Come for the Raifus, Stay for the Plot: Girls' Frontline - Baking Time

So if I'm swapping units in echelons around to form a rf team for midnight battles, should I go with P38 or Welrod? I understand Flare is really good and they both have that all important ROF buff, but Welrod goes for a damage buff while P38 gives an accuracy buff in addition to Flare.

I go with flare for my NB ones mostly, although I might reconsider if its an MN squad where the RF ones have nuke skills instead of buffs

Well in this case my RFs are an NTW-20 who has a nuke skill, and SVD who has a self rof up skill. I was going to use Springfield but I don't have her unique equip from 1-4 yet, nor the cores to get her up to x3. I was planning on making my team NTW-20, SVD, (P38/Welrod) UMP45 & 9

I'm aware that SMGs don't give bonuses to RFs and vice versa, but I'm lacking in HGs that can actually serve as decent tanks outside Welrod at the moment. I suppose I could do some kind of hybrid HG/SMG/AR/RF team?

Sorry for the double post, but does anyone have any idea how to S rank 5-1N? I keep only managing to get 10 kills in 4 turns and you need 11, I can't seem to figure out how to manage it.

...I don't think I'm going to be clearing this any time soon. There's three of these, and this one is directly on the path to the command post.

Here's a guide I found. Currently trying it out myself.

Ok. Odd complaint I think but I wish there was more variation in the voices. They all seem a bit too high toned for my liking.

Really I just want the older guns to sound older and for m4 to sound less...cheery? Like her character design reads to me as almost dour so it reads weird.

.... M4A1 doesn't sound cheery, she sounds soft and quiet. It's SOPMOD II who's the cheerful happy murder grenadier puppy.

Upon listening to her more I now realize that she isn't pitching up as she talks like I thought, she's just quiet. Still not what I expected but that's probably me expecting/wanting a Ms America Action hero.

It's dumb and that's why I'd want it! :p

BTW, PSA/reminder: if you end up constantly rolling 3* T-dolls you hate, like say, AK-47, remember to retire them to get cores. Don't use them for Enhancement fodder: the way enhancing works is that the stat increase is dependent on the stats of the girl you're using to enhance, and AK-47's stats are pretty darn terrible.

(Yes, this does mean that enhancing with 2*s is even worse, but that's balanced out by how you're drowning in 2* T-dolls and you get them for free.)

I had an interesting conversation with someone on discord today, who was so tilted that he'd pulled 16 of AK-47, who, in his words, was "wasting my resources," and so he used her for enhancement fodder.

Meanwhile, he had a level 35 NTW-20 who was at x2. And he could have used those cores to bring her to x3.

Some people are beyond saving.

Both of the UMP sisters get! I need to get the remaining echelons up to 70 first and s-rank the rest of chapter 5 first though.

So I x4'd FAL and G41 and tried to run Exp III and got rekt so hard, lol. I think it says something that last year i was salt on that, and now I just laugh and carry on.

Also by my math i've blown 126 cores on my A-Team so far. Welp. :V

A-Team is at 15.3k combat power, the current plan is to grind exp sim II and then start going back to leveling skills this week, with the aim of trying Exp III again on Sunday. If I can clear Exp III, I'll start using it to leech level my 2nd squad to buff them for night battle.

Also after this, the next event will likely be Operation Cube, which is all about night battles. Note the reward of the 16Lba IR laser pointer, which completely eliminates night battle penalty.

Wa2000 get!

T-Though er, I'm currently kind of swimming in 5/4* dolls right now (Wa2000, the UMP sisters, Welrod, FAL, Grizzly, 416, NTW-20, Vector, 9A-91, the Anti-Rain team, SVD, Springfield, Mp5...) - core shortage is becoming a bit of a problem.

Had to reshuffle echelons about to start building high-level low-star echelons I can easily dummy. Because I've also been grinding the hell out of 4-3E, an amusing side-effect of this is that M2HB now 'counts' as easy to dummy because she's dropped so often. Ditto SV-98, FFC, M14 and M1, because apparently my life is just rifles rifles rifles.

Team Sharkbait has thus become even cheaper and baitier:

SV-98, M14 and Springfield form the backline, because they're cheap to dummy up (Springfield wouldn't be, but I kept getting her from the factory gacha for some reason so can't complain). Makarov and Spectre are the 'bait' part; Spectre is a dodge-tank with a dodge-boost skill and Makarov has PPK's firing line buff tiles and a skill to debuff enemy accuracy. By their powers combined they are way harder to bring down than the PPK/Mp5 combo, not to mention cheaper on the cores! I have a C96 I'm also keeping around to swap for Makarov in night battles so everyone can vaguely expect to actually hit a damn thing.

This is probably going to become my mainline team, with Spectre possibly swapped out later once the Umps are all core'd up. Primary AR team is... the AR team plotsquad with one of the UMPs tagging along to bullet magnet boost team morale, but they're all 4*s so they not cheap ;_;

Team Cheap-Sheet are these dorks: the SMGs have the worst lot; they're... not great, can't dodge-tank and mostly just get their faces shot in whilst waiting for M2HB to reload. F2000 is the main carry as she's level 67 and coming up on her 4th core. FFC has enough dupes for same but she's waaay down at 44 (and a check of her C.E shows I've been neglecting to enhance her oops =_=)

This leaves a bunch of hodge-podge 4/5* nonsense echelons that get dumped with Logistics Duty, the poor bastards.

I've got all my main squads at x3, and am still grinding up the level curve towards 70 where I can start x4ing people.

Main squad is

This setup, with SVT to be replaced by NTR-chan when I finish levelling her which will be some time as my immediate core stockpiling is for the first few X4s, but when she joins, her and Negev will make it the absolute maximum "fuck bosses" squad, even if it's not the most effective on normal nodes, all depending on what the wave comp is, due to Negevs downtime. Also p decent on NB once I swap Ingram out for a flare HG Mule, due to nuke skills and 2 AP carriers. SOPMOD will probably be my first 4x core, as while neges closer in level, core count for her is nastier so itll let me stock cores for my second 4x coring.

Is my second workhorse squad, which is better at normal nodes. Bog standard 3AR 2SMG F formation setup, exactly what you'd expect it to be. M4's probably my second x4 coring.

And my third squad, who is largely based around "decent stuff I have left" "Need a second 2AP squad for night" "Get the first wave down quick to try and make things manageable"

Remaining echelons are 1/3 xp leechers, 1/3 map grabbers, 1/3rd logistics slaves depending on what I need.

When your running Sniper Squads I highly suggest going with Three pistol/Two Snipers. The Pistols can tank decently after they hit level 80.

As I find myself in need of likes and high level supports to deploy Imma just gonna put my ID down here. 100345
