Dodge is the top tier defensive ability, has charms that let you enter stealth as a reflexive response to an opponents attack and is necessary for Disengaging from melee so we can gain the distance we need to launch Shinobi doom magic attacks.

Way more than just picking locks, but its charms do work on magical locks, so should give us a shot at disarming various Ninjutsu seals and alarms we might run into. Moreover ultimate mastery of disguise and deceit are available here, a Solar skilled in larceny can look like anyone and anything given a moments warning. All alongside more exotic powers like stealing the mystical powers of your opponents.

An ability that never gets enough love, hopeful that we can find some fun uses for it. Ultimate scribe powers here. I can see us infiltrating an enemy commanders tent, duplicating a copy of their orders in seconds. Create unparalleled forgeries to sow chaos amongst our enemies. Copy secret shinobi art scrolls without anyone being the wiser. I also figure it might gel well with Sealing Arts, Paper Bombs and other kinds of Shinobi Magic that we can hope to pick up from Orochimaru.

Kakashi blinks once in surprise, but the statement sounds genuine. Something about the way Orochimaru-sama's head tilts, a flash of emotion in his eyes, a slight flutter of his left index finger. All together, those signs tell the story of a man speaking the truth. Has his ability to observe things increased similarly to his taijutsu? What had happened? What had that four-armed man, a name flickers in the bonfire of his soul, what had Sol Invictus done to him? Was this change any different from a Bloodline Ability? Did it matter? None of them were questions Kakashi could answer except the last one. Whatever it was, it had made him better, and that was enough.
Observation, intuition, and decision all happen within the span of moments and Kakashi nods acceptance to the offer, "I would like that, Orochimaru-sama."
"Call me sensei," the Sannin replies, smiling the way a snake would smile. It's meant to be welcoming, Kakashi thinks, but the hair on the back of his neck raises slightly. "Or Orochimaru-sensei if you prefer."
"Sensei," Kakashi murmurs the word, tasting how it sounds in his mouth, wondering why the Sannin would make such an offer. That question bounces around in his head, and despite his desire not to know the real truth, to pretend that he had earned the attention of a Sannin through his own merits, he reluctantly decides to ask.
"Is it not enough that you remind me of myself when I was younger?" the smile this time is definitely mocking, but somehow more genuine. "In truth, I find myself bored. Bored with missions, and bored with my research. Sarutobi-sensei had always claimed that our team had kept him young... interested in life. Perhaps I finally decided to test that claim."
His father had done that, deliberately changing habits and mannerism every year or so. To keep the mind agile, Kashi-kun. The nickname doesn't ring with his Kakashi's distaste at thinking it as it had when his father…
"What will happen now, sensei?" Kakashi asks, cutting off that line of thought. His father had begun training him in the fundamentals of being a shinobi, but, "will you train me before I graduate?"
"When I have time. This afternoon perhaps," sensei replies, sipping elegantly at a porcelain tea cup, "your first goal, of course, will be to graduate as soon as possible and with as high a performance as possible"

Since Kakashi's supernal ability is ninjutsu, he treats his essence as 5 for the purposes of this roll. Thus when mastering a ninjutsu Kakashi has: Chakra Control (1) + Ninjutsu (3) + Essence (5) = 9 dice
Sensei spends a few more minutes drinking tea before speaking again, "there are also certain things. Forms and papers that must be signed now that Sakumo-san has died. Things that you should also complete as quickly as you can, if only to stay out of Konoha's foster care system."
Dark eyes study Kakashi and his sensei smiles that same mocking smile, "on the other hand, I suppose you could hide Sakumo-san's death. It may take months for the truth to come out, and at that point you will be a genin, and legally an adult."

Mastering all 3 Jutsu in one afternoon seems like a suitably mythic feat for our Twilight Shinobi. I wonder if Kakashi has enough awareness at this point to use Essence to boost his training rolls? Using the basic excellency for our supernal ability strikes me as good first time for that to happen, and we can maybe have the IC realization about how Anima functions in a fairly controlled setting.
