Deus Pater (Exalted/40k)

I am a little confused as to why people are talking about the effect this choice will have on the wider Imperium and the Warp. This is a vote of entirely personal scope, and it would take more than a few memories from one's past life to overrule the personality and beliefs of someone like Ignatius.

For clarity, the Emperor feels all of these emotions in different measure. This is just a question of which ones you get.

[X] Grief - You remember all that the Emperor most regretted, his greatest sorrows and self-perceived failures. The grief of an immortal is a terrible thing indeed, and oh, there is so much...

Another slam vote.

I mean.

Getting angry at injustice of it all and how cruel it was seems reasonable. Righteous anger and all.

But I am not sure that's precisely what the "Wrath" means here?
I am sorta confused.

What @ManusDomine wrote-in about was nice, but I am not sure that "I fucked up and I am angry at myself first and foremost" is a part of Wrath.

Like, to compare,
[ ] Grief - You remember all that the Emperor most regretted, his greatest sorrows and self-perceived failures. The grief of an immortal is a terrible thing indeed, and oh, there is so much...

[] Wrath - You remember the fury of a god and the faces of those who drove him to such extremes. You remember what he did to those who enraged him so, and the scars his fury left on the world.

I think Manus's write-in, despite accompanying Wrath vote, actually fits Grief vote better.

[X] Pride - You remember the Emperor's greatest triumphs, the deeds that pleased him most. Some were his own, some were performed by others, all hold a special place in his heart.

Seems like an interesting contrast to the otherwise seemingly humble nature of our character.

So, how many of the psykers spontaneously combusted when they touched the Exaltation? Generally speaking, Sparks of Exaltation are something unworthy souls should handle with care...

10,000 years the Emperor has held and for 10,000 years he has watched his work rot while they chant his name.

No more.

We are the Children of the Emperor, His chosen and we bear the grief of all that tragedy we and our Father could not prevent and it drives us onwards to make things better

Frankly, nothing else befits the Corpse Emperor.

Let us know his failings, know his mistakes, so that we might do better.

Also, I'm pretty sure we'd have a hard time explaining why all the psyker's brains fried if we took Wrath. Maybe they'll fry regardless. Maybe they won't at all. To be fair, a sanctioned psyker has already been brought before the Emperor according to some of the fluff.

So, just for curiosity's sake, what Charm would we have gotten if we Spared or Rehearsed?
