Your character will be an existing character with their own predetermined personality and background and so on. They will be a gadgeteer-type of hero, lacking their own powers and relying on their intelligence and the devices that they build.
Character creation will consist of picking the initial gadgets built by the hero and then you will get straight into the first adventure of our hero.
The three main inventions of this hero so far: G-3 Alloy - A grey alloy/compound that is strong, durable and lightweight whilst also being non-conductive and incredible resistant to heat and cold. However, once it has been shaped upon creation, it is locked in place and cannot be reforged, only broken. Kinetic Energy Projectors – Basically repulsors, they direct blasts of kinetic energy which can be used for flight or attacks. ElecMag Power Core/Cells – ElecMag is short for Electro-Magnetic and ElecMag power cores are powered by electro-magnetism and passively recharge off of ambient electro-magnetism.
Gadgets
You have a total of 50 Points to spend. Plan voting will not be used as I will be using by line in the tally and any unused points will be refunded into other parts of the character sheet.
Armour
You can pick each option only once and if you pick multiple options, you can still only wear one at a time.
[] G-3 Light Armour: A few plates of armour made from your G-3 Alloy, they will provide some protection even it isn't much and leaves a decent amount of you still exposed. Costs 3 Points.
[] G-3 Medium Armour: A heavier version of the G-3 light armour, the G-3 Medium Armour provides significant more protection as it covers more of you. However, it still doesn't protect everywhere, leaving you with some weak spots. Costs 5 Points.
[] G-3 Heavy Armour: Expensive to create, the G-3 Heavy Armour is a major upgrade or two over the medium version. Essentially a G-3 version of plate armour, it can stop a barrage of bullets in its track, making it worth the costly expensive of building it if you value the unprecedented protection it carries. Costs 13 Points.
Sidearm
The pistol itself is required to use any of the special ammunition. If you get the special ammo, you won't be use it if you don't get the pistol. Each load of special ammo lasts for 12 uses, after which you must spend time building more. You may pick the same special ammo option multiple times to get more of it. (Last note that I am not some kind of American gun nut and that the descriptions and the mechanical effects of each bullet type are based off of old notes and some basic research I did.)
[] G-3 Pistol: A semi-automatic pistol made of your G-3 alloy, it packs a punch on par with actual rifles. Costs 6 Points.
[] Render Bullets – A bullet made of G-3 Alloy and coated in it, it contains an explosive core that goes off shortly after the bullet is fired. Costs 8 Points
[] Razor Bullets – Open-Tipped bullets made of G-3 Alloy, these bullets are more accurate than the rest. Costs 6 Points.
[] Ripper Bullets – These Hollow Point bullets drop targets harder than your other bullets, but without the extra lethality of their explosive counterparts. Costs 6 Points.
[] Pounder Bullets – Bullets with a solid core of concentrated Gardium, these bullets hit hard and pack a punch, smashing their way through armour. Costs 8 Points.
[] Blaster Bullets – With an explosive core, these bullets go off with a small boom when they strike their target. Costs 10 Points.
[] Hunter Bullets – Like your Render bullets, the Hunter bullets have a superheated core that burns it way through the initial armour of its target, giving them more of punch. Costs 11 Points.
Mobility
You can pick each of these ones and you can use all three at once.
[] KEP Boots: ElecMag-Powered Kinetic Energy Projectors for your feet, these can be used for unwieldy flight or for weak ranged blasts or for potent strikes up close. Costs 8 Points.
[] KEP Gauntlets: Similar to the KEP boots, these ElecMag-Powered Kinetic Energy Projectors are off your hands and while their position makes it harder to fly with them, it is easier to aim their ranged attacks. Costs 8 Points.
[] KEP Backpack: A pair of ElecMag-Powered Kinetic Energy Projector to go on your back, this backpack allows for superior flight over its boot or gauntlet counterparts and makes it easier to quickly get out of the way of an attack. Costs 8 Points.
Weapons
You can pick each weapon option multiple times as they can be used up and/or lost over time.
[] Hidden Wrist Blade: This is basically a knife attacked to the inner part of your lower arm, but the mechanism allows it to strike upward to be used in a fight whilst keeping it hidden under long-sleeved clothing. Costs 5 Points
[] Molecular Blade: A knife made of G-3, but it has been sharped to such a degree that it can cut through anything. At least for two or three strikes. Expect to replace these a lot. Costs 3 Points.
[] ElecMag Baton: A baton made of G-3, it hits harder than your average baton and contents a ElecMag power core that can use to electrify its victims. Costs 6 Points.
[] Electrical Spheres: A group of six small orbs made of G-3, each one contains an ElecMag power cell that can be discharged upon being thrown to electricity a close group of targets. Costs 7 Points.
Scanners & Sensors
You can pick each one multiple times and use each one at the same time.
[] Super-Sense Blocking Fabric: This fabric can be used to block visual detection and you can produced enough of it in a single batch to make a single outfit of clothing. Note that keeping anything from being detected can be a giveaway of its own. Costs 8 Points.
[] Portable Radios: A pair of portable radio communicators, it less you keep in contact with someone else on an encrypted line. Costs 7 Points.
[] Info Scanner: This scanner provides you with clock, a compass and an accurate judgement of how far way something is. Costs 3 Points.
[] Radio Listener: The radio listener does exactly that, letting you listen in on the radio transmissions of yours if you can find them. Costs 1 Point.
[] Night Scanner: This scanner allows you to view something in total darkness. Costs 1 Point.
[] Infrared Scanner: This scanner lets you track things via their heat and warmth. Costs 1 Point.
[] Tracker Scanner: This scanner lets you track trails and hunt down the paths of your targets. Costs 2 Points.
[] Ultravision Scanner: This scanner lets you see things in weird lights that are invisible to a normal human. Could be useful. Costs 1 Point.
[] Ultra-Hearing Listener: This listener lets you hear things that mere human ears cannot detect. Costs 1 Point.
[] Microscope Scanner: This scanner is basically a mobile microscope and the best one that you know of. Costs 4 Points.
Exoskeleton
You can pick this once.
[] Exoskeleton: Powered by a ElecMag power core on the back, this wearable exoskeleton lets you do various things such as bolstering your strength, improving your speed and mobility or giving a boost to your reactions and reflects in a up close fight. Costs 12 Points.

This contains everything I want, flight backpack, blade, baton, and many of the vision items, as well as the exoskeleton of course, the scanner/vision tools could probably be combine into one gadget when we get out of chargen.

An unfitting plan for the name though. G3 is primarily ranged weapon rider. Also if favoring melee then the first option should be getting a rider kick

Vote closed. By the way, I have no clue regarding Kamen Riders except they might be one of the Japanese version of superheroes. G-3 is just a randomly decided place-holder name while the character comes up with an official name. The next update will up tonight, delayed due to a busy RL this week. In the meantime, I wrote a small interlude. Hopefully this character will be relevant.

Eagle watches and waits as the two guards patrol down the corridor. Neither of them see her, motionless amongst the piping along the top of the tunnel.
Eagle doesn't know how to deal with them. They are her enemies, so her training dictates that she must eliminate them without mercy, hesitation or regret. But they also belong to the Masters so her training also dictates that she musts not resist them let alone harm them. Furthermore, Eagle's training tells her that she must always obey the Masters and their servants yet they are now her enemies.
Eagle doesn't know who to blame for that. Is Boar's fault? Or is it Bear's? Boar was the one who first took action against the Masters, but only because of what Bear was doing to Wolf. And yet Bear only did what she did to Wolf because Wolf had failed the Masters. Maybe it is Wolf's fault. Perhaps it is the Masters for ordering Bear to do what she did.
It doesn't matter now. Their group was torn apart and almost of them are gone. Bear? Dead, slain at the ends of Boar. Wolf? Half-beaten to death by Bear and dying on the ground last time you saw her. Shark? Probably dead due to the injuries that Boar gave her. Tiger? His guts spilled and his left arm gone due to Bull's jealousy. Boar? Badly injured by Bear and Shark before being finished off by Bull. As for Bull? The only other survivor that Eagle knows of and certainly no ally of hers anymore.
Eagle cannot go back now. Not when she sided with Boar and Wolf alongside Tiger when Bull staked her future behind Bear and Shark.
And yet Eagle cannot bring herself to leave just yet.
Perhaps she shouldn't have hesitated due to the conflicts in her teaching. She should have struck Bull without hesitation or mercy when she did the same to Tiger. She should have slit Shark's throat before she had a chance to properly engage Boar.
But all of that is too late now. Her group has been torn apart and Eagle is the last survivor of the losers, the ones who betrayed the Masters and were defeated.
When the guards come back, Eagle won't hesitate again.
You are Leonard Geary, son of Cecil Geary and Danica Geary, older brother of Tatianna Geary and Darian Geary.
While you have lived in Grand Lake, the capital of the Duchy of Michigan, you haven't spent all your life there. When you were ten years old when your parents moved from Wessex.
A pair of artisans, your parents provide enough for your family that you consider yourselves to be middle class.
You like your life. You have a good education at school, your parents care for you and you're are smart.
You aren't a boastful man, but it is undeniable that you are incredibly smart. You have designed machines and devices that push the very edge of science.
You have invented a miniature power plant that generates electricity from the ambient electro-magnetism in the year.
You have invented a device which can generate and direct raw kinetic energy.
You have created a compound that is beyond anything else. Strong, durable and lightweight whilst also being non-conductive and incredible resistant to heat and cold, its only downside is the skill required to make it and that once shaped, it can only be broken and not given another form.
And those are only your three main inventions. You have several lesser inventions. You have plates of armour made from your compound to form a lightweight suit of armour that is bulletproof.
At least you think it is bulletproof, you personally haven't had a chance to test it out yet so that claim is remains theoretically for the time being. However, you do have enough confidence in that claim to stake your life on it being true.
You also have an exterior skeleton device that improve your natural capabilities. Powered by an ElecMag power cell in the back, it has three different functions. The first is to enhance your strength while the second is to prove your mobility. The third is a combat function, allowing you to react faster in the quick confusion that is melee combat.
To go along with your armour, you have backpack with two of your kinetic energy projectors along with a four ElecMag power cores, two to power each KEP.
Other than that, you have two weapons, you only have one of each right now, you can easily make more if needed. The first is a normal knife, but made of your G-3 compound and sharpen to such a degree that it can cut through anything. Your current one is third as the price of being able to cut through anything if that the blade doesn't last long.
Your second weapon isn't your first version, but it is the first version of it made from the G-3 compound. A baton with an attached ElecMag power cell, it can both deliver a physical blow and an electrical one. And with the ElecMag power cell passively recharging all the time, it will never run out of charge.
Your earlier versions were made from pipes and of these, you still have a handful in storage. They don't compare to your latest one, but they could serve as emergency weapons if needed.
Otherwise, you have several sensors, either visual scanners or auditory listeners. While useful, these devices are still only handheld and there for you can only use one at a time due to requiring one hand to hold and another to use.
As for why you have built all of this? Well, you are going to be a hero.
You always wanted to do good in the world and fighting crime is a good way to battle evil. You can always invent things for the good of the world when you are older. Probably will, but you would rather not attention to yourself while you are still young.
But while you wish to fight the good fight and make the world a better place, you have a secondary motivation.
Saving the life of your girlfriend.
You first met her years ago, shortly after you arrived in Grand Lake. You didn't know who she truly was back then nor was her condition as bad as it is now. To you, Joan was just a cheerful girl who was happy to be friends with a new arrival.
The two of you got off great due to personalities that got along and a shared interested in science and emerging technologies, with you leaning towards practical applications whilst Joan prefers the theoretical side of things.
It was three days after spending time with her that you found out that Joan is seventh in line to the Duchy of Michigan, the youngest daughter of Lord Marcus Fowler, younger son and sole living child of Duke Richard Fowler of Michigan.
You still got to be friends with her after that as while you are just a commoner and she is a high ranking noble. Apparently, her family thought it is good for Joan to have a proper friend who has befriended her for honest reasons.
Especially since she had so little friends. Over time, that friendship blossomed into young love and the two of you have been unofficially dating for two years now.
But not all is well for Joan for she is unwell and her illness is slowly killing her. Weakening limbs, fading vigour and struggling internal body parts. It started when she was about eight and it has only gotten worse since.
These days Joan remains bed ridded under the best care that her incredible rich family can afford and it is predicted that she won't live to reach adulthood.
'Lucky to reach sixteen' they say, 'Dead before seventeen.'
Not if you have anything to with the matter.
You need to save your girlfriend and you will not allow failure to be an option.
That leaves you with two duties, fighting evil and finding a way to save Joan.

Fighting Evil
[] [Hero] Acquire a suitable list of targets.
[] [Hero] Patrol a bit at night, see if you stumble across any trouble.
[] [Hero] Wait until a threat appears.
[] [Hero] Write-in.
Less of a new invention and more combining what you already got. By combining your G-3 plate armour with your exoskeleton and KEP backpack, you can combine the three separate gadgets into a single creation.
A few plates of armour made from your G-3 Alloy, they will provide some protection even it isn't much and leaves a decent amount of you still exposed.
[] [Invent] Design/G-3 Medium Armour – 4 Hours – Trivial
A heavier version of the G-3 light armour, the G-3 Medium Armour provides significant more protection as it covers more of you. However, it still doesn't protect everywhere, leaving you with some weak spots.
Like your Render bullets, the Hunter bullets have a superheated core that burns it way through the initial armour of its target, giving them more of punch.
[] [Invent] Design/KEP Boots – 10 Hours – Trivial
ElecMag-Powered Kinetic Energy Projectors for your feet, these can be used for unwieldy flight or for weak ranged blasts or for potent strikes up close.
Similar to the KEP boots, these ElecMag-Powered Kinetic Energy Projectors are off your hands and while their position makes it harder to fly with them, it is easier to aim their ranged attacks.
This is basically a knife attacked to the inner part of your lower arm, but the mechanism allows it to strike upward to be used in a fight whilst keeping it hidden under long-sleeved clothing.
A knife made of G-3, but it has been sharped to such a degree that it can cut through anything. At least for two or three strikes. Expect to replace these a lot.
A group of six small orbs made of G-3, each one contains an ElecMag power cell that can be discharged upon being thrown to electricity a close group of targets.
This fabric can be used to block visual detection and you can produced enough of it in a single batch to make a single outfit of clothing. Note that keeping anything from being detected can be a giveaway of its own.
Well you have a longer than usual choice selection for a prologue. The difference on choices don't appear particularly large and the list blends together especially with the description spoilers. That's my guess. Of you introduce and focus on the main character more people may be more inclined to participate in the larger vote? Sorry that's all I have I can't think of anything else

There is an old saying that knowing is half the battle and you can't help, but agree with it. And to this end, you decide to spend a couple of hours each week going over what possible targets that might be out for you.
It isn't that easy as clear cut criminal activity is taken care of by the city guard, especially any which reaches the public knowledge. Because of this, you mostly fail at getting any thing obvious criminal and nefarious to take care of. Instead, you must resort mostly to rumours and lucky breaks.
That said, you are able to narrow down a few possible targets. One is a local gang hideout that you can hit. Belonging to one of the bigger gangs, the Liontooth Tigers, the city guard have yet to discover it and instead of passing on your information to them, you could act on it yourself. Suiting up and taking on the gangsters would be a simple and easy job to get your feet into the game.
The rest are rumours with some solid evidence backing them up that you can investigate. The first is the case of Patricia Carlos, army officer turned serial killer. On the other side of the lake, the madwoman targeted Muslims and a Norseman, including two young children. A monster, she appears to hate non-Christian and believes it is her God-given duty to cleanse the world of them.
Revealed by her captain when she tried to kill him as well, Patricia managed to get away, but suffered some grievous injuries in the process, including the lost of two fingers and facial disfigurement. The latter is particularly important as someone matching Patricia's description has been spotted in Grand Lake. If she is here, Patricia has yet to kill anyone else, but it only a matter of time before she does so.
One thing that you note about Patricia is her moniker Shadow Demoness and how the killer earned it. It is claimed by the soldiers who attempted to subdue her after she murdered Captain Henry Williams that she has a supernatural ability to control 'shadow tendrils', which she can use to block bullets and blades or drain the life out of her victims.
You have your doubts about whether such an ability is truly supernatural or not as it might be the usage of technology to do what was previously impossible like you have. That said, she will be dangerous either way as Patricia can do things beyond mundane limitations.
Fortunately, you have access to extraordinary abilities of your own.
The second set of rumours that you can investigate have been around for some time. And by some time, you mean decades. Over a century in fact. The rumours are of assassins, a secret organisation of them covertly operating in the Duchy of Michigan, out of Grand Lake itself.
While you initially dismissed the rumours at first, you kept coming across them in your investigations. There isn't anything that is overtly noticeable, but if you take a moment to look at things like you have chosen to do there is certainly something to investigate.
Unfortunately, while you have found something behind the rumours, you still only have rumours to go on right now. Further investigation, including going out and checking things out in person, will be require if you wish to get to the bottom of these rumours and possibly find these assassins.
The latest rumour is more solid than the previous two in its own way. Not too far away from where you live is a crazy female who has been causing trouble, harassing people, stealing items, mainly food and clothing, and has been able to consistently avoid the city guard's attempts to bring her in.
Exact details are unclear to due to conflicting rumours and reports. Some claim she is a young kid while others claim she is in her late teens while even more claim that she is an adult. Even the city guard can't determine her exact age group.
Furthermore, they can't determine a clear image of her physical appearance either. Her skin colour ranges from pale white to dark brown depending on who you ask while her hair is more consistent with it either being black or a darker shade of brown. On the flipside, her eye colour is pretty much all of the place with it being gold or white or blue or green or brown or red or midnight black and a bunch of other colours.
What is clear in all the rumours is that this person is a dangerous threat. Armed with either knives or pistol or both, she threatens and scares off those who encounter her and she is being blamed for several thieves in that neighbourhood. Given how it is mainly food, clothing and other basic essentials being stolen, you are inclined to believe that this person is taking items require for her daily life, indicating that she doesn't have a home or livelihood or a normal support network.
While she has yet to hurt anybody or commit a serious crime, this lady has proved to be uncatchable to the city guard. You on the other hand might have more success with your extraordinary abilities and not being limited by regulations in what you can do.
You got your targets, you just need to pick one.

Studying biology goes well for you. While you have a basic knowledge in the three areas of science, you haven't study biology in-depth like you have with chemistry and physics. Given how Joan's illness is biological in nature like all diseases and ailments, it is time to rectify your lack of knowledge on the subject.
While you would like to just focus on illnesses like the ones that Joan suffers, you know that you will require an understanding of how the human body works first. Fortunately, there have been great advances in that area over the last century and if one knows where to look and has the right connections, it is trivial to find the latest research on the human body.
While it will take you a while to go over all of it, you grasp enough of the basics on how the human body works by spending an hour or two on it each evening.

While it is arguable that your next project might be your most ambitious, it is without a doubt your hardest. While you can use the three inventions together well enough, turning them into a single item is a massive challenge.
The exoskeleton is a single set of mechanisms with the semi-removable power core while the G-3 armour is meant to be worn like standard plate armour. One is meant to singular whole and not taken apart while the other is made of several different parts and meant to be put on and taken off one piece at a time.
While you have been able to get around this by putting on the exoskeleton first and then putting on the G-3 plate armour on top, that particular setup isn't viable for the project. And that isn't even getting onto the issue of including your KEP backpack into your armour, which you normally just wear on top of everything else.
Only spending a couple hours each evening on the problem, it takes you most of the week to identify these basic problems. It is only then that you can begin to come up with a solution to solve them.
It doesn't take you too long to come up with a solution on how to solve the problem. If you can split up the exoskeleton into multiple parts like the G-3 heavy armour, you can make it so that the exoskeleton can be put on alongside your G-3 armour.
The only problem is that while you have come up with a solution, it will take you more time to actually come up with a working design.

Targets:
[] The Easy Job. A local gang is operating in the local area and you found one of their main hideouts. Hitting it and taking down the criminals so the city guard can arrest them would be a simple task to cut your teeth on.
[] The Shadow Demoness. An army lieutenant was recently revealed to be a bigoted serial killer, targeting innocents who don't share the Christian faith. After killing her captain, she suffered serious injuries and barely got away. You have found some signs that Patricia Carlos might have made her way to Grand Lake and you would like to investigate further in person.
[] The Assassins. There are some rumours of assassins operating in Grand Lake, persisting over the decades. From your investigations, there may be some truth to them and you feel that a more personal touch is required in any further investigation.
[] The Crazy Lady. From what you heard, there is a crazy, but very dangerous woman or girl only a couple of neighbourhoods away who has been terrorising the locals and has been able to evade the city guard with total ease. Perhaps you can succeed where they have failed? [] Stay Home.
