Gacha in the Summoner is a story currently, taking place inside the world of a book titled the summoner where the protagonist instead of summoning a fire lizard, becomes host to a Gacha filled with stories/worlds/powers I personally enjoy or are owned by me without being used e.g. a list of games in my steam library. I want people to be inspired and intrigued. Oh and final note I love to ramble on and want to make sure you know what your are investing your time into so, every roll is entirely random, can be anything from a fancy spork to the ability to control time.

Summoning A Gacha - Chapter 1 New
Fletcher snuck into the graveyard just outside town, he wasn't sure why, it wasn't like the book would do anything anyway. Afterall most commoners who were found to be adepts showed minor magical abilities long before they summoned anything, like creating a spark or moving small objects without a touch. He placed the book on an outcropping of stone before sitting on a stump. He opened the book and instantly...

Fletcher woke up coughing his everything hurt but the most obvious discomfort was the swelling in his throat and the feeling of new muscles in his hand area that were currently relaxed.

Then he saw it, a light heading towards him, the thuds of feet on the path he took prior. "I am beginning to think you have led us on a fool's errand" came Dirdricks voice,

Dirdrick the son of Fletcher's town debt lender and a huge bully much like his father. "I'm telling you, I saw him walking up through the back gates of the village" Calista said,

Fletcher remembered her as a newer guard and one of Didric's drinking companions. Didric spoke again "Surely you understand how absurd it is for Fletcher to be here, he has no family to speak of, other than his adopted father. Who would he be visiting?" Calista retorted

"We've searched every other area north of the village, he must be here". "Well get searching then, you too Jakov i'm not paying you to just stand around"

Fletcher knew he wouldn't win a fight against them, not only was he outnumbered but he was also out skilled, Calista was a trained guard hired for her athleticism and Jakov was a living mass of trained muscle, he couldn't win a fight and he couldn't outrun Calista.

His only choice was to hide, so he slunk into the darkness searching for safety inside the mausoleum.

Fletcher held his breath as after a good ten, fifteen minutes of hiding he saw light bend round the entrance of the mausoleum. All three of the group wandered in and begin talking,

"Did I say you could stop searching yet" Didric growled, Callista replied "He's not here, he must have doubled back when I went to get you" her voice held a tinge of exhaustion.

"Don't think you're getting paid for this, no Fletcher no money" Didric spat. Jakov complained about the rain and Didric insulted him before turning to leave.

Which was when Fletcher anxiously stretched his hand creating a *blurp* sound as a quill dropped to the ground it was glowing a subdued orange. "What was that?" Didric hissed quickly, turning around.

(Authors Notes)
Okay so insane first roll, I personally only know a little about paladins its one of a couple in my rolls that I just own on steam rather then have played through or read completely, but from just the googling I did to find character abilities, the lore is insane, as a first roll and a rare character template i'm going to stick to a couple innate abilities and have him earn stronger ones if he actually works for it.

Also hope you are enjoying it so far, a good portion of this is taken from the original book, i feel like it works to allow those who know about the series to slide deeper into the madness and see how my story takes a very different path.

Chapter 2 - Fortune Favours the Bold New
"Is that you Fletcher" Didric said, before pushing Jakov to go investigate round the tomb Fletcher was currently crouched behind. They were going to find him, Fletcher stood up "Hello Didric" he said, "Caught like a rat in a trap" Didric hissed "Still feeling clever, Fletchy?"

"Three against one is it?" Fletcher stated venom in his voice "Too scared to fight me like a man?" Fletcher mocked. "No, Fletcher, I know what you're trying to do" Didric laughed a gut twirling laugh

"I won't be fighting you today". "Alright let's get this beating over with then, I have things to do". Fletcher commented, he ran his hand along the lip of stone next to him an entrance to the catacombs.

The small chapel a short distance away hiding another entrance, if he could open this entrance he could make a run away from them, it was a long shot but his only one anyway.
"We aren't here to beat you up Fletcher" Didric said his tone unnervingly calm "We're here to kill you" a monstrous grin split Didric's face.

"Kill me, with the pinkertons in town? You must be an idiot, Didric" Fletcher shot back. "Fletcher, my father has the Pinkertons wrapped around his finger, after all they've just made a very lucrative deal" Didric boasts, sending a chill down Fletcher's back.

The three slowly approach while Didric begins to explain the deal his father has made "You see Fletcher, they are going to start press-ganging convicted criminals into the army, and on the journey to the elven front they will need somewhere to rest"

Didrics smile widens his face practically split into two. "Which is where our little town comes in we are the closest settlement to the elven front so once father collects all the villagers debts we can take their houses and turn the entire village into a prison, imagine charging the same price as luxurious inn, whilst serving gruel and bedding made of straw"

Fletcher's face fell as he thought of his home, this beautiful village hundreds of generations old made into a prison. Most of the townsfolk losing their houses, unable to pay debts up to ten times the amount lent.

Until he thought of a glaring flaw "It'll never work Didric the Elven front doesn't need conscripts. They send the dregs up to wait for retirement" Fletcher pointed out.

The tablet now far enough out he could fit through the gap "Nice thought but you're wrong Fletchy, dead wrong" Didrics foul smile grew even wider than before stretched across his face

"You see the Elven front is the perfect training ground, experienced warriors to teach them and relatively safe then ship them south once they're ready, this plan is perfect, there's just one more thing to tell you" his eyes gleamed like a cultist meeting there cursed God

"Just before we finished the deal I remembered you and your father, Fletchy. So I reminded my father that the new recruits would need equipment. So the Pinkertons made an exclusive deal to purchase weapons for the elven front from my family and my family alone, which will be putting your father resolutely out of business"

Hatred bubbled inside Fletcher, he had never wanted to kill someone but now he understood the compulsion, Didric had to die. "Nothing to say?" Didric queried "Right… lets kill him".

The words left Didrics mouth as Fletcher roared a bubbling sensation similar to gargling water but with a slight burn built within his throat before pouring out a thick gout of acid covering Jakov and Didrics right half, Jakov began to scream as his flesh bubbled against the corrosive acid.

Fletcher doubted he would forgot the sound his scream made, he definitely wouldn't be able to forgot the slight hiss made from the acid as it devoured Jakov alive,

Callista screamed and ran, Fletcher unable to stop her as she was stood right at the entrance, Didric roared running at Fletcher attempting to stab him a screech sounded from the blade as it slid off fletchers skin leaving a light bruise before Fletcher grabbed Didrics head

"W-w-what are you?" Didric managed to say fear evident on his face similar to that of a rabbit caught by a hunter, "My Fath—" was all Didric managed to say before Fletcher tensed the imaginary muscle and pierced Didrics head with a quill

Multiple liquids leaked from the flesh sculpture that once was Didric coagulating in an effect not dissimilar to an oil slick.

So got another insane roll the literal force and half Luke Skywalkers potential, which is pretty good considering most basic force powers trump almost all magic users spells, fortunately that isn't true for the summons but Fletcher's getting stronk (well if he can figure out the force anyway).
Also slightly worried these aren't going to be easy to click through I am a first time poster and just wanted to throw my work out there after wishing there were A. more gacha fics and B. more powers that were shit i love. So this is my plan to solve that. See you next chapter once it's written, oh and feel free to suggest more show/books/games you want in the gacha i've only got 90 so far and a good chunk are more niche stuff I like can't wait for those to pop up.

Chapter 3 - A Lucky Escape New
Fletcher stood still shocked… Before a sword appeared in his hand the weight pushing its blade towards the ground, the sword was easily bigger than Fletcher by around two feet, the blade slightly curved, must have been made for an extra large man or on horseback? It was of excellent mark Fletcher had never seen anything like it. It must be a masterwork his father Berdon would be impressed, searching the blade he found letters across the side 진(眞) 히트맨, a language he had never read.

Then an idea tickled his brain he could tell it wasn't his idea, an energy now spoke to him and him alone, it was in all things but to him it could speak and it told him that the words on the blade, no the Odachi said True Hitman. The unknown force slowly left his mind, no, a known force now, The Force.

He looked down at the body's now, quickly reminded of the fact that there were two corpses but three people. Callista would tell people how he spat acid and killed two men like a monster, a beast to be put down. He had to leave, and it had to be now. He thought about putting the Odachi away and *poof" it was gone he panicked where was it? What happened?

And immediately it was back in his hands, he thought of it disappearing again and it did, not only was it a masterwork but it could be summoned like a beast. True Hitman was appearing to be an impressive blade.

Now without the large weapon in hand Fletcher realised the book was gone, no not gone just not here. In fact he could feel it deep within his mind, was this the source of the acid and his connection with the force? If so, what in the Ether was it?

Wait, no time to think about this, he had to leave. So quickly he headed out the entranceway to the mausoleum, making the short trip back to the rest of the village.

Fletcher went to his room grabbing a pack to fill with the essentials; food, clothing, any extra tidbits he would need. After preparing his pack he headed to Berdon's room, he was going to have to say goodbye.

He shook Berdon awake. "What is it?" Berdon queried, obviously half awake. "I'm sleeping, wake me in the morning." Fletcher shook him harder this time "Wake up! We don't have much time" Fletcher practically shouted at Berdon.
Berdon sat up "What is it Fletcher?" Berdon asked "It's about Didric" Fletcher responded his breath hitching "I killed him" he quickly clarified "He wanted me dead, he was going to kill me. Him, Jakov and Callista"

"How did you beat all three of them?" Berdon questioned, his eyebrow raised suddenly, much more awake. "I'm still not sure there was this strange feeling inside my throat and then I spat out acid, it melted them…" Fletcher told him his voice was shaking.
"By the Ether…" Berdon whispered barely audible "I've never heard of anything like that, it doesn't sound like magic, but a summoner would know much more" he said much louder now. Berdon gets up and heads into the forge picking up a parcel and passing it to Fletcher "I was going to give this to you for your sixteenth but you'll need it much more now" Berdon told him,

"Oh, and take this" he says passing Fletcher a blade; it started like a normal sword, before curving like a waning moon reaching towards the tip, which coalesced in a flat blade "It will be a good blade for you, the unusual shape will confuse more experienced swordsmen, the curve allowing for easier parrying and the end working much like an axe to split shields"

"Thank you Berdon, for everything" Fletcher truly thanked his adoptive father "I love you Dad, I'll see you someday again" Fletcher says tears welling in his eyes "I'm proud of you, you may not be my son by birth but you are my son and I love you, Goodbye"

Fletcher felt he had gained something new, protection, a shield he could summon at will for three seconds or immense damage, before having to wait five seconds to recharge.

Fletcher began to leave town before [--QUEST–] there was text in his face, what did it mean by Quest?

PROSECUTION

He couldn't refuse helping Berdon after all he had done for him, plus not being arrested did sound pretty good. What was one more murder after the two he had committed. Fletcher began to slink his way towards Casper Cavell's house.

He slid in through a downstairs window before taking out a hunting dagger, he stalked through the house before finding Casper's room. He stood over his sleeping form, debating if he could do this, could he kill the man planning to doom his father, his town and himself. He quickly found he could kill this poor imitation of a man and slit Casper's throat.
