"And that should be all of it." Sighing, Shirou Emiya finished cleaning up the archery dojo. Sitting down next to his bag he relaxed slightly. Taking out his phone he looked at the time.

Displayed on the screen was the date and time of 2/2, 7:30 pm.

Taking a glance over he looked at his bag and the contents within. There inside his bag was a hard-covered book with the front covered in what appeared to be gold circuits and two gems in the upper corners, colored light blue. Picking it up he examined it again. He could only remember finding that book on his floor a few days ago, after waking up on his shed's floor. Holding it in his hand, his eyes were once again drawn to the welt on his hand.

"Still bleeding huh." He muttered as he turned away and placed the book back to his bag. Picking up his bag he swung it onto his shoulder as he stepped out the door. Closing it behind him he continued onwards.

"Ahhh, I bet Sakura and Fuji-nee already ate without me. They probably already went home." He muttered as he walked. As he walked however, he heard a faint sound. Turning around he followed the sound to the school's courtyard, hearing the noise intensify as he did. Turning around the wall, the source of the noise came into sight.

There, standing in the field was a blue haired man dressed in what appeared to be a blue jumpsuit wielding a long red spear. Screeching through the air it seemed to rain blows upon the other combatant.

Dressed in black body amour with what appeared to be a red coat, the white-haired man wielded two swords of opposing colors as he parried the blows that struck at him.

Seeing the battle between two clearly supernatural beings, Shirou Emiya stopped in his tracks.

"What the…?" He muttered. Staring at the battle he shivered as the man dressed in blue turned his red eyes at him.

Seeing this this and the intend in the man's eyes, Shirou turned around and ran into the school intend on losing the man.

After 5 minutes of hard running, he paused on the 2nd second floor, gasping for breath.

"Did I lose him?" Shirou questioned as he looked around.

"Sorry kid, but you have to try harder than that. You sure ran far in this short period of time."

Hearing the voice come from behind him, Shirou Emiya turned around to come face to face with the blue haired man.

Spinning his lance around the man trust it forward in a straight line. Trying to block it, Shirou swung his bag around.

It was to no avail as it simply pierced through the material undaunted and continued to its target.

"Gah." Shirou coughed out. Looking down he could see the red lance piecing straight through him.

Pulling the lance out the man started to walk away, leaving Shirou to slid down the wall into a resting position, blood leaving a streak on it.

With his ears he could just make out the man's voice as he passed the corner. "Well you were just unlucky kid."

Looking down he could see the blood leaving his body, a lot less than expected. Almost as if it destroyed his heart and clotted the blood as it passed.

Losing consciousness, his eyes slowly closed. Hearing a voice slowly come into his range of hearing his heart continued its last splutters.

'This is how someone dies.' Shirou Emiya couldn't help but think.

However just by chance his fingers landed on the book that spilled out of his bag. Unnoticed by anyone there, the two gems grew brighter and the circuitry almost seemed to come alive.

And so, Shirou Emiya closed his eyes.

And opened them once more.

Feeling a soft nudge on his arm, he snapped open his eyes as he shot up, his hand grasping at his chest as he breathed heavily.

Startled the owner of the hand quickly drew it back as they spoke.

"Senpai? Are you alright?" Came the soft voice of Sakura Matou as she questioned him.

Looking around he could see the inside of his shed. A stove disassembled on the floor.

Seeing his arm, he looked down at his clothes, seeing himself dressed in overalls.

"Just a dream?" he muttered. Looking back, he could see Sakura's concerned face.

"I'm fine Sakura, just a nightmare." He responded to her concern.

Giving him a look, she let it go and stood up. "Alright Senpai. Breakfast is almost finished and Fujimura-sensei will be here soon. I'll go finish up and you can go get ready. It wouldn't do to be like this when she arrives."

"Right." Shirou muttered still dazed.

Stepping to the door, she gave him one more last look of concern as she stepped out.

Seeing her leave, Shirou raised his shirt and looked at his chest.

"Not even a scar…." He said as he examined his chest. 'A dream after all?'

Bringing his shirt down, a glint caught his eye. There on the floor laid the book he found in that position almost three days ago from his perspective, now with its cover glowing in a slight golden light.

Bringing up his phone he looked at its time and date, showing the date of 1/31 6:04 am.

"3 days ago." Picking up the book, he looked at it and his hand. With the welt still bleeding which from what he remembered shouldn't be there, he turned his attention From his point of view he found it next to himself after waking up on this very floor. There was nothing special about it that Shirou could discover even when using magic.

However, it seemed clearly different with it seemingly glowing.

"Trace on." He said as he looked at it and used structural grasp.

In a surprise compared to the last time he used structural grasp on it, he got much more information from it than last.

Its name was the White Chronicle and it gave its wielder the ability to leap through time to events that hold a personal significance. And it was three days older than it should be.

"You must be joking." Shirou said as he looked at the book in disbelief. Bringing his hand down he only looked at the book as…

[X] He brought his hand down to the floor against a hidden pentacle craved into the floor. The red on his hand glowing brighter as it made contact.

[X] He exited the shed to prepare for the day and to meet up with Sakura.

[X] Travel to a node
-[X] Which one?

You are Shirou Emiya, the wielder of the White Chronicle. Can you use its abilities to reach the golden ending? Or will you fall against your enemies?

Character Sheet and Node Map

Magic Circuits: Inactivated, 1 unstable cannibalized nerve

Magic Known: Structural Grasp, Reinforcement, Projection

Possessions: White Chronicle

If a node is in bold it cannot be traveled to. Basically you died or a bad ending.

As the amount of nodes grows, I'll color code them for different timelines.

1) 1/31
  • Awakening
  • 1/31 On your way home from School
2) 2/1
  • Arriving at School
  • Tohsaka at Night
3) 2/2
  • Waking Up and Practice
  • Cleaning the Dojo
  • Your First Death

Damn, it's been years since I played Historia.
So, I got to ask what happens if we do this scenario:

Shirou discovers how to do those 'permanent circuits' like in 'Nerve Damage' on 2/1 and then dies on 2/2; and reawakens back on 1/31.
Does Shirou keep the circuit he made permanent or does he have to restart from the beginning?

Huh, save state. Awesome.

Wonder what would happen if we jumped to the time with the bar and befriended rin and sakura.

Like in Historia, you have your own personal timeline. You will keep anything that happens to your body if you go back in time. The first time is a exception as the White Chronicle was just activated.

However if you do die while there are consequences you will be fully healed in peak depending on the node you choose to resurrect in. For example if Shirou dies and chooses a timelime where his circuits are fully awakened then they will be activated.

However if you choose a timeline where they are not activated to resurrect in, you will not have them activated. Basically the peak health of that timeline's Shirou, not your personal timeline if that makes sense.

Also Shirou is a pretty bad magnus and even if you do try to create those nerve circuits, chances are you won't get them.

Also for 2/2, it is not a bolded node.

Hope this helps.

Okay.
Though in the case of Archer's arm, what would happen?

Okay.
Second question, will the effects of Time Travel cause different Servants to be summoned or are they going to stay the same regardless of the choices?

By 1/31 all the servants have been summoned except Saber and Archer who will be summoned later tonight, due to the limitation on how much you go back the servants will all be the same. There are options of course, for example you have the option of creating a timeline where you don't summon Saber opening the possibility of another master if you can swing it and get training from alternate timelines you do summon and other options.

Its your choice in the end. I want to give a lot of options and possibilities with alternate timelines and the final goal.

Emiya won't be able to make nearly as good a use of it as Stocke did.

Nonsense. Shirou's most iconic moments were possible because he level grinded like no tomorrow, so having infinite time would be a godsend for him.

Not to mention that you could easily break the plot over your knee with even a bit of foresight; this especially holds true for the UBW and HF routes.

[X] He exited the shed to prepare for the day and to meet up with Sakura.

I'm inclined to agree with the bandwagon here that taking it slow might be a decent idea for the time being.

I'll close the voting in a few hours, since it's still the beginning and not that complicated a update will also follow after that in a couple of hours.

But it looks like taking it slow wins.

EDIT: Sorry about this but after thinking it over, this would be better as a story instead as a quest. Mainly there are two options, really short updates involving decisions about node travel and all that and the other option where I write bigger updates but lower the choices where it might not even be a quest.

Hmm...Well the way RH worked in the grand scheme of things is that there were a bunch of nodes you reached as the game progressed, right? So I think the best idea would be shorter updates unless there's a big thing that happens at a particular node. For example, a node that involves a talk with Sakura would be a shorter update, but one that has the fight against Archer would be much longer.

Does that seem like a good idea? I feel like any other option would take away from the high concept of "Using RH mechanics to mess with F/SN's story."

True but lets take day 1/31 for a example, on this day there are 3 main things that can occur.

1) The summoning of saber if you choose it creating a whole new timeline
2) Forming a alliance with Rin early on creating another timeline, this can also be mixed with the saber summoning or just create a alliance with without summoning
3) The meeting with Illya where you have the option of stopping her and all that.

An example that could be done later on is traveling to 2/2, being saved by Rin, take the jewel with some magic residue still on it an then bring it back to 1/31 to show proof of time travel.

The fact is I can write a small update fairly easily for this day mainly focusing on Shirou's feelings of deja vu and make a divergence point when he meets Illya and forms the connection between servants and his close call with death. As he doesn't know Tohsaka is a magnus at this point that locks out the allience until later.

While you can then talk to Illya and try to get information, in the end I'll most likely have to offer the point of node travel after every update to make it seem more like Historia and options.

While I could do the time travel thing with Rin mentioned slightly above, that takes away a lot of choice as I would basically be moving through several nodes and without choice from everyone else.

So honestly it seems better to be written as a story then as a quest, as smaller updates would just be micromanagement which isn't exactly fun for me and would take away part of the feeling I guess.

Not to mention that since there is a white chronicle there must be a black chronicle so there is that influence on the timeline and traveling to nodes based on that.

Not exactly mutually exclusive. You don't need to vote on everything, or even just take votes as suggestions(see Subsumption)

Why aren't more people voting?

Because the quest is new, and the mechanics sound complucated, if you are not familiar with RH.

Not particularly.

The book let's you save scum, unless something is outright granted to your soul (archer's arm) new stuff doesn't transfer back with you.
~~~~~~~
I wonder if we can get any really interesting loops. Like Shirou somehow summoning Saber into his body, thus becoming Demiservant Saber.
Nice idea, but it wont work with Arhuria, since she is not a proper spirit.
It would work with an another Saber, or with EMIYA, It would let him to absorb his skills instantly.
