[X] Plan Second Breakfast
-[X] (Homura) What do you talk about over breakfast?
--[X] About Archer's opinion of Kirika now that he's gotten closer to her, and if he still despises her due to her past actions; if you recall correctly, Archer was really against rehabilitating her and Oriko, so is he fine with it now?
--[X] Asking Archer about what he has planned for his first date with Minako, and if he wants any advice from his surrogate daughter who's somehow dated more than him
--[X] Discussing Assassin's NP situation with her and Archer, and whether or not if a Mystic Code might help cover her up from a Mystery standpoint to the point that she could physically interact with things
-[X] (Homura) What do you do after breakfast?
--[X] Bring some more money to deposit later today while you're out with the Archery Club
--[X] Depart for school running out the door with a piece of toast hanging out of your mouth
---[X] Talk to
----[X] Madoka
-----[X] about last night, and if she's still okay with what they discussed; be very anxious and awkward awaiting her reply
----[X] Sayaka
-----[X] informing her when she asks that you and Madoka didn't do anything while you were over at her house, not that you would be against it; what about her and Kyoko?
----[X] Hitomi
-----[X] digging for some juicy gossip with Sayaka about her and Kyousuke
----[X] Everyone
-----[X] telling them all about how Kirika basically called Archer 'Dad' while they were over at the Kaname residence, and how adorable it was
-[X] (Archer) What do you talk about over breakfast?
--[X] How's Homura doing with Kirika as of late? Are they still calling each other 'sis' still?
--[X] How Assassin's feeling in general now that she's been with them for quite some time so far
-[X] (Archer) What do you do after breakfast?
--[X] Brush up on your school work; if you're going to be teaching the Kures, then you probably should be familiar with the material ahead of time
--[X] Minakolunch
--[X] Look up a good movie place to go to with Minako later today
---[X] You'll probably just watch Patisserie Coin de rue, as everything else are anime and short films, or plain just unpopular films; if Minako has a better idea, take it
--[X] Also look up some local tourist spots and attractions; might as well get more familiar with the city and bring Minako along for the ride after watching that movie while having fun, right?

Turns out there weren't that many films being produced and released in Japan in 2011 (and some were even only region specific) in comparison to the rest of the world. Patisserie Coin de rue was one of the most commercially successful ones that were made in Japan and wasn't an anime movie - even though it was released in February, with the significant lack of films produced I'd guess that films typically run longer in Japan than in the U.S. and other larger countries (maybe that's why it takes like a year for blu-rays to come out for films produced in Japan).

Stole NMS' point; there is no end to my theft! /s :V

You know... it's stunning how easily kids get over little things like having their legs blown off.

But really, it really is much easier to make up when you are young compared to when you get older.

[X] Plan Second Breakfast
Don't think he knows about second breakfast, Enetious.

My knowledge of Japanese cinema is restricted pretty much exclusively to Godzilla and whatever Wikipedia tells me, but if Shin Godzilla could pretty much rule Japanese cinemas for the better part of a year back in 2016, I think it's fair to say that "one of the more commercially successful" movies could realistically still be in theaters two months after release, especially in a big city like Mitakihara.
(maybe that's why it takes like a year for blu-rays to come out for films produced in Japan).
I know this one because of how intimately tied up this issue is in western releases of Godzilla media.

The reason Blu-Rays take longer to come out of Japan is because Japanese companies are terrified of reverse-imports. Japan's consumer goods market never quite got over it when the economic bubble burst, and a lot of stuff that the west takes for granted is super expensive in Japan. So there's a big fear among Japanese media companies that, if they let stuff release all at the same time, Japanese buyers will import Western copies for cheaper than they could buy domestically, so they stagger releases so that anything reaching the west only does so after it's been available domestically for a few months. In addition, the western releases often get the shaft when it comes to special features, to incentivise not only Japanese, but western consumers as well, to buy the more expensive Japanese releases in order to get the added goodies.
You know... it's stunning how easily kids get over little things like having their legs blown off.

But really, it really is much easier to make up when you are young compared to when you get older.
It's even more stunning when you remember that even though it's only been a few weeks in-thread, in real life it's been over a year since then.

It's happening when Homura first meets up with Madoka, before they meet up with Sayaka and Hitomi. It's not too public, it's purposefully vague, and it's a simple yes or no question. :p
I'm still kinda skeptical. It's open to misinterpretation too. besides, this goes beyond just saying yes or no.

I'm still kinda skeptical. It's open to misinterpretation too. besides, this goes beyond just saying yes or no.
There is literally only one single thing that Madoka could interpret that as (reasonably). And giving reassurance doesn't require specific detail. If you really want me to remove it from the vote, though, feel free to say so; ultimately it's simply just something to fill up the talking slots on their way to school.

What's a good time for me to post in order to maximise the number of voters? I notice that, usually, the later (my time) that I post, the longer it takes to get voters, but then the last time I posted on the earlier side it took over 24 hours to get enough votes to move ahead; so, what's a QM supposed to do, outside of literally beg his players for votes?

Force me to have a regular sleep cycle :V

But seriously, you tend to update when it's close to midnight for me, but because I stay up so late, I've been able to vote. But sometimes, I don't read right away because I'm distracted by youtube or playing games or reading other stuff, so my vote is delayed, and I'm sorry about that because you really need them (if it didn't, I'd probably lurk like I do for the majority of quests I follow). I'm starting to try and develop a routine, so I may not be available when you upload.

Funny, because when I post on the later side of things, it's often midnight on my end. Try getting a job, if you don't already have one. That usually helps keep me in a regular sleep schedule, otherwise I'll go to sleep at 2, and wake up at 2 the following afternoon.
Considering my vote was stolen, I have no reason not get a new one.
I hope you have an insurance policy to help reimburse you for all these votes Enetious keeps stealing.

looking through my alerts for your past 5 updates, you've done one at 3:30 AM, one at 7:30 PM, one at 1:30 PM (that was a day end update though), one at 11:30 PM and one at midnight.

Day 39 Chapter 3
[X] Plan Second Breakfast

"You're quite the busy man," you say, as the sight of Archer cooking breakfast for you is the first thing you see as you meander into the kitchen. With Assassin nowhere in sight, Amy is hot on your heels; she's just as hungry for her morning meal as you are. She won't have to wait, as Archer has already filled her food and water dishes, but you aren't so lucky. Well, you're lucky enough, you suppose, to have someone who does the cooking and cleaning for you. You can wait awhile longer if that's the trade-off you're making.

"Whatever do you mean?" Archer asks, taking just enough of a pause to address your arrival.

"You're keeping yourself busy helping the Kures with their studying, and cooking breakfast for them, and as soon as you're done you're right back here cooking breakfast for me as well."

Archer smiles, leaning over to give you a hug as you wander close to see what he's cooking for you. "Well, you're my daughter. I can't just ignore you, can I?" You smile, melting into your father's embrace as you- Ooh, pancakes.

Archer finishes breakfast as soon as the two of you let go of one another, and with a call of "Assassin, breakfast is ready!" the three of you sit down at the table to eat. You take a moment to let the taste of Archer's delicious, fluffy breakfast batter melt in your mouth, before swallowing your first delicious bite and asking "So, now that you've gotten closer to the Kures, do you still feel the same way as before about Kirika? I recall you used to despise her because of the choices she and Mikuni Oriko made, and were against Tomoe-san and I rehabilitating them; but now that you've gotten to know her better, does the same still hold true?"

Archer looks very much like a cow chewing its cud as he mulls your question over. He swallows the food in his mouth, and say "Well... I guess it's a lot harder to hate someone when you get to know them better, isn't it? I know for a fact that Minako wouldn't have it if I told her that I hated her daughter; and after learning that Kirika's Element and Origin are in alignment, I kind of understand where she's coming from with how loyal she is to Mikuni. Really, Mikuni's the only one I should be pissed at; Kirika was just along for the ride because she couldn't make any other choice." You nod; Archer would know all about that, wouldn't he? After all, you've seen what kind of mindscape is born from having an aligned Element and Origin with your own eyes. "What about you? Are you and she still calling each other 'sis'?"

"Yes. As a matter of fact, she called me 'sis' just last night." Granted, you don't want to remember the insinuation Kirika made that came packaged with her calling you 'sis'. "Have you and Kure Minako decided what you want to do for you date tonight?"

"I'm taking her out to the movies. I don't know what's playing, so it'll be an adventure for both of us." You only know that the Pretty Cure movie is playing; maybe Madoka would like to go to the movies with you again, if there's something else playing she'd like to see. "After that... Again, I don't really know. I figure we'll just let our whims decide for us."

"Well, if you think you need advice on how to proceed, you're always welcome to ask me." How you have more dating experience than the man who is supposed to be your father, you'll never know. You turn to Assassin, feeling that now would be a good time to ask Archer about that thing you were thinking of last night. If anyone in your family would have the answer, it's probably him. "So, last night I was talking with Assassin about ways we might be able to keep other people safe from her poisons, while still allowing her to go out and interact with the world.." You look to Assassin for her approval to continue this train of thought; she nods. "She didn't like the idea I proposed, but there's something else I was curious about that I wanted to ask you- Do you think we could have someone create a Mystic Code that could... I don't know, 'cover up' her poison to the point that she could interact with things?"

"Master, I thought I said last night that I did not wish to reject that part of myself."

"You wouldn't be," you reply. "At least, not the way my previous suggestion would. You would still be you, and your body would still be your body; and rather than turning that part of you off, what I'm proposing is something that would allow you to safely interact with people while that part of you was still active." Assassin stares at you, as though she still has her doubts about your new suggestion. "Would that be possible?" you ask Archer.

"It should be, although I'm not the person you'd be asking to have make this... Maybe Rin would be willing to help, once this is all over..." Just when you think you've lost Archer to his own thoughts, he returns, asking Assassin "So, now that it's been awhile, aside from this, how are you feeling about living here with us?"

"I have been enjoying my time here very much. My master has been kind and generous to me, and the abundance of food and luxury in this city makes me feel things I did not know I could feel. But, the more my master wishes for me to interact with the normal world, the more I realise that who I am as a person is a hindrance to her desires; and I do not like how this new feeling conflicts with my previous experiences with her."

[ ] Drop the matter entirely; it's clearly making Assassin uncomfortable
[ ] Go ahead in secret; what Assassin doesn't know won't hurt your friend
[ ] Go ahead; make sure Assassin knows that you're doing what's best

"Homura-chan! Good morning!"

Your heart is accustomed to skipping a beat when you hear the voice of your angel and see her waving to greet you, but today is different. As you and Madoka embrace, you aren't thinking about how wonderful it is to see her; instead, you're worried that over the course of the night, Madoka has come to have second thoughts about what you told her. "Good morning to you as well, Madoka," you say, embracing your girlfriend with more hesitation than you usually do. "Did you sleep well?" "Did you decide you hated me after what I told you?"

"Mhm, I slept like a log," Madoka says, reciprocating your hug with all the warmth and enthusiasm as always. But when your gestures of affection come on weak, a concerned look appears in her eyes, and she asks "Homura-chan, is something wrong?"

"I'm just... Worried, about how you're taking what I said to you last night," you say. "That's all. It's not important. You shouldn't let something like that bother you if it is."

"Homura-chan..." Madoka redoubles her efforts to enforce enthusiastic affections upon you. "I think it's bothering you a lot more than it bothers me. I... I guess I'm still trying to process everything you told me, and I'm still not sure that I believe all that stuff you said; but I believe you, Homura-chan; and if what you told me is bothering you, then it's important to me, even if I don't know if I believe it."

"Then, you don't hate me because of that? You don't hate me because I've failed you?"

Madoka shakes her head. "Even if they were me, I don't know the other me's. But I know you, Homura-chan, and I know you're still trying your hardest for me." Madoka breaks her hug, taking your hand into her own; it is, after all, time for the two of you to get going. "You haven't failed yet, Homura-chan. Not until you stop trying."

Madoka, how can you be so kind?

"Hey! You two!" And here comes Sayaka, right on schedule. Behind her, as she races to catch the two of you, is Hitomi, looking far prouder of herself than you can recall in recent memory. Something good must have happened for her last night, you think. "How's everything going? You two find time to have a little heart-to-heart in prviate last night, eh?" Sayaka nudges your arm with her elbow, and like a bad comedy skit pushes on with her ribalding in a "Eh, eh, know what I mean, know what I mean" sort of fashion. Not that you'd particularly mind, if Madoka were amiable... Oh, no; it's too late. Kirika's influence is already corrupting your mind.

"Sayaka-san, stop that," Hitomi says, thankfully pulling the Blueberry away from you before she has the chance to do irreparable harm to Madoka's purity.

"We had the chance to speak, if that's what you're referring to; but that's all we did. The same, I'm sure, cannot be said for you and Kyouko."

"Hey, that's not true!" It wouldn't be so hard to keep a straight face right now, if Sayaka weren't so irresistibly fun to tease. The shoe must really fit poorly when it's on her other foot. "I mean sure, we kissed a little... Okay, a lot, but we didn't do anything dirty; not like what you're implying."

"Sayaka-san, I know you've always been the one to want Madoka-san and Akemi-san to be comfortable kissing, but don't you think you and Sakura-san are moving too fast? The two of you didn't even wait to start kissing, as far as I can tell."

"Well, we kind of didn't. Heck, that little brat stole my first kiss just a few minutes after we confessed. But, it's like this- Kyouko's really into that whole 'sieze the day' kind of thing, you know, 'cause waiting doesn't do you much good when you might not live to see tomorrow. That's how she explained it to me, anyway."

"I see..."

"And what about you?" you ask Hitomi. "How are things going for you?"

"Well, Kamijou-kun thinks he might be done with his physical therapy soon," Hitomi says, her voice bubbling with mirth. "He's looking to get back into playing music again; and he's hoping to be ready to participate in time for the first recital of the summer season." But Hitomi's smile doesn't end there; she's got more still to come. "And I finally did it! I cracked the Code, if you will; and now I'm ready to put a little hint of the Mystic into my work. I've even got an idea for what I want to make first."

"Oh?" This is good news indeed. And if Hitomi's cracked it, that means she'll be able to teach Sayaka when you or Archer aren't around, which looks like it'll be increasingly frequent. "Tell us more. What's the genius first-generation Shizuki-chan got in mind to make first?"

Hitomi blushes, shying away at your affectionate praise. "Well, actually the idea comes from an anime Sayaka-san once tried to show me. One of the main characters had the ability to manipulate the oxygen density in the air, and combined with a spark he was able to make fire. I thought, if my Element is supposedly Wind, then something that allows me to play with the density of the air might be a good place for me to start."

Sayaka smiles; you don't know how long ago she tried to show this series, whatever it is, to Hitomi, but if she's getting any use out of it then more power to Sayaka. "Well, I'm glad to hear that your efforts have paid off, and I look forward to seeing the fruits of your labour."

"Well, maybe..." Hitomi presses her fingers in on each other, and says "You'd like to help me put it together? I have the theoretical knowledge down, but I'd still like some pointers from someone who's actually made one; if that's alright with you, Akemi-san?"

[ ] Yes, you can help Hitomi (skip hanging out with the archery club to help her)

I've watched enough dramas to know where this is going. :V
Better to just drop the matter for now, and figure things out in the sequel (assume we don't get Homura and co Bad Ended).

Homura always has time for "the genius first-generation Shizuki-chan"!
Madoka shakes her head. "Even if they were me, I don't know the other me's. But I know you, Homura-chan, and I know you're still trying your hardest for me." The Incubator definitely overheard this, and it's definitely going to extrapolate correctly that Homura's a time traveller of some kind.

... Eh, maybe it'll finally do something interesting then, as opposed to it taking the back-seat during this whole quest running damage control.

@WanderingTwix, what time is it for you now?
3:30 AM. I would be in bed, but my friends dragged me into playing games with them.

This is what I was worried about. Because it really was more than just yes and no. But eh, it's on me for not pushing you.

Hey, this is more my fault for not giving into the Dark Side and relapsing with a bunch of detail, not you preventing me from maybe voting something that may or may not cause Madoka to use specific words or phrases that could be overheard by the Incubator. :V

But Twix, you should still feel guilty about not pushing Enetious hard enough. Maybe this will incentivise you to get involved more often in the future, hint hint.

I allowed it because I thought that, while talking about it may be bad, I didn't think that they wouldn't talk about it. It's just that important.

I probably should have included it alongside the options here, but
A: When is the "later" that we're planning on helping Hitomi?
B: The usual- What's our school day looking like?

As you said, the usual up until Lunch where talking points could be prompted. You could probably switch on over to Archer's POV until that comes up, where we'll come up with conversation topics.
