In the middle of the winter break, Taylor glances at the window, having seen a shooting star. Without really thinking about it that much, she wishes for a power.
Her wish has come true, in a way that she hadn't thought possible. An instant that can't be understood.
She acquires the power to summon autonomous puppets that is very indistinguishable to humans, with powers that comes outright from a fantasy setting.
What will she do with this power? Will it even change her life?
Hello, this is Levelgap. It's been a long time since I have written something here.
So, because I am still in a slump so that's why I will be making this new quest. This quest is just a way for me to get back on the mood to writing.
This is a Worm AU altpower and your still going to use Taylor. This one will use a power concept that has been thought carefully by me.
Your power is essentially creating autonomous puppets with an RPG-like job system. You will acquire cards that will only appears in Taylor's mind and you will decide whether to hold onto it or use it. Each turn, you will be given a chance to draw another card or upgrade the cards you are holding in your deck.
That's the basic gist of the idea. I don't know about the story, didn't thought much about it yet. We'll get to it if this story gets far.
By the way, the size of your summon is dependent on your desire. We'll get to it later on. If you want to summon them in their card, just add any description you want on the Write-In after summon.
Winter break is as dull as it gets. Despite the holiday fast approaching, the house is as quiet as it is. There are not much in the way of decorations and the interior is almost untouched, if not for the fact that there is a garland on the wall and some designs on the curtains here and there.
The house is lifeless. The presence of Christmas can't be seen from it.
'Well, at least there is no school.'
One Taylor Hebert thought of that. Feeling a bit relieved at that fact.
She is not thinking like that just because she didn't want to study, but it is because of some complicated problems on the school that she can't even tell her Dad.
Since that incident two years ago, her Dad has been passively going by the day, almost neglecting her on her own. He has been taking care of her, but he felt so distant that it might as well not.
She sighs before looking outside. The streets are covered in white fluffy snow and some of the small light orbs are slowly falling, gently touching the ground and adding to the mass of whiteness below. On the distance, she can see some flashing and colorful lights along with some of the crowds, mostly kids, going around the neighborhood with their baskets that she thinks might be filled with sweets or candies.
She looks above the ceilings, the distant sound of laughter and the clock inside this room is the only thing she can hear. She takes the time to contemplate about things before standing up.
"Dad's still at work, and I have nothing else to do. Might as well." She walks to the closet, taking some cleaning utensils.
Carrying the vacuum cleaner, she plugs it in and heard the familiar sound of whirring before she uses it on the floor. She idly moves around the room and let the machine do it's work on her hands as her mind wanders somewhere.
'Nothing is really happening. I don't have much of a hobby right now, and reading has become too boring after doing it for some days. What else should I do then?'
Her eyes glances at the table where a newspaper laid. On the front page, there is an image of a person clad in blue armor, taking a pose that seems to make him very reliable.
"Capes...." She mutters, her mind wandering through it.
She have always dreamed of it. Becoming some sort of hero and saving the day. It's just an idle thought in her mind and she knows it is childish.
Heroes are pretty real in this world. People with powers have been all around and have been a part of their daily life since decades ago. So those type of imaginations always comes at her mind whenever she sees one.
What would happen if she got powers? What does it feel to have powers?
It's a constant thing in her mind. Something that always comes to mind whenever she is becoming idle, or she just wanted to change her thoughts into something. It might be some way of escapism, but she is aware enough that she didn't have any delusions of it happening.
She got besides the window and happens to glance at the sky behind it, just in time to see some sort of shooting star passing through. In a subconscious way, she mutters a sentence without seriously intending it.
"I hope I get some powers."
Her gaze stays at the sky, the shooting star vanishing as quickly as it comes before she shakes her hand, feeling a bit silly at her wistful thinking. Then she continues on her cleaning.
After she is done with just vacuuming the first floor, she decided to stop for now, feeling a bit fed up doing something so monotonous. She unplugs it and return it neatly on the closet before closing it. Then she sits on the sofa, leaning against it with relaxed sigh.
Her gaze turns to the TV and then on the remote lying besides the newspaper above the table. She stretches her hands, trying to take it when she felt something clicks within her mind.
In her mindscape, she heard the sound of cards shuffling before three images slides into her vision. The first depicting the image of a warrior, the second an archer, and the third a staff wielding person. Her eyes widened at this new scenery and blinks her eyes out.
She looks around, seeing that she is still in the living room, though in her mind, she can still see the three sets of cards. She squinted her eyes, rubs it, before narrowing it once more.
"What is this?"
She thinks it might be a hallucination, though trying to shake the thought away doesn't do anything. It is constantly in her mind, not leaving her vision like it is some sort of insistent bug. She might have said powers, but she thinks she is just getting tired.
"Well, I have nothing else to do right now anyway so might as well satisfy my imagination." She said in a dismissive tone, not really thinking that much about this mysterious phenomenon as she focuses on her mind.
Thinking about it, she tries to choose one of the cards, mentally grabbing one of it.
Her metaphorical hand takes hold of the card that depicts the appearance of a staff wielding person. The image changes for a bit, turning into an image of an adolescent girl wearing the most colorful and frilliest dress she have seen, and carrying an elaborately decorated wand.
She opens her eyes and looks around. Nothing of the sort happens. There is just the persistent image within her that shows her the card that she have taken hold of a short while ago.
She tilts her head with a face of confusion, before shaking her head. She decided to stop doing this for now and focus on other things.
Just as she thought of that, she felt her stomach grumbling. Seeing the time, she put her attention on the kitchen. Setting aside the mysterious image in her mind. The day has ended after she is done eating. Her Dad came back just after she was done eating. They didn't talk that much, just greeting each other.
It is a cold relationship. A very distant family bonding. But she is used to it. There is nothing to be concerned about it.
She is currently in her room, lying on her bed and is just looking at the window, on the night sky dotted by the falling snow and the clear space full of stars. Her mind is slowly drifting into unconsciousness.
Then would have close her eyes if not for the sudden sound of shuffling cards.
"Huh!?"
Surprised, she sits up in a startle and looks around frantically. While doing that, a mental image of cards were suddenly presented in the forefront of her thoughts. Along with it is the card she has been holding awhile ago shining, seemingly trying to beckon her.
She can feel some sort of choice, like it is trying to ask her what she wanted. She is curious, not knowing what's with the vague feeling of choice.
'Maybe I am dreaming?'
She didn't know. She knows she is feeling drowsy. She might be a bit aware on her surroundings, but she is unsure if this is just a product of her dream or this is truly happening.
She decided not to think much about it and just do whatever is this vague feeling. It's not like something bad is going to happen.
You will draw one card each turn, the cards are the default three which is the Warrior, Archer, and the Mage. You can decide whether to hold it or summon them immediately.
Choices on the card's gender and added description will decide their evolutionary tree. If you summon them, they can't evolve anymore, but holding them will give them the chance to become stronger.
Added description can be anything else. Race, height, weight, appearance, anything.
If nothing is specified on the description, they will be defaulted to the human race, 150 ~ 160cm height, 60 ~ 80kg weight, and varied western features (European to American).
This will be put in the informational. I hope this is comprehensive enough. Also, sorry for the short update.
Discarding the three cards in her mind, she put her focus on the one she mentally held and choose one of vague choices she can only feel. The image of the card lit up before it changes it's appearance.
It still have the image of an adolescent girl, but this time she is now wearing a very stylish dress with a large pointy hat. Carrying a book and a staff that seems to be created by some sort of metal.
'She looks cute.'
Despite thinking like that, she didn't feel anything interesting with it. The image of the girl in the card is too flashy in her taste, so she is not that interested on her appearance.
Her imaginary hands caresses the card, not feeling much other than the feedback of touch sweeping through it's fairly metallic texture. It is neither cold nor hot, but is like a flat feeling that felt it is vaguely there.
Shaking her head, she dismissed the thought in her mind and set this thought aside, her consciousness drifting into unconsciousness. She have a vague inkling that she can do more about this mysterious image, but she didn't do it, not really seeing anything worth about it. Days passed and the Christmas has come. Nothing special has come. There is her Dad who have stayed home to spend this day to her, though they only stayed home and didn't really go out to have some bonding time.
It is a dull moment of just her Dad idly watching the TV or reading the newspaper. Sometimes, he will stand up and sweep the floor before going back on the couch and leaning himself comfortably.
Even when she pass on the living room for some water, her Dad barely pays attention to her. When he did, they only have a brief talk like just saying hello, greeting them and some small talk about their past days.
The lunch at that time felt so unbearable, like the air itself is clogging them. Despite eating a warm food that she have cooked due to the special occasion, the cold and unfeeling days still continues on.
Evening comes, and the two of them exchange gifts. She have given a new tie for her father and him a new book for her. Other than that, they just talk a bit before going back to their bed to rest.
It is a dull day on a special occasion. A day that she has become used to.
As she laid her head on her pillows, she bit her lips, feeling bitter at the day. She swallowed the feeling down and just shakes her head. Feeling resigned about the events on this day.
Then her attention goes to the image in her mind. It has been on her, constantly making it's presence known. The past days, it is just there, seemingly trying to beckon her about something. Like it is trying to tell her that she should do something about it.
She tends to ignore it, and have gotten used to the illusionary card in her mind. It is not affecting her daily life. It is just a presence beneath her mind, not really making any noise or making some effects that will force her to use it. It is just an imaginary card.
She didn't know what to do next. The new book that she got has been put on the drawer and she is not in the mood to read it, or even have a plan to do it. She looks at the ceilings, turning as she contemplates about her next action.
Staying home might be preferable, not having any hobbies at all. She didn't have any friends to hang out with, and her Dad is out of it so there is no way to invite him out for a family time. Though it is also dull, because there is nothing she can do in this place. The atmosphere inside the house is too heavy that she is feeling suffocated just by staying here.
She might be a bit glad that she is not coming to school, but passing her winter break with just staying on her home felt like a waste. So going outside might be preferable. There is nothing stating that she can't go outside alone.
It will be lonely just doing it by her lonesome, but doing something for a change might be preferable just to make this break a bit interesting. But she didn't know what to do with it.
As she is thinking like that, she heard the sound of card shuffling. It is a familiar sound that happens twice on the past few days.
'It happens again?'
Her attention is now solely focused inside her mind. The usual three cards occur, and along with it, the one she held is also responding. Seemingly trying to beckon her to choose something. Having done this once before, she decided to just do it.

She ignore the three cards once more, discarding them to her imaginary void. She picks one of the vague choices within her, and the Witch Card lits up before quickly changing itself. The image of the card changes, now it is a girl with the most frilliest dress, with ribbons and a color palette that is mainly dark purple.. On the Card says Magical Girl, which seems to be what it was called.
Taking hold of it, she looks at it carefully, mentally moving within her mind. There is nothing special in it other than the beautiful image and name of the Card. She still don't know why it is even in her mind.
She thinks she can use it, but decided not to do so, thinking that this is just her active imagination at work.
After that, she dismissed the thought and turns on her bed. Her face now facing the window that shows the night sky.
"Right. I think I'll go outside tomorrow." With that decided, she sleeps. She wakes up in the early morning.
The first thing she did is go and clean herself up, after that, she goes downstairs to take care of the breakfast. The breakfast is just a simple cereal, opting for the most simple one.
While preparing for it, she can hear someone going downstairs. Despite noticing it, she continues on what she is doing.
It is her Dad who have come down the stairs. He looks to be out of it, zoning out for a bit as he walks blearily to the chair. After that, he silently waited for her to get done.
Silently, she moves to the sideboard and take an empty bowl before going back to the cooking bowl and filling it with the ladle. After that she goes to her Dad's side and put it on the table. Then she goes back to do the same, before going to the table and taking a sit for herself, bowl in hand.
"Good morning."
The way he greets her felt like a formality. It doesn't even feel like it came to his heart. There is still the hint of concern on that voice, but it is too flat to even be considered heartfelt.
"Morning."
She replies back, not willing to go beyond it. Then they eat in silence, not talking to each other for awhile. Only the sound of their spoon can be heard as they eat.
After awhile, her Dad is the first one to be done. He stood up and take his bowl, taking it to the sink.
"Do you have any plans today?" Her Dad asked.
"No... right. I will be leaving house today."
"I see. Do you need anything else?"
She looks at him with a sidelong glance before returning back to her breakfast. "No, I'm fine." She replies with a shake of her head.
"Okay. I might be coming late, so you don't have to wait for me for dinner. Here is some pocket money."
Her Dad is just done putting the bowl on the sink and has come back to put some cash on the table. She looks at the 20$ before taking it with just a nod.
After that, her Dad goes to neaten his clothes for a bit before leaving the house with just a simple goodbye. She responded back with a mute feeling before finishing her meal and then going to the sink to wash the dishes.
After taking care of that, she takes a glance around the room before seeing that nothing is amiss. Then she leaves the house, making sure to lock the front door before doing so. Going to the Boardwalk only took her a single bus ride. Looking at the coast the shows the forcefield bubble on the distance is a nice way to start her day at roaming this place.
She didn't have any plans on going here. Her only plan is to just walk around and pass the time. It might be boring to some, but she didn't have any friends to talk to.
Christmas has just ended yesterday, but there are still a lot of crowd here. Most of them, like her, are wearing winter coats and scarves. They're going around the streets and entering shops selling clothes that looks so expensive. Others are on the coast and taking pictures alongside the distant forcefield bubble.
While thinking like that, she can hear some cheering on the side. Looking, she saw a crowd gathering there and a familiar group of costumed people taking pictures with the people. These people seems to be the same age as her or even younger.
"Whoa, easy there. We're not going to leave for awhile so anyone can take pictures with us." A silver clad hero with a lot of clocks said to the gathering crowd.
Taylor took a glance at them, feeling a bit interested at it. Though before she can do that, she felt hesitant to get closer. So she just satisfied herself just looking at the distance, on the side of the lamppost along with some others who seems to have the same idea.
Seeing a hero in person is still pretty rare, despite living in a city full of them. So her interest is piqued.
'This is also a good way to pass the time.'
While thinking like that, she suddenly heard the sound of shuffling cards. Seeing the three cards once more. She tenses up before relaxing, then put her focus on the cards that she have. There is that familiar vague feeling of choice on the card that she mentally held, though it feels so few. She only have two choices for it.
She looks around and see that the crowd are just busy looking at the gathered crowd to the heroes. Despite no one noticing her, she still decided to go to an uncrowded place, feeling a bit embarrassed that her imagination is running wild once more.
She slips through the crowd on the side of the road, and walks to the nearest bench and sits there. After that, she focuses on the cards within her mind.
'Why now of all times?' She thought with a frown. 'Doesn't matter. I think it only stops when I pick something so I should do it now. After this, maybe I should go back home?'
With that, she focuses on the mental deck that she have.
She once again discarded the three usual cards and choose to evolve the card she already held. The image of the girl in a dark frilly dress changes and turns into girl wearing a purple skintight suit, with capes and all.
Despite the silly appearance of the girl, the image somehow exudes an aura of strength of dependency. Like a renowned hero being depicted on a painting.
She stares at it for a bit before closing her eyes, taking her mind off of it. Then she looks around. The crowd is still there, and the heroes are still taking pictures with them.
'There is nothing to do in the house anyway...'
She decided to stand up from the bench and stay at the Boardwalk for awhile. The sky has turned orange as she is coming back to her home. She got to the bus and takes her seat near the bus door, a satisfied mood on her face.
After the Wards have left, she roamed the place for a bit more, and paid for a milkshake after getting thirsty before she decided to get back home. Nothing much happens other than the finding a good cafe that sells delicious milkshakes.
"I should definitely come back there later." She swore under her breathe.
After waiting for a minute, she manages to get back home. It is still quiet as ever when she unlocks the door from their porch.
"Ah right... Dad's going to be late."
She is just going inside the house when she heard the shuffling of cards once more.
"Again!?" She exclaims in shocked, seeing the imaginary cards being presented from her mindscape once more. As for the one she held, a vague feeling of choice has occur once more.
She tilted her head in confusion. 'Now I can only choose a single choice. I wonder why?'
She takes a seat on the couch and leaned comfortably in it before putting her focus back at the cards.
There is this mysterious feeling within her that she can use it. Though she didn't know what to do at it. 'My imagination is running wild again' She reasoned, not seeing any connection about powers from the imaginary deck.
She shrugs her shoulder. "Well, might as well get this over with." In relaxed manner, she mentally chose a single option.
I forgot to mention, but you can only decide on their appearance and any additional description when picking their cards for the first time. The chosen description and genders can't be changed when evolving them.
By the way, sorry about the long delay and the short chapter. I got busy at the New Years party and just managed to put this up before I go to sleep.
Nighttime has come and it is time for her to take a rest. Her Dad still hasn't come back, so she leave a food for him before she retires to her room.
After choosing to evolve the card in her mind that afternoon, she have this strong feeling within her that the card have achieved maximum capability. It felt like it is impossible to go beyond it's designation.
The card that she have created is an adolescent girl, with black hair tied in low pigtails and golden brown eyes. She is wearing a tight fitting suit, carrying a very elaborate staff with wings in it. The image of the girl in the card exudes an aura of coldness and reliance at the same time, and a sense of mysteriousness within her.
She didn't know what's the deal with the card. This is the first time this happened a lot. She thought the imaginary cards won't suddenly shuffle itself on this day. It even happened thrice on this day.
'Do I really have powers?'
That nagging thought in her mind is just becoming more prominent as the single card in her mind is always constantly in her mindscape. It just won't leave her vision even if she tries hard to think about it.
'I have this sort of feeling, like I can do more with this imaginary thing. What can I do with it?'
She entertained that thought as she sits on her bed, gazing blankly at the walls of her room.
Just as she was deep in thought, she gawk in surprise when she suddenly hears another sound of shuffling. Cards being presented to her once again. It is the usual three basic cards.
"This is becoming tiring." She snorts in annoyance. Then her eyes widens for a bit as she turns her attention to the card that she held.
There is no option. She can't feel anything at all. It seems like the card can't evolve anymore.
'Did I guess it right?'
She crawls onto her bed, looking at the windows outside. Seeing that her Dad is still not here, her eyes of uncertainty slowly turns into that of determination. She takes a gulp as she returns to the side of the bed, sitting at it.
The feeling of something more is becoming more present, she can feel the card seemingly trying to beckon her. Calling out to her. It is just imaginary and it is very irrational to even think about it, but she felt that there is something more on this imaginary cards that she have.
She is the one who mastered everything in darkness, harnessing it's power to the fullest. The strongest dark magical girl who have ascended against mortal means. Her origin as a witch is the crucial point for this transformation.

With her mind made up, she focuses on the card that she holds, ignoring the three basic cards once more. Thinking about using it, she pushes her desire to it. She let out a gasp as she felt a strange surge of energy that seems to be leaving her body. After this feeling is a light that suddenly lits up her whole room.
"Wha-!?"
She covers her face at the sudden bright light with her arms, confused at the sudden occurrence. It took awhile before the light dies down. She slowly lower her arms and look at her front.
In there is a girl standing straight, looking blankly at her. She is a black haired girl with golden brown eyes, her hand carrying a staff with wings motifs. She is wearing an outfit that is mainly dark in color.
The girl is just staring straight at her, without showing any emotion at all. Her mouth hung slack like a puppet.
Taylor is surprised. A girl suddenly appeared in her room.
"Who....!?" She asked, before stopping herself as she recalls about the image of the card that she held.
Focusing on her mind, she notice that the card is not there anymore. Then her eyes returns back to the girl who is just staring ahead, her gaze is glassy and seems to be uncaring of her surroundings.
'Did I summon her? Does that mean... I'm a Cape?'
The constant images of thecard in her mind, and then this makes her become more convince. Though realizing something, she scrunched her brows as she narrowed her eyes at the newly summoned girl.
She didn't know what to do with it. She is just doing it without being serious about it. She is even questioning herself if she is just crazy or not. Who would have thought that her imaginary card can do something?
This comes another thought to her mind.
'Is it a projection? Or did I truly summon a person?'
She didn't know much but powers comes from all shapes and forms. Because she didn't know so her mind already comes to the extreme. This person might be the usual projections that Masters can summon, or she might be a real person and she just plucked her out of her own home dimension.
She gulps, feeling nervous at that prospect. The girl in front of her is still not moving and even responding. She is just staring blankly on the air. Taking the courage to speak, she finally talks to the girl.
"Uhmm.... hello?"
The girl blinks her eyes, the light of her eyes slowly lighting up like she just woke up from a lucid dream as she turns her head to Taylor. Seeing her responding, Taylor decided to continue.
"A-are you a real person?" It is blunt, and she is feeling nervous so she said the first thing that came to her mind.
The girl tilts her head, confusion evident in her face. The way she acts is too childish, she can see how expressive she is. It felt a bit inappropriate with the calm and cold demeanor that she sees on the image of her card.
'Wait, can't she understand me?' She frowns before speaking once more. "Can you understand me?"
Hearing that, the girl slowly nodded. "Yes?" She responded, her voice carrying a tone of wonder and confusion.
Taylor widened her eyes as she slowly panics inside her mind. Hearing her speak makes it clear what she truly is.
She is not a projection.
A Projection can't speak. She have enough Cape knowledge to know about that. Which leads to a single possibility.
She is a real person.
This implication gives a lot of possibilities inside her mind, with one of them having a high chance. That is she just summoned someone out of her home, away from her family and friends. Just that thought makes her incredibly guilty.
"Oh god... no, wait... I... I'm so sorry!" She whimpered, her shoulder slumping as she felt so weak at this thought.
"... Why?"
Her attention snaps back to the girl who is just looking at her curiously, like she is unaware of what just happened.
"What?" Taylor let out, confused about the genuine curiosity of her tone.
"Why are you sad?" The girl asks once more, her innocent gaze turning into a worried one. Her body language suggesting concern as she walks closed to her.
"But... aren't you worried?"
The girl stops, giving her another confused expression. Seeing that she is truly clueless, she decided to tell her straight.
"I summoned you. I don't know how I can reverse that."
The girl looks at her for a bit before nodding. Seeing that, she felt a bit irritated at the girl's lack of concern to herself.
"Aren't you worried? I just take you out of your home! Or wherever it is!"
The girl looks at her curiously, like she can't comprehend what she is talking about, before she shakes her head.
"No. You made me." She said in certainty while looking at her.
"What?"
"You made me. That's what I know." She said once more, responding to the teenager's confused look.
"Impossible.... I made you? But... wait, don't you remember anything before I summoned you?" She asked in confusion.
"No. You made me." She simply answered.
"You don't have any family?" She shakes her head. "Any friends?" She looks at her in confusion before shaking her head once more. "Any memories at all?" Another tilt of her head, before she shakes her head once more.
This changes what she thought about her. She didn't really summon her, and the girl implies that she has been created by her.
There is something weird about it though.
"Wait, if you really can't remember anything, how can you talk to me?"
She looks at her in confusion once more, like she can't comprehend what she is talking about. She decided to rephrase her question.
"What I meant to say is, how do you still retain your knowledge about our language?"
The girl process her question for a bit, looking at the ceilings as she thought hard about it.
"I don't know." She answers after awhile as she looks dejectedly, her shoulders slump and her eyes down.
'What, she just knows how to talk to me without knowing about it? Then she also can't remember anything about herself? But she claims that I created her?'
"Why are you certain I created you?"
The girl thinks hard once more before answering her dejectedly. "I don't know." She says that with a voice so down like she feels ashamed not knowing how to answer her.
"O-okay... it's fine. You don't have to think too hard about it." Feeling sorry about her dejected figure, she decided to stop asking the girl questions for now.
Silence became prevalent in the room. She didn't know what to say next. When her eyes glances at the outfit of the young stranger, she unconsciously say what first came to mind.
"What's with your outfit?" She asked in curiosity.
The girl looks at her getup before looking at her in confusion. "I don't know." She said in curiosity.
Taylor mentally smacks her head. 'Right. I really should stop asking her about things!' She shakes her head before looking back to her. 'What should I do with this?'
The girl seems to have no memories other than the basics to hold a conversation, and that she somehow knows that she has been created by her. This girl looks to be more alive as she shows emotions impossible for a product of power.
'Or maybe she is just a special projection simulating human emotion?'
It is a small chance if it was like that. She might have no knowledge of any talking projections, but she might be the only one who can do that. Parahuman powers are not that well understood despite many researches and theories being proven and publicize to the world.
'What is she?'
Before she can decide about that, she heard another shuffling of cards in her mind. 'Again!?' She thought in shock as cards were presented to her once again. 'Wait, this is new!?'
She is surprised because instead of the usual three cards, she was presented eight cards. The three are the usual warrior, archer, and mage cards, but the other five are different. There is a card that depicts the image of a ball of fire shooting onto somewhere. Another image is that of two cards lighting up. Another card shows an image of a flask with a red liquid inside it. The fourth card shows an image of a person with a forcefield covering him, and the fifth card shows a treasure chest containing a lot of jewelries and gold coins.
Along with the showing of these card, she can feel something within her. Like some sort of stack that was somehow slotted to her instinctually.
She looks back at the girl who is looking at her curiously before turning her attention back to her mindscape.

So I don't know if I manage to portray what I wanted to do on your summoned units. I just hope you get what I am getting.
Anyway, a new function has been unlocked after summoning someone. You have unlocked the Consumable Cards.
Unlike Summoning Cards (The three Jobs that always appears every turn), Consumable Cards can be drawn every turn so long as you have enough Card Points (CP). CP can be obtained through summoning units. The CP you will acquire is dependent to the rarity of the unit that you summoned.
This means that so long as you have enough CP, you can buy all the Consumable Cards that appears on that turn. Five random Consumable Cards will appear every turn, so it would be up to you if you want to spend your CP on a consumable card or wait for the next turn and see if you find something you like.
I will be putting this on a new informational section so you can just look back into it if you are confused.
Taylor is unsure. It is true that she summoned her, but the girl seems to claim that she created her. She didn't even know what to think about it.
Still, the girl is showing some emotions. She is expressive enough that it felt so wrong thinking that she is just a puppet of some sort.
She is still unsure about the existence of the one she summoned. 'Is there a time limit to her existence? Maybe I can unsummon her or something?' She thought in wonder.
As a way to confirm it, she tried thinking about it. It didn't do anything and just made her look like an idiot as the purple clad girl tilts her head at her action.
She felt a bit embarrassed. 'Right. That's too stupid!'
Then another realization hits her.
'Wait, if I truly created her, then does that mean I am like her Mother? But I am too young for that!' She screamed internally.
The girl is just looking at her who seems to be in agony right now. She can't just tell her that she is feeling like this because of the thought that she just unintentionally created her own daughter, or something. It is an embarrassing thought, and so out of this world that it is unreal.
"It's nothing. Don't worry about it." She said, trying to dismiss the look of concern that she is directing her.
Beneath her mind, a thought takes root within her subconscious. As the one who made the girl, she felt obliged to take care of her. Trying to imagine putting her in danger felt so wrong that she instinctually feel revulsion at the thought.
'I don't know if she will permanently exist here or there is some sort of limit, but she looks so genuine that I am having a hard time thinking that she is just a product of my power. I'll take care of her... for now.'
With that decided, she is just going to talk to her when she heard the familiar sound of engine outside her house. She tenses up before immediately looking outside. Seeing the truck of her father, she almost panics as her mind settles on a single thought.
'Oh god! What if he sees her!?'
Thinking quickly, she turns back to the girl who is just looking at her curiously.
"Don't leave this room. Just wait for me."
The girl tilts her head before she slowly nodded to her. Taylor smiled before instinctually giving the girl a head pat. The girl seems to be curious but feels comfortable on her touch.
When she noticed what she is doing, Taylor immediately retracts her hand with a surprised look. 'What am I doing?' The girl seems to look like a bit dejected when she stop patting her. She felt a bit guilty stopping it, and almost tries to continue patting her once more before she quickly shakes her head. "Sorry, I'll come back soon."
She quickly left her room before she feels compelled to stay and reassure the girl, and go down the stairs to meet her dad.
On the entrance door, she heard the door opening before her dad enters with a tired expression. As she got there and saw him like that, she immediately greeted him.
Her Dad seems to have just noticed her.
"I'm home..."
"Yes. Hello Dad."
The two of them looks at each other for awhile and feeling awkward, she decided to continue the conversation.
"So.... how's work?"
Danny looks a lot more tired when he heard her asks that. Immediately noticing it, she quickly tries to retract her words when her Dad responds.
"It's fine. Just a minor scuffle at the streets. It's nothing to worry about."
Taylor would have become worried if her mind is not also occupied about the girl she summons. She just decided to play along while trying to think of a way to stop her Dad from knowing that she exist.
She don't know how to break that topic to her Dad. She can't just say "Hey, so I just summoned a girl in a weird getup on my room and I think I am Cape, but you shouldn't worry about that!" That will totally put her on a straight line to the PRT, possibly for a good or a bad reason. Also, she just learned today that she truly have powers and not just her imagination at work.
She is also not sure if she even wanted to tell her Dad about it. Her first instinct is to hide it and do things secretly.
Danny seems to have not notice how odd she acts. The two of them walks to the living room before Taylor told him that she will be going to her room and is just going to sleep when he came back.
"Okay. I won't hold you off anymore. I'll take care of this." He said as he takes a seat on the table where the food that she left for him lays.
"Great. Good night Dad!"
Without waiting for his next response, she quickly goes back to her room and opens it. There, she sees the girl just standing on the floor, seeing her touching the bed in curiosity. The girl turns to her before quickly stating her curiosity.
"What is this? This is so... uhmm..." The girl seems to be having a hard time conveying something.
"Soft?"
The girl looks at her uncomprehendingly before she slowly nodded. "Maybe?" She responded with an unsure look.
Taylor closes the door behind her before she moves close to the girl.
"Don't you know anything in this place?" The girl shakes her head. "Okay.... do you know what it's called?" The girl shakes her head again when she pointed at the drawer. Taylor winces, looking at the girl in pity. 'So she doesn't even know basic things like that.' Her eyes glances at the staff she is holding, feeling a bit curious about it. 'Next time...' She thought.
"Anyway. I will be sleeping now. Do you know what it means?" The girl slowly nodded. "Great. Let's sleep together."
She thinks her Dad won't just barge into her room without any reason. So she is not that concerned about the girl sleeping along with her.
"... Okay."
The young magical girl moves to her side and sits on her bed. Taylor takes the furthest side of the bed and beckons her to take the remaining side. The girl obeys and lays her head on her pillows, sharing it with her. Taylor took off her glasses and put it above her head, hidden on the pillows before she looks at the girl.
Her sight is a bit blurry, but it is still clear enough to see things nearer to her. She can see the girl just lying on the bed while still looking around in wonder. She also seems a bit uncomfortable as she tries to move on a comfortable position with her staff in hand.
"Why don't you put it on the wall. It's not like someone will take it."
The girl nodded before she stood up and put it besides the drawer. Then she goes back to the bed and lies besides her once more. Taylor felt almost compelled to pat her once more before she shakes her head. 'Not now!' She frowns.
The girl is silent, just looking around without making any noise. Surprisingly, she is very good at being silent. Though, she still seems pretty uncomfortable. Taylor thinks it might be because of her outfit.
'I have to find a change of clothes for her tomorrow. Maybe some of my old clothes.'
Her mind turns back to the cards that is still presented in her mind. She have been holding off to that because she wanted to talk to the girl first. Now that she is going to sleep and the one she summoned not trying to cause any noises, she decided to deal with this.
'Okay. This thing is my power. I don't know why it looks like some sort of card game that Greg might have liked, but I'll take it.' She frowns as she takes a sidelong glance at her summon. 'Should I really summon someone again? I still don't know how my summoning works.'
'Well. If nothing else, I'll just deal with this and think about this next time.'
With that, she chose the Archer card. The Warrior card inside her mind lits up, the image of a person wielding a bow changes into that of a cute girl with blonde hair with half her face hidden by a wolf mask that is half unworn by her head. Her red cloak flutters to the wind as her hood connected to it is down. She have a noticeable pair of wolf ears and she seems to be carrying a hunting bow.
Taylor almost gawks at the image, feeling oddly nostalgic at the familiar look of the Red Riding Hood. 'Why does she looks like the bastardized daughter of the Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf!?' Imagining it makes her convulse in repulsion.
She shakes her head and decided to stop thinking about it for now. She continues on, seeing that the Consumable Cards can be chosen while the two Summoning Cards have been discarded to her imaginary void. She picks one, and seeing that it is still available, she picks all of it.
Now she can see six cards being held by her imaginary deck. It contains the Archer who looks like a certain popular fairytale character, and five cards of varying pictures.
As she was drifting off to unconsciousness, another shuffling of cards were overheard by her ears, making her almost snap her eyes open. 'Fuck! That's too fast!'
It once again presented her the three basic cards, and another five cards that shows different images. There is the Fireball in there, but the four others are different.
One of the cards shows an image of an eye that is pretty common on hieroglyphics. Another card shows an image of a broken chain. The fourth card depicts two person with two arrows pointing to each other, and the last card is that a semi-transparent person.
There is also a vague feeling of choice within her, the card she held beckoning her to choose something to it. Feeling so sleepy right now, she just decided to pick whatever she thought of.

The next day, after her Dad left the house, she told the girl that she can leave her room now.
"Okay, so we have a lot of time on our own. I think I can think of something..." Taylor mutters to herself, while glancing at the girl who is now looking around their living room in curiosity.
Once more, she is clutching that stylish wand of hers. She seems to be strangely fond of that wand, despite not having any memories at all.
She have already thought of it. She knows she can't hide her from her Dad forever. Even if her Dad is barely interacting with her, she knows that someday, sometime he will learn about the existence of the girl whether she likes it or not.
Having thought of that, her eyes settled once more to the girl who is now gazing blankly on the unplugged TV. Thinking about it, the girl looks weird. Her outfit, while looking a bit stylish and not that appropriate to a young girl as it shows some of her skin, it looks like a costume.
Something that a Cape always have.
It doesn't matter if the girl lacks a mask. She looks like a Cape, so it is also right to think that the girl might have a power.
"Say, do you know what you can do?" Taylor started with that, looking at her as she goes to her and takes a sit besides the dining table.
The girl in question turns her head to her, tilting her head. "What do you mean, Master?" She asks in curiosity.
"I mean, do you have powers? Anything you think you can do?" She asks once more, trying to sound a bit gentle as she didn't want to scare the child.
The girl stares at her for a moment, before looking down for a bit in contemplation. Closing her eyes for a bit as she seems to focus on something. As she is doing that, Taylor felt something weird on the girl.
Along with that feeling of weirdness, she can see some sort of translucent light slowly forming around her body. Taylor's eyes widening when she sees that.
"Wait!" Taylor said, feeling nervous as she felt something gathering on her body, and the light shimmering on her form slowly becoming brighter.
The air around them, that she just noticed is rippling for a bit, and the area that seems to shake softly suddenly stops when the girl heard her voice, opening her eyes and losing her concentration.
"Yes?" The girl asks, as if nothing happened.
"What is that?" Taylor asks. "There is some sort of light around your body when you close your eyes." She said.
The girl tilts her head once more, then furrowed her brows before shaking her head. "I don't know." She said with an apologetic look.
Quickly noticing that the girl seems distressed, Taylor immediately stands up and walks closer to her, unconsciously raising her hand and then gently rubbing the head of her summon.
"No, don't worry. I'm just curious what happened." She said before continuing. "Just tell me what you know you are doing." She said gently.
The girl nodded before explaining to her, as best as she can.
Despite the lack of knowledge about a lot of common sense and words, the girl managed to convey what she does.
Apparently, it seems like the girl felt some sort of energy within her. So she tugs into it. That's basically what she is doing.
"I see. So you can tug on that energy? What does that energy feel like?"
".... Warm?" The girl asks, though sounding unsure, as if not really knowing if the word she uses is right or not.
"... I see." Taylor decided to just nod, wincing for a bit as she notices that.
It is surprising, but she actually have an easier time understanding the girl. Taylor don't know why is that. It might have something to do with being the one to summon her, though that's just a thought besides her mind. Not really something she can prove.
"Hmm... I really want to hide you. Can't really tell my Dad that I am a Parahuman somehow." She muttered to herself.
She is just nervous, or maybe a bit distrustful to her Dad. It might be a stupid teenager thing, but Taylor felt that her Dad might do something she won't really like if she told him about her summoning abilities.
It is also unsure if she truly created the girl. The girl might have claimed that, but she might have just lost her memory when she summoned her from somewhere. She don't even know what's worse. Whether she truly created her out of nothing, or she summoned her from some other place and wipes her memories at the same time.
For now, she will see her as a real, living person. She is a thinking, breathing girl, that can think and speak on her own will. Not a puppet that only simulates human emotion.
'Wait a minute....' Taylor seems to have realized something. "What should I call you?" She asks.
"Hm? I don't know...?" The girl said with a tilt of her head. She seems unperturbed what she was called.
Taylor frowned. "No, you need to at least have a name I can refer to." Taylor said, before sighing. "I'll try to think about it." She mutters to herself.
Then, her eyes widened for a bit, before shaking her head as she heard the shuffling of cards once more. Seeing the usual three cards, and then the three cards. There is the fireball and the potion, but the three are new. One is a card that shows an image of a targeting reticle with a 100% written below it, another is an image of a pit hole, and the last card is a stickman covered in a block of ice.
As she is already used to it, she decided to get this over with, while also going to her own plans.
A wolf girl hunter who is proficient at both ranged and melee weapons, and is capable of tracking her targets. Her senses and instincts are more pronounced than a normal person due to her wolf features.

Hello, I am back again to continue this. Sorry for the long hiatus.
As for why, I actually gave up on this a long time ago when I got back, losing my drafts as I have to reformat my computer, and losing motivation to write all of it again.
Then when I read a certain quest called Projection Quest on SB, I became inspired once more and decided to continue this. I don't know if I am doing this right, but I hope you still have fun in this.
Most of my drafted plans are already gone, so I will be making other plans very different than the ones on the past. I don't know what will be different as I can't remember, but I hope it's also good for you.
That's all I wanted to say. Thank you and have fun.
This update has been edited because I mistook the Hunter vote as a Ranger. I don't know how it happens. Maybe because I am just getting back to this and trying to remember and making new things for this quest?
Anyway, sorry about this. This has been fixed now. What's been revealed on the Ranger tree will stay, as a way to compensate (and because I feel lazy deleting it just to put it back later if you try to go for the tree again....)
She discarded all the cards, not thinking of picking anything, or even using her CP, whatever that is, as she decided to pick one of the vague options for the one she is holding now.
The card changes once more. Now showing the image of the girl with a red hood, looking a bit manic and her eyes glowing crimson. One of her hand still carrying a basket full of pointed objects, and a bow slung on her shoulder. Though her other hand looks like the one belonging to that of a canine. The wolfish ears poking at her hood, and her ashen grey tail are more pronounced on the image, as if showing off more of her bestial side.
Taylor takes a moment to gaze at the image, before deciding to put it at the back of her mind, and then changes to thinking about the name of the girl.
"What do you think about Natalie?" Taylor suddenly said after a short moment of contemplation. Seeing that the girl seems confused, she continues. "I mean, do you think that name sounds good?" She said.
"Natalie...." The girl mutters to herself, and she seems to be mouthing it off silently, as if trying to get used to saying it. Then she slowly nodded. "Yes." She said as a small smile quirks on her lips.
Taylor gazes at her for a bit, her mind awhirl. She actually thought it felt weird, giving her a name, but just held her tongue due to feeling unsure, and a bit dubious about it.
'I am still not sure if I truly created her.... if she truly is my own so... I think giving her a name not knowing if she is truly created by my powers is...' She thought to herself with a grimace.
Within her heart, she really wanted to believe that the girl truly originated from her. Not just someone who was taken on some part of the world, but truly someone she personally created.
If she truly created her, then maybe naming her might be just right? The two of them are currently on her room. The skies outside the windows indicates that evening is slowly approaching. Taylor is currently looking at her wardrobe for clothes.
"What are you doing, Master?" Natalie asks while standing there and gazing at her. She is just behind her, and seems to be not even bothered that she is standing straight there without moving on her position.
"I'm looking for some clothes to change you into." Taylor replied as she gazes at one of her old clothes, and then quickly put it on the side.
She can't just leave her wearing something like that. She needs to at least have an appropriate dress for her age.
When Natalie heard her reply, she tilted her head for a bit, then looks a bit in contemplation. After a short moment, she lowered her head and then closes her eyes, before suddenly, her whole form suddenly shined, and then instantly changes.
Taylor saw the room lighting up for a bit, causing her to turn around in confusion. Before gasping as she saw Natalie suddenly wearing a school uniform. It's a white blouse, with a black skirt, and an accompanying black thigh highs, and a pair of simple red doll shoes. Weirdly, it didn't have any identifying symbols to the uniform, making it look generic.
Taylor blinks her eyes for a bit, staring at her with her mouth half open. Before quickly shaking her head. "What did you do?" She asks while gazing at her in a bit of dumbfounded surprise, and a curious gaze.
"When you said you want me to change, I felt that I can do it, so I tried to." Natalie said slowly, carefully. The way she said her words seems careful and probing, as if trying to see if she is saying the right words, while also conveying what she did honestly.
"Oh... can you change back to that outfit again?" When the girl nodded, she continues. "Okay. Then you should stay like that for now." The girl nodded once more in agreement after Taylor said that.
Taylor quickly put back and folded her clothes neatly, not wanting to let the girl help her. The girl seems to be satisfied just staring at her as she takes care of her wardrobe.
After awhile of taking care of it, she comes back to Natalie. Sitting on the bed and patting the spot besides her. Natalie nodding before she gets closer and then takes a sit besides her.
"So... are you fine just staying inside my room?" Taylor asks, her voice a bit nervous.
"Yes." Natalie simply answered with a soft nod.
Taylor felt a bit guilty at that. She can see the girl truly meant it with her honest gaze. Despite the mild expression she is showing, her eyes are expressive enough that she can get what she is trying to convey.
'But do I really want her to stay on my room? Is that the best way to hide her?' She thought to herself with a frown.
It just felt wrong. Just telling the small child inside her room. That sounds creepy, and she is sure people will mistake it as a crime. She needs to do something about that.
'How to hide her.... should I look for a place?' She thought, before furrowing her brows. 'But even if I find a place somewhere in this city, I can't just leave her alone there!' She thought with a grim expression.
As she is trying to think about it, the magical girl suddenly suggested. "Maybe I can help?" She said, causing Taylor slowly glance at her with a questioning look. "I have this weird... warm feeling inside me... so I think that might help?" She said, a bit unsure, but still looking at Taylor calmly.
'Right... she have powers!' Taylor thought, before frowning. "But, are you sure it will work?" She asks with a bit of doubt.
She saw her changing her clothes, and shimmering with some sort of light. She might be a newbie at the Parahuman scene, but she thinks every Capes have a theme in their powers. Every single one of them.
She can't think how instantly changing clothes and using some sort of energy will help her at hiding her. But the girl is suggesting it, so she might give it a shot?
As she is thinking about that, she heard another shuffling inside her mindscape. Eight cards were presented to her once more. Six of them are familiar which is the usual Warrior, Archer, and Mage. Then the three consumable cards which are the Double Draw, Pit Hole, and Treasure Chest.
The other two are new. There is a card showing an image of the sun and moon with two curved directional shapes pointing to each other, and then another card showing of an image of lightning.
She becomes dazed for a bit, a bit surprised that the cards showing up is becoming a bit faster to her.
Still, she decided to pick an option once again, before thinking of her next actions.
Next Action
[]Just let her stay on your room
[]Find an empty place outside tomorrow
[]Believe in her and let her tug on her energy once again

Yes, I know Dawn Flower was not mentioned on the update, but I can't find the right spot for it. But that vote has already taken effect. She will be regarded as Dawn Flower when on her Magical Girl form.
Oh, and all informational sections have been updated.
