Actually, yeah not that far off. There should be pictures in the update and char sheet, did those load properly? (I need to check what I'm doing is working in that regard)
Niiiiice, not quite what I have in mind but quite good! The musculature is really nice though the legs aren't what I have in mind. I have like three or four pictures in store for her getting older. So, I know this is early, but I think I know about what our character will and/or should look like grown.
...but anyway, LOVING this so far.
Yu know you might honestly not be wrong lol : D.[X] Time to explore! Wander towards the horizon and look for interesting things...food, she's looking for more food.
The true secret of all Bungie quests is that they're actually about eating things
I didn't remember that but yes. She will eat a lot.-More so than Goku she likes to eat. Even more than a Saiyan she is gluttonous and will take any opportunity for food she can. This includes nibbling on strange things when she sees them.
Really? Goku ate clouds.
Fair enough. I just saw this cheeky oni girl and immediately thought of this art, which is like my favorite oni character artwork ever.Niiiiice, not quite what I have in mind but quite good! That's my intent at least.
I'm not sure how close to the rules you want to stick, but Stunting also is very explicit in that you cannot describe an opponents actions. I suppose there might be wiggle room for things like assuming your opponent is taking a stance if you're fighting them or being able to bounce off of a person if there's a crowd around you, but generally you stay away from that.Furthermore there won't be dice or the like for fighting, instead treat it like Stunting in Exalted when devising battle tactics and technique training ideas. To those who might not be familiar, Stunting is writing an action in an interesting or funny or cool or horrifying fashion. Its a fancy kind of write in basically where you detail whatever you're doing in an interesting and or flamboyant way. ANY action at all, involved in your fight or anything else. Even talking to people! The more amazing and impactful your Stunt is, the better chances of success or at least lesser failure. Which in Dragon Ball can become successes through the results of effort in a rematch.
I'm guessing we're remaining red skinned for our life here? I... was kind of wondering how adaptive we are between our age and any innate magic/spiritual power we possess and how it would shape us, but... eh. I don't really know how much red skin would make us stand out in Dragonball even if a more human form might let us fit in/dodge suspicion better, but that would require it to either be automatic or for her to care enough in the first place to try and pick up magic to disguise herself.Niiiiice, not quite what I have in mind but quite good! Yeah, describing what the other guy is doing is going to be my job mainly. Your job as readers is describing how Suzy is feeling, acting and what she's doing with the environment included. She's fighting a giant cyclops for example, and she's losing. How does she feel about that, what drives her to act, who does she remember? What does she do with that feeling? And how does the world buckle under her efforts, does the wind blow majestically, the ground shatter like fine china, or the waves part?I'm not sure how close to the rules you want to stick, but Stunting also is very explicit in that you cannot describe an opponents actions. To help people with stunts its generally made up of an action you're starting with, the character's emotions or intent within the overall scene, and/or especially environmental descriptions in regards to how your character is using it.
Might be better for people to try and look through the votes for an Exalted quest or two to see what stunts are like.

Both of which are kind of doubtful I guess.
Still, Dragonball. Shit was weird back in that one. Good weird too. Z lost a lot of its... magic I guess when it transitioned to what it became.
I made a bit of interesting lore for an SI I'll never publish so I guess I'll share it here in case you want to use it/it inspires you... I almost don't want to share it because someone else might use it before I do, but I know I'll never actually publish my story anyway:
So the idea is basically that as humanity advances and "solves" the world around them they push everything else away into a kind of... shadow.
The Wilderness. Magic runs freely and creatures of myth and legend still walk. There are places where the worlds connect, anything from a once a century ritual to getting lost in the local park can be the connection point between them, and so they aren't completely separated, just... lost to each other. The places where they meet would be the Borders, I would call these places being like OG Dragonball, where magic wasn't common but it was still around fairly frequently. Well at the Border's low end it would be like that.
Dragonball humanity is just weird anyway. Pretty sure they have a few long term wishes running over them, though it'd be hard to peg what exactly. They have a penchant for forgetting things that would traumatize them as a civilization though. Or just forget things in general honestly.
Anyway, time to achieve enlightenment through punching people. And eating apparently.
Why thank you! Hmm, I definitely like it as a bit of lore and as a description of the structure of Earth with its cities and then weird ass dinosaur plains in the franchise over the decades. That all said I'm not sure how that will inspire me from now on, I'll have to think about it.I made a bit of interesting lore for an SI I'll never publish so I guess I'll share it here in case you want to use it/it inspires you... That's definitely a possibility! It just occurred to me but one of the first techniques we should have Suzy develop when she unlocks ki is the ability to make a club out of ki. Both to have a backup weapon and to surprise people with an energy club!
Uh. *Thinks*Speaking of DB weirdness isn't the leader of the people of Earth a dog? I vaguely, and I mean incredibly vaguely, remember a canine looking character at some point being in that role I think.

Exactly what I mean when I said there seems to be long-term Wish weirdness already. Their King is a Dog that doesn't seem to do anything and everyone just goes "Eh" at it.Uh. *Thinks*
Yep. King, or Koku-O in Japanese. He's an anthropomorphic dog.
I have written a bit of it, to flush out how the Wilderness looks a bit if nothing else, but I know better than to assume I'll actually post it ever.
Honestly yeah they do have long term wishes running around, because it is established at some point that someone wished to be king some time in the distant past and that persisted. And is possibly responsible for King the character.Exactly what I mean when I said there seems to be long-term Wish weirdness already. Not to mention, again, "Who is King Picollo?" in the Z era. Its like everyone just forgot. Again.

And yeah, your stuff is usually pretty put together, but... I figure I might as well mention it. It seems like it could fit here more or less? *Shrug* Or not. Don't know what you have.
Humanity seems to have its own magic even as they reject the existence of it in Dragonball... actually that was another idea I had.
Humanity's weirdness is that every single one of them is capable of magic even if they almost never realize it.
But then most Ki users in general seems to have some level of magic use. I wouldn't be surprised to find out most special Ki blasts are incidental magic at least a little. Powered by Ki, but their uniqueness is caused by magic the user accidentally uses. It would explain the Kamehameha anyway, especially considering Roshi knows something of magic between his more esoteric techniques and who his sister is.
Of course that also starts getting into what I think magic is in Dragonball, so... Patterns and Rituals btw. Making different patterns out of [insert energy form here], usually Ki. Which would be ritual casting in its own way, hence why I say both.
But, again, don't want/not trying to step on any toes, and that's all I have anyway.
That's more or less what mine is as well. Specific patterns they make, incidental or not, with their Ki and Rituals they might not even realize they are doing like the stances or words. I would bet the words "Kamehameha" are actually a ritual/spell chant. If you're good enough you don't need it, but its always stronger with a more powerful chant.Hmm. Well in regards to your spoiler the frame I'm using for this quest is that Magic and Ki are distinct sections of mysticism and methods for improving the capabilities of one's self(which is rather similar to how the series frames it imo). If you look back at the mythological framework Dragon Ball, the first one specifically, it is an adventure story in the model of Journey to The West or Momotaro. In those stories through some means the protagonist gains physical might and character growth via training while running into magical beings or sorcerers which have used something else, some other method to attain their position.
This distinction in methods translates over to Dragon Ball and gives the split in the series that you see and is the basis for what I'm using where they are cousin methods. They're basically different insights into different portions of the mysticism of the Universe with only some overlap. Different methods of enlightenment and such.
This is not necessarily an exclusionary relationship.
Under this framework the Kamehameha and Dodonpa and Keinzan(Destructo Disk) are techniques which draw from the martial arts concepts of visualization and manipulating the mystical energy of your own body through that visualization and special stances providing leverage for powerful techniques. In Dragon Ball this energy is Ki, either yours or in the case of the Spirit Bomb the Ki of the universe via everyone who donates energy.
I was mainly considering that humanity's oddity since Acrosians are basically unkillable and Namekians can auto-regen. And have a magic clan.Humans or other races all using Magic in some regard is definitely something I'll consider because its an interesting explanation for some of the weirdness. I'll have to consider it when it comes time for her to meet intelligent races. And don't worry you're not stepping on any toes.
I'm not sure what you mean by this? With how much Ki covered I never got why there was a separate pool entirely for Magic, but its not like it doesn't fit to have it either. Internally generated energy versus externally harvested energy maybe? Eh.
