Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

By the way, in response to the question on the first page, "therefore" works with Incorrect Grammar's fighting abilities like this:

Her ability basically reverses logic. As such, instead of going, "That magical girl is much stronger than me, therefore I don't stand a chance against her", she goes, "That magical girl is much stronger than me, therefore I can beat her easily".

Already noticed. It was a joke.

I was looking through LDJ's Bible of Abilities, and I had a couple of thoughts on a couple of them that may end up relevant.
World Sphere: An overwrite effect on the local area, pretty much turning the user into a miniature Divine Being while inside that area. If used within the influence of a weaker Divine Being, it'll outright kill that DB and use its power to permanently rewrite the area to allow the user's influence.
First off, this! Fucking! Ability! Hi, Ichi! Is Unlimited Blade Works still a blasted wasteland? 'Cause this screams UBW-style Reality Marble. This would also explain how Goddess Grey is Number Two in the Top Ten. Can't get much more bullshit than this unless your name is Rei.

Ray: An attack that is functionally continuous. So long as the user has an available attack per turn to use, they can launch a constant assault using the spell or weapon.
I foresee this being an upgrade for Nep's Purifier Beam later on.

Yeah that and the Disintegrate family:
Shred: Weakest version of Disintegrate.

Disintegrate: Self explanatory. Also leaves a 10% Base Resilience debuff (Based on the attack's damage) on the targets that survive. If the Resilience it reduced to 0, it auto-kills the target.

Erase: Stronger version of Disintegrate.
seem to fit the best to Purifier Beam's demonstrated abilities.

I've been wondering if Grey had an UBW expy hidden somewhere, so that ability is a distinct possibility.

Last time we purchased upgrades, Ray was one of my predictions for what possible new abilities were for the Purifier Beam (alongside a few other things, including the correct Smite).

Personally, I can't wait until we reveal the right shop item to add the Spell Boost ability to the Purifier Beam! Consider that the Purifier Beam's Base Damage is currently far higher than the Base Damage of Starshine, and a significant percentage of the Base Damage of Celestial Severance.

On that note, @LostDeviljho
Take a look at the Dazzle ability in the status effect portion of your ability list. You left out a space in "Dazzle: Victim", resulting in it reading as "Dazzle:Victim"

I was wondering when people would put those together. Though it's not on her character sheet, so what could have it...?

They'd also fit JC.

What makes you think Nepgear can get that ability?

Wasn't that one of those "So obvious it doesn't need to be mentioned" things? I mean, she's fem!GARcher with N/A attacks and I'm pretty sure there was flavor text on it looking like she had blades poking out of her skin when we first met her.

I thought it was obvious with a blade-storm spam/body of blades thing.

The fact that it seems like all of her spells are launched from her weapon, and that's basically exactly what's supposed to give Spell Boost (based on the ability's description)?
Indeed, but you must remember, her "weapon" is basically a release valve:

Indeed, but you must remember, her "weapon" is basically a release valve:
"The Purifier Beam is probably some kind of release valve." That made sense. So long as you held the trigger, the Purifier Beam had never seemed to run out of charge for it's attack. It would spout a continuous beam of energy so long a the 'valve' was open... "Well... Let see if I'm right."
Then consider how Starshine was made/discovered:
If the theory holds, you'd be able to over-charge your Purifier Beam with magic, and subsequently use an entirely different ability.
The Purifier Beam can't add anything to the spell through Spell-Boost, because said weapon is the source of said spells, and said channelling capacity is being used to cast spells in the first place.

Basically, Nepgears spells are using the energy the Purifier Beam releases in a controlled, refined way, instead of raw.

We've seen how much a Divine MG can get from this mission. But how much would a Story [M.E.C.A. Force] get from what's happened so?

It's to bad our teammates power up narrativly instead of via XP. They would be EVEN MORE SWOLE then they are now if they got Experience like Nep did.

Indeed. Especially since it requires them to accomplish stuff, like, say, using METEOR to kill a really powerful Magical Girl.
Meh. Our Entire Team, with the exception of Raven, are already total badasses. Poor Judgement Core needs love to you know! Not to mention a boost to her self-esteem because DAMN has it dropped like a brick from Nepgear showing off.

It'll be interesting to see how M.E.C.A. Force's stats look like after this debacle is finished. She looks like she can hold her own in mid-level (by our standards, anyway) fights now, so how will she look after spending the over 5000 XP everyone got from this mission?

...she does get the same amount of XP, right?

No. The order goes Divinity(Cores) > Divinity > Epic > Legend > Myth > Story > Legend Maker > Myth Maker > Story Maker in how easily you gain XP. The Cores do boost the EXP of those around them by 1 level, but that puts her at the Myth level. The previous statement does not have an official WoG assurance supporting it.

Whoops, slight error with my previous post, hit post reply by mistake. Fixed now.
How are the Story Makers supposed to last long in their career?
A few years.

Most tend to stay in a town, taking care of minor problems. And since they're not a major, major threat, they don't have resources directed to getting rid of them, and other targets take priority most of the time.

So basically, they tend to survive until they get unlucky.

Edit: Too be clear, my previous post was me playing around. The above is a mixture of fact(a few years, three to be precise; not being directly targeted for elimination) and speculation based on fact (staying around town, which is the usual behaviour of Magical Girls).

If everything goes right next update, she'll get that boost she's needed.
