... Oh, wait. Did I stumble across something relevant, or did we already know that Goofy's secret is probably that he's holding onto a Super-Goober that lets him turn into Super Goof, and all his gardening-related personals are likely related to farming his super-peanuts?
Many people have guessed the super goof thing but in story we don't really know what any of his personals do.

Hang out with max Improves his loyalty as I recall but the college degree one reset do to lack of progress so needs 3 more personals to unlock and we've never taken any of his other personals.

Poor Goofy has been constantly working for us. Being on the council would probably be a break for him. Two personals a year plus the company retreat one.

...actually we could finish his college degree this year if we focus. Whatever stat buffs he gets would probably be worthwhile.

"How disappointing." The Yokai said.
Welp, there's the nat 1.
My job is to hunt platypi.
My job is to open and close doors.
Unseen to the world, there was a spark.
Go Little Rockstar
Norm, buddy, please don't go rogue on us okay.
He's not going rogue, he's going real.

Perhaps he can join OWCA as agent Zero and start a naming conventiom now if father has no caring nemesis, then he has too fill that empty void and become it by jaming into that milky sweaty eggy mammal small sized hole father is dependant on.
Also classic norm issue is that doof likely never actually reads those reports so no need for this series of events.
FRED NAME for norm could be the NORMalizer, Personoid, Stepford (Husband)/man?, Normality, suburber?
Mmm. It's a funny image, but... I didn't really get the impression that the 'caring Nemesis' thought extended all the way from Perry to Norm himself, not yet. Maybe if the expected Doof Personal goes weirdly, or Norm's exposed to more speeches on the values of a good Nemesis, but in this instance I felt like rather than becoming a Nemesis himself Norm's actions were more in line with his next thought: how Mirage currently filled that role without being a Nemesis, even if she wasn't able to stop as much - and Norm's report wouldn't be one of the things she could stop. No one else was in position to stop it, either. Only Norm could. So he did.

...I guess in some sense Norm became his own Nemesis, if only for a bit?? :V

To be fair we have already tried twice for Goofy to get his degree (half the personals he has ever done, the other 2 were the ones that got us Max), its just that because of bad roll we basically have made 0 progress there.

And while the idea of Gardening being something that leads to Super Goof has been passed around many times its also a question of priorities, Goofy has been mostly a Diplomatic hero for us so trying to make him a super didn't seem that high of a priority

Speaking of Quest, do we know which one, if any we're doing next turn? Councilor can go on quest according 2 the Discord Q&A after all.
The Councilors need to be able to do a Personal Action to go on quests and the next turn is the November/December turn so they won't have one, and after this last massive quest I think it would be for the best to not take any quest next turn if possible

Doesn't the Nicholas Cage quest have a timer on it? I don't know what next turn is going to look like do to reworks but that quest should be considered.

Its available til July/August. The only other Quest I think we have right now is Feldrake's World Tour.

Thanks, the response I got on the Q&A was just "Yes". I should probably learn to word questions better.

will need to convince Doofenshmirtz too since he's right there. Doofenshmirtz will have a harder time ignoring unpleasant truths. You are more likely to be told unpleasant truths. Doofenshmirtz will be more affected by unpleasant truths.
Norm…had nothing to report.

Well, if you want to ook at this in a different kind of positive way; Doof and Norm are probably both gaining a bit of effective intrigue, even if not stat-wise

With a flick of his wrist, the battleaxe receded into Norm's arm. Bending down, Norm picked up the still slimy arm of Baron von Steamer. Its metallic form was surmounted by the molasses launcher still connected to it. Norm examined the mechanism.

Probably a good thing Norm didn't keep that; it'd just add to the list of tech we took but don't use

To be fair, having a Superman-level superhero in our back pocket would be useful for the various Crises. Seriously, Super-Goof is absurd. There's a reason he rarely shows up in actual serious stories. He's Superman-level powerful, and he only has two weaknesses, namely, A. His power being dependent on his supply of Super-Goobers, each of which only lasts for a few minutes and B. Being Goofy. In Ultraheroes, one of the few non-comedic stories he's even been in, he handily beats the shit out of an entire team's worth of supervillains (including, incidentally, Inquinator, remember him) until they manage to steal his gobbers. That's the kinda guy I want working for us.

I'm mostly interested because aside from Goofy himself, we know the goobers can give superpowers at least to other toons. Coyote would certainly appreciate them. Not to mention Red Car collabs.

What possible use could you get out of a molasses launcher?

...don't answer that...
I dunno, I think some mega molasses launchers could be good weapons to use against Toffee. Firstly, just because it'd be an ironic choice of weapon, given Toffee's name, which is fun.

But also, mixing in stuff that Toffee doesn't control into his goop-based body could be a conceivable way of slowing him down where conventional attacks alone can't, and molasses would have the consistency needed to gum up Toffee. It's totally viable, I swear :V

Changing topic, glad to see that Norm's starting to become more of a real boy. Not sure if we should talk with Norm next turn, its difficult to weigh whether rolling at -10 or leaving it for another two months would have a worse result. If we don't do it next turn, then Norm deserves some of Doof's Personal Actions immediately after the malus wears off. We could pull an Introspect about Norm and Chat With Bossman(Norm) combo for added effect.

On january 15th, 1919 Boston was Devastated by a massive Molasses explosion. It caused thousands on dollars in property damage, and killed and injured countless people.

Imagine if we could weaponise that destructive power. No force would stand against Doofania, for fear of being taken out in a tidal wave of hot, sticky, sweetner.

I don't want to put off introspecting about Norm, at all. We've been waiting for the perfect moment to do it ever since we got it in July/August 2015- over two years ago.

Now, Norm is starting to develop a personality of his own. If we don't take action now, Doof is going to go from abusing a not-quite-a-person to actually abusing a person, one who's learning how to go against his programming. That's a recipe for losing Norm entirely after he gives up on Doof ever accepting him.

...Why did my brain just clearly yell "Do you realize the narrative bonus if we roll well on Norm-Based Personals RIGHT after we just decided to face all the truths"

Nah. Our ceiling right now is a 90, and there's a risk of a -1 or even a -9 if we roll really poorly. Yes, any roll that would get us to negative would be bad anyway, but I don't want to make things worse. We should do it, but not right now: Doof is not in the right headspace to make a good descion, and whatever descion he might make would, objectively, be better if he did it next turn. Which he should.

A mediocre decision now is better than a good decision later.

You know I kind of hope our first meeting with David is written out, it would be interesting to see Xanatos notice our change in behavior and how he's not getting as much as he expected out of us.
