Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

[X]Trust Goddess White. Something's off about this whole thing, but you don't want to fight her if you can help it. You need more information.

Idk, I want to see what White is planning for now.

By the way; anyone else thinking what Rei wanted to talk to Nepgear about was a message to pass onto San? Rei figuring out that on 2/2 missions we've met one of the Goddesses and concluding odds are Nepgear would meet San on her third mission would explain why she was so insistent on coming with Nepgear, well that and her "nightmare" about Nepgear dying to Rei's Black Knight.

Oh and something amusing I just realized but I imagine people have noticed for quite a while:

On Nepgear's first battle (0th Mission) we met Rei (0).
On Nepgear's first mission we met Ichi (1).
On Nepgear's second mission we met Ni (2).
On Nepgear's third mission we met San (3).

[X] Follow Truth. She has a point. And dangerous or not, it's probably the better option between the two.

I wonder when the military will start trying to exploit Nepgear's Weirdness Magnet traits.
Right after we get our first, indefinite, leave, judging by our luck.

And we should get that leave. We've seen more consistently concentrated danger than literally anybody else in the Akashic Pillar.

At the very least, we should just ignore the camp commander and take Rei with us everywhere. If they try to do anything about it then we (meaning every magical girl in the camp) will just laugh at them.

On the outside, Nepgear is still the adorable plushie we now and love... on the inside she's has a thousand yard stare and is going "I've seen some shit man."

I'm a bit surprised that she was surprised about meeting this group actually... although meeting them all at once might be something new I guess.

I'm kind of glad they were at least smart enough to test on rats first at least, but still... if a supersoldier serum did that to them, I'm not comfortable with anyone having it. I think we're going to end up helping whichever WEAPON shows up against the others... dammit, I was hoping we could get them as sisters too. Or at least not-enemies.

*Sigh* Can we induct someone temporarily into our team? *Is thinking about Blessing the WEAPON that shows up with Core Connection*

Also, is the reason we have dreams through the Kaleidoscope because our Core is actually a portal to the it, drawing in "infinite" energy?

Hey guys remember when we used CORE PURGE and it was searching for something?

Now that we have CORE CONNECTION... could that cause CORE PURGE + CC to maybe boost our allies even more or something?

Alternative someone didn't dispose of the human test subjects correctly and let the rats get to them. That lead to a containment breach and oh boy.

Something else to consider; every time we've met one of the Goddesses something traumatic has happened to Nepgear.

Rei: Everyone she knew and loved died. Oh and she got to watch Candy Heart sacrifice herself for Nepgear.

Ichi: Woke up with Richard's corpse atop her and watched Jessica slowly die in front of her.

Ni: Had to kill the newly resurrected Candy Heart and her sister's grave was destroyed before Nepgear had a chance to visit.

Who wants to bet something horribly traumatizing will happen in this mission?

Well, its either searching for our Connections, or for the other Cores. I'm not even sure what over-charging the Connections would do... make them explode? I mean fate hates her, but her powers one of the only things that hasn't backfired on her... yet, so... I'm not sure.

Not necessarily! Gaia has her Assimilation Plot she's working on, so she may want the research as part of her overall plan for that, while Shiva, White and the Maidens want to prevent that from happening.

It's quite possible that we'd end up siding with White and the Maidens.

Also, there seems to be some confusion with the votes. @crystalwatcher, am I correct in that the Truth option is taking a longer, more dangerous route where they investigate stuff on the way down to the basement, in comparison to following White, which is the short, safe path?

And that either way, we're going to end up the middle of the two sides confronting each other?

Because if so, I want to follow and hopefully prevent a fight, or at least get some answers.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense to me. Especially since live human testing is pretty useless early on.

Honestly, I suspect that in busting in the test subjects got loose, and they were safely contained before that happened.

As I understand it Follow Truth involves actually investigating the third floor, IE the one we're on, to get an idea of what's going on instead of just blindly trusting Goddess White is telling the whole truth, rather then going all Kyubey on us.

Also means we'll probably be interrupting, or just flat out running away from, a brawl between multiple Top 10 Magical Girls rather then being caught right smack in the middle of it.

Hence why I asked, I've seen multiple viewpoints. Besides, if they're after something dangerous, and want to keep it out of our hands, wouldn't it make sense that they'd destroy the records and research?

If we're going to be caught up in this conflict, I would prefer we take a shot at preventing the fight from happening, rather then being killed suddenly by a stray attack. And going down means we'll likely see what they're after, and have a better chance of finding out why.

Also, I think Truth will be investigating no matter what we do.

@crystalwatcher so, uh, important question: how much of a risk are the kaleidoscope dreams?
Because some people have raised concerns as to the trauma levels in omakes, and are afraid we might accidentally make her snap.

You know, we probably shouldn't put out omakes literally involving being brutally eaten alive by a spawn of chaos, resurrected, and then murdered again if we want to avoid trauma, especially when we know IC that that actually happened to somebody we knew was a good person.

I don't think that there was literally anything worse we could have done to her mood, on that Axis.
