Getting robes
Having deciding to meet up with Daphne latter, you start to head to Madam Malkin's store, the professor said that while you did that he would go and grab some of the other things you needed like potions supplies. When you arrived a squat women dressed in mauve waddled up to you smiling.

"Hogwarts, dear?" she said, when you nodded she started to speak again. "Got the lot here -- two young man being fitted up just now, in fact. " She waved her hand and lead you to the back of the shop, where you could see two pale young boys on a footstool.

As you walked forward you nearly gasped, as a sharp warmth bloomed in your chest. Stepping up on a stool next to the two boys before Madam Malkin slipped a long robe over your head, and began to pin it on the right side. The two of them seemed to have been a conversation regarding the value of trying to adapt muggle technology.

"That's you done, my dear," said the person attending the albino, who hoped off the stool before looking to the other boy.

"Guess I'll see you on the train Draco."

Draco smirked at the other boy as he walked out, before looking to you and offering his hand.

"I'm Draco," When you reach out instead of shaking your hand, he kisses the back of it. "Pleasure is most certainly mine." He says with a smirk.

"Hermione Granger, and I think I'll have to disagree. The pleasure is mine."

"Granger... Granger... Can't say that I recall any families in the area named Granger. Might you be a first generation witch?" The question takes you off guard, and after a moment you answer affirmatively.

"Yeah, only just missed the chance to go to Hogwarts this year."

"Cool. It's always so interesting to hear what muggle raised witches and wizards have to say about our world. Father..." the boy pauses for a moment. "Let's just say that my father is... less than interested in seeing what the new blood can bring forth to the Wizarding world. He's all the more a fool for it, but unfortunately, he's a fool I cannot escape for years yet. It would be best if you get 'The Development of Britain Throughout the Ages' and 'A Magi's Primer for Wizards' they are both good introductions for learning about our culture and the basics on how not to offend people like my father. Though for the latter you may also want to read 'How Magi See the World' as it will enplane some of the things that 'A Magi's Primer for Wizards' says."

"Giving advice are you?" A familiar voice from the door, "I was going to mention that to her when we got to the book store." You suddenly realize that it's the voice of the professor.

"Godfather!" Draco called out, smiling at the man, "It's been a while!"

The professor smirked as he walked closer to the two of you. "Seeing you making friends warms my cold and frigid heart," The sarcasm was thick enough that for a moment you were tempted to pull your knife out to see how hard it would be to cut. "This is Hermione, she will be your classmate in the coming years."

The three of you talked about some random things, before Draco's father Lucius showed up. When he arrived you found out that both of you were planing on going to the book store next.

Go with Draco? You will still meat up with Daphne either way.

[X] Yes

Snape and Draco will probably avoid mentioning our blood status to Lucius and Lucius himself probably won't ask. I don't see any harm in it, Draco is a good connection to have.

Yeah I'm not supprised by the outcome of this vote. I'm going to go ahead and close the vote. If I don't get the update out tonight then I will get it out sometime tomorrow.

Arriving at Flourish and Blotts booksellers
Your group wanders out of the robe store, with the Professor and Draco's talking to each other on the short walk. It really didn't take you long to arive at the strangest shop you had seen so far, and given the what you were doing today that was saying something.

Hanging from the... crooked three story building was a sign.

Flourish and Blotts booksellers. At first glance the store didn't look too odd.

Then you went inside.

So many shelves. So many books. You've never seen so many books in a single place in your life. Shelves that went from floor to ceiling much like in Ollivanders.

Only that these shelves went from floor to ceiling, and there was only a single floor. These shelves were three stories tall. Three stories tall with ladders attached to them. Ladders that could slide.

And up, just hanging in the air where... pathways? Entire extra floors, just hovering in the air, and you have to climb the ladders to get to them.

Or just go up the stairs at the front, but that only gets you to the second layer... not any of the others.

They were filled to the overflowing and... what...

What!?

After a few minutes of staring at the sign... you begin to realize that this may be the closest thing that there is to a sorting system in the store.

"Let's see..." Snape says, looking around the store. "...Please tell me they haven't decided to 'reorganize' everything again." After a few more moments of staring at the vast number of books... He pulls out the list of books, and with a flick of his wrist, he pulls the paper apart into two identical pieces of paper.

Both completely whole and unripped.

"It looks like they reorganized. Again." Lucius sounded tired, as his shoulders slumped. He looked to the Professor, "They should really let you show them the Dewy Decimal system, it made finding books in the Malfoy Library much easier." He made a copy of the book list and handed one to Draco as the Professor handed the one he made to you. "It looks like we're going to have to wander the store. Here's the list of books you need. You two try and find what books you can. We'll meet back here in an hour. Understood?"

"Yes sir."

With that your two groups split up, at about a half hour of searching, you heard a voice from behind you.

"Hermione, Draco, I see you two have meet up."

The two of you turn to find Daphne joining you.

[ ] What do you talk about while looking for books?

[X]Hogwarts. Snape has told me the basics, but any info would be nice.

Not confident when it comes to write- ins so I went with a basic icebreaker.

Request for story books maybe? Or just interesting ones they know of?

We also got a "Recommended Readings" list from Draco, maybe Daphene has one or two to add?

Hobbies are the only other thing I got, and we only have reading and Swording. Granted the latter is kind of cool on it's own...

OK, so the vote is closed on this one. I'll try and get the update out sometime soon. Though I'm about to move and normaly work 5 days a week, so I'm not sure how soon the update will be.
