Character creation 2
Oh shit. You were supposed to meet up with your friend for coffee today. You can practically feel the world shift as you remember. It was the holiday after your uni final exams and you had promised each other to meet up so you didn't slowly drift away. Wow. You must have really gotten into your sky gazing session in order to forget. You had been looking forward to this all week, if only to get some sympathy for your barely passing grade.
You quickly text Alex back saying you will be right there doing your best to put the switch to the back of your mind.
You reach down and grab your rucksack from the ground and throw it on your back not even bothering to shake the dirt from it. Sprinting to meet deadlines was something you had gotten quite good at in Uni, both in a metaphorical sense and a real one. You had once woke up 20 minutes before a project was due in and had to run, in your pajamas, all the way across campus to your professor's office. It was not a proud day for you. Forgetting about that, and another
thing, you peel out the park at a brisk jog. It really was a pleasant day you think, as the wind rushes through your hair. You think you might lead Alex back to the park once you both get a drink and have a sort of picnic.
You jog for a while, feeling at home in the busy city, and eventually come to the store front of one 'hugs with mugs' coffee shop. It was a nice cosy store with an inviting aroma and a cute logo of a little baby mug being hugged by a larger mug. Sure the name sounded a little dumb but you would be damned if it wasn't the best coffeeshop in a hundred miles. Despite yourself you hoped the shop wouldn't get any more popular; you didn't want it to get filled to the brim with those who weren't worthy to tased the sweet nectar of the gods this place served.
Speaking of the unworthy, Alex was sat on one of the chairs outside drinking
hot chocolate of all things.
Despicable.
You call out with an loud "Hello!" but feel a little award as all the other patron look at you. You were a little too loud. You smile an embarrassed smile as Alex looks up from their cup. Looking straight at them you can't help but think about how there was something off
about the way they looked. You're not the type of person to judge based on looks though and slide into the seat next to them.
"And here I thought coffee was your first priority?" Alex askes. You open your mouth to reply and then close it. You quickly slide out of the seat and make a beeline for the counter.
"Aww come on." they cry and you completely ignore them. You get to the counter and order your usual: the house special. Since the picnic idea is still fresh on you mind you order it to-go as well.
The barista, a petite girl whom you don't recognize, asks you what name you want written on the cup. Huh, the girl must be new, you'd been a regular here for so long that you couldn't remember you need to give your name. In pause, you think for a moment before saying…
[X] Write in with

-[X]gender

[X] flip the switch. (Only wins if exceeds the total number of Name, gender and race votes.)
