It's Rodin, a character from Bayonetta, which was developed by one of the creators of DMC. He's more or less the guy to go to if you want items and weapons.

Isn't this a little contradictory. You said there were numerous casualties. But in the next sentence it says there weren't any reported deaths.but the battle led to numerous casualties. No deaths were reported,
Casualties includes wounded.Isn't this a little contradictory. You said there were numerous casualties. But in the next sentence it says there weren't any reported deaths.
Really? I thought it was only for deaths
Nope, wounded and dead.
No, the boss if I'm not mistaken is Rodin from bayonetta. 10 times more badass than the one from thr Row.
As multiple people have said, "Boss" is Rodin, a merchant character from Bayonetta. As for why he's there... It's kind of a long story that involves Bayonetta, a Chomper, and him deciding to take a vacation. And wouldn't you know it, he picked Earth Bet of all places!
She will receive a Devil Trigger (Hah!), but it won't appear until the Endbringer battle with Leviathan. Which will play out a LOT differently compared to canon for a lot of reasons. If Taylor has Vergils powers does she also have his Demon form ala DMC 5?
Thank you! I had no idea what that design of sword was called, and it was eating at me like mad trying to describe it. The only point of reference I had was Kanda's Innocence "Mugen" in its first form. The hilt of a sword is made up of the pommel if it has one the grip and the guard. If the sword didnt have one taylor would be holding the tang which is the piece of the blade that is used to attach the hilt
A canon character from Worm, since I'm trying to limit the number of OC's being introduced. I say they're canon to Worm, but they also appear in Ward. The decision to include them was actually suggested by my co-writer, who has read Ward. He's also the guy responsible for penning out the drafts of the "Subhuman" arc.Oh, nice ! A new chapter !
Well, Tay apparently already made her debut and it was somewhat impressive ? Wondering who'll be joining her.
Thanks for the chapter, it was as good as the first one imo !
It has been fixed to be a bit less confusing. Sorry about that!Isn't this a little contradictory. You said there were numerous casualties. But in the next sentence it says there weren't any reported deaths.
First off, who the hell is Stripekitty and MainMurder hobo No.1? Secondly, Taylor will not receive the Yamato as it belongs to either Vergil or Nero at this point in time.If Taylor is a Psudo-Vergil then how would she get the Yamato, or something close to it I mean the only way I can see that is from Stripekitty and MainMurder hobo No.1 combined.
Oh dear lord in heaven, why is that a thing?!Man, every time I see "subhuman" in the threadmarks it makes me think of this image:
Nice to see more of the world and general situation in this chapter.
Well... I'm intrigued. Very. Hopefully it's that one character that held 2 goddamn cities from collapsing.A canon character from Worm, since I'm trying to limit the number of OC's being introduced. That being said...who the fuck is Antares? -_O
Considering you're on Levi chapters - you'll learn soon enough. And good for Tay on not having Yamato. That thing is hacks. Also surprised that Taylor is using a shirasaya sword. I take it she has some basic instinctive grasp on how to wield weapons but needs to practice for more tricks ?First off, who the hell is Stripekitty and MainMurder hobo No.1? It's baby steps for Taylor right now. Yamato is for post-game smoking sick stylish badasses.Well... I'm intrigued. Very. Hopefully it's that one character that held 2 goddamn cities from collapsing.
As for Antares without spoilers - Mary Sue. In my opinion.

I assume Stripekitty is the Siberian and MainMurder hobo No.1 is Jack Slash.

The original pre-re-record version of subhuman had really whack vocal mixing, resulting in it sounding like the lead vocalist was screaming
Thank god "Bury the light" doesn't have that problem.
Also just realized that I didn't ask just what version of Vergil's physical abilities did Tay replicate ? If it's DMC 5 one... Dear god, she is a monster compared to others. Unless someone is flying she should be able to just blitz everyone including Lung. It's baby steps for Taylor right now. Yamato is for post-game smoking sick stylish badasses
I can't tell if you're serious so
Okay, now the nicknames make sense. For the record? I can hardly wait until I introduce S9 into this, if only because things are going to get very bad very quickly, and for once, it ain't because of them.I assume Stripekitty is the Siberian and MainMurder hobo No.1 is Jack Slash.
Nope. When Taylor triggered, she got turned into a half-demon.@SkyRig i was hoping that taylor don't have a shard but a half human half demon
She's got what Vergil and Dante have without the weapons and other abilities like Devil Trigger. Increased strength, stamina and durability plus a neat little healing factor, plus she has Vergil's Summoned Swords. She will eventually be able to replicate some of what Vergil can do, like Judgment Cut, but that won't be until she has a better understanding of what she can do.Thank god "Bury the light" doesn't have that problem.

*eyebrow twitching violently* ...well. That certainly explains some of the stuff my co-writer has penned out for this arc.I can't tell if you're serious so
Victoria Dallon AKA Glory Girl
I mean, Pre-DT Dante and Vergil were casually breaking speed of sound and a simple shove from Dante blew minor demon up (DMC 3 starting cutscene). And those things are Brute 1-2 at minimum. Anyway, none of that is important - what is important is for you to enjoy writing. She's got what Vergil and Dante have without the weapons and other abilities like Devil Trigger.
Ward is weird. All I'm going to say. And judging by your S9 comment - I'm morbidly curious now.*eyebrow twitching violently* ...well. That certainly explains some of the stuff my co-writer has penned out for this arc.
Which brings me the fact that Tay-Tay is really getting Vergil's angst slowly and surely... also does Taylor have a Changer ability that turns her into Vergil?
Is it sad that in my head canon that everytime Dante solds his Devil Arms to the market Rodin nabs them quickly so he can profit of both being powerful demons and owned by a son of Sparda? No, it's Rodin from the Bayonetta games, a fallen angel turned bartender/weapon smith for a discerning clientele. How he makes said weapons is simple, he just heads down to Inferno and beats the unholy shit out of elder demons until they cough up the appropriate Devil Arm.
1. Uhhh I really am confused how the frak a Shard understoods what are demons knowing the Entities literally operates in hard science, super science yes but not as convulted as the more supernatural/paracusal(?) powers out there.Nope. When Taylor triggered, she got turned into a half-demon.
Kinda shocking she is actually the MC of the sequel tbh, and how she changed from early Worm to that which literally pushes lots of my buttonss.*eyebrow twitching violently* ...well. That certainly explains some of the stuff my co-writer has penned out for this arc.
Holy fuck STOP READING NOWI have not finished reading Worm in its entirety and I am currently on the Arc "Hive." I originally intended on posting this once I was twenty or so arcs in, but a friend of mine offered to be a co-writer and fill in the gaps. That said, updates for this story will be varied, and I will most likely update again when I am further along in Worm so I don't fuck things up (possibly worse than I already have with what's been established).
Well, technically it's the brain-child of my co-writer, who feels the S9 are entirely underutilized in Worm fanfics. I personally don't know about that last one, since the only Worm fanfic I've read and am still reading is Taylor Varga.I mean, Pre-DT Dante and Vergil were casually breaking speed of sound and a simple shove from Dante blew minor demon up (DMC 3 starting cutscene). And those things are Brute 1-2 at minimum. Anyway, none of that is important - what is important is for you to enjoy writing.

Most of what Vergil can do, Taylor can do also. Except feats that explicitly require Yamato, as it can apparently cut through anything, even dimensions. Which I personally find to be total bullshit cuz, last I checked, Vergil couldn't cut Lady's bazooka. How would she even do a Judgment Cut without Yamato I wonder? I kinda figured it was required unless she gets another weapon than can cut through space?
Praise be to the Grammar Nazis! *glares at E88* You all can fuck off!Welp that was an interesting build up chapter, though I noticed you kinda love to use past tense in places I think a present tense will be better like:
Which brings me the fact that Tay-Tay is really getting Vergil's angst slowly and surely... also does Taylor have a Changer ability that turns her into Vergil?
Being a white haired masked lanky/sexily thin katana wielding girl kinda really blatantly advertise who she really is.
Is it sad that in my head canon that everytime Dante solds his Devil Arms to the market Rodin nabs them quickly so he can profit of both being powerful demons and owned by a son of Sparda?
1. Uhhh I really am confused how the frak a Shard understoods what are demons knowing the Entities literally operates in hard science, super science yes but not as convulted as the more supernatural/paracusal(?) powers out there.
2. Are the actual supernatural stuff leaks in the Entities sensors without them noticing the unknown variables? Cause if I remember correctly, they choose parallel worlds in a set of parameters that would not disrupt the Cycle or downright what may be actually so weird to them that it hurts their metaphorical brains from understanding.
3. If Taylor got Vergil's powerset, is she a 'Daughter of Sparda' now or does her 'devil' part cames from a diff. 'parentage'.
Kinda shocking she is actually the MC of the sequel tbh, and how she changed from early Worm to that which literally pushes lots of my buttonss.
It won't be canceled, I can assure you of that. As I said, this is a joint effort between myself and another writer (who for various reasons would rather not involve himself on writing platforms), so if I give up on this, he will continue it in my place.Holy fuck STOP READING NOW
Read canon, read the wiki, read the cliff notes, read the bios, but holly fuck STOP READING CANON BEFORE IT KILLS YOU TOO
I have seen too damn many authors go "wow Worm is really inspiring, I better keep reading so i understand more of the story!" And then come back a week or two later with "story is cancelled! Worm is a Fuck! I can't get Wildbows shitty grimderp fantasies out of my head and its killed my ability to even enjoy the fanfics of worm! I regret everything!"
