Chapter-1 A Wonderful New World New
Douluo planet, Star Dou forest

The primitive forest of Star Dou is filled with ancient trees and lush foliage. It is also home to dangerous predators called soul beasts.

In the outer skirts of the jungle, one such spirit beast is fleeing for its life. Between the thick forest bushes, an ink-green serpent is slithering in quick motion from bush to bush, trying to find cover from its assaulting predator.

Swirling in the sky is a wind falcon spirit beast looking for the right moment to swoop in and attack the ink-green serpent.

Luckily, it could escape from the wind falcon spirit beast due to its quick thinking and hid itself in a small burrow in the bushes.

The Datura snake lay there in the bushes, and after a while, it flicked its tongue in the air for any signs of a wind falcon spirit beast.

After detecting no signs of the presence of the wind falcon, it slithered out of the bush. The appearance of the snake had ink-green scales, with the snake being 4 meters in length. But distinct from other kinds of its species, this snake had anthropomorphic traits; the serpent's eyes held wisdom, which made it unique because this snake housed a soul from a faraway world.

Wang Lin woke up in this serpent body a couple of hours ago. He couldn't quite remember what he was doing before waking up in this body.

It took a while for him to get used to this new body. A reptile's movement of slithering is completely different from walking on legs. When it came to senses, he was able to see the normal spectrum of visible light along with infrared, but his main method of perceiving the world was to sense the vibrations and scents with his tongue.

Just as he was getting used to this body, a floating screen appeared before his eyes.

He looked at the floating screen in wonder; it looked similar to a videogame inventory, with one of the grids glowing and all the others grayed out.

To test the function of the floating windows, he carried out a small experiment as he rested his reptilian head on a blade of bluish grass and willed it to appear in the glowing grid of the floating screen.

In a flash, the blade of blue grass disappeared, leaving some soil. Simultaneously, the image of grass appeared on Grid 1: Blue Silver Grass [1 year old].

Before he could check whether the floating window functioned as inventory by taking the grass out, the bright sun in the sky was blocked by a huge shadow. The shadow was cast on the ground, blocking the sun from reaching the place where Wang Lin lay.

Fearing for his life, Wang Lin scuttled into the nearest bush. Just as he moved, the sharp claws of the wind spirit falcon swooped in an attempt to catch Wang Lin's body. Luckily, he escaped by an inch due to his quick reaction.

Furious from missing its prey, the wind spirit falcon flapped its majestic wing and continued its pursuit. Wang Lin hid in the thick foliage and moved away from the wind falcon spirit beast, gaining some distance.

This cat-and-mouse chase continued for a while after some repeated unsuccessful attempts. The wind, a falcon spirit beast furious at losing sight of Wang Lin, released a shriek in indignation at the failure of the hunt, took off into the sky, and disappeared.

Wang Lin hid in the burrow, motionless. After a period of silent waiting, Wang Lin slowly emerged from the burrow, peeking for any signs of a wind falcon spirit beast.

After detecting the presence of no immediate threat, Wang Lin completely emerged from the forest and slithered towards the denser parts of the forest, fearing the return of the wind falcon spirit beast at any time.

He continued for a while without taking any rest. Unknowingly, the journey continued for a while. As the sun set in the sky, the forest took on a more sinister nature, with different sounds ringing in the air.

Tired of the grueling journey, Wang Lin stopped near a half-dead tree that looked like it had been burned by a lightning strike. He noticed a small opening in the tree and promptly entered.

After entering the opening, he saw a hollow den in the tree that was a couple of cubic meters wide. He lay there, recovering his energy. A couple of hours passed as he regained some vigor.

Just as things were looking good, the whole tree quaked in a violent motion. Fearing for his dear life, he lay in the pit of the hollow den, motionless. as he heard roars from outside the tree.

After a while, the tree stopped shaking. Curious about the situation outside, Wang Lin slowly peered into the darkness with his serpentine eyes.

As he surveyed the outside world, he saw a huge, grotesque spider-like beast with a human head dangling from its torso, consuming a deer-like beast with its flaps.

It devoured the poor little deer spirit beast as its blood was spraying all over the human-shaped head. It continued the feast. But suddenly, the man-faced demon spider turned its body in the direction of Wang lin.

For a moment, Wang Lin's soul left his body. Wang Lin thought he was done for good this time. The man-faced demon spider clicked its flaps in a frenzied manner as it dashed towards Wang Lin in a swift motion.

It quickly reached the tree where he was staying. Wang Lin's snake heart was racing madly in panic. Just as it was about to reach the tree, a huge behemoth of a beast dashed towards the man-faced demon spider and tackled it as they rolled away from the tree.

The beast looked like a lion with a red mane around its neck. As its paws rested on the torso of the man-faced demon spider holding it down, the man-faced demon spider retaliated, trying to pierce the Fire Mastiff through the neck with its grotesque, hairy legs.

Anticipating the attack, Fire Mastiff backed away from the man-faced demon spider. It stood a couple of meters from the man-faced demon spider as its mane lit up in fire. The fire mastiff bombarded the man-faced demon spider with a scorching fireball.

The man faced The demon spider and leaped away from the oncoming fireball using its abnormally long legs. Due to the size of the fireball, a portion of its torso was burned.

It dashed into the tree covering as Fire Mastiff chased behind it. Wang Lin stared in a daze as the whole debacle went on in front of him.

Wang Lin flicked his serpentine tongue in relief. He shifted his attention toward the cold corpse of the light deer spirit beast.

Chapter-2 Overpowered System New
Wang Lin's attention shifted toward the cold corpse of the light deer spirit beast. The fight between the man-faced demon spider and the fire mastiff kept other spirit beasts at bay.

Wang Lin had ample time to slither down from his tree to the nearby light deer corpse.

He stared at the corpse up close, quickly taking in its scent and the warmth still emitting from it. The smell of blood awakened a primal hunger in his body.

After all the chasing and hiding, he was tired. He didn't want to waste such an easy source of food, so he decided to store the light deer spirit beast's corpse in his inventory to eat at his leisure. He was aware that beasts might catch the smell of blood in the air and attack him.

The roars of beasts like the fire mastiffs would only keep them at bay for a while. Without the aura of the fire mastiff present, other creatures would soon come sniffing for easy pickings. He had to quickly store the corpse, so he opened his system.

He looked at the glowing square containing the blue silver grass he had stored a few hours ago. He noticed something different. The size of the blue silver grass now compared to when he first stored it was completely different.

The image of the blue silver grass in front of him was lusher and thicker than before. Upon closer observation, he noticed a number dangling at the edge of the glowing grid: **Age: 544**.

As he stared at it, something finally clicked. He understood why only one space was available for storage. Calling his system an "inventory" was an understatement—his storage was more than that. Anything stored in his system increased in age.

Considering when he had stored the blue silver grass, approximately five hours had passed. For every hour, the blue silver grass grew older. In one day, 1,000 years of growth would occur; in a month, 30,000 years, and in a year, 365,000 years.

Now that he understood the real function of the system, he knew he could use it to his advantage. But now wasn't the time to think about that—he needed to avoid becoming some random spirit beast's meal.

He quickly removed the blue silver grass from the system and stored the light deer spirit beast's corpse.

Wang Lin flicked his tongue into the air, picking up traces of scents and searching for a way out from where the battle had taken place. He turned toward the direction that had the fewest traces of beasts.

Just as he was about to set off, he noticed the fishy smell coming from the blue silver grass he had just discarded. The scent was similar to his own, with a grassy touch. Fearing that this would leave traces, Wang Lin quickly swallowed the blades of blue silver grass and set off in his chosen direction.

Hours passed as he continued moving without rest. Eventually, he began to feel strange. His body felt lethargic, and a swelling sensation overtook his stomach, as if he was going to throw up. The only thing he remembered eating was the blue silver grass, and he knew snakes weren't herbivores.

His stomach's contents were expelled reflexively. What he threw up was the remains of the blue silver grass, though now there were only a few blades left.

After vomiting, Wang Lin felt a little better. To recover, he burrowed into a nearby anthill and called up his system.

The changes in the system were immediately apparent. His age had jumped from 476 to 513, and the bright light deer's age had increased by an additional 400 years. While the growth of the bright light deer could be attributed to the system's special properties, the increase in his own age was due to the blue silver grass. He now understood that consuming it caused his biological age to increase.

However, the increase in age didn't cause any noticeable changes in his body, likely because the amount of growth was too small.

The past few hours of his new life had been filled with ordeals. At every turn, he faced life-threatening danger in this ruthless jungle, where death could strike at any moment.

Deciding to take refuge in the anthill, Wang Lin resolved to stay hidden until he was stronger. Only then would he have a chance to survive this harsh environment.

But there was a problem: sustenance. Both food and water were critical for survival.

Wang Lin could only make do with the bright light deer stored in his system. He began a long period of hibernation, his body's functions slowing down. Periodically, he would wake to quench his hunger and thirst by drinking mouthfuls of the bright light deer's blood.

With each awakening, the amount of blood he drank decreased, but each portion contained more energy than the last.

This cycle of blood drinking and hibernation continued for two months. Unknown to him, his body grew from 4 meters to 10 meters, and his scales changed from ink green to pink.

Chapter-3 The Destined Meeting New
Wang Lin's scales began a molting process; his ink-green scales shed, revealing bright pink scales underneath. As his 10-meter-long body shrank to just 1 meter, it emitted a brilliant burst of light.

Upon awakening from his slumber, right after completing his metamorphosis, Wang Lin promptly accessed his system menu.

The system data displayed remarkable changes. Although he couldn't track the passage of days and nights while he was asleep, he estimated he had spent a few months in hibernation.

Over a short period, he had aged from 400 years to 1000 years. The most astonishing development was the Bright Light Deer's growth; it increased from a mere 1000 years to 60 thousand years within those few months.

This transformation was made possible by consuming dense, enriched blood, which grew more potent with each passing moment.

However, he noticed that, despite his increased age, he was smaller than when he was 400 years old. Additionally, his scales had changed to a bright pink hue.

Two new storage spots had become available. He assumed these would unlock automatically over time.

Driven by the desire to make the most of the opportunity, he was eager to venture into the forest. Every moment his storage spots remained empty meant losing potential gains.

Without hesitation, he emerged from the anthill, filled with newfound vigor and the hope of advancing his age.

He used his keen senses to detect odor molecules in the air and quickly identified his target—a pink-colored rabbit.

The rabbit hopped around, grazing on the delicious blue-silver grass while remaining vigilant.

Wang Lin stealthily stalked the soft-boned rabbit, slithering through the shadows of the trees. He positioned himself among a cluster of flowers to camouflage his presence.

The unsuspecting rabbit continued grazing, oblivious to the danger. Wang Lin lay in wait, ready to strike and inject his venom.

As the rabbit moved closer to the dazzling flower, it came within reach of the pink-scaled serpent. Wang Lin sank his fangs into the rabbit's torso and injected one-third of his venom.

The rabbit went into a frenzy, kicking wildly and sending Wang Lin in a random direction before darting away in the opposite direction.

Wang Lin was flung into the sky, crashed into the trunk of a tree, and then fell to the ground. The impact and fall caused him considerable pain.

It took him a while to recover and resume his pursuit. Once the venom was injected, unless the prey was exceptionally strong, it was bound to die eventually.

Thus, the rabbit's struggle was in vain. Wang Lin tracked the traces left by the rabbit and continued his pursuit.

---

At the outer perimeter of the Star Dou Forest, a group of spirit masters gathered around the serpent's corpse. The serpent had a crest on its head and a pair of wings encircling its neck. Oscar sat in front of the Phoenix Tail Crest Serpent, absorbing its purple spirit ring. The Shrek team, along with Zhao Wuji, stood guard around Oscar, recovering from the energy expended in the previous battle.

After absorbing the spirit ring, Oscar's physical stature grew, and three spirit rings—two yellow and one purple—hovered around him.

"Congratulations, Oscar, on obtaining a year spirit ring for your third ring. Not every spirit master can acquire a thousand-year spirit ring at rank 30," Zhao Wuji said.

"Oscar, what ability did you gain from your third ring?" Dai Mubai asked.

"I'll tell you about my third spirit ring ability, but you have to promise not to laugh," Oscar pleaded.

Everyone around him nodded in agreement, except for Tang San, who was meditating to recover his energy.

Oscar closed his eyes as the purple spirit ring hovered before him and chanted, "Your father, I have a mushroom sausage."

The group burst into laughter at the chant. As they laughed, Tang San woke from his meditation and, upon hearing the laughter, looked around in confusion.

"What's going on? Why is everyone laughing?" Tang San asked, puzzled.

Just as Ma Hongjun was about to explain, a pink furball dashed into the center of the group. Distracted by their laughter, even Zhao Wuji, a level 70 spirit master, didn't notice the soft-boned rabbit that had escaped from Wang Lin and was heading straight toward them.

As the group noticed the strange furball, they quickly adopted a defensive stance. A black spirit ring hovered in front of Zhao Wuji, and the gravity around the soft-boned rabbit intensified, pinning it flat against the ground as it struggled to rise.

"It's just a soft-boned rabbit; there's nothing to worry about," Tang San said, trying to ease the tension.

With his words, the atmosphere relaxed somewhat. Zhao Wuji lifted his gravity ability.

The soft-boned rabbit struggled to stand, its body battered by the intense gravity and the venom coursing through it. Its breathing was faint, and it seemed close to death.

"Sister Wu, isn't this spirit beast the same as your martial spirit?" Ma Hongjun inquired.

"It is indeed the same as my martial spirit. It's quite pitiful and looks like it might die at any moment," Xiao Wu replied, gazing at the soft-boned rabbit with sympathy.

"Oscar, could you give me a recovery sausage? I promise I won't laugh at your incantation anymore," Xiao Wu requested.

"You don't need to ask, Sister Wu," Oscar said, producing a recovery sausage and handing it to Xiao Wu.

Xiao Wu promptly fed it to the soft-boned rabbit. Its breathing soon stabilized, and Xiao Wu cradled it gently in her arms.

"Third brother, look at this poor rabbit. Can we keep it as a pet?" Xiao Wu asked with a compassionate look.

"We'll worry about keeping it as a pet later. For now, let's deal with the beast that was chasing it," Zhao Wuji said, turning toward the darkness of the forest where a pair of scarlet eyes glared back at them.

In response, Tang San and his group turned in the direction Zhao Wuji was facing. Tang San activated the Purple Demon Eye in his pupil's was the reflection of a bright pink snake—the very snake he had initially hunted for his first spirit ring: the Datura Snake.

Chapter-4 Perilous Predicament New
Tang San was able to quickly identify the pink-scaled Datura snake with the help of his Purple Demon Eyes, even though it was quite far away.

"Teacher Wuji, it's a Datura snake. From its size and color, it must be at least 1,000 years old," warned Tang San.

"Xiao San, you have better perception than me. I can't even tell what kind of spirit beast it is. If it's only a thousand-year-old spirit beast, there's no danger."

"Mubai, kill it. We'll have roasted snake for dinner," instructed Zhao Wuji.

"Teacher, can I fight it?" asked Tang San.

"Hoho, Xiao San, you also want roasted snake, huh?" bellowed Zhao Wuji.

"No, teacher. I want to hunt the Datura snake for my third spirit ring," replied Tang San.

"Crafty Xiao San, if you wanted to eat roasted snake that badly, you should have just asked. No need to lie to your teacher," said Zhao Wuji.

"Teacher Zhao, I reached 30 soul power after the battle with the Phoenix-Tail Crest Serpent. I need a third spirit ring. Since we're already in Star Dou Forest, it's better if we get it now. That Datura snake looks old enough for my spirit ring," said Tang San.

"I remember Master teaching me that the ideal third spirit ring should be between 1,300 and 1,800 years old, and the Datura snake matches the attributes of my Blue Silver Grass," added Tang San.

"Xiao San, how old are you?" asked Zhao Wuji.

"I turned 12 a couple of months ago, teacher," replied Tang San.

"Damn, I thought Oscar was a monster for reaching Soul Elder at 13, but for you to reach it at 12—you're a monster among monsters!" said Zhao Wuji.

"You are the youngest Soul Elder in the whole Heaven Dou Empire. Good, if you want the snake for your spirit ring, go ahead. I'll eat something else for dinner."

Tang San marched toward Wang Lin after getting permission from Zhao Wuji, with hidden weapons in hand.

Wang Lin POV

Wang Lin followed the tracks of a Soft-Boned Rabbit until they came to a dead end. Along with the rabbit, there were eight other distinct scents in the area.

Their silhouettes vaguely resembled humans from a distance, but Wang Lin couldn't make an accurate judgment.

His presence startled the group, as he saw them stop whatever they were doing and simultaneously turn in his direction using his infrared vision.

As he considered his next move, one of them began walking toward him.

Quickly, Wang Lin turned to escape, but before he could get far, the grass around him sprang up like a serpent, winding around him and trapping him in place.

He thrashed desperately, trying to break free, but the Blue Silver Grass only tightened its hold.

As Wang Lin struggled, he saw something fly out of the hand of the person approaching him.

Tang San's hidden weapon struck Wang Lin with precision, pinning him to a tree and cutting off any chance of escape. He hung there, limp and trapped.

Tang San inched closer, and as he neared, Wang Lin mustered all his remaining strength to spray venom at Tang San's eyes in one final attempt.

Unfortunately for Wang Lin, Tang San had predicted the attack with his Purple Demon Eyes, dodging swiftly out of the venom's path and releasing another dart.

The second dart pierced Wang Lin just below his neck, further restricting his movement.

"I guess this is how I die for the second time. Well, I won't go alone. I'll take you with me, you bastard," Wang Lin hissed in fury. Yellow venom dripped from his fangs, and green blood flowed from his wounds, painting a gruesome sight.

Tang San stood motionless before the tree where Wang Lin was pinned, a dart in hand aimed at Wang Lin's head.

"Teacher Zhao, even though it's mutated, based on the length of this Datura snake, it's under 1,200 years old. You said I should be able to withstand something older with my physique," said Tang San.

He stared at the Pink Datura Snake for a while.

"Xiao San, now's not the time to worry about that," said Dai Mubai.

Confused, Tang San turned to see the Shrek team taking cover behind Zhao Wuji, who was surrounded by seven spirit rings. Before them stood a massive beast, towering a hundred meters tall—the Titan Giant Ape, a mythological spirit beast over 100,000 years old.

The Titan Giant Ape loomed over the trees of Star Dou Forest, casting a shadow over the Shrek group. It released an ear-shattering roar, pounding its chest and the ground beneath it.

The Titan Ape's roar sent shockwaves through the forest, causing all nearby spirit beasts to flee in terror.

Trees were uprooted as the ground shook with the force of the titan's movements.

In the midst of this chaos, Tang San reached the Shrek group, and together they took a defensive position behind Zhao Wuji.

"Oscar, give everyone your flying sausages. Xiao San, cover their escape. I'll hold the Titan Ape off for a while," ordered Zhao Wuji.

The Titan Giant Ape swung its enormous arm toward the group. Zhao Wuji activated his Spirit Avatar, momentarily blocking the blow, but the sheer force broke through.

The Shrek Seven barely had time to eat the sausages as they scattered in all directions.

Tang San used his Blue Silver Vines to pull team members who were too close to danger into the air.

Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing took cover in a pit, while Oscar and Ning Rongrong hid behind a giant boulder.

Tang San held Ma Hongjun with his Blue Silver Vines while swinging Xiao Wu into the air, away from the flying debris.

As Xiao Wu soared through the air, the Titan Giant Ape's massive hand reached out, capturing her in its grasp.

"NO! Xiao Wu!" cried Tang San as he watched in horror.

He attacked immediately, with Zhao Wuji also releasing his spirit abilities, but the Titan Giant Ape swatted their attacks away effortlessly.

With a powerful leap, the Titan Giant Ape crossed a vast distance, disappearing into the forest with Xiao Wu in its hand, leaving the Shrek team behind.

Chapter-5 New Life New
Wang Lin POV
Wang Lin came to terms with the end of his life as he gazed at the dart that resembled the ones nailing his body to the wood.

However, death didn't come as quickly as expected. Curiously, he looked at his killer for any clues. At close range, the teenager seemed to be deep in thought, standing there in a daze.

Wang Lin's life hung by a thread as the seconds ticked by. He observed the teenager through a foggy mind, feeling death approach.

Behind the teenager, Wang Lin noticed a massive heat signature clouding the other heat signatures emitted by the group.
The heat signature resembled a humanoid figure, filling his vision. The beast began rampaging, sending dust and debris flying around it.

Just when Wang Lin thought he might escape death at the hands of the human group, the titanic beast pummeled the ground, causing an earthquake. The immense force sent trees flying, including the one holding Wang Lin. It was uprooted entirely and flung towards the core region of the Star Dou Forest.

This massive force hurled the nearly dying Wang Lin into unconsciousness as he was flung along with the tree, which hit the ground after several long seconds.

When the tree landed, the impact dislodged the hidden weapons that had pinned Wang Lin to it. He lay beside the tree, with his puncture wounds bleeding.

Time passed, and Wang Lin regained consciousness, observing his surroundings with a bloodied body.
He looked at his bleeding wounds, dazed, searching for any solution that might save his life. If he didn't act quickly, he might not live to see the sunrise.

The only thing that came to his mind was the system.

The only possible help was the Bright Light Deer. Wang Lin summoned it from the system.
Lying before him was the corpse of the beast, larger than it was when it died. Its vibrant hide reflected all the light shining upon it, a magnificent sight when it had been alive.

But now, it lay dead with a mutilated torso and its guts spilled, yet no visible blood. All of the deer's blood had been consumed during hibernation.

The blood of the spirit beast had a nourishing effect. Consuming it increased Wang Lin's vigor, and according to the system panel, frequent consumption increased his age.

If an increase in age also meant an increase in strength, it would be an ideal way to grow stronger by consuming other spirit beasts.

To Wang Lin's disappointment, there was no more blood for him to consume. He had rationed all the blood during his hibernation. His snake physiology prevented him from directly consuming the flesh. If he tried, it would be fatal.
So, he did the only thing he could. He entered the gutted opening in the torso of the corpse and slithered towards its chest.
After quite a struggle, he reached the heart of the beast. Sinking his serpentine teeth into it, he made a small hole in the heart and entered the chambers that held the last bit of blood.

He plunged into the blood headfirst and drank all the remaining essence, unknowingly consuming the most potent blood of the Bright Light Deer—blood from a 60,000-year-old spirit beast.

As soon as the blood essence entered his body, his wounds healed, and new scales grew in place of the old ones. His size increased from one meter to three meters.

In a matter of minutes, he transformed from a dying state to one of renewed vigor.

Tang San POV
"This can't be happening. It should have been me, not Xiao Wu. If only I had been faster, if only I had been stronger," Tang San thought, guilt and regret clouding his mind.

Tang San attacked the Titan Giant Ape with his Zhuge Crossbow, but the ape swatted the arrows away effortlessly.
The Titan Giant Ape left with Xiao Wu in its hands, her helpless expression burning into Tang San's heart as it disappeared, leaving only destruction in its wake.

Without a second thought, Tang San ran after it, driven by nothing but impulse, but Zhao Wuji stopped him.
"Xiao San, get yourself together! You can't rescue her if you blindly follow without a plan," Zhao Wuji said in a reprimanding tone.

He turned to the Shrek group. "Everyone, recover your strength. We'll move camp and plan the rescue."
"Oscar, if you think of me as a brother, give me some mushroom sausages," Tang San whispered to Oscar without anyone else hearing.

"Xiao San, you know it's foolish to go after the Titan Giant Ape. Teacher Zhao said we'd make a plan for the rescue," Oscar replied.

"Oscar, would you say the same thing if someone from your family was abducted? I need to go after Xiao Wu, even if it costs me my life. If I survive, I'll remember this favor," Tang San said, determination in his voice.
With a sigh, Oscar chanted his vulgar incantation without alerting anyone else and handed Tang San a couple of flying mushroom sausages.

Tang San ate the mushroom sausages and dashed in the direction the Titan Giant Ape had gone. The Shrek group and Zhao Wuji were shocked. Zhao Wuji sprinted after him, but just as he was about to reach him, a pink glow enveloped Tang San—a speed boost from Ning Rongrong's Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda martial spirit. The second ring's speed boost was activated, and Tang San disappeared into the forest.

"You reckless fool!" Zhao Wuji roared at both Oscar and Ning Rongrong. "Do you have any idea how dangerous this forest is? Anything could kill him in an instant!"

Grumbling, Zhao Wuji muttered, "Flender will kill me if I return with two missing people, especially with the Clear Sky Douluo's son…"

He clenched his fists in frustration. "Give me one of those sausages! Let's follow him. If we die, we'll die together."
The Shrek group ate their flying mushroom sausages and followed behind Tang San, unaware they were heading toward a familiar pink snake hiding inside a corpse.

Chapter-6 Killing your killer New
Tang San moved through the forest in a frantic manner, dodging branches and the occasional spirit beast. The ethereal wings made of light on his back dimmed in glow and disappeared after traveling some distance.

He took another mushroom sausage from his 24 Bridges Moonlit Belt, which sprouted a new pair of wings, and continued his pursuit of the Titan Giant Ape that held Xiao Wu hostage.

"Nothing can happen to you, Xiao Wu. I will rescue you, even at the cost of my life," Tang San reassured himself.

Wang Lin's POV

The potent blood essence of the 60,000-year-old Bright Light Deer was more than enough to heal his wounds. He recovered from his injuries while lying in the inner cavity of the Bright Light Deer.

The pressure and aura emanating from the ten-thousand-year-old beast kept most spirit beasts at bay. However, not every beast is intimidated by the aura of a ten-thousand-year-old beast, especially one that is dead.

The bloody smell in the air attracted one such spirit beast, and a sinister atmosphere began to grow. The noise of clattering sounded near the corpse of the Bright Light Deer, akin to bones rubbing against each other. A Man-Faced Demon Spider appeared from the shadows, vigilantly surveying the area for any other presence near the corpse.

It approached the corpse without delay after detecting no other presence. The Man-Faced Demon Spider appeared to be around 2,500 years old and resembled others of its species. However, there was something unique about this particular spider. Its torso and human-shaped head seemed to be partially melted on one side, likely from some kind of burn attack.
The spider began to savor the meat of the deer spirit beast, both it and Wang Lin being unaware of each other's presence.

One was too immersed in devouring a beast far more powerful than itself, which would increase its strength, while the other was healing from life-threatening wounds.

A momentary peace settled in the area. Before either could become aware of the other, another party disturbed this tranquility: the one madly running through the forest in search of his beloved.

Tang San used up the last of the mushroom sausage after its effect wore off and continued his pursuit on foot. He navigated around spirit beasts, dodging them with his nimble Ghost Perplexing Shadow skill and his reconnaissance from his Purple Demon Eyes.

However, his good luck seemed to run out after a while, and he found himself face-to-face with the Man-Faced Demon Spider that was eating a corpse. Disturbed from its meal, the spider turned to look at Tang San with fury in its eyes. It lunged toward him with its eight legs, trying to make him its next meal.

Reacting quickly, Tang San moved with utmost concentration, knowing that every second was vital for the rescue of Xiao Wu. He deployed Blue Silver Vines beneath the spider to stop its momentum in the air. As it dropped to the ground, he took out his Zhuge Crossbow and fired projectiles toward the spider.

Startled by the vines, the Man-Faced Demon Spider fell to the ground, but it was able to deflect most of the arrows that came toward it with its numerous legs. It deflected all but one of the arrows, which slipped through the gaps in its legs and lodged into its skull. However, because of its thick carapace, the arrow penetrated only a short distance. The spider quickly escaped from its bindings and dashed toward Tang San with full force.

When it was close enough, Tang San held a hammer in his hand: his second spirit, the Clear Sky Hammer, one of the top weapon spirits. He threw the Clear Sky Hammer upwards into the sky, with Blue Silver Vines attached to it. The hammer flew up across the branches of the tree above his head, and as it came down with its weight, it pulled Tang San up along with the Blue Silver Grass.

The Man-Faced Demon Spider, with its full momentum, smashed into the tree and paused for a moment, dizzy from the impact. Hanging from the tree, Tang San dropped as the Clear Sky Hammer disappeared from his grasp and reappeared in his hands once again.

Taking advantage of the disoriented Man-Faced Demon Spider, Tang San swung the Clear Sky Hammer with full force and struck the arrow lodged in its head. With the weight of the hammer and the force behind it, the arrow shot through the spider's skull and exited from the other side.

Before the creature could understand how it was killed, it lay dead, a gaping hole in its body. Tang San took a moment to gather himself. Before he could continue his pursuit of Xiao Wu, a purple spirit ring emerged near the corpse of the Man-Faced Demon Spider.

Tang San looked at the purple spirit ring and reminded himself why Xiao Wu had been abducted: because he was weak. He took a meditative position and started absorbing the spirit ring as it was pulled toward him.

While he was absorbing the spirit ring, there was a momentary disturbance from the corpse of the Bright Light Deer spirit beast. Wang Lin emerged from the carcass, unaware of the commotion that had taken place outside.

The first thing he noticed upon exiting was the presence of other beings nearby. Vigilantly, he scanned the air for more details. He recognized a familiar odor, one he had encountered before. Quickly, he identified the smell as belonging to Tang San.

Upon locating the source of the scent, he saw Tang San in a meditative position next to the dead Man-Faced Demon Spider. Wang Lin quickly recognized the teenager who had tried to kill him and the spider that had fought against the Fire Mastiff, identifiable by the burn marks on its torso.

He slithered toward Tang San and crawled in front of him, taking a closer look at the killer who had once tried to take his life. As he opened his mouth, venom dripped from his fangs, falling to the ground and melting the soil into a goopy mess.
Wang Lin took a position to strike, gathering momentum for his next move.

Chapter-7 Mercy of the Weak New
As Wang Lin was about to attack, he backed off. Tang San was struggling to absorb the spirit ring that reached the limit he could bear.

"Even though you attacked me unwarranted, I can't kill a human just because you tried to kill me," Wang Lin decided against killing a human

Wang Lin looked at Tang San once again to remember his face and then shifted his attention toward the Man-Faced Demon Spider.

The space in his system remained empty, so he stored the corpse of the Demon Spider in his system.

"Thank you for the gift. Next time we meet, I will definitely repay you," Wang Lin spoke, but all that came out were a couple of hisses.

Before he could spend any more time, he heard sounds of activity in the distance. At the speed it was moving toward them, they would reach in a couple of minutes.

He slithered toward the corpse of the Bright Light Deer and stored it in his system.

Wang Lin made a quick escape from the area and moved toward the core of the Star Dou Forest.

**Tang San's POV**

The Shrek group and Zhao Wujii arrived at the location where Tang San was absorbing the ring.

They sighed in relief upon finding Tang San with no visible harm.

"Teacher Zhao, Xiao San seems to be absorbing a spirit ring, but I don't find any corpse of a spirit beast nearby," said Dai Mubai.

"Even though there is no corpse, look at the purple blood on the ground. There should have been a corpse here," replied Oscar.

"We should be thankful that whatever took the corpse of the beast left Xiao San alone without attacking," said Zhao Wuji. "We will move out from this place as soon as Xiao San finishes absorbing the spirit ring."

They gathered around Tang San and stood guard while he absorbed the spirit ring. As time passed, Tang San seemed to struggle more.

The nerves on his forehead bulged with pressure, and his skin turned red. As the sun rose in the sky, Zhao Wuji began to worry; Tang San seemed to struggle more.

"What if Xiao San absorbed a spirit ring that crossed the limit?" said Ma Hongjun.

"Mubai, how much time has passed since we separated from Xiao San?" asked Zhao Wujii.

"Teacher, more than six hours have passed since we were attacked by the Titan Giant Ape," said Oscar.

"We will wait a couple more hours. If Xiao San doesn't wake up, I will forcefully stop his ring absorption process. It may injure his martial spirit, but it is better than dying," said Zhao Wuji.

Time passed with no result, as Tang San struggled, his veins bulging and blood streaming down his nose.

"I should stop the absorption; it would be too late to do anything later," said Zhao Wuji as he walked toward Tang San.

There was a rustling sound near their camp. Everyone turned their attention to the source of the noise.

Emerging from the darkness was Xiao Wu, holding the Pink Bone Rabbit in her bosom. She walked with a worried look on her face as she glanced at Tang San.

"Teacher, what happened to my brother, and why is there blood all over his body?" asked Xiao Wu.

Everyone's face reflected surprise upon seeing Xiao Wu alive.

"Xiao San decided to absorb a spirit ring after escaping from the group to rescue you. We think he might have absorbed a spirit ring older than his body could bear."

"We were thinking of forcefully stopping the absorption process. But Xiao Wu, how is it that you are here when the Titan Giant Ape took you into the forest?" questioned Zhao Wujii.

"I don't know, Teacher. One second I was in the grip of the Titan Giant Ape, then I heard a roar from deep inside the forest. The Titan Giant Ape dropped me halfway and ran away by itself," replied Xiao Wu, guilt evident on her face.

"If you heard a roar from the core of the Star Dou Forest, it must be the Great Beast Azure Bull Python; only it could scare away the Titan Giant Ape," said Zhao Wuji.

"Whatever the reason, it's good that you are safe, Xiao Wu. Everyone was worried about you," said Ning Rongrong, embracing Xiao Wu.

"I'm safe, but because of me, my brother is in danger. Please don't die, brother," said Xiao Wu, tears in her eyes.

Tang San, who was struggling to absorb the spirit ring, began to stabilize and finished absorbing the ring a couple of minutes after hearing Xiao Wu's voice.

When Tang San woke up, he gazed at Xiao Wu the moment he opened his eyes. He rose to his feet and took Xiao Wu in his embrace, frantically apologizing for not protecting her.

Upon seeing that Tang San was safe, everyone came together for a group embrace.

"You bastard! Do you not care for my words? You rebellious student! Why did you run away, and why did you risk absorbing a spirit ring over 2,000 years old?" yelled Zhao Wuji in fury.

"I'm sorry, Teacher. All I could think of in that moment was rescuing Xiao Wu. Please forgive me. How about this: you can keep all the snake meat for dinner," said Tang San.

"Do you think it's time for dinner now?" said Zhao Wuji, pointing at the rising sun.

"But, Senior Zhao, where do you think the snake that Xiao San fought is? I also wanted to eat it! Just imagine the taste of a roasted snake with a little spice; just the thought of it is making my mouth water!" asked Ma Hongjun.

"How would I know? It must be buried under all the debris that the Titan Giant Ape flipped over," replied Zhao Wuji, holding Ma Hongjun's head in his grip.

"The adventures we had in a couple of hours are more than enough for this trip. Let's pack up and go back to the academy," said Zhao Wuji as they set out toward Shrek Academy.

Unknown to them, the meal they were talking about was hunting a plump poisonous frog for its next meal.

Chapter-8 Hundred Thoudsand Year Old Spirit Beast New
Wang Lin lurked in the branches of the tree, observing a golden frog from a distance.

The frog was basking in the sun with its eyes closed on a lotus leaf floating in the pond.

After observing the frog for a while, Wang Lin slithered down from the tree and entered the pond without alerting it.

He swam under the water, hiding below the lotus leaf. He waited for an opportune moment to attack, keeping his sight on the shadowy silhouette of the frog on the lotus leaf.

He inched closer to the golden metal frog, unhinged his jaw, sank his fangs in, and injected venom into its body.

The golden metal frog didn't last long. Wang Lin wanted to store the corpse in his system, but there was no space available. So he swam to the bank of the pond and swallowed the frog whole. This was the first thing he ate after waking up in this body.

The raw flesh of animals didn't seem to affect him that much. It had been two months since becoming a snake, even though most of it was spent sleeping.

Wang Lin, sunning himself by the pond after his meal, thought about what to do next.

He was tired of playing cat-and-mouse games. All he needed was time and the corpses of animals to grow stronger.

Venturing into the Star Dou Forest could turn perilous at any time, so he needed a secure place to grow stronger.

While lost in thought, an idea sparked in his mind: not only animal corpses but also plants could help him grow stronger. The blue silver grass he had eaten seemed to increase his age. Although he couldn't digest it fully, it had still added a couple of years to his age on the panel.

So he decided to test whether this was feasible. He searched his surroundings and quickly found a plant with flowers at the top. He slithered over, wrapped himself around its stem, and pulled it from the ground, its roots resembling those of ginseng.

he opened the on-hook panel.
On Hook Panel:
  • Name: Wang Lin
  • Attribute: Poison
  • Age: 3,923 years
  • Grid 1: Bright Light Deer (62k years)
  • Grid 2: Man-Faced Demon Spider (3k years)
  • Grid 3: Locked
But all the available slots were occupied, so he had no other choice but to take out the Man-Faced Demon Spider, dump it in the pond, and place the ginseng in his second slot.

He waited for the ginseng to grow in age so he could test his hypothesis. While he waited, he observed the pond as spirit beasts came to drink the water.

Wang Lin wanted to make the pond his base. The pond's location was in a narrow valley with an entrance allowing only small spirit beasts to pass.

So he devised a plan to slowly poison the waters of the pond to keep away the spirit beasts that came looking for water.

Wang Lin slithered toward the pond and sank into its depths, lurking as he released his poison frequently into the waters of the pond.

Two Months Later
The pond in the valley turned green; all the vegetation near the pond had wilted away. Small spirit beast skeletons lay around the pond. The area was eerily silent, the poisoned pond water still and without waves.

Breaking the water's stillness, air bubbles emerged to the surface, followed by the head of a monstrous ten-meter-long, four-meter-wide snake with purple scales.

In the past two months, Wang Lin had undergone a mind-blowing transformation, growing significantly in size.

On Hook Panel:

  • Grids Available: 4
  • Items: Bright Light Deer (122k years), Spirit Ginseng (60k years), Ghost Wolf (36k years), Man-Faced Demon Spider (6k years)
Although cumbersome to digest, the spirit ginseng allowed him to gain years of progress from small bites, unlike spirit beast corpses, which disappeared after consumption. The spirit ginseng could recover its size after some time in the system.

In just four months, Wang Lin had grown from a measly 100-year-old spirit beast to a 20,000-year-old one. After reaching and crossing the 10,000-year mark, his size stabilized at ten meters. His pink scales molted and turned purple.

Astonishingly, he unlocked two new spots in the system, which he filled with a Ghost Wolf spirit beast that wandered near the valley, along with the Man-Faced Demon Spider. The Bright Light Deer had also reached the 100,000-year mark with no signs of slowing down.

The poison he released in these two months had increased in potency compared to the beginning, polluting the pond water and diverting all potential spirit beasts that came looking for water.

Wang Lin grew bored of the monotonous routine of the past two months, so he wanted to venture into the depths of Star Dou.

Before setting out, he decided to gain more strength as a last-ditch effort.

The corpse of the Bright Light Deer emerged from the system, floating on the poisoned waters of the pond.

The corpse of the dead Bright Light Deer was far more majestic in appearance than it had been in life.
Its horns and markings throbbed with pulses of light-attributed energy, and after reaching the 100,000-year mark, the beast's blood and flesh seemed to sublimate in quality.

Wang Lin unhinged his jaw, swallowed the corpse whole, and sank to the bottom of the pond.
He knew he would emerge stronger after digesting the corpse. He knew that Star Dou Forest held many surprises, and he was curious about the human settlements
.
He knew that whatever came his way would meet its death, content after a long period of only worrying about survival. Wang Lin fell asleep.

Time passed. The poisonous valley of the purple serpent returned to its eerie silence. Fate seemed to sense Wang Lin's growing confidence.

Roaming high above the waters of the poison valley, the rebellious spirit of the sky, the Emerald Demon Bird, cast a shadow on the waters where Wang Lin lay asleep.

Chapter-9 Compound Growth New
The purple mists around the valley clouded the things they concealed. It had been another two months since Wang Lin consumed the 100,000-year-old Bright Light deer.

The withered vegetation made way for new plants that thrived in the poisonous environment. He enriched the surrounding poison concentration by releasing showers of poison into the air—a feat he couldn't have achieved a few months ago. But now, with his higher cultivation, he could release large amounts of potent poison.

The pond and its surroundings hosted poisonous insects like centipedes, scorpions, and other venomous creatures. In a matter of months, Wang Lin had transformed a normal pond in the Star Duo forest into a paradise for poison-attributed creatures. However, for any weaker creature, leaving the poison valley alive would be a rare feat.

On Hook Panel:
  • Name: Wang Lin
  • Attribute: Poison
  • Age: 60,053 years

  • Items: Spirit Ginseng (120k years), Ghost Wolf (96k years), Man-Faced Demon Spider (66k years), Jade Phosphorus Flower (60k years), Nine-Segment Jade Snake (60k years), Nightmare Piranha Flower (30k years)
Wang Lin slithered through the trees with his enormous body. He frequently ventured outside the valley to collect spirit beasts with poison attributes. This new need for poison-attributed beasts arose due to an incident a couple of weeks prior.

The Ghost Wolf he had reached 100,000 years, followed by the Man-Faced Demon Spider, which reached 90,000 years. In his eagerness for quick gains, he consumed both of them. However, the Light-attributed energy from the Bright Light deer and the Dark-attributed energy from both the Ghost Wolf and the Man-Faced Demon Spider violently clashed.

The opposing energies wreaked havoc within Wang Lin's body, rupturing his internal organs and inflicting severe injuries. He was only able to heal himself thanks to the abundant blood energy provided by the Spirit Ginseng.

This experience taught Wang Lin a vital lesson: not to consume spirit beasts with opposing attributes. With his growing cultivation, he could use his inner sense to identify the most compatible path, which turned out to be poison. However, poison alone wasn't enough to counter energy-based attacks, so, in addition to poison-attributed beasts, he hunted spirit beasts with darkness attributes.

His frequent hunts reduced the beast population around the valley, forcing him to venture further into the forest. The passage of two months afforded him two more positions for items, so he scouted for unique herbs and spirit beasts for his collection.

His hunting spree was not without reward; it sharpened his combat experience, even though most of the beasts he hunted were weaker than him.

Like after every hunt, Wang Lin entered the valley through an entrance he had to widen due to his increased size, then moved near the pond. While admiring his majestic reflection, a spirit beast suddenly swooped down from the sky, aiming to pierce its claws into his skull.

Before it could reach him, Wang Lin reacted by whipping his body, striking the bird with his head and sending it flying over the poison pond and into the trees. The impact broke its wings, making escape impossible. Wang Lin slithered toward it leisurely, then sank his deadly fangs into the Emerald Demon Bird, ignoring its pleading cries as he put it out of its misery.

Wang Lin didn't even know what kind of beast he had killed. Otherwise, he would have been quite surprised—the Emerald Demon Bird was one of the most fearsome creatures of the skies, bold enough to attack dragons without hesitation.

Though it seemed unfair, he had used his advanced cultivation of 60,000 years to kill a 20,000-year-old beast. It was still an impressive feat, given the limitations of the Datura snake species in attacks.

After storing the Emerald Demon Bird, Wang Lin returned to his routine of resting in the pond and hunting beyond the valley. The cycle of day and night passed swiftly as he settled into this rhythm, and another three months elapsed without his noticing.

He gained three additional slots for storage in the system space. The speed at which he was gaining new slots was making it hard for him to find spirit beast and plants that were compatible with him.

It was another hunting day for him, with the area he hunted in now farther from the poison valley, as each hunt depleted the local population of beasts.
He was trailing a white tiger spirit beast when he stumbled upon a group of humans and spirit beasts locked in battle.

Some members of the human party materialized weapons like spears out of thin air, others transformed into humanoid-beast hybrids, while others launched energy attacks. All the humans shared a common feature: floating rings of light encircling them. They were fighting against a mother Dark Gold Fear Claw Bear spirit beast that was protecting her cub.

The mother Dark Gold Fear Claw Bear appeared to be around 20,000 years old, and the human party was struggling under her fierce onslaught. However, with their versatile attacks and coordinated teamwork, they soon gained the upper hand.

Wang Lin's past encounter with humans had left him with bitter memories that he couldn't shake. So, upon encountering another human entourage, he intended to turn away. But seeing the human group bullying the mother bear reminded him of the time he had been attacked while helpless, left on the verge of death.

He released a beastly roar into the air, alerting both the bear and the human spirit masters.

Moving swiftly toward them, he alarmed the spirit masters, who were on the verge of killing the mother Dark Gold Fear Claw Bear, but Wang Lin's arrival foiled their plan. After quickly gauging Wang Lin's age and cultivation, they decided to retreat, realizing that to fight him would be to court death.

The human spirit masters vanished, leaving only Wang Lin and the mother bear, who stood on guard, protectively shielding her cub and watching him warily.
Wang Lin tossed a corpse from the system toward the injured mother Dark Gold Fear Claw Bear, then slithered back toward the poison valley, ending his hunt for the day.

For three months without interruption, Wang Lin progressed from a sixty-thousand-year-old snake to just a few hundred years short of one hundred thousand years.

Wang Lin was resting in the poison pond, waiting for the moment he would reach 100,000 years. He hadn't noticed any significant changes as he grew from 10,000 to 100,000 years, except for an increase in strength. He hoped there would be more transformations once he reached the 100,000-year mark.

However, before he could reach the milestone, he encountered some uninvited guests.

Outside Poison Valley, a group of spirit masters was advancing directly toward Wang Lin's location; there were three spirit masters in total.

"Nephew Xiang Li, are you sure you saw the mutated serpent here?" asked Bai Du.

"Uncle Bai Du, I'm sure. The mutated spirit beast was definitely over 60,000 years old. It would be an ideal fit for your ninth spirit ring," said Xiang Li.

"It's not that I don't believe you, but finding a spirit beast over 50,000 years old is usually only possible in the inner regions of the Star Dou Forest. That's why I find it hard to believe you saw a 60,000-year-old beast here in the outer regions," said Bai Du.

"Uncle, why would I lie when you helped me hunt down the Dark Gold Terror Bear for my spirit ring? I even got a spirit bone from it," replied Xiang Li as golden claws extended from his palms.

"You fool, what did I tell you about showing your spirit bone outside? The only reason you're still alive is because you showed it to your Uncle Bai Du and me. If it were anyone else, you'd be dead," Xiang Shang scolded.

"Do you realize how valuable spirit bones are? If anyone else had seen it, they'd want to kill you for it," added Xiang Shang, hitting Xiang Li on the head.

"I'm sorry, Uncle. I won't do it again. I was just excited about getting a spirit bone. Uncle, why are we bringing the Dark Gold Terror Bear cub with us?" Xiang Li asked Xiang Shang pointing towards the unconscious Dark Gold Terror Bear cub.

"Nephew, do you know how terrifying Dark Gold Terror Bears are? Don't underestimate them just because Uncle Xiang Shang and I managed to hunt one," said Bai Du.

"In a direct confrontation, your Elephant Armor Beast spirit would lose. We only succeeded because my Corpse Poison Serpent martial spirit poisoned it, and more importantly, it was protecting this cub. If the Dark Gold Terror Bear had rampaged, even with your Uncle Xiang Shang being a titled Douluo and me a pseudo-titled Douluo, we would've had a hard time." said Bai Du.

"We're bringing the bear cub back to Elephant Academy to raise it as our guardian beast. So, you better take care of it," Xiang Shang warned Xiang Li, who nodded in response.

"Uncle, I think we've found the place where the mutated serpent is," Xiang Li said, staring at the thick purple poison mist floating at the entrance to the valley, his mouth agape.

The group of three entered the valley cautiously, searching for the snake.

Wang Lin's peaceful slumber was disturbed by the arrival of the three. The group scouted around the pond, only finding small, poison-attributed spirit beasts.

"Uncle, the mutated spirit beast doesn't seem to be here. Shouldn't we head back? The poison in the air is suffocating," Xiang Li said.

"Silly nephew, didn't you pay attention in your academy classes? Don't you see anything strange around the lake?" Xiang Shang asked.

"Except for the dried-up stream leading to the river, I don't see anything unusual," Xiang Li replied.

"Nephew, that's why I called you silly. It isn't a stream—it's a track left by the mutated serpent spirit beast. The beast isn't gone; it's hiding in the pond. Take this antidote and stay in the back while your Uncle Bai Du and I handle it," said Xiang Shang.

Just as he finished speaking, a colossal beast shot out from the poison pond, making it rain poison across the valley.

Wang Lin was preparing a poison flood attack, but before he could act, the spirit master Xiang Shang, wielding the Elephant Armor martial spirit, threw a boulder at him. Due to the close proximity, the boulder struck Wang Lin in the head.

Dizzy from the blow, Wang Lin didn't have time to orient himself before the spirit rings of the Elephant Armor and Corpse Poison Serpent spirit masters hovered in the air, raining attack after attack on him.

Disadvantaged by his inability to fly and limited to poison-based attacks, Wang Lin struggled to fend them off.

He tried to escape, but both spirit masters blocked the valley's entrance, trapping him inside. They took turns resting to recover their soul power while the other attacked, wearing him down over hours.

After the intense battle, Wang Lin lay prone, half his body in the pond, with wounds and missing scales covering him.

"Congratulations, Uncle Bai Du, on becoming a titled Douluo! Now our Elephant Armor Academy has two titled Douluos," shouted Xiang Li as the two spirit masters landed.

"It's too soon to celebrate, nephew. We don't yet know how old this mutant spirit beast is. It looks similar to a Datura snake, so it's definitely over 70,000 years old. It's good enough for my ninth spirit ring," said Bai Du, walking toward Wang Lin's seemingly lifeless body.

"Stop pretending, beast. If you were dead, a spirit ring would be floating above your corpse," Bai Du said, his eight spirit rings glowing around him.

Seeing this, Wang Lin knew he was discovered. Running on fumes, he rose to face the spirit masters.

In this life-threatening moment, Wang Lin opened the System, focusing on the 200,000 years old Spirit Ginseng .

"I wanted to see it reach a million years… to taste the energy of a million-year-old Spirit Ginseng," he thought in his mind.

With no other choice, he pulled the Spirit Ginseng from the System and consumed it, hoping it would restore his strength.

The sudden appearance of the Spirit Ginseng startled Bai Du, who backed off, ready for an unexpected attack.

As the dense energy from the Spirit Ginseng seeped into Wang Lin's body, his focus shifted. The System's age counter hit the 100,000-year mark, and the skies above Poison Valley darkened, signaling the birth of a new overlord in the Star Dou Forest.
