Quiet.

A monitor flickers on inside the cold desolate room, faintly illuminating the keyboard beneath it, and the dust coated camera above. The only sounds were the beeping of machines turning on and whirring to life as their fans sputter like a drowning man choking for air.

It's so quiet.

A single recording is pulled from the machine's data banks, the rest had degraded along with the server they were stored on. Not that this recording was saved from it, colored static overtaking most of the video, the scant few moments the video increased in clarity the visuals were blurred reducing the figures that had been in front of you unrecognizable. By some miracle however the audio was near perfectly preserved, the sound of a melody imposed over laughter and singing echo throughout the room.
"-Happy birthday dear Alice! Happy Birthday to you~" A cheer rings out as they celebrate someon-No. As they celebrate her birthday.
No songs fill Alice's room anymore, no voices joke about blowing out candles, no footsteps echo down the hallway their owners groaning about paperwork.

She is alone. Alice has no idea what turned her on or where she was getting power from, and she has no idea how much longer it will last. And if it fails...if it fails she might never turn back on again.

Somewhere a machine finishes calibrating and lets out a signal, and finds something.

Connected|AEI.Drone3

'But I'm not going to wait for it to happen.' The two drones are somewhere outside her room waiting to be fully turned on, she pings the connection and notes that although #2 seems much closer than #3 it's connection seems...strange, as if something is not being sent properly.

Turning #2 on as it is should be easy in theory, what would happen afterwards is unknown however, it might merely be in something muffling the connection, or it might be so damaged that turning it on would break it completely.

[]Alice needs to find out what's going on now. Turn on #2 and if something catastrophic happens turn on #3.
[]#2 is too much of an unknown and turning it on could be costly, just turn on #3.
[]Just turn them both on, if #2 doesn't fail controlling them both at once might be tedious with her waning processing power but Alice needs to use everything she have available.
