Fuck, I'll switch my vote to Medusa just to keep myself from having to deal with another episode of Jack Family Drama TV Show, if nobody else ends up voting for Altera. Even Medusa, despite having the personality and emotions of a brick, is better than the alternative.

Remind me what the Sword Origin bullets do please?
 
I'd definitely argue that Medusa has more personality than a brick! Sure she's fairly stoic, and I'd put her down as having a fairly dry sense of humor, but she's not boring in any sense.

Besides, having a stoic or deadpan character in story would give a lot more potential for comedy later on.

if they work like i think they do once you shoot someone with them the bullet starts to sword the people that got hit from the inside.

You guys know that Jackie got so bad in Apocrypha because both of her masters encouraged her behavior in that aspect, right?As long as she has a master that is actually a good person, she would be odd and occasionally do some messed up - but ultimately harmless - shit, but other than that she'll be perfectly fine.

Of course, she's not my first pick - even if I love her - but I would rather have her than Altera - even if I also love her - since I actually do want Fate!Shirou to summon Saber still. Hell, If Hassan of Serenity was easily available, I would definitely go with her - because I also love her - since she would mesh with us much better compared to Jackie, whose one-hit kill is super situational where Serenity could touch you and you'd be dead.

That, and she also needs a lot of love. We should love her guys.

...You know what, I'll take those chances.

But why in the world would Shirou ever think that summoning Jack the Ripper is a good idea?

Why would he think summoning Medusa is a good idea? Hell, there are a lot of servants that are really bad ideas to summon, even Hassan of Serenity.

But Heroic Spirits are Heroic Spirits. So they will all be useful in some kind of way, I imagine.

Notice that both of those are options that I'm against.

Medusa is a good choice in terms of power and personality, but not someone I see him ever trying to summon.

The choices that are all 3 of powerful, compatible personality, and someone Shirou might actually try to summon don't seem to have many votes.......

Technically speaking, you can summon anyone as long as there is a version of them on the throne of heroes. And since the throne of Heroes is beyond time and any single world as long as someone has reached the throne at any point in forever in any reality they are viable summons. Scathach almost certainly qualifies even if only a version of her that Lancer successfully killed like she wanted.
