Disciples of Red Dew Sect (Cultivation Riot Quest)

Hmm. Well that changes things considerably.

In theory, the best time to train the technique would be during said lecture. The issue is, we don't know exactly when that lecture will happen, and the value of the technique is how quickly it can be obtained, and how broadly applicable it is.

Which leaves anyone who wants to train it in the unenviable pickle of deciding between training it now and potentially losing an action on it compared to people who train under an Elder for it, or waiting who knows how many turns for the lecture to be held and missing out on the extra die in their dicepool.

Depending on how things go. I'll likely either be holding the lecture next turn or 2 turns from now. It really depends on how the dice go for me.

My real life luck with the dice might run out and I'll be flattened.

Another question:

How does Elder attention work? In theory, if say, all the Disciples who had some of Elder Heizou's attention were to ask him if he was willing to give some tips on learning the Red Dew Sect's signature technique... would he be willing humor such a request?

(Hold up lemme run some numbers real quick. . .)

I may be willing to humor that, yes.

Welp.

I have a proposal:

Operation Gathering Red Dew.

Would you be willing to ask Elder Heizou for advice on the Red Dew Technique, and commit to a collective Technique Training Session with all of us?

Space Jawa, I know you in particular had your own action in mind, but with your 1/3 progress for the technique, you stand a very realistic chance of completing the technique outright with this action. I would also argue that the best way to emulate the Late Baron would be to study his ways in depth before taking action, and what better way to do that then to learn the technique he left behind for all who attended his Sect?

I'd be down for it. Always do like stuff that isn't strong, but is always useful.

I don't know if their plans have changed now that more missions have been posted but fluxeal and I had been planning to work on the red dew technique this turn as well. Them with 2 actions and myself with just my auxiliary neither of us have Elder Heizou's attention. But if that is not an issue I'm willing to join in and fluxeal may be as well if you ask them.

Sadly, I'd prefer it everyone person in the collective action contributed as many dice as possible. This is because in order to maximize the number of successes each Disciple gets out of the action, you want to have each person contributing putting in as many dice as they can.

But a thought occurs to me:

The Red Dew Technique only currently goes to Clay Grade. But, in theory, if an enterprising Elder wanted to research further grades of the technique, they would need a dedicated group of Tempered Peasant Disciples to get the job done, since the technique seems to be a Tempered Peasant realm only technique.

You'll probably want to specialise above Clay grade to become actually good at your preferred specialty.

You're acutally wrong. It does only go up to clay grade... But even us elders are still using it. Although if you all want to volunteer to be lab rats. I wound't stop you.

In fairness, you'll have plenty of time to decide. Plus, the Red Dew Tech can probably be used to train other techs as well, so it can help you get a specialty online once you've decided.

I don't think I have the technique also what does ite do? My path a boxer I don't think it shouldn't to my path

All Disciples of the Red Dew Sect can learn the Red Dew Technique, even if they don't have the manual. The QM explained that there's always people lecturing in the background, and this technique is one of those techs that are always being lectured about. I assume some poor Senior Outer Disciples get stuck with the job.

My plan is still to work on the technique I'm honestly a little unsure on the teamwork part though as it was pointed out that its pretty inefficient with only 2 people so if someone else wants to join us I'm down maybe we could get help from a senior

(Just FYI, from what I remember, an Elder teaching you is worth approximately 100 dice of progress to an Early Peasant)

Okay with that it may be better to just wait for the lecture then unless people are able to amass enough dice to get it done this turn

Yeah, for most other people, it's probably better to just wait for the lecture. The only reason I proposed the plan I did is because Elder Heizou is willing to hear us out.

Quick question can we give other players stuff and if so would it be an action. (totally not working out the logistics of making an outer disciple gambling ring.)

I mean, if you legit started a fight club with bets, that would honestly be pretty legit. So long as the fights are structured like official duels.
