The representatives of the Court have gathered here today to discuss the plight of the neighboring country Lavisgran and the troubles they recently have encountered. Of course only the most prestigious of men and women attend the court having earned their right to do so by merit and valor. However...shortly after the discussion began a servant burst into the room and slammed the doors behind him. Quickly he said:

"Good men! The city is under attack! Our own townsfolk are killing each other! Loved ones have turned on one another and the entire city is in a panic! Vampires my King! There are vampires in the city here to turn us into mindless thralls! We've locked up this wing of the castle for your protection good men and women!"

Then the room darkens as a mist appears out of thin air, the windows outside darken to night even though it is daytime. When everyone can get their bearings they can no longer discern each others identities...although everyone can see the Servant who brought them the message is on the ground, his eyes stare dead into the ceiling. One figure approaches and kneels down and confirms what they are all thinking… "He's been drained of blood...there are vampires among us." Many of the Figures gasp and turn to each other backing away. One voice shouts "We must leave!" Then another "No! We must rat out this vampire scum and not let them out, obviously the mastermind is present here. We cannot leave this wing of the castle until they are gone...we will convene every day and figure out who among us is suspicious and eliminate them...but be warned...some of us may be working with the enemy...we start today...right now."

Hello and welcome to my second game of Mafia I am running! The game has been designed for 17 players but can reach up to 19 players and has shrink room thought in if necessary. Players of all experiences are encouraged to have fun with the game! Thank you for showing interest!

A personal thank you for @Pawn Lelouch who has helped me balance out the game to the best of our abilities!

Rules/Player List
Rules

All roles will be randomly assigned.
  • The game will be separated into Day and Night phases. Each Day phase is 72 hours or when hammer drops, each Night phase is 48 hours or when I get all the Night Actions. If you have an extremely good reason, I may give an extension.
  • Don't post during the night phase unless you are the recently lynched player. If you are lynched you are allowed 1 final post of no game value before the next day phase begins.
  • Always always always post at least once per Day Phase! It'd be nice if you did it once every 24 hours.
  • Lynches happen when a single player has received the definite majority of the current votes (is 9 at 16, 8 at fifteen, 8 at 14, etc), ending the day instantly. If no player receives the majority of votes before 72 hours has passed, the player with the plurality of votes will be lynched.
  • When you vote for someone, vote for them by like so: [x] Lynch [player name]. To rescind your vote, vote [x] Null.
  • Do not write illegible, hidden, or coded messages. Invisitext isn't as cute as you think it is.
  • DO NOT DISCUSS THE GAME WITH OTHER PLAYERS OUTSIDE THIS THREAD. Only talk to another player elsewhere if there is something in your role that allows it. If you're talking elsewhere, impersonating other players is not allowed.
  • DO NOT EDIT YOUR POSTS. If you gotta fix something, doublepost.
  • DO NOT DIRECTLY QUOTE YOUR ROLE PM'S. If you gotta mention it, paraphrase.
  • GM reserves the right to distribute information as they see fit in response to attempts to use role card information itself as a verification method, at will. I suggest you don't.
  • When you die, you stop posting. The only exception is if you are lynched, in which case you get one final post.
  • If you've got a question, or you're confused about something, ask me.
  • Finally, do not act against the spirit of the game. This is a nebulous term, but includes such things as "Taking your ball and going home". Always keep fighting for yourself, always be trying to win. Don't give up, basically.

I'm definitely interested, no way I'd miss a game with a setup like this.

Put me in reserves. I probably won't play, since trying to multitask two games went so poorly last time, but I'll probably give it a try if you can't find enough players.

You did fine in both games, the problem ended up being that in both games it was pretty hard to find ground for a push and in one you had only a minute to look at something and say if it's good or not. Most people aren't going to figure out exactly how they feel on it. And in this game you weren't here to defend yourself, yet your points still made a good bit of sense but ah...you fell under the same curse as Cassandraturtle.

True and also not. I shouldn't have let myself get dragged into discussion over the quibbling, especially once I'd decided it was meritless. I'm not as perturbed over buying your claim (although the Silver Tongue award stung a bit), but I shouldn't have been able to be swayed to lynch Qastiel once I'd bought Jyrel's discussion of Qastiel's innocence/guilt.

And yeah, I think the Turtle Curse is going to be a thing whenever a Townie me, Comi, *insert vet* gets lynched, because scum pretty much have to overplay their hand in order to make a "solid" case for the lynch, even if only from the perspective of the lynched Townie.

I don't think that is entirely true. Vets are perfectly able to fuck up, and indeed one of the big points I intend to hammer on when I get back to making the Intermediate Townie Guide is yes you are town and you know it no one else does you still need to not act scummy come on people.

True, but that is the exception I was trying to handle with the comment about the perspective of the lynchee. Not worrying about being scummy as Town is definitely a fault of mine, but from my perspective (and only my perspective, of course), Nictis had to be a little scummy to lynch me last game, even despite my getting dragged into that tarnishing argument.

But fair enough, I was speaking very generally, and you are correct.

So, think this is gonna be a cult game, what with that turning people into thralls and whatnot?

Of course, and still a good amount of room if anyone else wants to join!

Also on that note Nani was that just a question(That I can't answer of course ^_^ ) or was that also an I'm in?

So as it stands I can shrink it reasonably to 14 without changing too much and having to really overthink things. But as I stands I don't even have that amount. So if anyone has people they know might be interested please give them a poke and to any watching who are on the border of joining please do! I'm going to leave this up till about Saturday and then If we don't have enough I'll pass it over for another running of demon's game.

I was mostly asking other players what they thought, to be honest. If it's looking to be probably a cult game, I'd be kind of worried about my ability to perform well given it's been so long, but I'm interested in playing again.

Still need roughly 4 people at minimum on the roster to run at minimum capacity. If your interested please feel free to ask questions before hand or voice interest!

Postponement of the game and Handing of the Derpstick.
Well unfortunately we couldn't even reach the minimum amount of players required to start the game, this is mainly due to school issues or minor personal stuff keeping players from joining rather than lack of interest. As such I'm going to be passing the Derpstick to the next available game(Likely to be the next edition of Arch Demon's game) which I will post in here once it is up. Thank you for those who have signed up and expect to see this game be attempted again at a later date hopefully when more people are available!
