Servant's needed their masters to support themselves at least that's what you learned from reading Archer's independent action skill, so it stands to reason that if you kill this boy, this monster of a man's probable master that he as the servant will be weakened until the mad man could no longer sustain himself.
It doesn't take longer than a second to close the distance between the two of you and tear the blank faced boy into ribbons. With that taken care of you rush towards Roa's location as quickly as possible, leaving the Berserker's incoherent screams behind.
You finally arrive at your destination and stare at a girl sitting atop a pile of corpses, this was definitely Roa's eighteenth incarnation. You enter hesitantly, thoroughly checking your surroundings, Roa was quite fond of traps after all, but after only seeing more of those weird albino dead apostles and some golems your stride quickens as you rip the minor obstacles in your way apart.
"Arcueid so you've come to kill me again have you? I'm afraid it won't nearly be as easy as before." Roa speaks to you with a smug edge to her voice "Archer, I want you to bring that woman to her knees, make her kneel to me!"
A man in brilliant white and blue garments appears besides Roa from thin air, seeming to exude a sinister air "With pleasure master." Roa, Fiore whatever you wanted to call her quickly left the room after that, Coward! Forget this Servant, Roa was your real target, you try to run past the servant.
Before you could even get to the halfway point, what seems to be a dozen blue lights fly towards you, they were impossible to avoid, you grit your teeth crossing your arms in front of you preparing for the inevitable. When all of the sudden Archer's arrows change course all on their own, you can feel the amulet on your neck vibrating, releasing a steady warmth. So that's how it is, you smirk it seems this trinket Gilgamesh gave you does work wonders.
You charge in without any further hesitation, intent on ripping Roa to shreds, but that reality collapses on itself when Archer intercedes himself between the two of you and grabs your right hand with his own while simultaneously jabbing you with his bow, easily throwing you to the side your momentum sending you crashing into the walls.
Archer gave a snort "I can't believe I was worried about my Master's so-called enemy for even a second, you are but a mere child flailing about in the dark, you lack skill and can't even be called a novice. Allow me to show you how a true warrior fights, how a Maharathi battles!"
That bastard how dare he mock you! You were going to tear him apart, well when you got your head out of the wall anyways. Just a little more… and there you turn around to face archer when you see it.
forty, seventy no what seems like nearly a hundred glowing arrows of light are streaming towards you, before you can even prepare for your own attack no less! You couldn't dodge in your position but again his arrows of light change their course midway flying away from you, this amulet you were given was awesome! Archer of Black frowns before flying away from you in a burst of flames.
"I know not what blessing protects you, but I shall break it, Agni Gandiva!" the servant shouts and suddenly a huge blast that looked more like a missile than an arrow rocketed towards you, it was too fast and too large to avoid, already having incinerated the top half of the castle. Right when the blast was about to touch you, the amulet on your chest started to burn like it was on fire and suddenly the blue streak that was about to crash into you dissipated into nothing, however you could feel the amulet crumble to pieces under your clothes. This was bad you couldn't really dodge Archer's attacks without it and another of those missiles could vaporize you. But he didn't know that, you smirk giving off an air of confidence to throw your opponent off his game.
Archer gives you a furious frown "So not even that works, you must be quite blessed, then I shall break you with my own two fists!" A cascade of blue flames is all the warning you have before Archer is within your guard landing dozens of punches, you furiously try to swipe at him, just do anything that could just hit this bastard! Yet Archer merely avoids your attacks like water does oil, slipping between them with an ease that seems preternatural.
Archer was toying with you, never before has some one done this to you. However even after taking hundreds of Archer's flaming blows they only tickle for a moment, they're not doing much honestly. It seems archer realizes this as he once more disappears leaving behind his signature blue flames, he reappears from the other side of the broken and battered hall.
"I see now why my master was so worried, your blessings are truly powerful, but they have also made you weak, you've become reliant on them, they're why you're so clumsy and unskilled, because you have never needed skill before because of them! Well then what to do… So that is the only option, to defeat you I shall use an even greater blessing! Holy Ground Exp…" Whatever that was you didn't like the sound of it, luckily you were faster than whatever he was trying to do, you could stop it.
In an instant you were near archer before he blurs from your sight again, leaving behind blue flames that lightly burn your skin. Archer looks at you with a frown the sinister smirk was finally off his damn face, still the two of you were at a standstill it seemed as if nothing would change in your fight. At least that's what your opponent believed, you had one other option, your Marble Phantasm. You couldn't help but give a vicious grin at that thought, that stupid smug Archer was going down.
Just as you were about to turn the battle in your favor, a red figure slammed into you, the red behemoth from before roars in your face as he uses his halberd to slice off your leg. He was noticeably slower and weaker than before, so you push him off of you with ease sending him sliding across the hall, the only reason he succeeded was that he got a surprise attack off. Your leg was already as good as new in an instant, so you jump towards the Berserker slamming him through the floor to the ground, a mighty boom resounds across the castle, you can see the Berserker already starting to slowly fade into fragments of light.
"Pashupata!" You hear Archer's shout from above, Damn, that Berserker was just a distraction you realized, you quickly look towards your other opponent, wait why was he flying? And what was up with that blue ball that rose to the sky, well it doesn't matter you coil your muscles preparing to jump at him when you see it, a blue meteor shower so concentrated it looked almost like a solid object headed straight for you. You could feel it's power from even here, if that hit, there wouldn't be a single atom left of you, how long would it take you to revive a day, five days, a month, never? You couldn't afford to lose here!
Your mind raced as you tried to find a solution, there was no way to dodge something so massive and widespread even at your top speed, even your Marble Phantasm could do nothing against something of this magnitude and you didn't have enough time to summon enough of your Castle to block it. You tensed preparing for the seemingly inevitable impact until you remembered you had one thing… 'I'll gift you my greatest weapon, Ea.' you remember Gilgamesh's words. Hastily you pull the conical drill from within your dress' pocket.
'Master to actualize Ea all you need is a connection to my energy and to pump our energy into Ea to awaken it.' You perfectly remember what Gilgamesh said to do. The glowing drill started to spin, releasing red currents of air. You could feel it's power flowing slowly gradually increasing its pace, as if it was a colossal beast slowly awakening. You gasp as you feel an amount of power that's nearly half of what your Marble Phantasm would cost greedily consumed by Ea as it started to rapidly speed up, casting red waves of light all around you.
"I don't know what you're trying to pull but it won't work against the might of Shiva!" Archer called from above as the meteor shower was almost upon you. Ignoring his words, you try to recall the last thing Gilgamesh told you, how to unleash all this power.
'The final step is to call out Enuma Elish to unleash Ea's power.' Yes, that was it! "Enuma Elish!" you swung the drill towards the blue meteor shower and it unleashed something that you could only describe as the 'truth'. Red and blue collided, the force of their clash was enough to destroy the remains of the entire Yggdmillenia castle, the ground collapsed from under you, if you were any ordinary human standing near this pressure would've liquified your organs, but still you kept a firm grip on Ea as it continued to unleash devastation.
It was hard to tell when it happened but slowly the red winds consumed the blue crash, and when that happened an extremely powerful explosion occurred, what remained of the once sturdy fortress was turned into rubble, scattering everywhere. There you stood a lone figure amongst the ashes of what used to be the Black faction's stronghold, while Archer slowly descended to the ground, his face pinched as he glared at you.
"How… How! How could such a fool best me? I am Arjuna, son of Indra, and one of the greatest warriors of my time! Never before have I been so humiliated, to, to lose to someone less skilled than a Rathi! This is absolutely unforgivable, you shall pay, If I cannot kill you then I shall kill everyone! Everyone you hold dear!" Archer was screaming at you with such vitriol that if you cared about anything he said in the slightest, you might have been cowed, but honestly to you it seemed like the whining of a bad loser.
Still you weren't in a good position Archer seemed no worse for wear and Ea ate up enough of your mana that you couldn't activate your Marble Phantasm and bring forth Millennium Castle Brunestud, which as much as you hated to admit it against this insufferable guy, was needed for you to take him down.
"Enkidu bind him." Golden chains wrapped around Arjuna in the middle of his rant they even cover his mouth muffling the bile that was spewing forth from the Archer's lips. You recognized this, it was Gilgamesh slowly looking towards the source of his voice you see nothing until suddenly Gilgamesh appears, the odd hat from earlier in his hand. You look back towards Roa's Archer of Black he seemed completely helpless, a sadistic grin forms on your face, stupid man thinks he can call you a fool, dares to mock you. Well we'll see who's laughing when your through with him. "Master before you do anything hasty, you should hear me out."
This again? You sigh in exasperation but listen all the same, Gilgamesh's advice has always been sound, so you put off making Arjuna a new face "That man Arjuna is under the influence of a command seal, if we help free him from it he'll be extremely grateful, making him a loyal and powerful servant." You can sense a but coming…
"However, we don't have Fiore's command seals, and we would at the very least need black command seals to command a servant of black, so forging a bond between you two would be impossible except…" Gilgamesh trails off here looking at you with disappointment, what? You didn't do anything wrong! While you were mentally defending yourself, your Archer merely sighs at you "Master, you missed command seals when they were right in front of you."
Gilgamesh brings out a hand from… somewhere and upon it are two black command seals, wait that hand looked familiar, ah they were that boy's….
"Ehehe, oops I mean uhhh I was caught up in the heat of the moment and I couldn't waste any time, uhm getting to Roa was more important, Yeah that's it!" Hastily you defended your actions, you knew you made a mistake though.
"Master if you claimed these seals you could've just taken Berserker of Black's chains instead of killing him, well it is fortuitous in this situation because these seals aren't connected to a Servant or Master, making them the next best thing to Roa's own command seals for claiming Archer of Black." Oh? Your head perked back up as you puffed up your chest with pride giving Gilgamesh a smug reply. "I meant to do that, it was my plan all along!"
Gilgamesh gives you a dubious glance, he clearly doesn't believe you. To be on the other side of that for once, ouch. "Regardless of whether or not you meant to do this master, this isn't a clear-cut issue just yet." You stare at him in confusion, another problem?
"How could there be a problem we got all the things we need right?" your servant shakes his head at your response before answering your question "These command seals are not ideal, so it will take quite a bit of time to attune Arjuna to these command seals and to do that it will require both of us to be there, you to attune yourself as his master and I to hold him down with Enkidu while you do so."
"Which means..." you ask leadingly, Gilgamesh gives you another disappointed look, you wilt under his attention, why do you feel this way? Before you can realize an answer to your odd feelings, your archer distracts you with his reply "Which means master, that contracting Arjuna will give Roa plenty of time to regroup, we surprised him now and he's having some difficulties with his other servants. While I don't believe he can turn them around in a day let alone weeks I wouldn't bet on it since he's already surprised me once before. So, Master I leave it in your hands, either Kill Archer and immediately chase after Roa giving him less time to prepare or form a contract with Arjuna, giving Roa more time to plan and plot again, but gain a powerful ally that can help us win the coming battles"
You, you're starting to get a migraine from all these difficult choices being forced on you one after the other, aghhh Damn it, fine you've decided you'll…
What does Arcueid do?
[] Kill Archer, he can't possibly be a good person if he was helping Roa, He also insulted you that can't be forgiven; Besides tracking Roa down is more important than wasting your time with this pompous person.
[] Contract Arjuna, you know what it feels like to be manipulated by Roa; Besides helping Archer would ruin Roa's day and gaining another powerful ally to aid you in Roa's destruction is always welcome.
Who is Saber of Black?
[] A man with a glowing scar on his chest, he dons silver and black armor.
[] A blue clad knight, her blonde hair held in a severe bun.
[] A feminine man with matching red hair and eyes, he wears a golden gauntlet.
[] A boy with white stripes among his black locks, he's fitted in white and blue armor.
A/N: Took a bit longer than expected, anyways pursuing Berserker wasn't an awful choice it was actually the route to obtain Lu Bu as your servant but since he's been defeated that's no longer an option. Looks like Berserker of Black is the first servant to die in the Great Holy Grail War, oh well. Also votes for Berserker of Red are closed in case anyone was wondering, Atalanta won.
Anyways I would like your opinions on how well I wrote my first ever action scene and how I can improve it.
