The pawn had been useful, even if it's efforts where fruitless. It had known from the moment it was sealed that even when the pawn freed it then any attempts to consume this world would be pointless. The three Knight's souls were to strong and combined with their reincarnations….

It's just as well that it had its back up plan to set into motion. Using the bare minimum energy needed to keep the Knight's distracted with a physical construct its mind quickly scattered to the winds to find a suitable puppet, it only had until the knights defeated its physical body to pull this off.

A sharp intelligent mind, but weak willed enough to easily be manipulated into doing it's bidding…Yes, this one.

It settled around the mind of a young engineer in the Kiba Corp labs, young, meek but frighteningly intelligent, perfect. With a deft twist of its metaphysical coils the young human was wrenched from the fabric of this realm of reality and pulled into its being. Though not to be consumed like so many before them.

A fraction of its being worked on delicately pulling the new puppets soul from its body, just enough to bind the humans soul to it so that it could not later disobey. The rest of its mind probed against the universal barrier separating this reality from all others around it, it would take almost all of the energy it had stored up over the millennia, but the reward outweighed the risks.

Pulling the puppet as deep into its self as it dared it summoned up all of the soul and life energy within and focused on a single point, with a sharp push and snap of the fabric of reality trying and failing to keep it contained, the Leviathan was freed from its home universe.

The Great Serpent twisted in the atmosphere of nothingness for a moment taking in its universe watching as the body it constructed was destroyed several the final tie that could keep it bound. Internally it seethed in rage at not only being bested a second time, but to being reduced to fleeing its own reality. Though it soon calmed, this was only a temporary retreat till its plan could come to fruition.

With that in mind the Leviathan pulled away from it's come reality dimly aware of the thin strand of universe that still tied it to the Monster world, all the better for its plans. The serpent coiled around a thin patch of reality in another universe probing it, this would use up the energy it had left and (Rather irritatingly) this reality also seemed to have its own hero's and knights. Though while powerful they didn't seem to be a match for the Knights of its home reality.

Its mind made up the Leviathan pushed once more against the walls of a universe, though it was far easier than before, it was made for keeping universes in not for keeping invaders out. The Leviathan's body pushed through and descended on this universes Earth, its energy waning with every moment.

It deposited its puppet gently into an empty and safe feeling cave system calling up the last of its energy to both anchor the thread of reality connecting it to the Monster world to this reality and to forcefully create a pendent of Orichalcum to better communicate with its puppet.

Exhausted by its efforts the Leviathan pushed its self using its remaining energy to scorer the oceans for a safe resting place…It paused when it brushed against a strange mechanical beast submerged in the sands, a quick probing reassured the Leviathan that while alive the creature had no will of its own. Delighted at the prize the Leviathan seized upon its soul consuming it to regain a little lost energy and slivered in to fill the void inside the beast.

Off the coast of Angel Grove a low mournful howl of metal could be heard before it was silenced the long dormant Dragon Zords eyes glowing a sickly green before fading, it's time would come soon enough….

Adrien was confused and oddly calm when he awoke, at first the young engineer though he'd merely worked his self to exhaustion and dropped to the lab floor, it wasn't that unusual when he or others were absorbed in a project or had a looming deadline.

Proof towards that was him still having the Duel Gazer prototype clasped in his hands (Finished and ready for testing). Though the sudden relocation from Kiba Corp labs to a strange cave proved otherwise. The young man quickly checked that his Duel Disk was alright.

"…Fuck." He groaned, there were only six cards still in the Disk, and when he checked his belt clip that was also empty. Doing his best to ignore the panic that came from only having a handful of cards he got up brushing cave dust off of his coat and pants.

He seemed to be deep in a cave system the area lit with glowing fungi and a thin shaft of light coming from a crack in the ceiling. "…How on earth did I get here?" He muttered to his self wondering which of the two exits to take. He blinked a glint of green drawing his eyes to a stalagmite. A small pendent made of what looked like jade dangled on a silver chain the gemstone catching the light.

Curious Adrien picked up the necklace rolling the pendent between his fingers, he peered into the gloom of the tunnel closest to the stalagmite. "…Hello? Is anyone there?" His own echo was his only answer.

He stared at the necklace for a moment before shrugging and putting it on slipping the cold gem under his shirt to keep it safe. Either it was left here for him by who ever brought him here, or judging by the undisturbed dust on the cave floor had been left here long enough ago that who ever owned it had long forgotten it.

It is a gift for you.

Adrian froze up at the cold voice that echoed in his mind. Idiot, idiot, idiot! He grabbed at the chain trying to rip it off, how could he have forgotten his training, never touch or put on a strange artefact you couldn't iden-

Calm.

His grip on the necklace slackened and racing heart slowed back to normal levels his adrenaline fading an eerie sense of calm flooding his senses.

Good, can't have you panicking and ruining my plans for you servant.

"S-servant? W-where am I who are you?!"

You're deep inside a cave system I found close to a Panorama city. As for who, I am your god and master the Great Leviathan. You shall obey me and in return I will spare your life and grant you power beyond anything you could have thought.

"I-I don't want power! Or to serve you!"

Pity for you, your soul is already bound to mine irreversibly, either obey me or be consumed.

Adrien swallowed a whimper "….I guess I don't have much of a choice in the matter….Better make the best of it what exactly is this 'Power' your promising me?"

Pull a card from what remains of your deck, a monster card preferably.

He frowned but complied pulling the first card from his Duel Disk, the effect monster Archaeopteryx.

Perfect, weak enough for you to summon, focus on the card.

Adrien blinked putting two and two together "….Oh you are shitting me, actually SUMMONING Duel monsters?! I don't know if that's the awesome-est think I've ever heard or the stup-" He yelped clutching his head "Taking it back taking it back your not stupid!" He sighed focusing on the card in his hand.

Internally he could feel…Something, a hot feeling crawling from the centre of his chest and running down his arm. He winced trying to keep focus through the painful sensation.

As you use this power it will get easier on your body.

Adrien nodded distractedly glaring at the now faintly glowing card. A caw and sharp nip to the ear made him drop it. On his shoulder claws digging into his lab jacket was Archaeopteryx, smaller than the holograms normally displayed but unmistakeably the effect monster.

"Oh wow you are beautiful…" Adrien offered his hand to perch on, Archaeopteryx gave him a shrewd look with i's ruby red eyes, before puffing up its chest and hopping onto his hand. He grinned petting its fine blue feathers. "I'm gonna call you Arch, less of a mouthful."

It is a monster, a tool, a weapon not a pet.

Adrien shrugged letting Arch get back on his shoulder "Ok we have the power part of this deal what do I have to do to serve you?"

Head out the left tunnel, and work on summoning another monster, a stronger one you'll need it once you reach Panorama City…

*Rises out of a jewled Dumpster* AHH A NEW FORUM?! TIME TO POST FANFICTION!

....

Ok not really new but new to me, Hi XD I'm GarnettFoxy. I've been on SB for a while and this is my first time creeping over to SV. Seeing as there's a pretty active looking fanfiction scene over here I thought I'd post my two current works here as well.

Yes two, one of which is more advanced along in it's plot then the other but I'm still pretty happy with both and their both on completly different subjects that go in different directions then the other.

Here's hoping that you guys enjoy this story as much as I loved writing it.
...
P.S Little challenge, guess which Ranger Team Adrien's going to run into first XD

What? Every power rangers villain needs their signature supply of endless mooks. :p Then use Detonate.

...I officially love you XD (Sorry for little confusion with the rating, new to SV and rating system, safe to say I both like it and find it hilarious)

Sadly poor Adrien has to go with Quality over Quantity with his monsters, both because only got six of them (One of them has now become his pet limiting him to five) and he doesn't have any Spells.

.....Well any spells yeeeeeeet.....

Well you are in Angel Grove. And the Green Dragon Zord was underneath the water. So could be Mighty Morphin;Unlikely, could be Zeo; competition with the Machine Empire, could be Turbo; Eh hoping Not Only thing I enjoyed about Turbo was the Movie. As far as I remember those were the only ranger team based in Angel Grove.

Course the other option is that it has been a good couple of years since the Dragon Zord was last used. So Dino Thunder comes to mind. With Dr. Tommy Oliver.

And I just read the last couple of words in the chapter again. And googled the Name of the city. So Samurai or Super Samurai. That is the question.
So the Leviathan is physically in Angel Grove for the moment and the Servant is in Japan somewhere just outside Panorama City.

And we have a winner, yes Adrien is in Panorama City and is going to first face off against the Samurai Rangers. First because sooner or later in the story he's going to end up fighting every Ranger.

It had taken an hour with Arch leading him along (Adrien got so sucked into trying to summon another monster that if it wasn't for the little dinosaur he'd have either ran into walls or gone down the wrong tunnel) but finally they reached the entrance to the cave. Adrien winced at the bright mid day sun that burned his eyes after so long in the dark but had to admire the view.

They were part way up a good sized mountain, a small forest spread out before him and beyond that what he had to assume was Panorama city. Arch whistled and launched off Adrien's shoulder spiralling up on an updraft cawing in delight. "Glad you're enjoying yourself." He grumbled leaning against the new third member of their party.

Lesser Dragon rumbled and lightly nudged him with a claw, "I'm fine just tired." He wasn't exaggerating, while only a star level above Arch the dragon was much stronger and had (if he had to guess) drained almost all of the internal energy that he had been given to summon monsters with leaving Adrien feeling weak and tired.

"…Hey you still haven't told me who you are, or what I have to do to serve you." Adrien mused out loud.

Who I am is meaningless, I am your master.

"A name would still be nice."

I am the Leviathan, your God mortal. Adrien winced at that flash of pain in his head.

"Got it got, you're my…Master…"

Good, the monsters you summoned know what to do, and by the look of it your….Pet has located what you need.

Looking up Adrien saw that Arch was circling a small part of the forest, he and Lesser Dragon shared a look the crocodilian creature cocking its head. "...Mind giving me a lift?" it rumbled and crouched offering its back "Thanks buddy!" Adrien climbs on careful of the creatures spines. When the draconic beast felt he was holding on tight it pitched it's self forward half falling half scrambling over the rocky mountainside.

Adrien screamed clinging onto Lesser Dragon desperately, the monster seemed unconcerned with the panicking human calmly skidding over the rocks. They landed with a heavy thud Lesser Dragon turning to check the stunned human was still on his back.

It snorted with laughter seeing the death grip Adrien had on it's back and looked up at the sky to confirm where Arch was circling. With a dark purr Lesser Dragon chased after the dinosaur eyes glowing green as the Leviathan instructed it on how to carry out it's duty.

Lesser Dragon skidded to a halt in front of a small one person tent Adrien blinking blurry holding his stomach.

"I am so glad I haven't eaten in the past twenty four hours…" He grumbled slipping off the dragons back legs shaking under him. Arch fluttered down landing on his shoulder with a concerned coo. "I'm fine I'm fine…" He sighed rubbing the dinosaurs head. He froze up as the zip to the tent was sharply pulled open a young woman peering out at him.

The pair of them stared at each other in shock and surprise. That was till Lesser Dragon growled rearing up to it's full height.

"N-N-NIGHLOK!" She screamed flinging herself back from the tent entrance as if that would do anything to protect her. Adrien blinked feeling awkward kneeling to peer in.

"Uhrm Miss? I have no idea what a 'Nighlok' is but I can assure you Lesser Dragon and Arch aren't that, their monst-" He yelped as a shoe was thrown at him.

"LIKE THAT MAKES IT BETTER TRATOR!" Lesser Dragon more than a little agitated at the woman attacking his master shoved Adrien out the way and reached in grabbing her.

"H-hey! Careful!" Adrien yelped as she was dragged out of her tent kicking and screaming "Don't hurt her!" The dragon snorted holding the woman off the ground.

Take her soul and life energy.

Adrien's eyes widened "W-what?! No! No I'm not-I'm not a killer!" At that the woman started desperately kicking at Lesser Dragons side and clawing at his paw trying to get free.

Do it, else I will have Lesser Dragon do it and I will make it unceasingly painful for her. Chose, kill her painlessly or let her suffer eternal agony.

Adrien bit his lip looking into the woman's eyes, she shook her head tears running down her cheeks "No, no, no please god no…"

"…W-what's your name?"

"…S-Suzan…Suzan Green."

Well?

"How?" Adrien asked hanging his head.

Remove your necklace and hold the pendent in the palm of your hand, she will go into a trance and feel nothing. Then simply reach for her heart, I will do the rest.

Heart thumping in his ears Adrien slipped off the necklace the chunk of Oricalcum numbing his palm from how cold it felt. He raised his hand watching as Suzan's eyes glazed over.

"….I'm sorry, I'm so sorry…"

0o0o0o

Arch cooed sympathetically as Adrien crouched at the side of a stream scooping up water to try and wash away the taste of bile in his mouth. After seeing Suzan's limp dead body and knowing he'd done it…He'd ended up throwing up what little remained of his last meal.

What made it worse was that he could feel it, her life energy thrumming inside him waiting to be used. He didn't feel tired anymore, though he doubted the sick twisting in his stomach was going away any time soon.

The first is the hardest, it'll get easier from here, especially with your monsters to do the work sending the souls to me to consume and the energy back to you.

Adrien froze up "N-no, you said it'd cause them pa-"

I lied, you need to get over your empathy towards them, they are cattle they don't matter.

Adrien rubbed at his burning eyes "….So Lesser Dragon could have done it and the result would be the same."

Yes, I could choose to put her soul through unending torment now I have it, though that would be a wast of energy. But otherwise it's a painless death, unless you chose to get creative with it, or the Monsters are forced to injure the human.

Adrien bit back a whimper. "God…Why me? Why did it have to be me…?" Arch chirped and hopped onto his lap snuggling against him. Adrien sighed stroking his feathers stomach still churning.

He reluctantly got up cradling the little dinosaur in one arm trying not to look at Lesser Dragon's muddy claws or the covered over hole he was standing by.

"…I ah…I guess we can't let this stuff go to waste." Adrien mused awkwardly rubbing his neck as he looked over the small camp site. "I'm a murderer and a thief now…" he tried to ignore the sick feeling he had pulling out all of Suzan's things from the tent.

The clothes where discarded apart from a few shirts that looked to be borrowed from a boyfriend. All the food and other survival supply's going into a large bag. Working together Arch and Lesser Dragon where able to clumsily take down the tent and where stuffing it haphazardly into it's own bag. Adrien's mouth twitched up in a smile till he came to Suzan's purse, wincing a little he reluctantly opened it up and took the money in case he needed it.

He slipped the money into his pocket, along with her id, a reminder to his self of what he was now.

"Can I be done?" He asked rhetorically wincing when he felt a flare of pain.

Done? We have barely started.

"J-just for today!...I want to curl up in the cave and die." He flinched at the Leviathan's echoing laughter.

Die? Not yet…Fine, you may retire, set up a camp for yourself. But the Dragon once it's returned you will go on and hunt any other souls in the area. I hunger.

"Sure…What ever you say." Lesser Dragon rumbled crouching down so Adrien could climb on, He slung the bag and tent over one of his spines and climbed on "…Please go slower." He whimpered Lesser Dragon snorting in a way that sounded worryingly like a laugh.

0o0o0o

True to the Leviathan's words the moment Lesser Dragon had dropped him off in the cave he rushed off heading back towards the forest, though rather worryingly his heading would lead him straight into the city if he kept going.

Trying to put that out of his mind Adrien spent the next hour fighting with the tent while Arch laughed at him, though thankfully at the end of a hour he finally had it up and fed up with the little monster had sent him off to get fire wood. He dug out the sleeping bag and lay on top of it closing his eyes wishing he could sleep. Unfortunately the foreign feeling of energy thrumming under his skin kept him from it.

He started going through the bag just for something to do sorting out what needed to be eaten soon and what could wait. He yelped dropping a bag of jerky he'd been mulling over clutching his chest as the energy inside him seemed to intensify before slowly receding back.

"W-What the-?"

Ahh good, Lesser Dragon found some prey, and they managed to transfer the life energy back to you without my aid. Good less babysitting I have to do for you….

Adrien rubbed at his eyes "…Lesser Dragon just killed someone…"

What else did you expect it to do? Rest I need you in good condition against this universes protectors.

Adrien frowned but didn't question it, he gave up on trying to sort the bag and just lay down closing his eyes and wishing the day would end. Though any attempts to sleep where thwarted by surges that kept coming from Lesser dragon as it claimed more victims. Three more and one massive one that had Adrien's heart hammering in his chest that had to have been two people being killed at the same time.

He finally managed to start dozing when it happened. It felt like his heart was grasped by a clawed hand and drug out of his chest then suddenly slammed back into body leaving Adrien howling in pain entire body burning and aching.

"W-what the-" The Leviathan's presence filled his head making Adrien shut up. After a moment the creature snarled and shoved a mental image into the forefront of his mind.

He was growling in delight claws scraping against the concrete of a drainage tunnel trying to reach the cowering human inside.

"Hey Lizard Lips!" He looked up cocking his head at the brightly colored figures, at first he thought they might be fellow monsters summoned by his master, but a taste of the air left him more confused. They were humans, very, very powerful humans.

More then a little intimidated he abandoned his prey turning tail and fleeing.

"Hey it's getting away get it!" Panicked he didn't realize where he was going till he found his self trapped against a sheer cliff. While he could scale it, it would take time he didn't have to make claw holds for his self.

"There you are Nighlok!" He snarled flaring up his scales, Nighlok was what the human that Master killed called him, what ever it meant he didn't like the term.

Having little choice he launched his self at the weakest looking of the six slashing the Yellow Warrior across the chest.

"EMILY!" The Green Warrior rushed to her side with the Pink as the Blue, Red and Gold surrounded him weapons between them and him so his claws could do nothing. He ground his teeth wishing he was a True Dragon and able to flame them.

"Is she ok?!" Gold called over his shoulder Green and Pink helping the injured Yellow to her feet, He purred seeing that his claws had torn at her strange armor, though he was disappointed at the lack of blood.

"I'm fine Antonio!"

"Focus Antonio!" Blue snapped slashing at him, He snarled and blocked with his claws grunting as he was pushed back.

Distracted he shrieked with pain as two more blades where thrust into his back by the other two. He broke off the stand off with Blue and scrambled to try and escape up the cliff. He only got a few feet up before his world burned.

Adrien gasped for breath as he was finally jerked out of the vision.

They are your enemy's, the hero's of this world.

Adrien groaned lying back head pounding "What was that….?"

You can perceive what your summoned monsters do, that was just me testing that it worked.

"Oh thank you." Adrien muttered sarcastically flinching at the lash of pain "Ow ow Sorry! Sorry I'm…Sure this will be useful in figuring out how to fight them…." He rubbed his head wishing that Suzan had thought to pack and bring painkillers. "I'm trapped in another universe and stuck playing the role of a villain…" Arch chirped and snuggled against him Adrien's lips twitching in a smile petting him.

"Ya…Lest I got you buddy."

"What the hell am I doing with my life…?" Adrien sighed staring morosely into the water, unable to get back to sleep with all of the life energy humming in his veins and the burning memories of Lesser Dragon's death in his head. He'd chosen to summon another monster to burn off some of the energy and travel to the city under the cover of the dark early morning.

The Gilasaurus he summoned was friendly enough and didn't mind being ridden on, though it was weaker then Lesser Dragon had been so rather than letting it go off on its own he'd given it strict instructions. Stay in the forest out of sight and only take on a lone human if it must.

Far as he could tell it'd listened to him, he hadn't felt the transfer of power or the pain of its death yet. Didn't mean he felt much better about it or his entire situation. In less than a day he'd lost everything. His family, friends, and his job everything ripped away at the whim of some giant snake thing that wanted him to harvest souls for it.

He sighed pulling the Duel Gazer out of his pocket wincing, the glass had cracked from being in there during three bumpy rides, nothing else looked out of place but what did it matter? By the looks of things Duel Monsters didn't exist here so he had a highly advanced hunk of junk in his hands.

He looked over the edge of the pier contemplating letting it drop and possibly following in after it.

"I wouldn't Amigo." He yelped and jumped as a Latino man plonked his self-down next to him baiting a hook.

"….E-excuse me?" The man offered a grin.

"I wouldn't do it, coast guards riding by soon so they'll fish you out." Adrien blinked as he cast his line letting the reel click as it unwound.

"…Then why are yo-"

"The boat wakes up the fish who are hungry." He shrugged offering a hand "Antonio." Adrien blinked and hesitantly shook it.

"Adrien."

"Your name starts with an A to? We should find an Adam and Alex and start an A-Team boy band!" Adrien blinked baffled at his cheery demeanour and joke.

"I guess…"

"So my new Amigo, what brought you down here?" Adrien shrugged gazing out at the water eyes drawn to the shiny gold bobber.

"….I have lost everything." He finally sighed "Don't even have a roof over my head anymore, not really. Living in the forest out of a tent." Antonio winced taking a hand off his pole to pat his shoulder.

"Ouch, that's rough that little gadget have anything to do with it?" Adrien looked down at the Duel Gazer and slipped it back into his pocket.

"Naw, something I was working on before, a virtual reality….thing. can't tell much else I was in a really hush hush department and I'm not sure I could explain it if I tried." Antonio waved it off.

"No worries Amigo I understand. Ya gotta keep something close to your chest. You eaten lately?" On que Adrien's stomach growled.

"…Had a little Jerky…."

"That's not gonna hold you over. I got a in with a cart owner around here, help me de-scale and gut the fish I catch I'll cook you a nice fish breakfast."

"That's…." Adrien smiled. "That's really kind of you Antonio."

"Hey you need a little help, what's wrong in that?" They lapsed into a companionable silence with only the gentle lapping of the tide and distant calls of seabirds. For the first time since coming here Adrien finally let his self relax and put the thoughts of what he had to do out of his mind. Though a guilty thought gnawed on him, no matter how much he liked Antonio the Leviathan was going to consume him….

0o0o

It was rather late in the afternoon when he and Antonio parted ways, they had talked rather aimlessly though it was informative. By telling Antonio how new he was to this city he was able to get a laundry list of places that sold clothes, food and other necessity's cheap and the names of some fishermen who'd happily let him help with their catches for a couple of bucks.

And he finally got a rundown of what a Nighlock was and who the strange suited people who killed Lesser Dragon was. According to Antonio Nighlock where inhuman demons who came from another plane that wanted to flood the world with toxic water created by human tears.

Hey he was serving a soul eating snake he couldn't really judge.

And the people who killed Lesser Dragon thinking he was one of the Nighlock? The Samurai Power Rangers.

This lead into a rather long history lesson (And impromptu fishing lesson as Antonio apparently hyped to fanboy about them gave him the rod so that his hands where free to animate what he was saying) about both the Samurai and Power Rangers in general. Teens and young adults given either tech or magic that made them incredible fighters so they can battle evil and monsters.

Adrien internally whimpered at the thought of fighting around a hundred Power Rangers in several different teams. Not to mention the local team of Rangers, had a life time of training behind them, and generations of Ranger's before them to refine weapons and techniques. He was really questioning the Leviathans wisdom in dropping him off here of all places, rather than somewhere without a local Ranger team.

He was also keenly aware he was down to three cards he hadn't summoned, or even dare look at. If he was lucky all three where monsters, but what the hell was he meant to do with just four or five monsters against teams of specially trained fighters. He sighed the deck holders on his belt feeling heavy (His Duel Disk was back at the cave, he wasn't in any condition to be duelling anyone though by the looks of it there wouldn't be anyone to duel as he'd seen no sign of anything Duel Monsters related).

He bit his lip glancing around for anyone nearby who would hear him before finally giving in "I ah…M-Master? I have a question?" He shivered at the uncomfortable feeling running down his spine, like he was a little mouse who'd made the mistake of squeaking in a sleeping lion's ear, and the lion was now contemplating if he was worth the effort to eat.

What is it my servant?

He gulped "I uhrm…W-Well I only have three monsters left, and if Lesser Dragon could be beaten so easily by these Rangers I'm going to struggle to get anything done."

You will have another Lesser Dragon soon. Adrien blinked confused, We are still connected to the Monster Realm, in a few days the card will establish a new bond with a new Lesser Dragon. Not the same creature as it's dead but still useful.

"Ok….But that doesn't change the problem I have with only having three more monsters left."

No it does not…Fine, I was saving telling you till you had proven your worth but you may need this ability sooner then I'd like. Some humans have particularly powerful souls, these souls can take the form of what was once called Ka. The Ka takes the form and ability's of monsters from the card game you love so much. By removing the soul of a human who has a Ka you can then transform the soul into that monster.

Adrien sighed heavily "not only am I killing people but turning them into monsters…"

The monsters created from humans still retain memory's and personality. Just….Modified a little to be loyal and obey you.

"…Why should I trust you, you've already lied to me once." He winced as his head was filled harsh echoing laughing.

That's up to you. I deceive you only when it will serve me better then telling the truth. What I need is souls and life force, you are my servant for gathering it and will serve your purpose better with good tool's at your disposal.

Adrien sighed "…One last question, t-then I'll stop bugging you."

Good, speak.

"….Antonio….Is his soul strong enough that if I was forced t-?"

His soul is strong enough to have a Ka yes. And make no mistake servant the only humans I'll tolerate you not feeding me are those who become monsters.

"…Understood….Master…" Adrien sighed as the oppressive feeling of the Leviathan in his mind faded back into the background "…I just made friends with a guy and I'm contemplating turning him into a monster…My life's a fucking mess."

"Then allow me to mess it up farther!" Adrien yelped as he was grabbed by both arms shell shocked as the strange creatures (who didn't have eyes and whose mouth seemed to take up the entirety of their faces). He dimly realized that they were Moogers and that he was staring down a laughing Nighlock.

Ironically the demon was serpentine in nature, though fused with a lashing scorpion tail and killer looking claws.

"…let me guess your names a pun relating to poison, or biting….or snakes." The Nighloc hissed.

"Oh come now human, Fangtom only wants to share some…Toxic love." He purred.

"….Even if I swung that way the fangs are kind of off putting." Adrien said flatly pulling against the Moogers wondering if he could mentally call for Gilasaurus to come save him "…And one of the Villains from Ninjago is called Fangtom your stealing the name."

"Nin-what go?" the Nighloc blinked (How was beyond Adrien as neither snakes nor scorpions HAD eyelids) "Whatever, not like it matter, my poison will leave you in such misery that the Sanzu river will break its banks!" The stinger tail rose up and Adrien flinched closing his eyes.

"BARRACUDA BLADE!" The Nighloc screamed in pain as its tail was struck between the chitin plates, both Fangtom and Adrien staring as the tip held on by only a stubborn strand of viscera.

"You…You…YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT RANGER!" The Mooger's dropped Adrien who took the initiative to get the hell out of there as the Gold Ranger and Nighloc traded blows. Unfortonatly the Mooger's also took notice of their fleeing prey.

Adrien cursed running down an ally throwing boxes and trash can lids at the monsters in a feeble attempt to scare or force them off.

"Crap crap crap Where's Gilasaurus?!"

In the forest where you left it, it'd never reach you in time, summon another monster.

"So soon?! God damn it I don't want to waste it on a bunch of lackys!" Adrien kicked over a trashcan sending one Mooger flying back though the other was advancing, and Adrien was at a dead end.

Unless you want Gilasaurus to come and retrieve your remains, which would be a setback as I'd lose you AND possibly your cards. You have to.

Adrien grit his teeth backed up against the wall, the Moogers where approaching almost leisurely, they knew he was trapped. His hand went to the deck case on his belt reluctantly opening it.

A flash of gold made him froze as the Gold Ranger slashed through one Mooger and stood between him and the demon.

"You ok?!" the Gold Ranger called over his shoulder Adrien nodding slowly eye's narrowing with suspicion. He knew he'd heard his voice before, but something seemed to be digging at him, trying to force him away from that line of thinking and forget about it.

Apparently the Leviathan didn't take kindly to something trying to manipulate its toy. As the Gold Ranger dispatched the last Mooger the Serpent gave whatever the nagging feeling was the mental equivalent of a bitch slap.

Humf, pitiful. Now that the Morphing Grid's leaving you alone, no your senses aren't lying to you. If you'd have payed attention to Lesser Dragon's death vision you'd have recognized his voice sooner.

Adrien tried his best to ignore the smug feeling the Leviathan was broadcasting and sick feeling in the pit of his stomach. Antonio was his friend but also his enemy, and had played a part in killing Lesser Dragon, not to mention would aid in killing any other monster he summoned.

What I said before remains true, his soul is strong enough to support a Ka, and becoming a monster would be a good penance for killing your ally's don't you say? Though it would be best to weaken him, or at least catch him out of morph before you try it.

"Humf and Blue still keeps trying to make out I ain't cut out for this." Antonio chuckled sheifing his blade. "They didn't hurt you or anything?" He asked. Adrien shook his head.

"N-no I'm fine…Kinda shook up but fine…" He croaked picking his words carefully, he didn't want Antonio to figure him out.

"Alright, be careful I gotta make a sweep to make sure none of them got away. Take care of yourself." Antonio patted his shoulder and Adrien could almost see the happy grin on his face as he sped away.

"…I've been here for maybe forty-eight hours tops and my life just keeps getting more and more complicated. What did I do to deserve this?" Adrien sighed making his way to the forest before frowning "…He was pretty damn quick with the Nighlok he said it takes the whole team and they have a second giant form."

He tried to shake it off as the houses thinned out and leaves crunched under foot, he could feel Gilasaurus's gaze on him from deeper into the trees. "How'd things go for you boy?" The Dinosaur purred emerging from the shadows and rubbed against his shoulder, Adrien winced head aching a little as flashes of images where pushed into his mind.

There was a small family camping out here, a school yard that was only a thin fence from the forest, countless houses that lead out into the woods.

So many targets, so many souls.

Gilasaurus wanted to hunt, Adrien shuddered feeling the expectant eye of the Leviathan on his back.

"…Get me back home t-then…The elderly couples you saw, go for them no one will really think twice about it as long as you clean up and don't damage them." The dinosaur purred squatting so that Adrien could get on his back.

As they rode back Adrien couldn't help the twisted sick feeling in his stomach, and the pleased smugness the godly being was radiating.

"You will learn to enjoy this as much as your servants, Servant."

"….God I hope not…"

so...do the souls cease to exist when they are eaten? Or do they give him energy then go to the afterlife/get stored inside him, or is it like, each soul is a single piece of coal that never runs out, it can produce energy forever, but in the end, if you have one bit of coal, you only get the energy of one piece of coal, sure its infinite, but its not that much energy being produced at once, the more coal (souls) you have, the more energy is produced?
also, why did you pick the name Adrian?
whenever i heard that i think of the Agrest one... and i don't think your version is a magical catboy...

The third one.
I just thought it was a good name, and when I looked up the meaning it means Black or Dark One which I thought was fitting as Adrien was destiened to become a villain....Agrest?...Never heard of them and when I google I'm directed to gooseberrys...
