Ultimate Kars wakes up one day to find that he's collided with some kind of biological ship in deep space. Being Kars, he promptly absorbs as much of it as he can and finds that he is now FTL-capable. In his quest to become the true Ultimate Life Form he now wanders the universe searching for even more life to bend to his will.
Some conditions:
1) His FTL should be considered "standard speed" for whichever setting he ends up in, unless he absorbs something that can go faster.
2) It requires a day to recharge after he stops somewhere.
3) Only biological life works, and any powers must be genetic in origin.
4) He can break conservation of mass to regenerate, but he can't become gigantic.
5) Conservation of energy is dumb, ignore it.
6) Assume he keeps his arrogant, showboating personality. It's just not Kars otherwise.
Which fictional setting gives him the best chance of conquering all life? Which one will make him the most disgustingly overpowered being possible?
