Everyone knows the tale of Son Goku, the Legendary Saiyan who was raised on Earth. Everyone know of the endless changes that could have been made.

However, we're not going to make the classic changes such as: What if Vegeta was in Goku's place?

No. We're not going to do that, not today.

I'm going to take you through a different timeline in Dragon Ball, the original tale of Son Goku and friends, with a twist.

You see, The Ox King was meant to have a daughter who'd blossom into a beautiful young woman whom Goku would propose to after their match in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. That's right, Chi Chi.

In this timeline, things are vastly different. Goku, otherwise known as Kakarot, was not the only Saiyan sent to Earth as a child. As a matter of fact, another child was sent to Earth. Though, unlike Goku, this child did not land near the late Gohan. Instead, she landed near the residence of the Ox King.

Now, in this timeline, the Ox King still fathered Chi Chi. . . However, she was stillborn. So, when an unconscious, very small child drifted his way, he saw it as a blessing. After looking for her parents of course. He never found them. And to his surprise, the young girl had a tail! Of all things! However, the Ox King decided to care and love for the young girl regardless. He took care of her, and when she wanted to learn to fight, her taught her everything he knew.

And now, without further adieu, let us begin, back where it all started.

Chapter 1: Meiko! Daughter of the Ox King!

My feet landed softly as I glanced up towards the tree I had just leapt out of, smiling to myself and wagging my tail behind me. That was. . . Twenty feet at least? I then ran forward, and leapt high, allowing my tail to grasp onto a branch. I spun around the branch, and then released it. I smiled with glee as I flew through the air, and then started to front flip and landed easily on my feet.

I let out a breath, glancing up before feeling the Earth tremble beneath my feet. I glanced around, and then turned around. The Earth trembled once again as the creature stepped towards me. I narrowed my eyes, glancing at the tall dinosaur as it eyeballed what it thought would soon be it's prey. It took another step, and I started to run towards it. I knew I wouldn't be able to bring it down very easily, but I could at least make it know better than to attack me.

It also charged forward. It lunged at me, and I ducked, and shot myself up through the air. I slammed headfirst into the dinosaurs chest and it let out a pained roar as I landed back on my feet. I then took aim at it's leg, running quickly toward and leaping. I drove my foot hard into what could only be it's ankle bone. Once again, the dinosaur let out a pained roar. I dashed back out from underneath the dinosaur. It glanced at me again, before it roared and turned around. It was going to run from me!

I started forward again, and leapt through the air. I placed my foot forward, and drove it into the base of the dinosaur's neck. The dinosaur then collapsed to the ground with a loud thud as I landed next to it, smiling. Papa'd be happy with this one, what a large meal this would be! Yummy! . . . Just. . . How would I move this monstrous beast? I glanced around, and made my way towards a tree that had a large amount of vines when a man jumped out at me.

"Nice job kid!" He exclaimed, and instinctively, I threw a punch which he managed to dodge before bringing down a chop. I caught it, and pulled him over my shoulder, slamming him onto his back.

"What's the big idea, huh? Do you always go around jumping out at young girls from bushes?" I questioned him, tilting my head at him as he lay there on the ground.

He had long black hair, black eyes and a triangular jawline. His eyes were closed in pain for a moment, then he opened.

"No...And not at ones who can throw me over their shoulder with ease," He answered, standing up. He wore a green garb with a symbol in the mid, orange one the edges and orange pants.

Some creature flew up to him and asked him if he was alright. Puar was it's name.

"Just, who are you anyways? Not very many people come around here because of the fire on my dad's mountain, and those that do get beat up."

"I'm Yamcha, and this is Puar. What's your name little girl?" He questioned.

"I'm Meiko, daughter of the Ox King!" I replied, to which he immediately took to with fear. I giggled, and continued, "Don't worry. My dad's not a bad guy once you get to know him. He's just a big teddy bear under that shell of his."

I wagged my tail back and forth as I said that, and his eyes caught onto that.

"You have a tail too, like that Goku kid. . ."

I raised my eyebrow, in consideration of that. Papa told me I was the only one he ever knew of who had a tail other than a kid his friend had found one day. Maybe he was the same person? Couldn't be. I glanced back to the dinosaur, and then to the vines and made my way to them.

"Hungry? My dad's a good cook and there'll be plenty to go around with that big guy," I asked him as I grabbed onto a vine and climbed up.

I turned back, and the guy was gone. Strange. Hm. Oh well, back to the food.

I wonder how Papa is going to cook it?

Well, consider me interested.

Apart from some spelling and grammar mistakes, this looks intriguing, and Meiko sounds delightfully less irritating than little Chichi.

An nice premise and a friendly protagonist. I think it is hard to write kids and to introduce the audience to how they think. So far you've done a fine job of that. I wonder if this change will result in any powers popping up earlier. Perhaps flight? Or enhancing weapons with energy.

Chapter 2: Son Goku and the Flying Nimbus
Chapter 2: Son Goku and the Flying Nimbus

I had finished with the vines and the branches I had managed to break off of the tree. They looked like a raft, only I'd have them on the ground underneath the dinosaur. I dragged the raft thing behind myself by the numerous vines I had attached to it, all intertwined. Though. . . Maybe I hadn't quite thought this through….
How was I supposed to get the dinosaur onto the. . Oh! I'll just chop it into pieces! Papa'll have an easier time cooking him that way!

I deposited the raft next to the dinosaur's head, and took out my jian sword. Typically the blade was on my back in it's sheathe, though, now it had good use. I climbed up onto the dinosaur and proceeded to slice clean through it's neck. The head rolled nicely onto the raft. Good, otherwise I'd have to have done it myself. I then sliced through the portions of the dinosaur and placed them all onto the raft.

I smiled at myself as I walked around to the front of the raft, picking up the vines I had there. There were four vines in all, two for each side of the raft. I grabbed two of them, and began to tie them around myself when I heard a strange sound coming from the sky. I glanced up as a boy riding on a cloud flew in front of me.

"Hey, are you Meiko?" He asked me.

"Yes I am, who are you?" I answered, and questioned him back.

"I'm Goku. The Ox-King sent me here so we can find Master Roshi and go get the Bansho Fan so we can get rid of the fire," Goku answered me back.

After he said his name, I glanced him over. Tall spiky black hair, like mine though mine actually went more along my face where his was pointed in every which direction. He was dressed in a blue gi, with a white belt on. And. . . HE DID HAVE A TAIL!

"You do have a tail! Just like me! See!" I turned around and waggled my tail through the air. That Yamcha guy was right!

"Woah! I've gotta tell Bulma!" Goku went wide eyed seeing the tail.

"Who's Bulma?" I tilted my head at him after he said that.

"She's a friend of mine, we're looking for Dragon Balls together."

"Oh. Okay," I pretended to know what those were for the moment, and then looked at the fact that he was truly riding on the cloud, "How are you riding on that?"

"Oh, this is my Flying Nimbus. Master Roshi gave it to me. You can only ride if you have a pure heart!" Goku answered me, "So, you can climb on and see!"

I glanced back at the dinosaur I had put a bunch of hard work into getting, then back at Goku.

"But, there's all that food there. . I should probably take that to papa before we go find Master Roshi," Truth be told, I was a little hungry. . .

"Then I'll help you and we'll go get the Bansho Fan," Goku hopped off of his cloud and started to walk right to the dinosaur.

"Goku, wait. See these vines here? Wrap this one around yourself, and then grab that one. I'll do the same over here. The vines make it easier to pull instead of just lifting it. It was a dinosaur, after all," I giggled, as I grabbed the center of the leftmost vines.

I wrapped it around myself and watched Goku do the same as I grabbed my other vine. Now that he was on the ground, I noticed that I could see a little bit over him. . . I was taller than him! That was awesome!

We began to pull, and it turned out the dinosaur was either slightly less heavy than I thought. . Or maybe Goku was pretty strong too? Either way, he didn't seem to be struggling all that much. I wasn't either. We didn't talk much as we dragged the dinosaur back, though eventually we got to where the heat alone would probably have started to cook him. Papa liked to be near the mountain, even with the fires. He missed his home really badly, it often put him in a sad mood. And some of the guests we'd get he'd scare off.

We came across the hill and saw some of the ruins. My Papa was standing there next to a tall girl with blue hair and a really short pig. They must have been Goku's friends!

"Where's Master Roshi?" The pig questioned. He had a grovely kind of voice.

"I didn't wanna leave all this food out to waste so I wanted to bring it back before we got Master Roshi," I answered him, "And Goku offered to help so we'd get back in twice the time it would have taken me!"

"That's my little Meiko," Papa said, placing his hand on my head and gently patting me, "Always thinking with her stomach."

I smiled.

"Sounds like Goku," The girl replied, glancing at me. Her eyes widened for a moment and she pointed at me, "You have a tail too!"

"Ayup! Isn't it awesome? Papa said it makes me unique!" I waggled my tail behind me gleefully, then I tilted my head at her, "What's your name? You have blue hair, how'd you get it?"

"I'm Bulma, this is just how my hair is colored," She answered.

"And what's your name piggy?" His eyes widened in fear as I said that.

"Oolong! My name's Oolong!" He seemed to yell it at me. How enthusiastic of him.

"That's nice with the introductions and all, but shouldn't you be getting going to Master Roshi's to get the Bansho Fan?" Bulma asked Goku.

"Okay," He then turned and faced the sky and shouted, "Flying Nimbus!"

And soon enough his cloud came flying back and stopped right in front of him. He climbed aboard and was about to leave.

"Goku! Wait! Let me on!" I shouted as I ran up and leapt into the air.

I landed gently on the cloud and beamed with glee.

"I guess I have a pure heart too! Let's go! I've never flown before!"

And with that, the cloud began to fly. I grabbed onto Goku's back and started to giggle with laughter.

"Flying is amazing!"

That swordsmanship reminds me of little Gohan! On an unrelated note I wonder how she'll learn about the Oozaru transformation. Thanks for the update!

I'll be trying to update it rather frequently. As for the Oozaru transformation. . . I'm still debating.

To be honest I'm half flying by the seat of my pants half planning this out and trying to think what needs to stay and what can go. Obviously the Oozaru needs to happen when it does.

I also forgot about little Gohan with his sword because I haven't watched DBZ in ages, only just got to it after finishing the original Dragon Ball and I just found myself incredibly inspired. So, I had to make a change. And with all the timelines Dragon Ball has? Made all the sensu beens. :p

Well, I see no way this can go wrong, what with two Saiyajin and an upcoming full moon. :V

By the way, did Meiko too receive a blow to the head as an infant? Or is she the one child that wasn't sent for domination, but because it was friendly?

Addendum:
Just came to me that the second possibility would mean she'd be fully aware as an Oozaru.

Absolutely right, no way at all this can go wrong.

As for why she's there? You'll find that out later. We've got at least eight years before Raditz shows his long hair around. And yes, I have officially made up my mind on it. I wish I could draw or have some of the hair mods actually work for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. I'd show you how she's supposed to look. I'll likely make up a description at some point.

And as for who she really is? Well, FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON DRAGON BALL Z!

Currently, I'm imagining someone roughly following this design (though accordingly younger):

Chapter 3: The Kamehameha, and the Start of My Grand Adventure!
As a heads up, there will be some chapters which will be written twice, in both third and first person perspective as to allow more of the story to be told. Specifically, fight scenes.
Other chapters may simply be third person due to Meiko herself not being involved and or unaware of the happenings around herself.

I am also going to begin color coding the dialogue for to match with a character. That way I don't always have to put "Roshi said" "Roshi said" again and again. A 12 year old can only think up so many words to describe that stuff. For stuff that's from her POV, anyways.

Chapter 3: The Kamehameha, and the Start of My Grand Adventure!

The clouds and the air breezed past us as we flew along the sky, the ocean far beneath us as we did loops through the air. I cheered out loudly as I could as we flew along. We then flew down, to just above the surface of the water, causing an enormous wave to erupt from the water behind us. I watched with glee as we flew along.

My smile never left my face as Goku began to speak to me.

"We might never find the Turtle Hermit out in the middle of nowhere, maybe we should stop and ask for directions?" He spoke.

"That's a good idea. All this water goes on for. . . As far as I can see. Which is pretty far," I tilted my head to the side as I stared at the back of his head.

The Nimbus began to slow and then came to a stop over the water as a fish with two fins on its sides, and a snout on it's face came out to greet us

"Hey, do you know where Master Roshi lives?" Goku questioned it.

"Yeah, just keep heading that way and you can't miss his island!" The fish answered. With that, the Nimbus took off again in the direction the fish pointed us is.

"That was the strangest looking fish I've ever seen," I told Goku.

Soon enough, I spotted it, "Goku! Look!"

As we came up upon the island, I saw a small, pink home. It had the word 'Kame' written on the side. There were a few trees about the house.

"Hey! Master Roshi!" Goku yelled out as the Nimbus brought us down to shore, where an old man was standing, looking out into the water.

His bald head was very shiney! He wore sunglasses, so I couldn't see what color his eyes were. His face was covered in a grey beard. His orange shirt had palm trees all over it, and he stood there with a stick in his right hand that touched the ground. It looked like he had a shell on his back.

"Hello there! Hop on down kid, I had a feeling I'd be seeing you again some day." The shiny bald headed man answered.

I tilted my head to the left in confusion as Goku jumped off the cloud. I continued to stare at the man, he certainly didn't look all that powerful. Though, I was tiny compared to him so maybe he was!

"How you doing?" He excitedly asked Roshi.

"Good! For an old coot! Ehehehe!" Was Roshi's response, "I had a feeling I'd see you again."

"I still have the flying Nimbus, it's great!" Goku exclaimed, pointing to the Nimbus cloud behind us.

"Still have it? I'm not surprised, I'd say that cloud was made for you," Roshi said, then looked at me confused, then back at Goku.

"Hey Goku, what happened to your friend here? Last time I saw her she was taller, didn't have spiky black hair and, was, well, bigger," Roshi made some sort of motion around his chest when he did that.

"Oh, that was Bulma, but this girl is Meiko! She has a tail like me! Her dad's the Ox-King. He's the one who asked us to come here," Goku told Roshi.

Roshi then trailed off to himself about how he used to train my Papa.

"Yeah, he told me to go find you because you have the Bansho Fan! He said it can put out the fire on his mountain! Will you please let us have it Master Roshi? Pretty please?" I jumped up and down excitedly as I pleaded for it.

"The Bansho Fan? Yes, I have that. It's a magic fan. Wave it once, and it causes a heavy wind. The second time it's waved, a rain cloud appears, and the third time? It rains a lot."

"That's perfect!" I answered.

"Now hold on! The fan is very dangerous. I'm not sure you kids can handle it," Roshi cut me off.

"But. . . We need it! The fires on the mountain are too much! Papa can't get back into his castle! Please help us Master Roshi!"

"Well, the Bansho Fan could put out that fire, and since one good turn deserves another. . Hm.." He trailed off, then had Goku follow him behind his house as I stood there confused.

I glanced around, and noticed a turtle sitting there.

"Hello," I smiled at him.

"Hii," He answered. I kneeled down on my knees and started to pet him. He was an adorable little turtle.

Goku came running back out, and shouted at me, "Hey! Meiko! We get to borrow the Bansho Fan!"

"That's wonderful!" I exclaimed, and ran up to Goku and grabbed onto his hands, and we both cheered.

Roshi came around behind Goku. He opened the door into his house, and walked in. Goku and I climbed up onto the window to watch as he began to look for the fan. He moved at an astonishing speed for such and old man as he went from one end of the house, to the other. He began muttering to himself before he then glanced back out the window.

"Hey! Turtle! Do you remember what I did with that blasted fan?" Roshi asked his Turtle.

"You were using it as a place mat the last time I saw it," Turtle responded.

"That was the Bansho Fan!? I threw it away because I spilled some juice on it. . ." Roshi put his head down.

My eyes widened as I looked at the old man, "Isn't there something you can do? You're the Great Master Roshi after all! I'm sure you can think of something!"

"Well of course! There's nothing Master Roshi can't do!" Roshi exclaimed, "I'll go to the mountain myself and put out the flames!"

"Really!? You're wonderful Master Roshi!" I jumped up and down, then ran into the house to give him a hug.

Roshi and I then exited his house. I ran back to Goku and then I climbed back onto the Nimbus, and Goku looked back to Roshi.

"But, you can't ride the Nimbus," Goku stated.

Roshi simply smiled, "Don't worry about that son, I think I can find another ride. Come to me, Baby Gamera!"

I tilted my head, and raised an eyebrow. I have never heard of a Gamera before. I wonder what it is?

There came a sound from the sky, and I looked up to see something spinning. It constantly spat fire as it came to a stop in front of Master Roshi. It looked like a turtle, though it had tusks. It was all dark and looked kind of mean. Was this a Gamera?

"At your service," It spoke as it looked at Roshi.

"I need to take an express spin over to Fire Mountain," Roshi informed the creature, to which it agreed. Roshi then told Turtle to behave himself.

He didn't find it funny. I wasn't sure how a Turtle would get himself into trouble.

Goku then jumped onto the Nimbus with me, and he said, "We'll go on ahead and meet you there, okay?"

The Nimbus started off as soon as Goku finished saying that. I stayed standing and smiled gleefully as Roshi called out behind us.

"Okay kids! I'll be along shortly!"

"He's gonna put out the fire! Papa's gonna be so happy, I just know it Goku! Then we can have that big delicious dinosaur!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fire Mountain rose up over the distance as we neared our destination, down below, Papa stood tall above Bulma and Oolong. I could see his smile despite the distance as we approached. As soon as the Nimbus stopped, I was off to Papa, beaming with excitement.

"Papa! Papa! We went to Roshi's but the Bansho Fan wasn't there! He said it was ruined," I grabbed onto his leg and hugged.

"What!? The Bansho Fan is ruined?" My Papa asked me, there was a tinge of sadness in his voice.

"But it's okay Papa! He said he'll put the fire out himself! He's on his way here right now!"

"That's funny kid, you actually fell for that," Oolong stated. I didn't know what he meant.

"Look! Up there! It's Roshi!" I pointed to him up in the sky and the other's looked.

Before Gamera even landed, Roshi hopped off of his ride and let out a shout as he fell. He landed on all three feet, his stick included. My Papa ran off to him.

"Master Roshi! It's really you!" He exclaimed, and bowed to Roshi. That caused Roshi to fall onto his turtle shell. I couldn't help but giggle. "Master, are you? Are you okay?"

"Maybe he spun around on Gamera too much?" I tilted my head as I asked the question.

"That's the one drawback to riding Gamera, he makes you so darn dizzy. . . It's hard to adjust," Roshi seemed to be telling me I was right.

"Are you gonna put out the fire now Master Roshi?" I asked him.

"Wait! First thing's first!" He then looked at my Papa and shouted at him for hurting people over his treasure. My Papa begged forgiveness. "Oh, stop your blubbering you big oaf, I forgive you."

"Now, you mean to tell me...You can't put out that fire yourself? What's wrong, too old?" Roshi grinned after that one. He then poked Goku and whispered to him.

Those two and Bulma then went behind some rubble to chat. This was the second time that Goku and Roshi went off somewhere to talk about things. I could hear some of what they were talking about. A walk, or something.

I then heard Bulma yell out "YOU BE QUIET!"

I tilted my head in confusion. The three then walked out, and Roshi yelled out.

"It's time to cool this Mountain down!"

Roshi then walked up to a wall. He then threw off his turtle shell and dropped his stick. His shirt fell off after that. He had two bandages on his shoulders, and six white things on his back.

"Well, here goes," He turned around and looked to Bulma, "Get ready for that walk!"

He then grabbed onto the fence and tried to climb up, then asked for a boost. Goku and I walked up and pushed his legs up. Once up, he almost fell.

"So, can he really do this, or what?" Bulma questioned.

"Don't underestimate the Master," My Papa replied.

I took a step back after glancing back to Roshi. His arms had grown to be much bigger! My eyes widened. How did he do that!? THAT'S COOL! He took in a deep breath, and then his chest grew too! His body began to have a strange blue glow around it.

"Now watch this! It's the Master's Kamehameha wave!" Papa shouted enthusiastically.

Everyone one of Roshi's movements was audible, as if there were breaking bones in him. He drew in a large, deep breath, and put his hands in front of him.

"Kaaaa!. . . . Meeee!. Haaaaaaaa!. . Meee!. . HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!"

From the Master's hands erupted a bright orb of light, I could hardly see.

There was a sudden gust of wind which caused my hair to fly back, and tail started to be sent backwards uncontrollably. The bright blue orb sat there for a moment, before it suddenly flew into the mountain, and the flames stopped for a moment before turning blue. Everything turned to a bright blue flash that lasted for moments as I heard the sound of an explosion!

Once I could see again. . . THE MOUNTAIN WAS GONE!

"I'm pooped. . ." Roshi said, as he was sitting on the fence, out of breath.

"Master, the fire, it's out. . But. You kinda. ."

"Spit it out!"

"Well, the Mountain! And my castle. ."

Roshi looked back, and was visibly shocked at what he did.

"Hey! Not bad for an old man! I'm not as rusty as I thought."

"But, it's gone!" Myself, Goku, Bulma, and Oolong all said at the exact same time. That would have been funny if the mountain wasn't blown up.

"Whoops, sorry about that!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bulma and Oolong had went off into the rubble to look for the Dragon Ball, I had to ask them about it later. Roshi stood in front of my Papa as I stood next to Goku.

"Thank you Master Roshi! It feels much better here!" I beamed with excitement, it was really cool here now.

"Oh don't thank me, I feel bad about wrecking your castle," He answered.

"Don't feel bad! Knowing Papa, he'll make a new one in no time!" I told him.

Goku looked at Roshi and pointed, "That was incredible, can you teach me how to do that?"

"Yeah Master Roshi! I wanna know how to do it too! I'll put out all the fires ever!"

Roshi held up his hand, with all fives fingers out, "Sure, but it'll take you fifty years to learn the Kamehameha Wave."

Fifty years? That wasn't too bad. As I thought to myself, Goku went off towards a red car that had been sitting there and put his hands at his side.

"Ka. . Me. . Ha...Me..HA!" Goku shouted, and suddenly, the bright blue orb appeared in his hands as he put his hands in front of him. The orb flew into the car, which then blew up! A tire landed by my Papa.

"Aw. . It wasn't as good at the Turtle Hermit's. . ." Goku muttered to himself.

But, I thought otherwise. I ran over and grabbed onto his arms, "Goku! That was amazing! My turn! My turn!"

I then spun around and stood with my feet wide apart. I put my hands to my side, like Roshi and Goku did. My target was the wall in front of us. I drew in a deep breath, and closed my eyes.

"Ka. . . . . ."

"Me. . . . . ."

"Ha. . . . . ."

"Me. . . . . ."

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The orb appeared by my hands as I extended them out in front of myself, the light wasn't anywhere near as blinding as Roshi's or Goku's. . Maybe it was because I was the one firing it. The orb turned into a stream of light that connected with the wall and then tore right through it, slamming through at least two walls after that and even creating a trail where it had touched the ground.

I stood there for a moment after it stopped. I let my hands down to my sides as I looked over at Goku, then to Roshi.

"How was that!?" I was smiling so bright that I think the sun was darker.

"That was even better than mine! You sure learn fast, Meiko!"

Roshi walked over to us both, and began to speak, "Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't you two come with me on my island, and I'll train you both personally."

"It would be a great honor to have the same teacher my grandpa had!" Goku exclaimed in excitement.

I looked over at Papa, smiling widely, "Can I Papa! Oh please please please!"

"Of course you can, my little Princess. But you must remember to listen very carefully to what he as to teach you, he's a fine teacher and I based what I taught you from what he taught me," Papa stated. I ran over to him and hugged him.

"YIPPIE!" We heard off in the distance. Sounded like Bulma.

"She must have found it," Goku stated, looking over that way.

Upon return, Bulma saw that Goku had blown up the car.

"Hey, who did this?" She looked on.

Goku proudly stated he had, but before anything else happened Papa threw a capsule and it was a big car!

"Take one of my cars, little Goku has done so well today. He deserves a reward," Papa said.

I jumped onto the back of the car and then looked at Goku.

"How many more Dragon Balls are you guys looking for? Can I come with you!?" I bounced up and down on the car, looking at Goku, Bulma, Roshi, and Papa.

"Should be about two more," Bulma answered that question, then looked at Roshi and my Papa, "That's up to you two."

She continued to play with the thing in her hands that was making a beeping noise. Papa looked at me.

"What about Roshi's lessons, Meiko?"

"Goku and I will go learn from Roshi once we're done finding the Dragon Balls!"

"Well, you better remember to keep safe and use everything I taught you. It's a dangerous world out there. Stay by your friends and don't run off on your own, okay?"

I nodded, "Ayup Papa! I'll be extra careful!"

Everyone climbed into seats, though, I was content sitting on the back of the car. My tail wouldn't be cramped that way. Bulma started the car, but Roshi bumped her on the noggin with his stick.

"Hold it! Have you forgotten something Your promise!" He reminded her of a walk, I guess?

She looked at him, "Ahahaha. . . Yeah, I remember. The promise, right."

She grabbed onto Oolong before running off. A little bit later, Bulma popped out from behind the wall and called for Roshi. After some time, Oolong and Bulma came back. . Though Oolong had a bump on his head. The two got into the car. They started to wave to Roshi and my Papa.

"Bye! I'll miss you Papa! I'll be sure to visit you when we're done before I go off to Master Roshi's with Goku!" I shouted out to my Papa.

"You take care of yourself Meiko! And you all be safe!" Papa shouted back.

"Thanks for the Dragon Ball!" Goku yelled out, as the car had now started off.

Little did I know then that the decision to join with Goku, Bulma, and Oolong would change my entire life.

Listen up! It's vote time! I'm a bit indecisive right now about what I should do next! Let me explain my options here and what you can do!

Originally, in Dragon Ball, after Goku, Oolong, and Bulma get the Seven Star Ball they make their way to Pilaf's Castle. However, before arrival they arrive in a town due to being low on gas. There, they have a fight with the Rabbit Mob which results in Bulma being turned into a carrot by Monster Carrot. The fight ends when Puar transforms into a bird, rescues Bulma, and then turns into Monster Carrot and threatens to touch him.

Goku sends Carrot and his two gang members to the moon, and forces them to make candy for kids.

Looking back now, it feels like a filler episode and my question is this:

[] Keep the Rabbit Mob for the Next Chapter
[] Head directly to Pilaf
[] Change it up a bit, and edit the past post to allow us to actually get all Six Dragon Balls because the anime doesn't know it's math and the heroes don't actually already have Six.
[] The Previous Choice but involve the Rabbit Mob in some way

Personally, I think I am inclined towards option three or four. Keep in mind that with those two options the next chapters may take some more time for me to plan stuff out.

I'm actually researching this stuff, and following the Wikia and going back to the Episodes, which is why I know they only have four of the Seven.

Dragon Ball Collection in Chapter 3: The Four Star Ball, The Six Star Ball, The Three Star, and The Seven Star Ball.

Voting will close by 5 P.M. Eastern Time Tomorrow.

[X] The Previous Choice but involve the Rabbit Mob in some way

Rabbit is best DB villain, would have one shotted Freezer! :V

Okay, so I have some questions.

Why does Meiko not act like a Saiyan?
Why does she not have a name based on food?
Why would they send two saiyans to the same planet?
And if you are using Dragon Ball Minus as why Goku was sent to Earth in the first place, why would she be a baby rather that a very young child?

They just got a brand new car; I'm assuming that's fully fueled.

Not to be rude, but I will not be giving a direct answer to all of your questions at the moment because I'd rather not spoil the story to my readers.

Based on the fact that she drifted unconscious into the Ox-King's hands, I'd assume she likely bumped her head as a child.

She indeed does have a name based upon a vegetable, however, she doesn't know her Saiyan name. She knows only her Earthling name at the moment.
And if I had actually done my research properly, her Earthling name would have been a pun. Son Goku is a pun on the fact that he has the Flying Nimbus. And, Bulma Briefs.

As for why she was also sent to Earth, there could have been an error in the plotting of the course she'd be sent on. It could also have been done in a hurry.

Well, my math was wrong. I did a little research and she's slightly younger than Goku. The year Age she and Goku were born is also the Age that Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta. So, saying as I referred to her as a young infant in only the overview, I'm going to go back and change that. Thank you for pointing out my mistake.

Also, keep in mind the fact that I am flying a bit by the seat of my pants and mostly writing this because it's fun and enjoyable. Somethings won't make sense right now and they won't until I answer it further down the line in the story itself.

And the vote closes. It will be Option 4, for the lead.

Which means I have some work to do. And a bit more research.

Also, Meiko's name is a pun. She was found in water, and is named Meiko. There's the Mako Shark. Hehehehe. . Geddit?

Anyways, chapter 4 will be on the way and ETA either tonight or tomorrow.

Might not be the post you guys expected but I got to drawing last night.

Yup, she's definitely a Saiyan.

Chapter 4: Trouble at the Lakeshore Village
I'm really sorry for the delay guys! Honest! I got caught up in planning and researching and didn't make time to update you on that!

Also, I goofed up! In the original, Bulma already had two Dragon Balls when she met with Goku! Oops! I'm going to have to retcon again and say that she had one then and that the next one will be the last Ball before they head off against Emperor Pilaf! Anyways, ON WITH THE SHOW!

Chapter 4: Trouble at the Lakeshore Village
I sat peacefully on the back of the car, watching as the trees seemingly flew by us as we drove. Papa didn't often drive us anywhere, so even being in a car was a new experience for me. It was fun. Although, Goku's Flying Nimbus sure had this beat. I let out a yawn, and glanced to Bulma.
"What exactly is a Dragon Ball?" It had occurred to me that I never actually figured out what they were.
"Goku never told you? Well, there are Seven in all. We currently have four. Once you gather all Seven you can make a wish to the dragon. Any wish you want to make," Bulma informed me.
"That's a lot of food. . ." I muttered to myself. Papa was right. Maybe I did think with my stomach.
"How much longer until we get to the next Dragon Ball?" Oolong glanced over to Bulma as he questioned her, then he turned his attention back to the road.
Bulma took what looked like a watch from her pocket and pressed a button at the top, which made a clicking noise as the thing itself beeped. She then pressed the button again before glancing up.
"It should be in that village up ahead."
Before us was a village which sat next to a lake. The road we were currently on would put us next to the lake. We passed through an overhead arch, and I looked at the people. All of them were smiling, and some looked at us for a moment before continuing to do what they were already doing.

The buildings were all made of wood boards, some had porches, others didn't. There were various signs on each building, though it seemed like we were in the main part of the village as none of these buildings were houses. Oolong came to a slow at Bulma's request, and we stopped in front of a fancier looking building. On the sign it said, "Town Hall and Mayor's Office."
"The Dragon Ball should be in here, hopefully the mayor's a nice guy."
Bulma opened her door and got out of the car. I hopped off of the back of the car, and began to follow her. She opened the door, and we all entered. There was a large desk in the back of the room, with an open door to the right. There was a lady with blonde hair sitting there. She looked up from her book to us, and began to ask us a question.
"Do you have an appointment?"
"Not exactly," Bulma stammered out, before continuing, "You see, we were actually coming through and sightseeing. We may have gotten lost. . ."
"So, you came to the Mayor's Office to ask for directions? How. . peculiar," The lady responded. Before she could say anything else, a voice spoke up from the room to her right.
"Send them in."
The lady at the desk's eyes widened, "Yes, Mr. Mayor."
She then pointed towards the door, and nodded.
Bulma led the way as we walked into the room, which had a black desk in the middle of it. There was a bookcase on the far back wall, and a window to the right of it. There were some potted plants scattered about.
I looked back at the desk to see an orange ball sitting there, with two red stars in the center. The ball let out a glow of light, before returning to normal. I could only imagine that this was one of the Dragon Balls, specifically the Two-Star Ball. I then glanced back up, towards the window.
In front of the window stood a man who turned around to face us. He wore a black waistcoat with a white undershirt. He had light gray eyes, with a small amount of stubble on his face. His short hair was going gray. Hanging from his right wrist was a golden watch.
"My name is Gabriel, I'm the Mayor of this village. I take it that you're not actually sightseeing, are you?" He walked to his desk and picked up the Dragon Ball, holding it up to the light as he spoke, "You would not be the first to seek after this ball. I'm unsure of why, but many have come here for it. All have failed at what I asked."
He walked around the desk, towards myself and Goku. He glanced us up and down, noting our spiky hair, our clothes, and the fact that we both had a weapon upon our backs. Goku's blue gi was slightly stained and dirty. His red staff was fitted nicely in it's sheath.
As for myself, I was wearing a black gi, with a grey undershirt that went slightly over my shoulders. My jian snuggled in its sheath. I figured out what he was doing.
Despite our small size, this man figured us for warriors.
"You see, some months ago some bandits started to attack my peaceful village. We started to lose some people to them, as they started to join them. I did my best to fight them off on several occasions. However, their numbers simply grow by the day."
"So, in exchange for the Dragon Ball you want us to go find these bandits, and make them go away?" Bulma looked like she really, really didn't wanna do that.
"Yes. I assume by the looks of these two children that they have some semblance of combat knowledge. I assure you that these bandits aren't the most powerful warriors, so it should be easy for you to take care of," Gabriel swung the watch around his wrist as he said that.
"I'll help! They sound like it'll be a fun fight!" I gave my answer
"Me too!" And Goku gave his.
"Such enthusiasm," He chuckled to himself, before looking at Bulma and Oolong. "As for you two?"
"I think I speak for us both when I say that we're not fighters," Oolong responded.
"Yeah, I think we'll stay here," She agreed.
"Very well. I shall point you two towards the cave that these bandits are held up in. Upon your return we shall have a great feast prepared for your glory, and as thanks. Follow me."
Gabriel started out of the room, and Goku and I followed him to the street. He then pointed behind the building, towards the forest.
"The bandits are held up in a cave about a mile through the woods, if you would like, I'll have one of the villagers escort you," Mayor Gabriel told us.
"No thanks, I'll just call Nimbus to take us there," Goku smiled, then looked to the sky and placing his hands by his mouth to shout. "Nimbus!"
And within moments, the Flying Nimbus arrived for myself and Goku to set off on our way.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gabriel smiled to himself as he watched the two children fly off on their cloud. They certainly seemed like nice young people who were willing to help those in need. He respected that as he made his way back into his office where he found Bulma and Oolong still sitting in their chairs. He smiled at them, holding his golden pocket watch in his right hand for the time being as he sat down on his chair.
"So, tell me. What brought an interesting band of people such as yourselves together? A young woman, a pig, and two warrior children with monkey tails. I must admit I've never seen anything quite like it."
"The hunt for the Dragon Balls. I found out about them some time ago. I set out and was able to find one before I met up with Goku. We then set out together, where we soon were able to get two more before we met Oolong. After that we went through a desert and met a hunk named Yamcha, who gave us a car before we left the desert. Then we made our way to Fire Mountain where we gathered another Dragon Ball and Meiko joined us on our quest," Bulma informed the man, letting out a sigh after her speech.
"Hm, interesting. I take it you've been after them for some time now," As he spoke, he began to swing his golden watch back and forth in front of the two, whose eyes suddenly couldn't look away.

"
No need to worry now, your search is over. I'll take the Dragon Balls you already have," He grinned as the words oozed from his mouth, and Bulma reached in her bag, handing him four of the Dragon Balls she had already collected.
"Your donation is very kind. Now, see to it that our friends will return to a great feast. Don't worry, they'll be joining you soon enough."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Nimbus came to a slow, and then to a stop as we arrived at what had to be the cave. There didn't seem to be anyone around. We both leapt off of the Nimbus, and then tried to look into the cave.
"I can't see a thing!"
"Don't worry! Papa gave me some capsules before I set off to find Master Roshi."
I grabbed my bag off of my waist, and pulled out a capsule. I clicked it, and dropped it on the ground. A flashlight appeared, and I picked it up. I turned it on and shone it towards the cave. Goku looked at the light in confusion.
"It's a flashlight. Never seen one before?" I giggled, and then began to lead the way into the cave, my tail wagging behind me as Goku followed.
"I don't think anyone's here," Goku looked around, following the beam of the flashlight as we made our way into the cave.
There were spikes coming from the top of the cave, and I could hear water dripping off in the distance. I closed my eyes and listened closely. I opened them again, and stood still. I turned the beam towards a path.
"That way, here it? There's people down there," I whispered, "Close your eyes, I'm going to turn off the light and see if we can't catch them off guard."
I closed my eyes, shutting the flashlight off and putting it back in the bag. I then opened my eyes, and glanced to Goku. I tapped him on the shoulder, and whispered to him.
"You can open your eyes now."
He opened his eyes, then looked at me in disbelief, "It worked."
I smiled at him, then started towards the path, and could hear Goku following behind me. It took us a moment of traveling before light started to show up ahead. We then stopped just before we got there, and I glanced ahead.
Before us we saw a group of people, men and women and children alike, all scattered about. They looked hungry, beaten down, and. . Just miserable. Everyone's clothing was all torn up. My gut twisted, and I knew something was wrong.
I looked back at Goku, and then whispered to him, "I think Gabriel was lying. These people don't look like they want to hurt anybody. . . They look like they're the ones being hurt."
And with that, I walked out into the opening. Goku followed behind me, and we stopped in the middle of the cavern. One of the few men in the cavern approached us, his clothing was all torn apart. He looked scruffy, and dirty. His eyes were filled with concern.
"Did Gabriel send you?" He asked us. I nodded, and then he looked down, "I was wondering when he'd send someone else our way, but children? He must really be growing desperate to do away with us without getting his own hands dirty."
I tilted my head, and then began to ask him a question, but he began to speak before I could start my sentence.
"I'm Mayor Cage, or, at least I was. Before Gabriel showed up with that watch of his. I'm not quite sure of what his motives are, but he began to take over my town from under me. He used that watch to seemingly hypnotise people, cast them under his spell. They lose themselves, and begin to serve him. I'm not sure how, I just know that's the case," The man seemed very saddened by this.
"He. . He sent us here to capture you. . That won't be happening," I told him, and then I remembered, "We left Bulma and Oolong behind! What if he has them too!?"
"Your friends are probably already under his spell. He likely did it as soon as you left, and is planning on doing it to you now. I don't think we'd be able to get him head on," Cage told us.
"I won't let him get away with this! Bulma and Oolong are my friends!" Goku shouted out, starting to head back out the cave.
I grabbed onto his arm, and stopped him, "Wait. I have an idea."
He glanced back at me, and tilted his head.
"Cage, we need you for this one. We're going to trick him, bring you in so that we gain his trust. Then we'll spring the attack, and take the watch from him," That was my plan, and it was sure to work.
Cage glanced down, and nodded in agreement, "As for the rest of the people here? He's bound to ask about them."
"You surrendered before the fight even began. And everyone else promised to leave, and never come back."
"We'll have to try, if we want to get you your village back."

"Very well, let's go."

Interesting....

Only problem I see is that the colours of Meiko and Bulma's speech bubbles (so to speak) are too close to each other.

Chapter 5: The Two Star Dragon Ball.
Chapter 5: The Two Star Dragon Ball

We had begun our trek through the forest, heading back towards the village. Mayor Cage was between myself and Goku as we walked, as to make it seem like he was our prisoner when we'd arrive. Walking certainly wasn't as nice as using the Flying Nimbus, though it would give our legs a workout.

"
Did he offer you anything?" Cage asked as we continued forward.

Goku answered for us, "
He offered us food and a Dragon Ball."

"
I assume that the feast will be a trap, you two had better be careful. As for the Dragon Ball, once this is over, it'll be yours."

I nodded at him. We'd be back to the village soon enough, and there was little to dwell upon. Bulma and Oolong were in trouble, as was the rest of the village. And if Goku and I weren't careful, well. I'd hate to lose my own body to let someone else control it.

As we drew closer to the village, I saw that there was a noticeable amount of people walking around in a hurry. They must have been preparing this feast that Gabriel promised us before we left. I noticed that Cage was acting a little differently. Probably to play more along the role.

"
When we get back, I'll do the talking, okay?" I told Goku.

He seemed a little too honest for this to work. If Cage was truly telling us the truth, anyways. I didn't want us to blow this if it was our only shot at stopping whatever Gabriel was up to. And even if Cage was lying to us, then we at least had his trust for now anyways.

We then entered the village, and some of the people stopped to stare at Cage. Either Gabriel was telling the truth, or Cage whatever he was doing with that watch of his truly worked it's magic. I wasn't quite sure.

"Mayor Gabriel! They've arrived!" Someone shouted out, running into the town hall to fetch the Mayor.

The three of us stood there for a moment, and I looked around for Bulma and Oolong. They were not by the car waiting for us. In fact, they were nowhere to be seen. Strange. Maybe Cage wasn't lying after all. He was brave enough to come here on his own, at least.

Gabriel soon followed the man out of the Town Hall, and smiled when he laid his eyes upon us.

"
You did well, bringing him back and in one piece too! I imagine he didn't put up much of a fight. What of the rest of his little outfit?" The Mayor spoke as he made his way towards us, the golden watch of his still secured to his wrist.

"
There wasn't really a fight to be had, he took one look at us and said he gives up. He's had enough. He told the others to leave, and not to come look for him. He told them it was over," I answered.

Gabriel looked over to Goku, who nodded.

"
For a man who attacked us without relent, I find it hard to believe that you'd surrender to mere children. Hm, oh well. I'll have my cake and I will eat it too. You there," Gabriel pointed to a townsfolk, and spoke to him, "Take Cage to a cell. It's time for the feast!"

The town member walked over and grabbed Cage by the arm who glanced at us solemnly, and then followed the man. I looked back to Gabriel who smiled at us, and then waved his hand for us to follow him.

Myself, Goku, and several town members followed Mayor Gabriel as he entered the town hall. We followed him to the left of the receiving area, and down a hallway. I could smell tasty delicious food as we walked along, and I was almost beside myself with how much I wanted to eat it.

We passed two rooms before we passed through an opening. Before us was a table filled with nothing but food. It was all I could do to restrain myself from the temptation of just grabbing food and devouring it. Gabriel went towards the front, and sat down as Goku and I were seated on the other end.

"
To our guests of honor!" Gabriel lifted a glass high into the air. "You may feast!"

With that Gabriel drank from his glass, and Goku began to dig in. I blinked at him as he dug into his food like a starved animal. I smiled to myself, and began to eat my helping. As I ate, I looked around to see if Bulma and Oolong would show up. My eyes narrowed as I didn't see them anywhere.

The feast continued, and Goku ate like he had never eaten before. I ate through several plates, though not nearly as fast as Goku did. Before too long, Bulma showed up. . And she was delivering me my plate.

I looked at her, those blue eyes of hers had a far off look in her eyes. I turned my attention to Gabriel, tapping Goku on the shoulder.

"
Cage wasn't lying, Bulma's eyes. . . They're different," I whispered to him, "We need to act now."

I stood on my chair, my tail raising up to the hilt of my sword as I glared at Gabriel, "
Cage was right, you are putting people under a spell here!"

Gabriel simply smiled, before lifting his plate and tossing it through the air at me. I pulled my sword from the hilt with my tail and sliced through the plate as Gabriel ran out of the room, yelling for his men to get me and Goku. I leapt from the chair and landed on the ground as Goku pulled out his staff.

Some men ran into the room with various weaponry. One charged at me and swung his club at me, which I blocked it with my sword and then punched him in the gut, causing him to collapse. I saw a few men go after Goku and they all fell pretty much the same. A few more went after me and outnumbered me, and I lost track of Goku.

There were three of them, and one of me. Those odds weren't balanced at all. The three of them all ran towards me, swinging with a club, a knife. . . And a frying pan. I leapt into the air, bringing the hilt of my sword into the hand of the one holding the knife. All three of these guys were under Gabriel's control and I didn't want to hurt them all that badly.

He dropped his knife as I landed on the table, jumping off and kicking him in his face causing him to bounce off of the wall. The man with the frying pan came close to hitting me across the face, though he missed as I kicked his feet out from under him. As he fell, I punched him in the gut. He then laid there in pain as I jumped at the last attacker.

I slammed into his chest, and then rolled off of him out into the hallway. There wasn't anyone around, so I ran down the hallway and out of the Town Hall. I saw Goku fighting off two people when one got around behind him and managed to grab him by the tail. Goku's eyes widened with shock as he fell over, limp.

I rushed forth, and jumped at the fellow who had Goku by the tail. My foot slammed into his chest causing him to fall over and let go of Goku's tail. So, Goku hadn't trained his tail like I had? Hm. I'd have to change that.

I looked forward, and saw Gabriel near the lake. Goku had gotten back up and had ran after Gabriel when I felt a hand wrap around my tail. I turned around, and jumped up, punching the man in the jaw. He let go of my tail and flew a few feet backwards, landing upon the ground knocked out.

I then turned around back to Gabriel, and gasped. Goku was standing there, his eyes on Gabriel's watch. I sheathed the sword and ran as fast as I could, jumping and closing my eyes. I felt my foot hit, and heard and 'OOMF!' as I connected with Gabriel's chest. Opening my eyes, I caught the watch with my tail and then stood over Gabriel.

"
Tell me how to break the spell before I put you under it!" I shouted at him.

His eyes widened, and he raised his hands closing his eyes, "
Just turn it to midnight and everyone will be set free!"

I took the watch, and opened it. I grabbed the dial, and turned it back to twelve. I looked around at everyone as they looked at themselves in wonder, and then to me and Gabriel. Success. I decided to hold onto this watch of his, and wrapped it around my neck.

______________________________________________________________________________

Mayor Cage stood before myself, Goku, Oolong, and Bulma, smiling.

"
I must give you my utmost thanks as you have saved my village from that man's tyranny. You people are wonderful. Here, this is your's now," Cage handed me the Two Star Dragon Ball, and I held it closely.

I smiled at the man and nodded to him, "
You're welcome Mayor Cage."

Bulma got back into the car, along with Oolong and Goku. I shook the Mayor's hand before getting back into the car. The four of us waved as the car started again and we drove off, towards the last Dragon Ball. It would be a long trip towards this last ball, but we had six and the wish was soon at hand.

And that concludes Chapter 5. I intend on Chapter 6 being a longer Chapter, with various parts to it, so don't expect it for maybe two days.

Another great chapter. I'm a little worried that Meiko will be better than Goku at everything. I hope she doesn't walk over every obstacle. The Kamahameha thing was already a bit...likely to make readers lose interest.

Also there's an error. Bulma hands over four dragon balls. At the end the party should have five out of seven balls instead of being one away.

Goku has the Four Star Ball on his person. And you're absolutely right. Meiko's just a bit of a faster learner than he is. Plus, she was actually still with her 'Papa' and still learning things unlike Goku was. I will tone it down a bit, however.

My Apologies.
My Apologies
I am deeply sorry for this update, but it is important and needed. Upon looking back at this, and looking at some of my inconsistencies, I have decided that while the story's still young, I will hit it with a reboot and nerf Meiko.

I have realized that first person through the eyes of an eleven year old girl who has a tail and loves to fight and eat might not be the best of ideas, due to the fact that things aren't being described properly. Plus, with this being Dragon Ball, first person doesn't exactly work for something that is going to have a large amount of fighting.

I will have the redo of the first Chapter up sometime tomorrow. I also will not be deleting any of these posts.

The major mistake I made was having Meiko's first Kamehameha wave outshine Goku's. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I promise not to make that mistake again.

Another part of my errors was the fact that I'm thinking far too far ahead at the moment, and not thinking of the present.

I didn't start my research until the third chapter. For that, I apologize.

I really truly am sorry because a large amount of this is just my disappointment in myself and not feeling that this is something that I should be posting for people to read.

I will be linking to the other thread on here as soon as it's up.
