Once, the continent of Michelty was a prosperous, fertile land. Sharing the land with the dragons, the people lived in relative peace for many generations. But, the peace did not last long, as a sage named Auris created a device that could allow someone to cheat death; a magical hourglass named the Sands of Time.

Many desired for the Sands of Time, including the leaders of the kingdoms. They started waging wars, hoping to seize the device for their own. Ultimately, the Goddess of Time herself, Forann, interfered and put a stop to all the violence throughout the land. As a punishment for the mindless violence the people had committed, Forann cursed the land of Michelty to be barren and infertile.

Soon, Michelty became a continent covered in sands and deserts. Livelihood became much harder for the people as they had to struggle in order to survive. But, mankind is a tenacious bunch. Despite the difficulty, mankind adapted, and kingdoms started to prosper yet again.

As for the Sands of Time, the device that caused the wars in the first place, it was hidden somewhere in Michelty by the Goddess of Time herself. Nobody knows its exact whereabouts, and soon, its existence was forgotten.

...

You are a young Lord of Falbeze, a small nation in the sandy continent of Michelty.

What is your name?

[] Write-in (Give your Lord a name fitting for a Fire Emblem's protagonist)

You have been taught how to fight since you were young. It is a requirement for the future leader of your nation to be well-versed in the arts of combat, especially since you have to personally join your men into the battlefields.

What is your weapon of choice?

[] Sword: Has advantage over axe-wielders (Marth-type Lord).
[] Lance: Has advantage over sword-wielders (Ephraim-type Lord).
[] Axe: Has advantage over lance-wielders (Hector-type Lord).

Lords usually have some distinguished features that make them stand out in the crowd. Most Lords are known for their unusual hair color. While unusual hair color isn't exactly uncommon among the people, this feature is more prominent among the nobles. It is because the nobles are usually the descendants of the great warriors and heroes of the past.

What is the color of your hair?

[] Blue
[] Red
[] White
[] Black
[] Write-in

As a Lord, you have your most trusted advisor standing by your side.

[] A veteran and experienced Great Knight (Jagen/Oifey archetype)
[] A wise and intelligent Mage (Soren/Robin archetype)
[] A sneaky and street-smart Thief (Julian archetype)

Now, what is your gender? It's noted that not all Lords are strictly males.

[] Male
[] Female

Now, young Lord, prepare yourself for a life ahead of you. Together we fight, together we live.

This is an original Fire Emblem quest. Some mechanic are taken from the game itself, though modified so that it can be played as a quest. Choose your Lord wisely, good sirs and madams. Together we fight, together we live.

My idea is a bruiser warrior guy that smashes the hell out of enemies with his axe, but isn't much good with magic. Which is why he has a mage buddy :)

[X] Odysseus
[X] Axe: Has advantage over lance-wielders (Hector-type Lord).

And rolling for gender. (1 = female, 2 = male)
Cornix Argentus threw 1 2-faced dice. Reason: Gender Total: 1
1 1

Another thing; this quest is inspired by the classic titles of Fire Emblem, though several aspects from the newer ones (Awakening and Fates) will also be taken.

I think Luck asset is kind of interesting, even if it's not exactly optimal.

I also think purely warrior Lords + Mage buddy are somewhat overdone. I'd rather read about something different from the games we already have.

edit - vote voided after picking up 0 momentum

Why are you all voting for things we've all seen at least 10 times? :V I'm baffled just a little by how generic it all is.

There's a difference between classic and gratingly repetitious. You can respect the classics without mimicry or aping.

And you can try to actually try to advertise your plan as something worth voting for instead of bashing everyone else who doesn't agree with you.

Hell, most of us are likely voting for an axe hero because, other than Hector, it's never been done before. Don't insult people because we want to play something you don't.

@PrinceArjuna is it at all possible we could select Bow for our hero's loadout? And is the setting you are using contain shorter ranged bows of crossbows?

Playing Blazing Sword, and I can't believe I lost Lowen. Not a huge loss, but still... I lost a Cavalier. One less meatshield. :(

Yes, it is possible, depending on how we want to promote our Lord.

And about shorter-ranged bows and crossbows, maybe. The ones like ballista can also be put into consideration.
