Considering that the leader of the Black ops would be Technor and who we are tolerance for nonsense would seem to be a vital part of the qualifiers
Traits are really important so lets look at what each of these is known for.- Sirque (better Martial and Learning, same everything else);
- Liquidator (better Stewardship, better Diplo, 5 star Martial);
- Mr. Sparkles (better Stewardship, switch Intrigue focus for Diplo focus, entertainment-based trait?);
- Naughty Kitty (Same stats, better Martial, worse Learning, animal-themed teenager);
- Candela (one less Intrigue, one less Learning, plus four Martial);
- Fujitas (worse Intrigue, but better overall stats);
Holy shit, I just checked the Dingo spoiler in the recruitment options folder. He has this line in the description.
Nanomachines: Son
Dingo has Matrix. We HAVE to get him.
I mean, she was part of a Cirque de Soleil type bit. She can probably do well with Juniper's dancing. But yeah. that's a mentality she kind of has. She was using the Cirque as camouflage for her heists. She doesn't trust easily.Sirque's card also says she does solo heists so I'm not sure how good of a fit being on a team would be.
His card has the Matrix armor. That really shouldn't be a surprise.Holy shit, I just checked the Dingo spoiler in the recruitment options folder. He has this line in the description.

Wait, isn't Matrix TOTALLY into upholding Law And Order?I have assumed that it is the case for a very long time, but confirmation is confirmation.
TECHNOR can probably keep her happy, though she probably wouldn't be that happy with Doof. We do have some "low-nonsense" Heroes working for us, like Janus Lee.Considering that the leader of the Black ops would be Technor and who we are tolerance for nonsense would seem to be a vital part of the qualifiers
Hmm, point about her maybe not having her signature tech. The acrobat thing is still good synergy with Juniper, but she's looking less like the obviously superior pick.Sirque is a Physicist/Acrobat who may have Portal powers (but probably doesn't because Kreitech is Bakemono now).
Naughty Kitty is a young adult acrobat with an animal theme, I thought she'd have pretty good synergy with Juniper. Also, cat whispering apparently.
She is one of Jumba's, and she was grateful enough to him. Boosted recruitment chances/increased starting loyalty, maybe?Candela's an original character but she seems okayish from what We've seen of her on screen so far.
Does that actually mean we can't heroball them? Do we have a ruling on this?The Fujitas are probably already a Heroball. There are three of them.
I don't see much of a problem with that?Also, they have worked for Yama in the past as his criminal enforcers (You see one of them in the movie BH6 collecting money at the Bot fight).
We don't. It's a possibility though. But that's not why I bring it up. Heroballs we already recruit are likely already well-designed heroballs, and would probably be harder to integrate into another heroball narratively. if a heroball doesn't work as well narratively, it doesn't work as well mechanically either. So I kind of want to avoid integrating heroballs with multiple people in them. Dingo and Matrix are more an Eddie Brock and Venom situation. they feel more like one character (though I have other issues with Dingo, such as his nanomachine armor's love of LAW and ORDER, which broadly speaking, we are the opposite of).Does that actually mean we can't heroball them? Do we have a ruling on this?
It's relevant to their sort of criminality. Not necessarily a problem. The post is meant to be informative. Not complaints.
I tend to think the opposite. If they function well together and are used to working in groups, they shouldn't be particularly difficult to integrate unless the group's theme messes with their own gimmick.Heroballs we already recruit are likely already well-designed heroballs, and would probably be harder to integrate into another heroball narratively. if a heroball doesn't work as well narratively, it doesn't work as well mechanically either.
Ah. In that case, Naughty Kitty is from the Atomic Puppet show and her personality is based on Catwoman, so she has a more non-murderous bent, in case that's relevant information.It's relevant to their sort of criminality. Not necessarily a problem. The post is meant to be informative. Not complaints.
Uh, if we put someone in a heroball, wouldn't that at least severely limit our capacity to use them elsewhere? As such, I'm going with a hard pass on heroballing Gomez, since he's one of our best Occult research options. I'm also questioning including Technor, since we've gotten quite a bit of value out of him as an individual hero unit. Not sure we want to put any restrictions on that.So, The heroball is gonna have at least Technor and Juniper, and probably Gomez too.

The stars aren't necessarily equivalent to stats. With that said:
Mesmerella
Martial: ✪
Diplomacy: ✪✪
Stewardship: ✪
Intrigue: ✪✪✪
Learning: ✪✪
The reason Mesmerella's being picked is because much more than stats? Cohesion matters. LOVEMUFFIN is an example of a Hero Ball with poor Cohesion (The individual scores of scientists in lovemuffin were all higher than LOVEMUFFIN as a whole). Jumba's Heroball has decent cohesion (which is why they have serious downsides). NOWCA is an example of pretty good Cohesion (Monogram's stats remain unchanged, but he gets to become an extra action). We want a GOOD heroball (we have no examples of such so far, but monogram's NOWCA is promising). Which means we need people who will probably get along with each other. Mesmerella seems likely to fit in well. Other pulls? not so much. In addition, Mesmerella brings Decent Intrique to the table for sending this heroball out on quests.
Traits are important too. Which is why we don't need Martial as much.
It is.Ah. In that case, Naughty Kitty is from the Atomic Puppet show and her personality is based on Catwoman, so she has a more non-murderous bent, in case that's relevant information.
Dingo suffered from a nasty case of character development not shown in the show. He decided he wanted to be a Hero because of the Pack and to turn a new leaf. He met an AI who is uber Law and Order.I'm also fully in favor of trying to get Dingo. He was basically the best member of the Pack when they were a black ops team (not counting Fox), and only really jumped ship from them when they started taking the crazy train to murder town. I don't think he'd have much of an issue with working for us.
You, sir, need to go watch the Adam West Batman movie.Naughty Kitty and Sirque sound like loner catburglar types. I'm not fully opposed to including them? But you pretty much never see Catwoman in a team up.
Hmm, that's unfortunate. A somewhat understandable reaction to dealing with Wolf, Hyena, and Jackal for as long as he did, however. Ah, well.Dingo suffered from a nasty case of character development not shown in the show. He decided he wanted to be a Hero because of the Pack and to turn a new leaf. He met an AI who is uber Law and Order.
I'm all for including more intrigue. But I don't Think Technor, or Juniper and Stealth belong in the same sentence. unless that sentence is "STEALTH IS BELOW THE GLORY OF THE GLORIOUS TECHNOR!"You, sir, need to go watch the Adam West Batman movie.
More seriously, I think we should probably include a stealth specialist, and those two sound like our best options on that score.
Why are those four the golden standard? I don't get any particular synergy from them, except for Technor and Juniper of course.Technor, Gomez, Mez and Juniper is sort of the cohesion gold standard. Technor's an effective leader, the other three are used to team work and not the sort of prideful that would undermine it.
Sirque does have a blurb that says she's a loner, but Naughty Kitty has no such thing. She's actually quite social in her show, attending both a party/peace conference for all heroes and villains, and a big villain team-up at the end of the series.Naughty Kitty and Sirque sound like loner catburglar types. I'm not fully opposed to including them? But you pretty much never see Catwoman in a team up.
Coincidentally enough, Naughty Kitty is based on the 1960's show version of Catwoman, particularly Eartha Kitt's, according to show creators. And yes, 1960's Catwoman did do teamups.
TECHNOR is of course, the glorious distraction while his acrobatic and burglary inclined teammates do their jobs.I'm all for including more intrigue. But I don't Think Technor, or Juniper and Stealth belong in the same sentence. unless that sentence is "STEALTH IS BELOW THE GLORY OF THE GLORIOUS TECHNOR!"
