I love the fact that ENFERR is apparently finding Edgar a much more preferable person to work with than Clancy. To the point that he's actively keeping his presence and assistance hidden from her.

The rule of the Louisiana wasteland is entropy. Our machines rust, our bunkers drown and our crops choke on poisoned water. The greatest defence we have against entropy is simplicity, the less parts there are to break down, the less likely the whole structure comes crashing down. By using education we can develop survival skills among the people of Louisiana that can be passed down via word of mouth, by developing atomicrops and our genetic engineering capacity we're giving them resources that can be found in the natural world, by investing in the post office we're forging connections between disparate communities. I'm hoping this plan is going to play into the reality of our region as well as Edgar's own personal strengths in genetic engineering.

Also throwing Daisy in there because I wanna collect all the possible protags.

Ok I really do not want to do androids, we lack the infrastructure, the moral dilemma, and I do not think they will be a good fit for flooded Louisiana. Now we can do horses, the post office, or a me energy. We can eventually create sea horses to ride, continue having communication with the post office, or start developing energy infrastructure with acme.

I kinda want to do Superdog Initiative for the canine genetic template, in the hopes of splicing them together with plants somehow. Otherwise I also agree with being completely uninterested in pursuing androids.

Small notice: the bit in the AN about ya'll having an unspent prototype dice was apparently incorrect on review and the result of me being stupid, dice pool was correct last turn. Mea culpa there.

Something people really need to remember is that we don't really have much dice at the moment and we already have our hands full with several projects as is. Meaning we may not actually be able to do most of said projects at the moment. Especially if we are selling dice that would have gone to said projects.
I am tempted for this choice. ACME was also a long shot but we somehow manage to make it work in Part 1, somewhat.
Been brought up but it is a completely different situation than with ACME. ACME literally does and sells pretty much everything and we were working with an entire branch of a government for the entire nation. Garrahan is fighting a completely losing battle against automation.

We have numerous other companies that are more practical like Daisytech and Alvicorp to work with.

Completely agree with this, not only that but Edgar is specced specifically for genetic works. There is also the serious problem of pushing automation too hard. Remember what happened the last quest when people pushed Tapp too hard to the point it backfired to the point that it ended the benefits we would gotten from them several turns early and would have cost us Clancy's DoP job if she pulled something like that again?

Basically seems like it's something that is likely to lead to a lot more problems that it's not worth it in my opinion.

Sorry if this is obvious and I'm going insane, but where have the prototype and programming dice come from? I can't see them in the informational or the updates.

Updated my plan and added another than includes ACME power as well as one that supports our buddy ENFER.

Ah, crap, I didn't look at peoples votes.

To be clear, everyone, you don't have the prototype or programming dice, that was (part of) the error I have since corrected that I mentioned earlier.

I'm really hyped for getting to work with AlviCorp. Robots are one of the coolest things in Fallout to me, and getting to do some of that just gets me really excited. Even the vanilla Mr. Handys would probably be a big deal to Louisiana, since they can just float above the tainted waters, and having disposable robots to do the dangerous work out in the wild means a lot more people are liable to survive. A shame that we don't actually have those Programming/Prototype dice, but we can start to aim for those dice and do more mechanical projects (hopefully including the Power Armor Workshop once we get another Sponsorship).

Actually, we already have Mr. Handys. Or, well, a region specific model, the Mr. Boudreaux, which can actually fish without needing any other modifications. Not really sure how we can increase their numbers across the Region, or even other regions, though.

Also, the Labortrons are finally finished, so it's possible that we may get a new project in the future to build a Labortron factory in Louisiana, similar to the Power Armor Workshop option from before. Though, even if we don't get a project like that, they should still help out once the bombs drop.

Actually feels like focusing on robots doesn't make sense since Edgar is specifically a biology specialist. Feels like focusing on robots would be taking away from the biology stuff when people voted for the bio specialty specifically to focus on them.

Atomicrops is something I feel is Kinda vital to Ensure people will live in Louisiana postwar at all, and is Honestly one of the things I kinda wanted we focused in the Previous game more on

The month was december. The date was the 17th. You were in Las Vegas. And you were about to enter the mouth of hell and begin the descent into pandaemonia. You pulled into a parking spot as you put the bottle back where it went and looking into the rearview mirror to check your grooming, deciding you were at least passably well put together. Opening the door, you stepped out under the sweltering sun, licking your lips. Already, you felt the dull ache rising. As you looked across the vast parking lot at your destination.

Um...we just finished Quarter 3 of 2074. How are we suddenly in December? Is this event a Quarter early than it should be?

I think we should get Alvicorp simply because it is net positive on dice: we trade one dice for another dice and have enough to get 1 funding.

Alvicorp does look neat, and the Fallout robots are really interesting, so I find it hard to say no to the prospect of fucking around with them more. As for other partnerships...idk, Daisycorp and the postal service, maybe? Atomicrops and the BioOptimizer also look pretty solid. Don't really have any thoughts on the national initiatives, they all look decent enough.

I don't mind getting something like Alvicorp since it does come with two benefits, one dice and ENFERR.

I just don't think we should actually focus on robotics much for several reasons. Main ones being that Edgar is specced for bio and how that means we benefit a lot more from genetic related stuff. Especially since those projects are actually far more immediately beneficial to do stuff like working plants to give clean water and absorb/live in radiation. Also because as mentioned our region doesn't really have the infrastructure to benefit as much from robotic things while seems like they would benefit from biological stuff far more since bio stuff doesn't need nearly as much infrastructure to maintain.

Also am against a heavy robotics focus because many people voting for bio at the beginning over other specialties like robotics and engineering did so literally because we wanted a more bio focus. Especially considering that robotics and engineering get constantly picked all the time in most quests while bio specialties are incredibly rare as far as I remember.

Seriously, it's going to be annoying if when the choice is between something like working on super gorilla's or more robots that people push for robots despite us literally picking Edgar's specialty specifically for those exact kind of projects.

Daisy Technological Enterprises [DaisyTech]: DaisyTech was another acquisition of the DoP, responsible for development of the technology behind government laser tower technology and data cores, the former owner, Nancy Steinbeck, had only recently re-acquired the company, and was looking to expand. Nancy had shown you a few projects in development, and while their efficacy might be questionable, a number showed a fair amount of promise. 0/25, unlock DaisyTech Partnership, granting a variety of [Prototype] tagged projects, unlocking DaisyTech Sponsorships, and granting +1 [Prototype] Dice.
I want to work with daisytech since we are friends with them and she's a good person

Remember the timescale we're working on. In thirty years, every one of those Mr Handys will be breaking down from the humidity, whereas gene-edited gorilla servants will be able to carry on for generations to come!
