That's just, kind of rude on his part. I'd expect him to say it's not the time, but apologetically, and promise him that when the time came the plan would put him against Arjuna.
He comes off as a total dick. And regardless of what one thinks of him, he doesn't act that way at least. Or let him go, so long as he promises to retreat if the odds turn against him (in general) or he looks to be forced to use Vasavi Shakti.

Changed the interlude to the passage I think you meant, I admit I wasn't entirely too sure but I hoped it captures Shirou's character better.

The Red Faction rolled low on their initiative, add to the fact Karna is loyal to a fault, even if he doesn't recognize Kotomine as his true master he's still playing along until he can rescue his true master so he won't make any waves yet. That doesn't mean Karna likes this however, still I don't see Shirou ever allowing his only guaranteed(Atleast that's what he thinks) way to get rid of Arcueid in jeopardy, when he attacks it will be in full force at least if he can help it that is.

Yeah, I didn't write that particularly well I would like your opinion on the new response though, is it better or still not good?
Here's the tally I'll be ending the vote tomorrow probably. One thing I would like to note you can vote for both a Saber and a Caster.
You screwed the tally when you opened voting for them in separate posts.
I suggest redoing thr Saber vote AFTER closing the current votes. Everyone who voted a caster just wiped their Saber
No need to recast vote or change vote. Can open voting for more than a single post. Just need to configure the vote tally to count all the vote by disabling user-vote updating and Newest vote only.

"We'll recruit Arjuna, I know what it feels like to be used by Roa against your will and having someone that strong on our side will help us deal with that fishy priest later." Your servant strokes his chin in thought before nodding in agreement while staring at your hand.
"Master I think your forgetting something." Gilgamesh ignores your statement in favor of pointing at your hand, which was currently wielding Ea, you kind of forgot you had it. Seeing you had no use for the drill anymore you hand it back to Gilgamesh, he rapidly pulls it from your hand cradling it while whispering something that sounded suspiciously like "My precious." As he gingerly placed it through a golden portal safely securing the Noble Phantasm back in its original home the Gate of Babylon.
"Sound reasoning master, then let us begin, first press your prototype Solomon's Ring against these command seals." Gilgamesh speaks as if his earlier outburst had never happened, he moves the severed hand towards you, well you don't see any reason to bring it up so you oblige him, pressing your ring onto the command seals it takes a few minutes but you now have two black command seals on your right hand to show for your efforts.
"Good, now to use Rule Breaker on Arjuna, simply stab him with it. That should both break the command seal's influence and sever his contract with Roa." Stabbing him with a knife was supposed to help him? You could feel a sense of irony as you follow Gilgamesh's instructions, pulling out the dagger from your pocket while lightly stabbing Arjuna on his abdomen. The chains around Archer of black's mouth muffled his screams, making them tolerable.
"All that's left to do is to touch Arjuna with your ring, it will do that rest, but it will take a while." When Gilgamesh finished guiding you he pulled out the golden pool from before, oh was it so he could know what Roa was doing? Gilgamesh noticing your attention answered "While we can't chase Roa as of this moment, that doesn't mean we can't keep and eye on him Master. To let him surprise me so easily again is not acceptable, not when so many things are depending on us."
Again, there was an uncomfortable silence while you waited for Arjuna to become attuned or whatever it was to your new Command Seals. You do the only thing that feels natural in this situation try to strike a conversation with your servant "So… will it take this long to make a contract with the other servants?"
Gilgamesh doesn't look up from the golden pool, but he still responds to your question "It depends Master, if you can get the command seals correlating to the servant it wouldn't take longer than a few moments but if you don't well, you're already experiencing it firsthand." He was right, you've probably been pressing this dumb ring against Arjuna for a few minutes now, you could feel a bond there, but it was only the slightest trickle as of right now, it might even take an hour for it to be finished.
While your hand wouldn't get physically tired in its position that didn't mean you were any more patient than a normal person, in other words you were getting bored of holding your hand against the restrained archer for what seemed like a mind-numbingly long length of time. Just when your were beginning to regret ever saying you would contract Arjuna you felt it, a bond snapping into place a constant stream of energy being exchanged between you and the Indian archer, he was now your servant his contract with you firmly established in all but name.
Gilgamesh seemed to realize this as the golden chains restraining Arjuna let him loose, slipping back into the golden portals they emerged from. "You didn't have to keep me restrained after you used that knife Rule Breaker you know, it snapped me back to my senses on the first prick" Arjuna complained, he wasn't all too happy about being held in chains for nearly an hour it seemed, especially since he was already in his right state of mind again.
"Regardless I owe the two of you a debt, to think my former Master would do such a thing to me, it had never crossed my mind when I answered the Grail's call that I would be subjected to such a thing, forced to act in such a manner unbecoming of a hero. I would be honored to serve such a magnanimous Master in hunting down that depraved monster." It was hard for you to read Arjuna's expression over his humble and polite demeanor, but he seemed sincere in his apologies and intentions to help.
Speaking of apologies, you were wondering "Arjuna you seem like a completely different person, how did Roa make you act like that?" How Roa could turn what seemed like a polite gentleman into a sadistic maniac?
It wasn't Arjuna who answered you but Gilgamesh "Master, Roa used her Command Seal for one simple order, for Arjuna's hidden second personality to become the dominant one."

You thought about it for a second, that sounded suspiciously like what Roa did to you when he caused you to rampage, when you killed all the remaining True Ancestors you weren't sure what came over you but ever since then you've struggled to keep it suppressed.

You didn't mean to, but you spilt out your feelings and hardships to Arjuna, perhaps it was because you saw so many similarities in your situation with his, however it seems that the Indian hero didn't mind it. In fact, he looked at you, surprised he was gaping at you with wide eyes, before a hesitant smile appeared on his face; it was completely different from the sinister smirk that he was wore before "I see, to think that only I alone had to fight against such things, I was naïve, but do you still think I am a great hero after seeing that part of me? Isn't it shameful for a hero to have such a hidden evil residing within them?"
You shook your head at Arjuna "I think the fact that you're still a hero despite that, makes you an even more impressive one, it isn't something to be ashamed of, in fact I think it shows your strength, that you could be a still be great hero even with something like that always by your side." He trailed off, making you wonder if you said the wrong thing but it seems your worries were for naught since Arjuna gave you a wide and happy smile "I don't dislike that."
Arjuna's mood had rapidly improved after that conversation you didn't see it before, but he was tense like he was ready to fight or run at a moments notice, now though he was quite relaxed and had an amiable air around him, perhaps you had a way with words?

Although I can track Roa the identity of her servant's still elude me, I already have Roa's current location but it would be prudent to know who his servants are before we encounter her." Arjuna looked towards the Archer of red, giving Gilgamesh a sincere smile completely different from the menacing glare he was giving his follow servant just a few moments earlier, it was nice that they were getting along now you mused.
"Most certainly, while I do not know all of their Identities I do know a few, Saber of Black is Siegfried the dragon blooded a powerful and righteous knight who helps those in need, he is a formidable warrior who will not easily fall to Roa's depravities. Caster of Black however is a different story, he is a man who only cares for completing his final golem his masterpiece as he calls it, the man clearly has no scruples from what I understand and should nearly be finished creating it using his former master as the base. Lancer of Black isn't actually under Roa's command but the former leader of Yggdmillenia who escaped Darnic, he is a formidable opponent who goes by the name Vlad." Arjuna pauses here seeming to collect himself before continuing "As for the other two while I do not know their identities I do know what they look like if that is any help."

I'll admit it doesn't strike me as right that he would allow the situation to progress as it had if he was there but he's a random roll so I can't do much he feels a bit bad from a consistency stand point though.

A/N: Took me awhile to make this since I'm pretty tired for some reason oh well. I need to get the final mystery servants out of the way to start planning the rest of the story. Anyways the reason why Arc did so good with Arjuna was that she critted her diplomacy with a 96. Tell me your thoughts on the chapter and if I nailed or missed anything in particular.

So we need to choose our black servants wisely.

Going for Astolfo. Astolfo is well balance servant with his NP and easy sustain mana wise.
Ozymandias is a good choice and is one of strongest servant in Nasuverse. He is on par with Gilgamesh and Enkidu but unlike them he not mana friendly. All of his skills and NP cost a ton to support. While Arcueid had immense and could sustain all the servant that will be contracted to her, Ozymandias is literally a mana hog that is even worse than Karna. Contracted him will be good should we get the chance but it will also be a hard fight for Arcuied.
