You take a breath. Exhale. Feel it flow around you. Ask yourself why you sit in the Somatic Link when you no longer need it. Perhaps it is familiarity? You remember so little that this chair, this machinery, is like family.

You sit, legs folded, hands on your knees. Concentrate and let the energy of the Void flow around you. Your soul fills the void within the Beast and it is yours, a familiar second skin through which you dream of a warrior. You become it, it becomes you. Where does it end and you begin?

You were the first to awaken, and you still don't have an answer. Perhaps there is no difference. "Ordis?"

Operator! We will be exiting above Lua shortly.

Always cheerful. More than a little insane, but you know why. You searched through the codex. You found the hidden messages. "Thank you. Who's with us?"

Another Tenno. Talks-with-Sharp-Words.

You let out a tired breath. Every Tenno you meet has names like that. Why no one has figured out the truth is beyond you. "And this Tenno is the one we're retrieving?"

They are unaware of the reason we are at Lua, but yes. Their reservoir is in imminent danger, and their Cephalon has prepared the Somatic Link of their orbiter to receive them. Perhaps it will go smoother than yours?

Your awakening involved a running firefight with Sentients while your companion carried you. Your awakening pulled the Moon out of the Void and back into its orbit of old Earth. You still have unanswered questions about the Stalker. "Perhaps." You close your eyes.

You are Dreamer-of-Silent-Fields. You are Tenno. You call upon the Void, and within the confines of the Orbiter, you bring to life the giant of muscle and gold. "Prepare for drop, Ordis. Let's begin."

You dream.

Not of who you are.

But of who you want to be.

The frailties of your child-body give way to strength and unstoppable momentum. Where you descended from the somatic link, from the Transferrence, the giant of gold and sinew, named after a beast not seen for thousands of years, descends from the Liset. There is a drop, but no fear. There is no pain. There is no obstacle.

Instead, you land, the impact shaking dust off of the marble and regolith. You hold in one hand the golden rifle, its banana clip extending from the top and bottom. Your fists and feet are heavy with the weapon of your choice.

You hear the faint buzz of another orbiter flying overhead. You look up, and track the path of the gray and white humanoid, who lands in a silent crouch next to you. His sheathed sword rests on his hip and his knives rest in his hand, ready to throw. An Excalibur warframe.

You pat a fist against your palm. You make the symbols with your fingers in the language made so long ago in memories most have forgotten.

Talks-with-Sharp-Words, you sign, I am Dreamer-of-Silent-Fields. There are Sentients inside.

The Excalbur stands. Looks you up and down. He signs first a congratulations- he hadn't seen the Prime Rhino before. Then signs something else. We should probably go, then. Come back with more.

You remember your first encounter with Sentients. At least, since your warframe emerged from cryostasis. We don't have time. This is urgent.

Why,
he signs. Why is this urgent?

You ponder that. When you emerged, when you awakened, the experience was jarring. But you were first. You had Stalker on your heels and Hunhow coming for you. This one is not the first. But he doesn't know.

What do you do?
----

Welcome to Dreamer's Quest. You are a Tenno, an ancient warrior cast into the war-torn worlds of the Origin (Sol) System. Or at least you thought you were an ancient warrior.

You are a Tenno. You were a child when your ship was lost in the Void, a Hellspace without reason or law, and you were changed. As were many of your friends, your fellow children. You survived where the adults did not, and you emerged with power. Uncontrollable power.

One of the Orokin, the immortal, ageless, merciless posthumans who ruled, took pity on you. She saved you. She put you in a dream where you dreamt of being a warrior, and fought a war against the invading machine minds, and then against your masters. Only recently have you awakened- the Old War has begun again. You have awakened in body and mind, slowly understanding your own powers. Slowly understanding this war has many sides.

You are on Lua, the Moon, to awaken Talks-with-Sharp-Words. How do you answer his question?

[ ]Emerge from your Warframe and let them know the truth.

[ ]Give them the cliff notes, but spare the revelation.

[ ]Write in.

[X]Give them the cliff notes, but spare the revelation.

Dude just woke up. The reveal would be better in a more controlled and less hostile area. Not a good idea to mentally unbalance them when we're about to enter a possible warzone.

Technically he hasn't woken up. He's still in the second dream.

I guess 'defrosted' would be a better term?

Also, if I read that correctly, we're packing a Soma for this trip. What's our secondary and melee weapon?
Our primary is a Soma Prime. Our melee is a set of Kogake. Our secondary is a Synoid Gammacore.

Essentially, we've fought Sentients before, we know about their adaptation, and short of Transferring out of the Warframe and blasting them with Void, the only way to reliably kill them is to hit them with everything.

EDIT:
Talks-With-Sharp-Words is packing a Nikana or Dragon Nikana, so he isn't newly defrosted. He's just still in the Second Dream.

We are fighting sentients, and you are generally SoL if you are fighting even mook sentients without Operator.

cant risk throwing him off his game sentients are no joke and time is of the essence.

Either he'll see it now, or he'll see it later mid-fight.

... Tell me it's the Palatine Skin, I do not want to be the windup frame.
Perhaps. But more importantly, where Excalibur is suited towards running towards the opponent, swinging the sword as RULES OF NATURE plays, Rhino's specialty is adding new citizens to the population of SUPLEX CITY.

We should ease into this I'm thinking. What does the operator look like btw @GreggHL ?
