Hey Everyone, welcome to FE:HW. This game will be set in Post Awakening, and uses WWII era tech. Since I hate long intros, have a gander at the rest of my opening post :D

Some General Rules:
  • Follow SV rules
  • My word as GM is the law
  • If you wish to appeal, do so in the OOC or discord
  • this will be a narrative game, though some elements of skill systems will come into play
  • Respect your fellow players
  • This is an entirely cooperative game. You may not join an enemy faction. Period.
  • Keep this game clean. Do not godmod, munchkin (too much), or cause me a headache in general with stuff you know you shouldn't be doing
  • Have fun. That's what this game is for!
  • Anything that I haven't explicitly stated here that is common sense is a rule. It just is an implied one :D

Scenario:

1000 years after the fall of Grima, the world is in chaos. Yillise, Jugdral, and Valentia struggle with Colonial Rebellions in the 4th continent of the world, located to their south. Meanwhile, on a hidden, undiscovered 5th continent, the ancient dragon Colombia stirs, ready to wage war on the world once more. With an army of Thralls and Loyal Manaketes, they prepare to invade the rest of the world, waiting for the "Perfect Moment"

Players play as a group of Manaketes who rebelled against Colombia, though they failed to accomplish anything of note besides escaping the continent of Anarchea (Now named Yilisse)
You will remember nothing, having been cursed to forget everything about the 5th Continent. The game starts with the group of manaketes setting themselves up as mercenaries

Alternatively, you may self insert. You will be absorbed into the Mercenary group the Rebellion creates in Yilisse. You must still be a manakete, and you will default to age 250

"You're a lucky one... Let me ask you something. If I shoot you now, what will happen to your plans?"

Kuranada is manakete that on the surface 'mostly' exhibits little outward emotion. She often responds with a sleepy if not coy tiredness to most interactions. That doesn't mean she's actually tired, rather she's bored at the lack of movement and purpose in these interactions. Even when on the 'job' she maintains a relaxed disposition and often remarks on how easily she can get a job done. There are moments when she starts to truly enjoy the carnage of the battlefield but those are reserved for very specific moments. These moments are not only mixed with something that makes her think of that missing part of her past but also extreme anger.

"Strong enough to kill you!"

Kuranada lives by a series of rules when she goes into battle
- Ensure quick dependable kills
- Ensure that there is proper communication
- Always press the attack on a retreating to destabilize them further
(I'm Assuming that our characters remember none of this)

Kuranada was never a manakete that explicitly cared about the ethical norms of her orders and actions. In her mind, there was her, by extension her superiors and comrades, and the enemy. However what she did care about was the notion of timing, objectivity, and proper movement. So when Colombia kept insisting on that 'Perfect Moment', Kuranada became more and more dissatisfied. There were plenty of perfect moments that could have been exploited for conquest...

After that she grew more and more dissatisfied until...

Kuranada is a mercenary that is up for completing any job that's presented to her and the outfit she's currently with. While most of her past is a mystery even to herself, she often completes her jobs with an overwhelming body count.

Off the battlefield, Oscar is a reserved man, approachable yet quiet. He never intended to become a soldier. Sometimes, the mask slips and you can almost see what he might have once wanted to be, but now, soldiering's all he knows. Its what he's good at. At the very least, he's free. Oscar is less a leader to his men, but the first among equals. His company is his family, and he wouldn't abandon them for the world.

He prefers his fights fast and quiet. Ideally, the enemy doesn't have time to figure out where he is before it's over. Guerrilla warfare: assassination, sabotage, lightning-fast raids, and extended deployments behind enemy lines are his bread and butter, but that doesn't mean Oscar isn't prepared to grab his rifle and leap into the fray, especially if the life of a friend is on the line.


History: Oscar did not rebel against Colombia for any ideological reasons whatsoever. No, it was all his father, a well-respected and well-connected military man, who first forced Oscar into the guard, then committed his family to rebellion. The man saw it as a means of acquainting his son with the true honor and glory of warfare. Soon, Captain Petturi was leading a portion of his father's forces to the slaughter.

They never stood a chance. As that grew more and more apparent to him, his family grew more and more devoted to their failed revolution. At last, Oscar cut his losses and deserted with what little remained of his command. He never learned what happened to them; it took everything in his power to survive his journey to the coast...

Personality: Usually the quiet, introverted type, but can get excitable (whether in a subdued way or not) regarding things I like. Tends to stay out of arguments, unless they affect me greatly. Can have a bit of a temper when sufficiently provoked, as well as a vindictive side. Likes visualizing things, imagining nice situations, and sometimes, I just want to lose myself in them. Personality: A personable, chatty guy who easily makes friends. Cadoc likes visiting new places, meeting interesting, new people and then stabbing the shit out of them. He got a real problem with stabbing people who aren't already in his social circle. May have something to do with the fact he doesn't remember how he wound up in the new place. Finding out just what he forgot is central to Cadoc's actions, especially with the only lead being photo of unknown woman he got on himself.

Cadoc was never quite convinced Colombia was fit to rule them, what with stalling for a whole thousand years and then keeping them back from going after the rest of the world. In his mind, the ancient dragon became either lazy and complacent or cowardly and overly cautious. He met people who held similar opinions and together, they were sure they could do something about it. To step out of the shadows and break the backs of the world, make them bow to manaketes.

He and his comrades hatched the plan to overthrow Colombia, and then...

Personality: People who have met Alex will tell you she's an honest, trustworthy person who's always willing to lend a hand. She's also charismatic, but it almost never is evident due to her shy nature. While she would be fantastic at leading troops if she put her heart in soul into it, her shyness gets in the way of her ever truly trying. Alex is also known for her kind nature, willing to help anyone who needs it, almost to a fault.

History: A member of one of the many rebellions against Colombia, this one done by an altruistic manakete who did not believe in their "Manifest Destiny" to be the overlords of the world. The leader was an elder dragon, one who remembered the degeneration manaketes suffered oh so long ago. Alex rallied to the dragon's cause, fighting fiercely with all her heart… And they lost. Ordered by her commander to make for the coast, and prepare the rest of the world for a massive invasion, Alex fled.

Immediately after reaching a ship on the coast of Colombia's domain, Alex could feel her memories slipping away. Unable to do anything about it, the young girl wept, almost giving up, until she finally found to will to board the ship and take the chance.

Alex Remembers nothing but treasures the picture of her in an unknown squad of soldiers, laughing around a campfire. She also holds a painting of an elder dragon. Finally, she carries on her a second dragonstone, though she has no idea who's it is.

Appearance:
Diana is an extremely beautiful woman. She has long wine purple hair and sharp crimson red eyes and wears a full-body outfit that highlights her curvaceous body, with metallic pads and protections over key vital parts of the body. She wears a black veil over her head and short cloak over her shoulders, connected by the shoulder pads.

Personality:
A leader filled to the brim with unswaying confidence. It is not arrogance, nor is it haughtiness. Diana simply conducts herself as she should as it is a straightforward fact. What fact? She does not remember but it feels completely natural to her. That mentality completely savoured the splendour of the world, having stood beside the one who reigned over the Dragonkin at the time before their impromptu rebellion. Diana seems to greatly appreciate nature and often finds it as a relief that the world is still beautiful as ever even after being covered by cities made by mortal hands. She is active and self-assured. Usually, she just loiters like a beautiful flower; but, once she gets on the move, she becomes a frightening active monster that doesn't wait, has no mercy and shows no self-restraint.

Diana never lets go of her self-image as an ideal soldier, even to her detriment. Whether preparing tea, engaging in battle, or procuring rations, Diana approaches all aspects of her life with grace and a serious attitude, even in situations where it is laughable or disquieting. To even improperly prepare tea is as worthy of reprimand as a rout on the battlefield. Yet the only one Diana holds to that standard is herself, and she will rarely openly hold it against others. This is not to say she tolerates a lax or lazy companion- merely that her disappointment is quiet, implied, and scathingly silent. But she is warm to those who try their best and understanding of circumstances beyond their control, forgiving them where she would never forgive herself for she should know better.

As one who greatly appreciates nature and sees it as their All-Mother, Diana also finds humans 'appealing'. But, because humans think of themselves as beings apart from nature due to their intelligence that can often lead to Diana looking down on them in turn.

History:
Diana, the younger sister of Columbia, the Imperial Queen. The two have not been close since the time that they were children. It was not always this way. When they were younger, the two of them were near inseparable. Just as the rest of Akkadia(5th Continent) was, Diana, idolized her older sister for the fountain of wisdom and beacon of wisdom that she was. She knew that she would one day be a wise and righteous Queen. Eventually, she became just that. She had also become many other things... When they were young, Columbia was a good-hearted girl. The type of upstanding figure that even adults and the elderly respected. But eventually, Diana's wonderful sister grew up into wise yet vain Queen.

None of this particularly offended Diana. The constant heaps of praise thrown at her by their people, and favouritism held towards her from their parents were both things she could easily tolerate but Columbia seemed to change ever more as they grew older. The accidental death of their parents did not help matters. When their first millennia had passed after the mysterious death of their parents. There had been confirmation of an approaching cataclysmic which forced them to hibernate deep into the earth seeking refuge from it. As powerful as they are, they cannot defy the might of the World.

The point at which her tolerance morphed into a grudge was when they finally awakened... It must have been intended, they had not been roused from sleep, enough that even local Dragons had no longer any memory of them. Columbia had been firm in retaking Akkadia, perhaps a bit too firm for Columbia did not tolerate insubordination, revolts, or any twitch of any sort of slight against her rightful rule. The last straw was when Columbia cold-bloodedly slaughtered one of their distant relatives who had been sleeping with them. Diana would seek a way to end this even after Columbia had unified Akkadia... It wasn't the end of her ambition for she looked at the world beyond it, beyond the original homeland of the Dragonkin where they hear tales of other lands from some of their brethren who had travelled there.

Diana would try to spare them Columbia's tyranny but it was only briefly directed toward her. Her attempts were brought to light along those of the others she had been working with. Columbia showed no mercy, not even to her sister, as she banished her away along with the others while sealing down their memories as well as most of their powers. Although, one can argue she showed 'mercy' since she did not ruthlessly kill her as she had done with their unfortunate distant relative.

That was mostly a rough draft I did when I was sleepy and didn't finish. I finished it up and made it a little better grammatically. Basically, the gist is I want Ryuji to remember less than even the other manakets. Even forgetting what a manakete is and that he is one.

The picture of the dragon is him in his other form.

The crown was a toy he brought with him, he used to play prince at home. You did say bring important items for your character.

Finally, i'll get on the Discord in about 4 hours? I'm on break and can't use my Discord account right now as i'm using the company account. I'll fix the Backstory there.

Sarcastic and sinful, Enax has always tried to live up to the noble mantle of his forebears-being a thorn in the ass of Dragonkind and Humankind and every other kind. Supremely confident with a strong streak of possessive greed, Enax is the ultimate mercenary-more akin to a Human than others of his kind. He courts little long term loyalty or friendship these days, and only counts a promise as a condition of being paid to do. This may have something to do with the fact that while Enax lies about practically everything, he can't actually break his word. This is a real, physical binding upon him.

On the night air he comes unannounced, and that is how he prefers to leave (usually being chased). Being unable to break his oaths had made most of his life a game in trying to test exactly how far he can go, and how he can finagle deception from the stone of truth. A trickster through and through, Enax secretly is also something of a nihilist, believing there is little of worth in the world that can't be made fun of, degraded, or brought down a peg. He bears little true desire for anyone or anything, believing the grandest jest of all is hope-for despite his failings, he was once far more optimistic. Enax has suffered a great deal in his life due to his nature and slowly been ground into his current, miserable state.

For such a prideful being he himself has a tender ego, and becomes exceedingly wrathful if insulted.

Enax would not have ordinarily become anything of a fighter by choice, but being forced to do so is remarkable for showing ones potential. Enax learned to fight with subterfuge, careful and canny. He's particularly fond of misdrection, illusion, overly elaborate traps and ambushes-as well as cheesy one liners to drive his allies insane. In battle he generally prefers to get up close, or let the others do the fighting for him while he insults their aim.

To explain him best, merely listen to one of the stories about him. Enax once planned a prank because a man stole his seat at a bar. Every morning, Enax would steal every stool in a mile radius of the man. For forty years. The man himself scarcely noticed and did not remember the original insult at all. He would only stop, because he truly fell in love with the mans daughter. On their wedding day however, he would promptly abandon the woman before vows were said, leaving a bar stool in his place on the altar.

Enax comes from a long line of Manakete rebels. They're not specifically rebelling against anything particular, but are heavily inclined to chaos and disorder. If something works, they break it. If something is broke, they'll fix it (if you pay them). Upsetting what is and what is assumed is their goal, and Enax is no different in this regard than his predecessors. He rebelled because it amused him to do so...and he thought they would probably win, and they probably deserved to win. Unfortunately the Gods have always had a sense of humor to match his. In any case, losing came as no surprise. Still-he was one of the last to abandon the cause. Enax fought bitterly and long, as hard as anyone, refusing to give up until his oath was fufilled...though all this was not entirely by his choice...

It should be noted that in some part of his distant Draconic past, Enax and his kind bound power (and resulting measures against degeneration) and their Dragonstones into their oaths in some fashion. This makes them unable to break a promise, without serious consequences. He does not know or care why, but considers it absolutely hilarious. As a side effect it does seem to allow him to handle his draconic form better than others of his kind. He's not sure if this is a good thing or not. Breaking the oath has a dire penalty and seems to result in an expanded rate of insanity...which in his kind, means they choose to go mad at some point. Usually when the prank is particularly good.

A pair of good stolen boots: Enax made an oath he'd never buy his own boots. The trick is he made the oath to himself.
A small cache of Emeralds: The green rocks are best. Enax refuses to spend these precious stones. The trick is half of them are fake, but all of them are precious. And one of them is his Dragonstone, but they all look alike to anyone else.
A "Dragonsaber": A ridiculous sword with embarrassing amount of gold-plate, made to look like a jet of fire coming from a Dragonsmouth. He is not always subtle. The trick is the weapon is quite lethal.
Cooking Kit: Enax is a passable chef and likes to whip up tasty treats in between battles. Unlike everything else in his life, his food is always perfect, and he would never trick anyone who partakes of his culinary skill. Right up until the day he decides otherwise.
