On July 1st, 2024, on the outskirts of every single country's capital, a kilometer wide portal opens up.
These portals lead to an Earth where in 2003, a deadly virus escaped from a lab in the united kingdom and resulted in the death of 95.8% of humanity in a matter of 10 months. The 95.8% death rate is from combination of the virus itself and the collapse of civilization.
What will each nation do with this Earth? How will science react to this new Earth? 21 years of decay and lack of maintenance will certainly make it harder to reinhabit.
Although there left some small civilization left on this earth in some Places like
.Siberia
.Alaska
.patagonia and the falklands islands
.hokkaido and sakhalin islands
.Busan
.Texas and california
.the great lakes
.new zealand
.sonora
.Yucatán
.and the great alpines republic in Austria and parts of italy and switzerland
Virus is long extinct by 2024 so OTL humans can't get it.
