You did the thing were you pinged me to vote when I already voted, again.
It was a very incomplete vote.
(Sorry for the inconvenience though )
Dammit @Enetious !!! I'm a story lurker, not a quest voter!

But we need you, Slayer. Who else is going to call "Slayer" at the beginning of a deathmatch between Homura and some living enemy (wow, we really pacifist routed Homura this quest, I'm really proud of everyone) if that ever happens, if not you? :V

Huh...? Not only do you have a point (and I'm touched that you think so), I for some reason now want a crossover between PMMM and Doom 2016/Eternal with Homura as the native version of the Doom-Slayer.

What title would be fitting for her? Witch-Slayer? Angel-Slayer (for killing Kriemhild Gretchens 'Angels' i.e. Familiars)? Meguca-Slayer (magical girl version of the Magus-Killer)?

Any ideas people?

Homura would stomp. Stomp-Slayer.

Magi-Slayer, Madoka-Saver, Devil-Slayer (since Homura becomes "the Devil" in Rebellion).

EDIT: Time-Slayer would work as well.

Day 35 Chapter 3
[X] Plan Social Interaction

You've tried your hardest to pay attention in class today, but something about what Nagatsuki Miyuki said to you earlier has been bothering you. She said she had developed a rash on the back of her hand; normally, that wouldn't be any particular cause for alarm in and of itself, but it's the facts surrounding the case that give you pause for concern.

For starters, you're pretty sure that puella magi aren't even able to get rashes. The ability to heal the body with magic should have taken care of any rash Nagatsuki Miyuki developed in short order; certainly, if she noticed it some time last night, it should have healed itself by now. The fact that it hasn't means she's either picked up something that's stronger than her magic's regenerative abilities, which is terribly disconcerting; or it means it isn't a rash at all, but some sort of magical reaction working against her body's ability to heal itself.

You turn your hand over, so that your Command Seals are facing towards you. You recall once, some time ago, how Mikuni Oriko described a situation wherein she was witness to one of her victims manifesting Command Seals in the middle of their fight. You know that Nagatsuki Miyuki is a potential master of the Saber servant. You rub the back of your hand, tracing the pattern drawn on your flesh with the flat of your thumb as you wonder; could Nagatsuki Miyuki be close to manifesting her Command Seals?

If she is, you don't know how good that development will be for your team. While she may not be hostile right now, the addition of the last servant to her faction may be cause to worry. You let them all go without Geising them. Is there a chance Nagatsuki Miyuki adding the Saber servant to her side might make you regret that decision?

You're out of time. You'll have to press Hitomi for her answer as soon as possi- "Hey Akemi, you in there?"

You blink, snapping your head to attention as the voice of Mochizumi-san fills your ears. "I asked if everything was alright. You were kinda zoning out there for a bit."

"My apologies," you say, hiding your Command Seal-laden hand away from your fellow project teammates. "I guess there's more on my mind than I realised." You try to recall how far along your group is with your project, but you find that in your ruminations you've been acting on autopilot. "I'm sorry to ask, but... Do you think you could refresh my memory on how far we've gotten today?"

Satomi Kaede is the one to respond, saying "Well, we've taken care of most of the note-taking we'll need for the book itself, but I've been thinking lately that we might also want to look into taking notes on the author as well. That way, we'll have that much more information once we're ready to compile our finished report."

"I see." Most of the note-taking for the book itself is done, but there's still information to be gleaned about the author. You've had so much on your plate lately that you haven't had time to pay attention to as many things as you would have liked, so knowing where you stand with respect to this project is good to know. "Thank you." You offer a smile to your group; there's still some time left before the bell for lunch rings, so you say "Now, let's get back to work, shall we?"

You notice a distinct lack of Tomoe-san at the lunch table as you make your way to the cafeteria. You look around for her, hoping to spot some trace of her golden curls at one of the other tables. Maybe she's taking the initiative and speaking with a boy she's had her eyes on, you think, but your cursory scan of the cafeteria reveals nothing. Wherever Tomoe-san is, it isn't here.

"Homura-chan!" But Madoka is here, and that's plenty good enough for you.

Fitting with today's theme of 'making things to worry about because you don't have anything to worry about' you think the time has come to reveal the truth about you to Madoka. Not right now, of course, but "Madoka, I... I have something important I need to speak with you about, the next time we're alone together."

Madoka's face turns bright red, something shared between her, Sayaka, and Hitomi. Hitomi in particular has brought her hands up to cover her gasping mouth, while Sayaka whispers "No freaking way" just loud enough for you to hear her. "Homura-chan, I... I don't know what to say... I mean, we haven't even kissed yet. I..."

The response around the table is surprising to you, until you realise that you've been fiddling with the ring of your Soul Gem while you've been speaking. "Oh! No, no, I'm not talking about marriage." Not that you'd be opposed to marriage, assuming Japan ever legalises same-sex marriage. "I'm sorry, I didn't realise the signals I was sending. It is important though, and I'd prefer to speak with you about it alone, when you have the chance."

"Mhm." Madoka nods, but the blistering scarlet colouring her face doesn't fade for quite some time. "Right. I understand, Homura-chan."

"Hey, so what about us, huh?" Sayaka asks, feigning indignation despite her eyes being focused elsewhere; namely, at your lunch box. "You gonna propose to either of us any time soon; or are we just not good enough?"

"Alright, I'll propose to you," you say, meeting Sayaka's fake indignation with a devious smirk. "I'll propose that you and Hitomi join me after school today so that we can all study magecraft together. We did just get an influx of good material, after all."

"Yes, I think tonight will be a good night for me to join you," Hitomi says. "I am so looking forward to studying the materials that Tohsaka-san has brought over. Hvaving actual study material to work with should be a welcome improvement over going it alone with just Archer's basic lessons to guide me."

"I'm glad to hear that." However, what you have to say next to Hitomi is something you're much less glad for. "There is something else I need to speak with you about- I need to know whether or not you're willing to summon Saber for me. I know I said I'd give you time, but time is something we've run out of, and I need your answer now."

Hitomi stares at you, pursing her lips as you continue. "I have reason to believe that one of the girls from Shirome who belongs to the rival faction may be close to summoning Saber ahead of us. We only just managed to resolve things between my team and hers last night, fortunately without any bloodshed. However, I'm worried that something like this, which would give their side a powerful asset, might be enough to tip things back to an unfavourable position. So if at all possible, I'd like to prevent her from summoning Saber. That's why I need your answer now, so that if you're unwilling to do this I'll still have time to find someone else who will. Again, I really am sorry for pushing this onto you, and I'll understand if you don't want the responsibility."

Hitomi remains silent as you speak, with not even the sound of her breathing ever rising enough to disturb the table. "I see," she eventually says. "Well, in that case, I'm sorry, but I don't think I can do it at this time." That's disappointing. "While I understand your reasons for pushing me, Akemi-san, I don't believe I'm ready to handle the responsibility your request would thrust upon me."

"That's disappointing to hear, but I'll respect your decision." You can ask no more of Hitomi beyond that.

"Good afternoon everyone!" Tomoe-san calls out, as she approaches the table with Kure Kirika in tow. "I would have been here sooner, but Kure-san took some convincing to get her to join us again." Tomoe-san smiles as she takes her seat, and once seated both she and Hitomi scoot over to allow Kure Kirika the space to join.

"Good afternoon, Tomoe-san," you say, waiting until Madoka, Sayaka, and Hitomi have greeted Tomoe-san before taking your turn to speak, adding "Big Sis," for Kure Kirika.

"Okay, seriously, what the heck is up with you today?" the object of your playful jabs asks. "'Cause you didn't used to be like this before. Did you hit your head or something?"

"What ever could you be talking about?" you ask, feigning innocence in your voice as you give Kure Kirika your response. "I'm simply greeting my big sis the way I always have." When Kure Kirika narrows her eyes at you, you decide to stop. She's done this much to improve her standing in your eyes; you see no reason to antagonise her if it's going to make her do something which would lower that standing. "In all seriousness, there is something I need to get your thoughts on if Archer and your mother do end up together."

"Yeah? And what's that?"

"Do you think that if they get together, the dragon will come and give them another kid; or will having the both of us be enough to prevent that from happening?"

Kure Kirika stares at you in shock. "Are you stupid or something?" she asks; a question whose asking you see no reason for. "What the heck are you talking about; a dragon? What kind of talk did Archer give you about babies?"

"Was Archer mistaken when he told me about the dragon?"

You don't like the look on Kure Kirika's face, nor do you like the way in which she relishes the word "Sister" as she speaks it to you. "You've got a lot to learn about how babies are made. Since Archer apparently gave you a really crappy talk, how about I tell you what really happens, huh? Lemma tell you all about what my mom told me..."

[x] Sit through the Talk 2.0
-[x] next time you see Archer, slap him.
--[x] For the rest of the school day, try and figure out who you can get to summon Saber for you.
---[x] When school ends, head to your place for some magic practice with Sayaka and Hitomi
----[x] When that's done, look for someone to be Saber's master
-----[x] Realize you're too late and Saber has already been summoned.

@NMS don't tempt SVS to activate the Saber summoning flag, plez no. :o

[X] Plan The Talk (NMS Edition)
-[X] Be scarred for life
--[X] Next time you see Archer slap him for making you go through this horror and embarrassment in public, but apologize afterwards
---[X] Give nothing away in the telepathic calls you give him between then
--[X] Be unaware of the stares and expressions of horror coming from your friends and girlfriend as Kirika explains the dragons and the wyverns to you in public
---[X] Be comforted by your girlfriend afterwards
-[X] Telepathically call Archer and inform him on the more pressing situation they have on their hands, what with Miyuki potentially going to automatically summon Saber in the near future and Hitomi refusing the responsibility of summoning a Servant at this time; ask him if he has any ideas on how to solve this issue before it's too late
--[X] (Archer) Inform Homura about the possibility of having Sayaka summoning Saber with the drawback of not being able to supply magical energy to whoever she summons; Madoka summoning Saber before opening her Magic Circuits, and then opening them to supply magical energy to them to prevent any explosive mishaps; then finally the Gilgasolution, where you see if you can't convince Gilgamesh to pull the Gacha himself like Medea did in your war with False Assassin
---[X] (Archer) After you're done delivering Lunch to Minako (Is it just you or is Minako more dressed up today than usual? Why is Junko grinning at you and Minako like that?) go to the RooftopTM and engage in some conversation with Caster
----[X] (Archer) Ask him if it would be possible and if he could summon Saber, using the Medea from your previous Grail War(s) as an example, now that Hitomi has decided not to summon Saber; you'd be more than willing to supply a more directly related catalyst for whatever Servant he may or may not want to summon in such a scenario, since the prototypes probably won't cut it as they're Gilgamesh's possessions alone

If you're wondering about the "glint in her eyes" bit, I'm pretty sure it's more socially acceptable for someone to really berate someone (particularly in public) if they're related in some way in Japan, assuming they're not already a teacher/respected upperclassman/boss or something like that. I don't think Madoka will take Kirika corrupting her girlfriend's innocence all too well, after all. Also poor Hitomi, I'm not sure how much more her heart can take at this point.

Hm, tell me if I'm wrong, but couldn't Gilgamesh summon Enkidu as a Servant with Enkidu? Or is Enkidu one of those anomalous "unsummonable in normal circumstances" Servants in F/GO?

Cutting off my vote here as to not over bloat the next update, however what will probably happen next is that Homuta gets the Magecraft gang all together and they get tutored by Archer with the material RIn brought on over (and who knows, maybe Rin will surprise visit them and help them out?) where Homura will specifically be studying Mystic Code construction.

We don't control the actions of other characters. This Madoka bit is a no-go.

By that logic, we should also be offended at Kirika corrupting Madoka's innocence as well. Unless Homura.exe has stopped running, like how Hitomi.exe has.

Enkidu cannot be summoned, but not because he's some kind of special anomalous unsummonable servant. Enkidu can't be summoned because Saber isn't one of his applicable classes.
see if you can't convince Gilgamesh to pull the Gacha himself like Medea did in your war with False Assassin
I am the Senate Gacha.

Removed. Also Madoka is probably less innocent than Homura in this case due to actually being in school when sex-ed happened. :p

Enkidu can be whatever weapon he wants. :V

To be fair, Enkidu isn't exactly a Lancer and he doesn't even primarily use any actual "lances" in the traditional sense; in fact he can technically summon whatever type of weapon he wants using the second NP, Age of Babylon, which is probably how he pulls off his attacks in Grand Order in the first place. Though I understand if you don't want to redo some of his char sheet in preparation of a class change, even though nothing much would actually change due to Enkidu being very variable in status thanks to his nature and his Transfiguration skill.
I am the Senate Gacha.
Not. Yet.

Make your tribute of quartz to ensure we roll a good Saber. Otherwise you'll just get Black Keys, Mapo Tofu, and Saber Gilles.
B-b-but I already spent all of my 30ish Saint Quartz rolling in the Semiramis Valentines Gacha earlier and got nothing worthwhile out of it! :O

Hey, I'll have you know the only Saber Servants I currently have are two Gilles and a Fergus! Haven't gotten any Mapo Tofu yet though; who wouldn't want to try Kotomine's famous Mapo Tofu after all?

Does me summoning Enkidu (my only 5-star) around when I first started playing around a week or two ago count for anything? :V

Well then maybe you shouldn't have done that, because now you have no quartz left to spend on summoning a servant that actually matters.
Hey, I'll have you know the only Saber Servants I currently have are two Gilles and a Fergus!
Let's be real here; there's a certain caliber of servant that's to be expected of this quest; Saber Gilles and Fergus just don't cut it around here. Come back when you've summoned a Saber servant that's actually worthy of hanging with the rest of our team's roster.

No

L-listen, I'll get you your Saint Quartz by the end of the in-quest day! I just have to spend some time getting through more of the Orleans Singularity and I'm sure I'll have enough Saint Quarts for a 10x summon by then. (Please don't hurt me, I have to take care of all of my of Arash/Hans/Spartacus/Wolfgang/Sasakis, they won't survive without me to feed them QP)

You can't really do much else for Asako Koito if she won't accept the terms of your Geis again, so instead you say "Alright, give me your Soul Gems then. It's been a few days, so I imagine they'll be needing cleansing."

Namekata Akira and Nagatsuki Miyuki hand their Soul Gems over. Namekata Akira's lime-green star is cloudy, but still clearer than Nagatsuki Miyuki's wine-red rose; you cleanse them both, using up one Grief Seed in the process. It's not as though it matters. You've held on to Seeds worse than this for longer than the day you'll need before Lancer can clean it for you. That just leaves Asako Koito.
Ah, SVS, before we forget, Homura should have one spent Grief Seed in her shield. Also, to clarify, are things in stasis in Homura's shield, or does it have some kind of spacial effect that prevents the items within it from being contaminated by things that could damage or rust said items like air? I'm guessing that it's the latter, in which case we should be getting this seed to Lancer posthaste before it hatches?

Since we have Lancer helping us out with Inguz, I'm just going to not kep track of the distinction between usable and used on our visible character sheets from now on. I'm just going to keep track of Grief Seeds on a separate sheet for my own use so I can more accurately track what's been used and what's still good without having to guess like I did this time.

Day 35 Chapter 4
[X] Plan The Talk (NMS Edition)

Is it just you, or is Kure Minako dressed nicer than usual? No, that can't be right... She's clearly wearing the same suit she was wearing yesterday, but she somehow looks nicer, you guess you'd say, today than she did yesterday. "Kaname-san-" Eyes dart to the smirking mother standing beside her, and Kure Minako quickly corrects herself. "-Junko-san gave me some tips on how to properly do makeup. Do you like it?"

Now that she mentions it... "Well, your face does look like it has a bit more colour to it than yesterday," you say, handing off today's lunch. "So all in all, I'd say you did a good job."

"Thanks." While you're standing there, Kure Minako plays with a few strands of her hair. "I... I never really had time to learn a lot of things growing up, so having Junko-san around to help me, well, learn how to be a woman, has been really great."

The mother Kaname nods; while her presence here was a shock to you yesterday, today you find yourself wondering if she's always going to be standing around while you're delivering lunch to the mother Kure; and if she is, you hope she won't always have such a devious smirk plastered across her face. "So Archer, I was talking with Tomo last night, and I realised that we've never formally invited you over for dinner. For God's sake, your daughter is dating our daughter, but we only ever see you for a few moments when we're picking up our kids from the other's place. So we were thinking, how would you and Homura like to come over to our place for dinner one night? Say..." You really don't like that devious smirk, and when she says "Friday or Saturday night, maybe? Would either of those times work for you?" that's when you know something is up. She wouldn't have picked the nights Kure Minako doesn't work her night shift for no reason.

"I don't know. I'd have to ask Homura if a family dinner get-together would be something she's interested in; but even if she is, I've already got commitments on those nights."

If it were possible, Kaname Junko's smirk only grows; you're pretty sure you've just played right into her trap. "Well, if you can make it either of those nights, please let me know. We'd love to have you both."

You nod, saying "Alright. If Homura and I can make it, we'll be sure to get the word out," as you turn and head off, giving a passing "I'll see you both tomorrow, then." You make sure to keep your ears peeled as you leave; you never know what juicy morsels you might catch wind of.
"Do you think it'll work?" "Honestly? I don't know. That guy's denser than an anime protagonist. We're going to have to break out all the stop if you want to make him yours."
As you exit the office building, you hear a welcome voice inside your head, saying "Archer, there's something I need to talk to you about."

"Sure thing; what's up?"
Getting the day's news from your daughter will help distract you from the fact that Kaname Junko and Kure Minako are almost certainly plotting something; something nefarious, and something that involves you.

"I have reason to believe that Nagatsuki Miyuki is in a position to summon Saber; and Hitomi is unwilling to accept the responsibility at this time. I can understand her hesitation, but at the same time-"

"-You still need to find another master if you want to make sure whoever summons Saber is someone you can trust, is that correct?"

"Yes. I was hoping you might have some advice you could give me; maybe some way of rectifying things before it's too late?"

"Well, as it stands right now, if you're dead-set on not letting Nagatsuki be the one to summon Saber, then you've got three options."
One of which, as a matter of fact, you're on your way to discuss with the person in question right now. "Option one is to let Sayaka do it. Her name was also on Caster's short list, and even without making a contract or having active magic circuits she should still be able to summon a servant. That's not to say she could provide for one, however, and we'd need to find an alternative source of mana for whoever she summons in short order, but it is still an option."

"Option two is to let Madoka do it. I know she's been hesitant to really get involved with the magical side of things; and for good reason; but if she summons Saber before she opens her magic circuits she should be at the minimal risk of anything bad accidentally happening; and once she's summoned Saber, opening her magic circuits will mean that whoever she summons is supplied with enough mana to potentially go head-to-head with God Himself. Just don't let Mikuni know I said that."

"Your third option is to ask Caster if he'll summon Saber for you; and in fact, I'm actually on my way to talk with him right now."
Well, okay, that's not entirely true. While you had set out from your lunch delivery with the intention of speaking with Caster after the fact, you hadn't actually been intended to speak with him about this in particular until Homura spoke up. "Since he's a Caster, and an incredibly powerful one at that, it should be easy for him to break the rules of the system and brute force his way into a servant. I've seen it happen before, so I know it's possible." Whether Caster will agree to do this or not, you can't say; but you do at least know that it's possible.

Hopefully it'll gain your daughter's team a better Saber than Medea with her Assassin. "Now, on a bit of a more upbeat note, Kaname Junko extends her invitation fo rus to join her family for dinner. In all likelihood, the Kures were probably invited as well."

"I'm aware. It's obvious what Kaname Junko is trying to do. I think only Madoka can't see that."

"Do you think we should take the bait?"

"I'll have to get back to you on that one. Lunch will be over soon, and I'll need to get back to class."

"Right. I hope the rest of yoru day goes well."

You'll let Homura get back to her schoolwork. You've got things of your own to worry about; namely, "I, the King, already know why you have come before me today, Archer." Caster stands at his usual place atop the roof, overlooking the city below. "But go ahead, speak; it would be impolite to pre-empt you from speaking."

"I'll spare you the details, then," you say, hoping that Caster's words aren't the ill omen you fear them to be. "If it comes down to it, would you be willing to summon the Saber servant for us? I'd be more than willing to provide you with the catalyst for whichever servant you might have in mind." An easy enough offer for you to make; if you know Gilgamesh half as well as your previous experiences with his younger self have led you to believe you do, it should be no problem at all providing Caster with Avalon. "I know it's possible for a Caster-class servant to summon a servant of their own- In my own War, the witch Medea used brute magical force to summon the War's Assassin servant as her own." Now to seal the deal, a bit of flattery to get you everywhere. "You, being far stronger than she, should have no problem replicating her feat with ease."

Caster turns to face you, the neutral smile on his lips telling you nothing about what he is thinking. "If that is what it comes to then I shall, provided with the catalyst which I desire, consent to summon this War's Saber servant. However, there are still two potential masters left to speak with, are there not?"

"Kaname Madoka and Miki Sayaka; yes. I've already told Homura what her options are."

"I was referring to Nagatsuki Miyuki, not to Kaname Madoka." Well, yes; but that's what Homura is trying to avoid. "Have any of you even spoken with her about the nature of her potential? Of the demands and responsibilities which come with being the master of a servant? I can understand your master's hesitance to trust her, Archer, but how do you know you cannot trust her when she does not even know what she has gotten herself into?"

"I'm betting that her being a depressed alcoholic whose friend tried to kill one of Homura's allies has something to do with that."

Caster laughs, saying to you "Speak with her, Archer. I believe that Nagatsuki Miyuki deserves the same chance to understand the world around her that has been given to the other potential masters."

It's hardly the definitive "yes" you were hoping to hear from the golden Caster, but it's also a better response than the definitive "no" you were realistically expecting.
