Little Varian was having a very normal day, a little boring but normal. Luckily he had his lollipop with him.

There was nothing special that day, nothing to indicate what was about to happen soon. The only thing that could be called "special" were the two brutes captured by the guards he had glimpsed, but nothing more.

So why was the Little Varian with a hideous giant rat in his bedroom? And why only could he see it ?!

Oh! Maybe it's his imaginary friend !?

"Ikit Claw no friend! Nobody friend of Ikit-Ikit Claw! Ikit Claw hate-hate everyone and everyone hate Ikit Claw, yes-yes!"
My Imaginary Friend!
It's incredible what the privation of the sleep and the abuse of Tea can do with my mind, i'm so FULL of ideas for MANY type of stories.... and i don't know if I will ever do everything! MUHAHAHAAHHAHAHHAHAH-ehm ehm.

Ehm... I had this idea for some time and recently i restarting to watch the series of Tangled, so i say: I don't know almost nothing of Warhammer fantasy but i LOVE the characters and i like Varian, hey! These two seems same, MAKE A STORY ABOUT THEM!

So yeah, i NEVER read a book about Warhammer Fantasy, i ONLY play the Total War games, the Vermintide and Chaos Bane so... i'm very sorry for every fans out there if i'm wrong with something.

Second: i'm not english, i will try to make Ikit more Skaven grammatical possible but i can't promise anyting, so sorry again.

BUT! I hope you enjoy it in any case.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH"

A very loud scream struck the eardrums of little Varian, the poor six-year-old boy tried in every way to talk to the creature in front of him, convinced that it was one of those imaginary friends that adults always talk about. Good children always have imaginary friends. Remembering this and with his eyes full of excitement and his snappy movements, he tried again.

"Hi, I'm Varian" Said the child raising both hands to greet or calm him, but like all other times a steel claw passed through his chest without even hurting him. The claw passed his chest as if trying to hit the mist, he could barely see the arm through him.

"Why-Why i can't kill-kill you!?!" The creature once again complained about his failed attempt to kill the child in front of him.

The creature could be described as a giant bipedal rat with dirty white fur, this strange creature was really singular because in addition to being giant and anthropomorphic, the creature wore what looked like a metal armor all along its body. The legs and arms were also covered with metal making it almost impossible to distinguish the crature, the only part of his body free was his face, which only had a metal mask and a strange green glass monocle on his left eye, which it was distinguished from the natural red eye.

"Because we are friends!" Said the little boy in front of the creature, with a huge smile on his face with his arms outstretched, as if he wanted to hug the giant rat trying to kill him.

"Ikit Claw no friend! Nobody friend of Ikit-Ikit Claw! Ikit Claw hate-hate everyone and everyone hate Ikit Claw, yes-yes!" Continuing to try to stab him with the claw of his child, the now known Ikit Claw spoke his words as if he were proud and incredibly proud.

"B-but you're here, with me!" Little Varian said in a hopeful voice, he wanted a friend, an imaginary friend like all good children. "You are my imaginary friend! We can be friends and play many games!"

"Ikit Claw not-not imaginary! Ikit real-real!" Ikit clapped his paws fiercely on the floor as he said this, he couldn't kill or maim the baby so he had to find an alternative. "Ikit not toy-toy for stupid human-thing! Ikit is-is Clan Skryre-NO! Skaven best-best inventor!" His last words were accompanied by his claw pointed at the child's face with its claw a few inches from his face.

Ikit Claw expected to find someone who was disappointed, scared, sad or anything else that would indicate that he had given up on his insane ideal of him. Instead, his last words lit up the child's eyes, lighting them up like stars accompanied by a huge smile.

"Do you create things too ?!" The boy said excitedly, before Ikit even spoke, little Varian rushed under his bed and pulled out a small chest. He carried the chest to the center of the room between two of its occupants and, with sheer excitement in his movements, opened the chest revealing its contents.

Ikit looked inside and what he saw made him quite strange, inside the case for the most part there were laboratory instruments of dubious origin mounted with branches and pieces of glass. But the rest of the case was made up of pages with simple scienitific formulas written that were clearly indicated for cosmetic uses or to eliminate bacteria from surfaces. Ikit wasn't impressed at all.

"See it?!" Little Varian started again. "I also create things. I design things. I study things." Naming item after item, Varian presented the rest of his content to Ikit.

"So?" Ikit Claw said, for once he was calm. "What-what does this mean?" Ikit's eyes, even the artificial one, were aimed at the boy's eyes, waiting for an answer to understand what was going on in the human-thing's head.

"It means we are the same! We both like to create things, we can create together and have fun together!" The boy, now with an even bigger smile on his face revealing his front teeth so similar to those of a rodent.
Seconds passed, neither of them moved in muscle and there was no noise at all. Varian fervently hoped that his imaginary friend would see how similar they were and agree to be with him. Seconds passed and Varian's smile began to falter as he believed he might have offended his friend.

"No!"

Ikit's sudden and strong voice brought him back to reality, and as his face was disfigured in a state of sadness with tears in his eyes, he saw Ikit walk towards the door of his room. Before Varian even uttered a sentence or a sob, Ikit quickly walked through the door and left.

Left alone, again, the poor boy began to cry. Tears of sadness, despair and pain began to wet his cheeks. His hands turned into fists that tried to wipe away the tears in his eyes and his mouth began to sob along with his snot runny nose.

"I don't want to be alone." The poor boy sobbed.

"ahhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" a distant scream that quickly grew louder distracted the child from his tears and before he noticed it a huge figure passed by the walls of his room like a ghost and crashed to the ground a few inches from the child.

"Ikit! You're back!" He yelled at the child with glee as he tried to wipe the tears and snot from his face as quickly as possible. He didn't want to make believe that he had been crying, big babies don't cry!

"You-You damn sorcerer!" Ikit got up very quickly and very nimbly considering his body shouldn't be made for this and his armor should prevent him from getting up. "You cursed me-me ?! You dare-dare curse the great Ikit Claw!?!"

Ikit was clearly in a fit of hysteria and fury, before Varian could even understand what he was talking about. Ikiti started hitting the boy with his claws .... to no avail.

Just as before, Ikit's claws passed harmlessly over the boy's body without even tickling the young inventor, after a full hour of assassination attempts and Varian trying to calm him down, Ikit eventually gave up and decided to stop.

"Why did you come back to Ikit? I thought you didn't want to be my friend ?!" Said the innocent child, believing that the rat had made a bad joke on him Varian took a position that his father usually took when he had to tell him that he had done something "wrong".

"Stupid man-thing-thing! I don't care about you-you! You dare cursed me-me and now i can't leave it! Free me at once!" Ikit, hysterically yelled at the poor boy, who hearing what he said made them grow a smile on his face.

"Or what?" Varian said condescendingly, he knew Ikit couldn't hurt him in any way. He was, after all, his imaginary friend.

Ikit was speechless, just as Varian knew of his possibilities, or rather, of his impossibilities! There was no point in threatening him, hurting him or trying to corrupt him. He couldn't escape the cursed man-thing-sorcerer had cursed him with who knows what magic.

Without any protest or threat from his friend, Varia jumped for joy across the room. "We are friends! We will play together, we will create things together, we will be the greatest creator friends in the world!" The boy, happy and unaware of the world, only noticed Ikit's disgustingly contrite face that he felt for his situation. And there was only one response to the child's happiness from the mouse.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
