caught the phone with his free hand and saw a possible route of escape. The spear of red alchemy in his hand crackled with power as he aimed it at Cocytus, the tip glowing with a fiery intent. The air was thick with anticipation, the mist swirling around them like a silent witness to their battle. With a roar, Cocytus charged, his bladed arms whirling like deadly propellers.

The two charged together, only for Cocytus to dodge and ram Andy in the back, flinging him to the stone pillars as the crumbled atop of him. Andy struggled to break free using the muscle from Four Arms to strain against the rubble as he heard your voice on the other end. "Relax, shrimp. I've already got the trump card hot and ready, just call me back on the next one."

Andy was confused. "Next one of what?"

"I am." You sighed, then drained the last of your energy into Andy, completing the last skill and causing the physical phone to dissolve into aether, revealing the now inactive Emulator as it started shutting down for the turn. "I was."

Cocytus felt the stranger on his back fizzle up like boiling water, he mentally scanned his person and found a bomb lodged into the heart of the woman that snuck into his armor. "Man, I hate those monkeys."

BOOOOM!!!

The armored incectoid burst into a blazing explosion with Minene inside, chunks of armor flying across the field, shocking the Gaurdians, impressing the TNC, and distressing Michael and Blake.

"Holy bug bombs, Batman!"

"Cocytus, is he really-?"

"Hold me, Ainz-Darling!!"

"Enough!"

Ainz hushed the monsters surrounding them as Ainz prepared a revival spell the footsoldiers stood their place looking on at the Nine of Shield's hugging players.

"It's okay, man." Michael assured. "It's always the Nat-Ones that go first, you know?"

"Doesn't make it easier." Blake lamented. "I don't want you to go."

"Me either, just… take it easy, alright?"

"A'ight." Blake took a deep breath and broke from the hug, walking away from his friend as Tanya descended towards them to take their Emulator, plop it onto the ground and-

CRUNCH!

"Make it count, pal." Michael smiled as his form dissipated behind.

"Nine of Shield, Eliminated. Corresponding Player 01 Discharged." A synthetic voice spoke, Jen hiding the sight from Andy as much as she could. "Corresponding Player 02 Eliminated."

It didn't matter, Andy held your recharging from in his hands as he held back tears. He had seen a friend seemingly die in flames, he didn't know how he was to go on.

Well, Jen's gonna need a bit of backup getting Andy out of his funk with this next Emulation.

Jen tucked in a worried Andy and inserted the Fantasia Videocassette you typically use to lull your children to sleep many times over. It was difficult these past few weeks between the move to Elm Street and the Emulation Game, but you needed to persevere for your children, Andy, Molly, and even Blair. The loss of Minene has made the house significantly quieter, closer to what it was before Blair's intrusion, which had been two or three weeks since that day.

She felt an ache crawling up her back as she walked towards the bathroom for a quick shower. The silence in the house was almost eerie, a stark contrast to the chaos of the past weeks. The Emulation Game had brought so much joy, but also a disturbing undercurrent she couldn't shake off. Jen flipped on the bathroom light, the brightness piercing through the steam that had already started to build. As the warm water cascaded over her, she let out a sigh, her muscles relaxing slightly. She knew she couldn't ignore the situation with Blair forever, but for now, she needed a moment of peace.

Said peace had stirred when she noticed a change about her body, cellulite from two pregnancies melted away to reveal firm feminine muscle, her breasts were firmer, and she felt a sense of vitality that had been absent since giving birth to Molly. It was as if the Emulation Game had granted her a new lease on life, a secret gift amidst the turmoil. She stepped out of the shower, the towel wrapping around her like a warm embrace, and walked to the bedroom, her thoughts swirling like the mist in the bathroom. But suddenly, the scent of cinnamon filled the air.

You laid out the ingredients with care, your fluffy white hands mixing the sugar and cinnamon. You had hoped to surprise Jen with a homemade apple pie, something you had learned from the recipe book that was your current Emulation's mind. The kitchen was your sanctuary here, a place where you could bring warmth and comfort to those you cared about.

As you rolled out the dough, you felt a gentle warmth spread from your fingertips. It was the first time you handled the fire magic the Dreemurr family knew so well and it was surprisingly calming. It illuminated a wayward figure one you knew well the past few days.

"Oh, goodevening, my mistress!" You greeted as Jen backed away in disbelief. "Is something the matter?"

"Well, you…blew yourself up." Jen chuckled nervously. "But otherwise, I'm fine."

"Don't remind me. I can still feel the burns of the explosion." You winced, thinking back to when you were a purple haired psychopath. "But that's all in the past now, Jen. What matters now is you and the work that's to be done… Player 04."

You proceeded to generate the screen before your latest mistress, and her surprised expression said it all.

"What's this?" Jen pointed at the display, her voice shaking slightly.

"Your power." You smiled, Jen stumbled into one of the flame and burned her hand, you quickly put out the flame with your hand and checked if she was okay. You felt the wound and mended it with your magic.

"Easy, Jen. It's still me deep down, it's just that, each Emulation is a new chapter, a new form, new memories, but the core of each Emulator remains consistent. " you said soothingly, your eyes flickering with a gentle light that was somehow comforting despite the fiery aura that surrounded you. "The fire can be yours to bare, too."

Jen looked to the warm sputter of flame and huddled her hands close to it saying: "It won't explode, will it?"

Jen stared out the small, dust-speckled window of her office, watching as the dawn slowly painted the sky in hues of pink and gold. A stack of papers in her hand, she felt a sudden urge to throw them into the air and watch them flutter to the floor. But she couldn't. They were too important. TJ Maxx were asking questions about where she was and with Scrunchables having shed the Minene persona, she needed to keep her lips sealed.

The children ran to the kitchen where you were hiding your new self as you served them a hand-baked breakfast of cinnamon-apple pie. Andy fell to the floor and scraped his knee, crying out in pain. Without missing a beat, Jen rushed over, placing a gentle hand on the wound. She closed her eyes and pictured a magical . The room grew still, and a faint green light emanated from her fingertips, wrapping around the scrape. The pain subsided, and the skin knitted itself back together, leaving not even a scar. Diva gawked in amazement as she bent down to inspect the now-healed injury. "How did you do that?"

"Oh, it's just one of my normal features." You greeted, amazing the children. "Yes, it's me. Despite all the fluff."

"Whacha mean by that!" Blair hugged you with a loving embrace. "I like fluffy."

"Well.. " you sighed, "Fluffy isn't exactly becoming at the TJ Maxx. Speaking of which:"

"Yeah." Jen sighed back, "All that's left is the signature."

You walked up and recreated your previous signature as accurately as you could remember it on the last page of the contract. The children looked on, still a little bewildered by your newest incarnation. The room was filled with the sweet scent of cinnamon from the freshly baked pie, mingling with the faint metallic tinge of magic that lingered in the air. The pen glided over the paper, leaving behind a signature that looked eerily similar to the one you had used for years. Jen took the contract from you and nodded solemnly before placing it in her briefcase.

"Colonel Capstone, she's about to breech the barrier!" Andy spoke to a green army sargent figure in his hand. His Bucket O' Soldiers emptied and his pillows laid in a wall in anticipation of the looming threat: "The backhaired snake!"

Blair barged in on cue wearing her shirt on backwards, walking backwards and whipping her ankle-length hair backward to knock over cardboard boxes aplenty as she slithered into the battle scene. "Hsssss," she hissed dramatically, waving a rubber snake in the air. "I am the dreaded Backhaired Snake, here to conquer your puny fortifications!"

Andy's eyes widened as he watched her approach. He'd spent hours setting up his army base with the precision of a military tactician, and she had just destroyed it in seconds with the flailing of a simple ponytail. The room looked like it had been hit by a tornado, but the chaos was just part of the game.

"Sounds like a trouble thicker than even we can handle together." Andy as Woody asserted before bouncing to Buzz, "That's what Feedback's For!"

Molly cooed at the beeping of the code imput terminal. Blair then added. "You gotta play with that thing more often."

"I've no such time to waste on frivolous notions." Andy articulated, clearly this was the Alien DNA talking. "This is a simple yet effective mechanism and I need to connect it to a drone network."

"Can it tell who's a friend and who's a foe?"

Andy halted in his tracks, speechless. You leaned in to cradle him over your shoulder. "It's okay, the house is safe enough as it is. You shouldn't pressure yourself."

"But it's supposed to be my job to protect this house!" Andy whimpered into your breast.

"And you've done a good job at it so far." You affirmed to the toad-like creature in your hands as you kissed it on the forehead. "Do take it easy, my child."

Late to work, Diva still felt out of it from yesterday's visit to Nazarick. Nowhere was it more evident than her burning the Potato Squishies during kitchen duty, no doubt that's coming out of her paycheck.

Is it the first day of school yet?

You rocked Molly back and forth, her headphones covering her eardrums with classical music as your companions sat on the couch with Beth on the phone. Her daughter Summer has been a good help getting Tinkles adjusted for human life, and Rick's back up at his 'work' doing his thing while she and her husband Jerry were working around the clock to work with adoption centers willing to help Tinkles (Tiffany in the eyes of the law) find a fitting forever family for her. "Well, things haven't exactly been slow on our side. Say hi, Blair!"

"Hi, Mrs Smith!" Blair beemed.

"The kids caught and booted another player from that Survival Game, that's always a good thing." Jen admitted.

"Just say you killed him." Beth bluntly admitted. "You should be used to this by now."

"I know, but do you realize what would happen if I said that to the cops?" Jen replied, raising an eyebrow.

"Fair point." Beth responded with a chuckle, before her expression turned serious. "But, have you guys had any more... visits?"

"Not since Tanya. And frankly, I hope that's the last of them." Jen sighed, gently setting Molly back down on your lap and walking over to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. Andy flicked the channel to CNN

"Six Fires broke out throughout the world, all with the same type of infernal creature, most with seemingly random creatures from popular collectable monster franchises emerging from the flames," the news anchor announced with a stern voice, her eyes glued to the teleprompter. The living room fell into a tense silence as the images of charred buildings and terrified civilians flickered on the TV screen. One by one, the burning beasts were cataloged—each one more terrifying than the last. With each beast, an image of what followed them in was displayed below, some were creatures they knew from trading cards, others were completely new to them. But one image in particular was most perplexing, a group of first graders and three small infants. One of the boys was feeling for something on his head that wasn't there. "Authorities were informed that these beasts are Tantrums and emerge from 'Plot Holes'. The cause of these 'Plot Holes' is still unknown, but experts suggest it could be related to a new form of interdimensional travel or perhaps something more... sinister."

Andy fell over and gets coffee spilled on his shoulder, Jen ran over to mend the pain.

Doing all that he can to fly discreetly, he cursed the blindness of this transformation but his echolocation could easily detect the heat signatures of the fires burning from miles away. The wind whipped through his fur as he approached the first fire, his heart pounding in his chest like a drum as he descended upon the building and went for the root of the fire as

Diva was getting some work done, plenty of families and barflies to tend to. Tables waited, dinners served, and drinks poured. Overall, a better showing than yesterday, she thought to herself, though her mind kept drifting back to the eerie news report from earlier. It was the kind of thing that didn't usually affect small-town life, but hearing a couple of the townsfolk whispering about it, their eyes glancing nervously at the TV before returning to their meals. Diva couldn't blame them; the thought of those monsters appearing anywhere was unsettling, let alone the possibility of them coming through here.

-[X] afterwards, release frigid air at the flames to extinguish them.
--[X] if that doesn't work, form an ice wall in the perimeter of the fire to keep it from spreading.
-[X] search for the tantrums.
-[X] if another alien is rolled, call reinforcements and search for a fire hydrant, using alchemy to create a hose to start dealing with the fire.
--[X] then search for the tantrums or attack them with pressurized water.

Red Alien Rolled

Andy looked to his red shelled arms and found that he had become a new alien, one that looked like a walking fire hydrant. Thinking quickly, he extinguished the flames as he made his way to the Tantrum. Barring the fire's roar, it felt quiet.

Too quiet.

When he approached the Tantrum, he found that it was a well dressed man, with a burning wolf skull biting at where his head should be. "Hellooooo...." it slurred.

Andy hesitated, it wasn't doing anything, but something felt off about it. Something numb.

He got his walkie talkie out and called Diva. "He's standing there, menacingly."

"Who?"

"The Tantrum I found!" Andy yelped. "He's not doing anything!"

"He might just be hurting." Diva sighed. "If a Tantrum can be this still, it might just be seeking an end to it's pain, a release to the other side."

Andy was dumbfounded. "So you're just telling me to kill him?"

"He's likely already dead, Andy." Diva spoke bluntly. "He needs you to put him to rest, I'll try to sooth him."

Echoing the song of the stars she recorded on her tape, Diva lured the creature into a sense of comfort, that everything would be fine. And then, with a strong pump from Andy's cannons, the Tantrum knew no more. Andy looked around and found a mother in a black and purple dress holding a young girl around his age with messy black hair. He detransforms and introduced himself. "Who are you?"

"My name is Gine." The woman greeted the boy. "This is my child, Zelari."

"Hey there!" Zelari cheered. "Do you know where I am?"

"Yeah, you're on earth." Andy smiled, "wanna go to my place for a bit?"

"Absolutely not!"

"But Mooo-om!"

"We already have a lot on our plate as it is." Jen asserted to her son. "We can't just bring in some random alien we found at a fire scene."

"We brought in Seita and Setsuko!" Andy argued back. "They're aliens, and you guys liked them!"

"Because we saved them from an Emulator!" Jen fumed. "We don't know if we can doubled them into the pocket thing we have in the TV in your room."

"Pocket?" Gine tilted her head with peaked curiousity.

"It's what we call the pocket dimension in our Game Genie." Diva stepped in, trying to ease the tension. "Our Emulator Unit Scrunchables is currently tending to the garden, so it's safe to bring her inside. But we're going to need to figure out a way to help her get home, or at least keep her safe."

"Thank you." Gine nodded. "But I must admit, I am quite lost. I know nothing of this 'Game Genie' or 'Pocket Dimension'. Can you explain?"

"I'm guessing we're gonna need a closer look here." Zelari made her way upstairs, her eyes wide with excitement as she opened the door to the bedroom where she saw the TV system. She stepped forward and touched the screen. The screen shined and they found themselves in a cozy little garden where waiting for them they found:

Meet goat mom
"Wow!" Zelari exclaimed. "It's like a magic door!"

"Ah, a new guest, I take it?" You guessed to which your family nodded in confirmation. "I am the Four of Spade, one of 98 Emulators in the vast multiverse. Welcome to our... let's call it a safe space for now," You said to Gine and Zelari, putting down the watering can.

"This is incredible!" Gine's eyes were wide with amazement as she took in the lush greenery of the garden. It was clear she hadn't seen anything like it in a long time. "What is this place?"

"Harvest Moon." You answered. "A gardening video game. It's one of our favorite ROMs in the Game Genie's library."

Gine looked around, bewildered by the peaceful scene. "A game? This is where you keep other beings?"

You nodded. "Sort of. It's a way to keep them safe until we can figure out how to get them home." You explained. "But for now, let's get you both cleaned up. You've been through quite an ordeal."

Diva took the lead, bringing them into the house and showing them to the bathroom. "You can borrow some of Summer's clothes. They should fit Zelari, and I'm sure we can find something for you, too, Gine." She said with a warm smile.

As they disappeared into the bathroom, Jen turned to you and Diva with a concerned look. "What do we do now?" Jen whispered. "We can't just keep them here, not with everything going on."

"We'll figure it out." Diva placed a hand on your shoulder, her eyes reflecting the same worry. "We've faced worse, remember?"

You nodded, thinking back to the countless battles you'd all endured together. "We need to get them home, that's the first priority. But that's for tomorrow. Tonight, they need rest and food."

Dinner was a mix of pizza from Pizza Planet and some home-cooked dishes that Gine had prepared. She spoke very little, mostly watching the interactions between the family with a mix of wonder and sadness. Zelari, on the other hand, was full of questions about how this hero watch of Andy's worked. She had seen the transformation and was utterly fascinated by it.

The game-like serenity of the Harvest Moon garden was a stark contrast to the chaos of the outside world, but it couldn't completely mask the tension that hung in the air. Despite their exhaustion, Gine and Zelari couldn't help but stare at the TV that contained such a tranquil universe. It was a poignant reminder of the strange and dangerous path they had stumbled upon.

It's Friday Night, and the mood is probably tense, so make with the activities.

[X] Plan: investigating!
-[X][Jen] Continue Training Healing Magic.
Jen woke to the smell of sizzling bacon and the comforting warmth of early morning sunlight streaming through the kitchen window. She stretched out her arms, feeling the coolness of the wooden floorboards beneath her bare feet. As she padded over to the stove, she glanced at the calendar pinned to the fridge. Eleven days left until the end of Summer Vacation. A peculiar mix of excitement and dread filled her chest. On one hand, she was grateful that Andy and the rest of the kids can be kept busy, but on the other, she hadn't had a moment to breathe since the Emulatior Game came in and upended her life. She looked over to a nearby plant that had wilted somewhat. She took a deep breath and held her hand over it. Concentrating hard, she whispered the words of a simple healing spell she had been practicing. A faint green glow surrounded her hand and the plant perked up. It wasn't perfect, but it was a start.

Downstairs, Jen found you, already dressed in a frilly apron and busy cooking breakfast. "Good morning, dear," you said, flipping the bacon with a spatula. "You're up early. Did you sleep well?"

Jen nodded, trying to ignore the twinge of guilt she felt. "Are our guests okay?"

"They're well." You confirmed, tossing a newspaper to her side. "Perhaps we could release them on Monday?"

"Saturday."

"Sunday."

"Perfect."

"Good."

Jen flipped the paper open and scanned the headlines for any mention of the other players. The room was filled with the sound of sizzling and the faint clink of dishes being placed on the table. Her eyes darted across the articles, looking for anything that might give her a clue. "Hmm, nothing here," she murmured, feeling slightly disappointed.

"You'll come up with a lead yet, mistress." You affirmed to Jen before spoonfeeding Molly some mashed carrots. "Come along the choo-choo."

An article peaks Jen's curiousity. A criminal Investigator downplaying the fire Andy had extinguished.

There was something about this Sgt. Elias Dumbo that tipped her off, rubbing her the wrong way, maybe it was the knowing look on his face... who knows.

Reward: Keep your eyes peeled on Dumbo, he might be one of those clods.

Andy adjusted his Omnitrix and was ready to hit the Archive as Gray Matter

Bamph!
(D100=15)

But Humongousaur's sausage fingers got in the way of the text. Diva rolled her eyes and spoke to it. "Access fictional character registry for Gine."

(D100=92)

"Gine is a character from the Dragonball Minus manga," the Archive's digitized voice informed them as Diva began snapping her fingers in thought. "Mother to Raditz and Kakarot, she does not appear as a Player or an active Emulation."

"So she's from the plot hole we sealed?" Andy probed, to which Diva nodded back. "Now look up her little girl Zelari."

"Data not found."

Diva's eye twitched, "Pardon."

"Data not found."

"Whadiya mean!" Blair barked back. "She's clearly with Gine so she has to have appeared in the manga, what was she pregnant with Zel in the man-bun."

"Manga." Diva corrected.

"Please insert genetic signature to broaden search to genetic matches." The Archive explained.

"That's..." Diva slumped back in her chair, feeling deflated. "That's all we know for now. We'll look for a means to nab her DNA."

Reward: You know where to send these little ladies back.

Zelari tinkered with a small motorbike in the garage in the Archive, her eyes focused intently on the tiny gears and wires. She didn't hear the door creak open, nor did she notice the shadow that grew larger on the floor as someone approached. It was only when the smell of breakfast wafted in that she looked up. "Oh, you're up!" She said, smiling broadly at the sight of Bacon and Eggs which she scarfed down at an alarming rate. "Got any seconds?"

Clearly her bottomless pit of a stomach was not content with just one plate. Andy watched as Zelari devoured the second plate, feeling a pang of hunger herself. She set the newspaper aside and turned to you, raising an eyebrow. "Do you think we should invite her to play a game with us?" Blair suggested, half joking, half hopeful.

Diva was racing through tables, her apron fluttering like a cape as she delivered steaming pizzas to hungry customers. The neon lights of Pizza Planet bounced off the chrome surfaces and reflected in her eyes, which were already glazed over with the end-of-shift exhaustion. But tonight was different; a strange tension hung in the air, thick like the scent of melted mozzarella and garlic. The buzz of the arcade games in the corner had an eerie undertone, and the laughter seemed forced.

As she approached table seven, a family of four, she noticed something odd. The youngest kid's eyes weren't glued to the frenetic dance of the game screens but to a spot on the floor. Diva followed his gaze and saw a slice of pizza that fell on its topping-layered face, a river of cheese stretching out to trip up the Busboy. She sighed, knowing she had to act fast. With a deft kick, she sent the rogue slice skidding under the nearest table, but not before it had snagged the attention of the entire restaurant.

The silence was sudden and heavy, like a forgotten cheese pizza left in the oven too long. The family looked at her, the children's smiles fading faster than the toppings on a pepperoni. The father's eyes narrowed, his hand tightening around a crust. Diva braced herself for a scolding or a complaint, but instead, she heard a snicker, then another, and another, until the whole restaurant was chuckling. The tension broke like a bubble of pizza dough poked with a rolling pin.

Clearly no one was gonna take her seriously at this joint again.

Critical Failure: You've been fired.

(D100=9)

As Diva hung up her apron for the last time, she pulled out Murumi's card and dialed the number to check to see if her tape made it through. But alas, the universe had other plans. The phone was dead. No lights, no dial tone, no way to save her job. Diva felt the weight of failure settle into her stomach like a lead pizza dough.

Failure: You couldn't connect to Strawberry Productions.
