Having deciding to meet up with Daphne latter, you start to head to Madam Malkin's store, the professor said that while you did that he would go and grab some of the other things you needed like potions supplies. When you arrived a squat women dressed in mauve waddled up to you smiling.
"Hogwarts, dear?" she said, when you nodded she started to speak again. "Got the lot here -- two young man being fitted up just now, in fact. " She waved her hand and lead you to the back of the shop, where you could see two pale young boys on a footstool.
As you walked forward you nearly gasped, as a sharp warmth bloomed in your chest. Stepping up on a stool next to the two boys before Madam Malkin slipped a long robe over your head, and began to pin it on the right side. The two of them seemed to have been a conversation regarding the value of trying to adapt muggle technology.
"That's you done, my dear," said the person attending the albino, who hoped off the stool before looking to the other boy.
"Guess I'll see you on the train Draco."
Draco smirked at the other boy as he walked out, before looking to you and offering his hand.
"I'm Draco," When you reach out instead of shaking your hand, he kisses the back of it. "Pleasure is most certainly mine." He says with a smirk.
"Hermione Granger, and I think I'll have to disagree. The pleasure is mine."
"Granger... Granger... Can't say that I recall any families in the area named Granger. Might you be a first generation witch?" The question takes you off guard, and after a moment you answer affirmatively.
"Yeah, only just missed the chance to go to Hogwarts this year."
"Cool. It's always so interesting to hear what muggle raised witches and wizards have to say about our world. Father..." the boy pauses for a moment. "Let's just say that my father is... less than interested in seeing what the new blood can bring forth to the Wizarding world. He's all the more a fool for it, but unfortunately, he's a fool I cannot escape for years yet. It would be best if you get 'The Development of Britain Throughout the Ages' and 'A Magi's Primer for Wizards' they are both good introductions for learning about our culture and the basics on how not to offend people like my father. Though for the latter you may also want to read 'How Magi See the World' as it will enplane some of the things that 'A Magi's Primer for Wizards' says."
"Giving advice are you?" A familiar voice from the door, "I was going to mention that to her when we got to the book store." You suddenly realize that it's the voice of the professor.
"Godfather!" Draco called out, smiling at the man, "It's been a while!"
The professor smirked as he walked closer to the two of you. "Seeing you making friends warms my cold and frigid heart," The sarcasm was thick enough that for a moment you were tempted to pull your knife out to see how hard it would be to cut. "This is Hermione, she will be your classmate in the coming years."
The three of you talked about some random things, before Draco's father Lucius showed up. When he arrived you found out that both of you were planing on going to the book store next.
Go with Draco? You will still meat up with Daphne either way.
