A/N: I'm so... going to regret this

They say… Do not hate something too deeply, because you might come to like it. They say… Do not love something too deeply, because you might come to hate it.

Now, you're not sure whether to curse that snot nosed Gunzou or not. You used to hate him, chased him around the ocean with the intent to kill him for good. But along the way, you've learned to respect him to the point of quietly assisting him.

And because of that, you were involved in a grand battle, assisting him against the Scarlet Fleet, only for you to get hit by a secret weapon and dumped into this Admiralty's Code forsaken island.

To add to the insult, you lost your proud ship self. Right now, you only have your mental model, your Union Core and 1000 units of nanomaterials in the form of highly compact cubes that you stashed in the pocket of your purple dress for emergency situation like this.

You tried to reach through the Joint Tactical Network, but failed to establish any contact. Human communication satellite is practically non-existent and the only transmissions in the air are carried by radio waves.

Your eyes twitches, it's like the human here regressed back to pre-spaceflight era and their radio encryptions are hilariously easy to break with the processing capacity of your Union Core. And one term that keep cropping up is the Abyssal Fleet, whatever that is.

But what you can gleam over is that the fleet is giving human troubles in the high sea, not unlike what your own Fleet of Fog has done. But that is a story for another time.

Right now, you have to establish yourself first. You check your surroundings and found that you're on an atoll, there is an abandoned military base nearby. Knowing that lazing around won't complete anything, you decide to….

[] Make nanomaterials generator (-350 nanomaterials)

[] Explore the island and base

[] Build ship body (unfuelled)

[] Elco 80ft PT Boat (-112 nanomaterials)

[] E-boat (-154 nanomaterials)

[] Steam Gun Boat (-350 nanomaterials)

[] Other class (please specify)

Greetings… This is something that simply couldn't stay in my head so I have to put it out. Since this is my first quest, don't expect from me too much and please be kind.

For the sake of simplicity, if you want to build any ship body using nanomaterials, the nanomaterials cost would be the double of the standard displacement in metric ton of said ship, plus minus 5%.

I don't know what either of these series are to be honest.

[X] Make nanomaterials generator (-350 nanomaterials)

[X] Make nanomaterials generator (-350 nanomaterials)

focus on getting more resource before building anything
You must construct additional pylons
You require more Mineral/Vespene Gas

we don't need those stupid Pilon/Supply Depot/Overlord

[x] Make nanomaterials generator

Of course, you're highly dependent on nanomaterials. It is logical to build a generator to have a sustainable input of nanomaterials while you still have some to spare.

The best place to build one is the deep on the ocean floor, where the nanomaterials are most abundant and the generator can be powered by harvesting geothermal energy from the underwater volcano.

However…

If the human news are true, then deep water generator is out of the question. You tsk in irritation. There is no point in building it if only for it to get attack later while you can only watch.

So, to stay in the safe side on the equation, you decide to build one in the wide lagoon within the atoll.

Then, you step onto the lagoon and head towards where the water is deeper. Once you're there, you pocket out several cubes, 350 unit worth of nanomaterials and start your project.

First, you build the foundation, followed by the solar panels and small wind turbines to power the generator. Only after those were completed you begin to build the generator itself, then a small storage with 500 unit capacity.

The process, while simple with your mastery over nanomaterials manipulation, still takes almost two hours to complete. Then, you turn it on and much to your relief, the generator works without a hitch. For now, you manage to have a steady supply of 30 units of nanomaterials per day.

You let out a small breath of relief before you stand up and check your surroundings. You swear that you sensed something entered the far side of lagoon when you are busy with building the generator.

Sure enough, picoseconds later, you pick up an unknown contact in the middle of the lagoon. Apparently, it doesn't aware of your presence and heading out to the open ocean. You ponder your options and decide to…

[] Charge towards it, maybe it is the Abyssal the humans are talking about and you want to let out some steam.

[] Ping it to get more details of the contact, while you may attract its attention, you're confident that you can hold your ground if it attacks you.

[] Leave it be. You don't want to get into confrontation barely a day in this place and you still have the islands and abandoned base to explore.

One is an adventure comic (turned anime) about a submarine crew has to pass through a blockade of all the world's oceans by The Fleet of Fog. The Fleet of Fog happen to be Japanese WWII ships with futuristic technology and an AI that can take the form of human girls.

The other is a story minimal mobile phone game (with a lot of adaptations) about the cute girl personifications of Japanese WWII ships, who have to fight the monstrous Abyssal Fleet. (Though only the Mook ships are monsters, others look like cute girl personifications of Cthulhu.)

Unsurprisingly, crossovers between both series are common. More surprising is that some of those crossovers are official.

The contact is enough to pique your curiosity and so, you walked away a little bit from the generator and ping the unknown contact.

It is something that you never seen before, oddly shape thing with rows of exposed teeth at the front, rounded upper work? Forehead? You're not sure what to call that. With single circular slot above the mouth of that thing with red glow coming from it.

'Is that the abyssal?' you ask yourself. Well, for certain that this is no human and it does not look like what you suppose to find as normal creature either. And it is apparently half organic, half machine sort of creature.

You weigh your options. The size of the thing is quite large and easily outweighs you. You don't know whether it is docile or aggressive, armed or unarmed and whether it can pierce through your Klein Field or not.

Just as you are pondering what to do with it, the thing suddenly turns around and make a beeline for you at high speed. Well, looks like you have its attention and apparently, it is aggressive too.

Then, it breaks the surface as it is charging at you, it opens its mouth. You can see a gun sticking out from it, aimed and probably ready to be fired at you. Even from that far, you can hear it roars. It is still quite some distance away from you, so you decide to…

[] Charge and make your own attack

[] Stand your ground and brace yourself

[] Run like hell to the nearest beach
