New Meme,

Joe clearly does not know his hairpin is stolen by Accord, and it's definitely something he has forgotten about, but will be important later.

Whoa, that'd be a pretty good callback actually. I guess Joe would need a reason to try and find Amy before he would check… or to try and find the hairpin, since he could probably safely assume she didn't hold onto it. Maybe a perk will come around that effects all his previous creations in a worrying way?

I wonder how many Apeiron crafted objects Accord would have to collect before Joe notices a bunch of them are in the same place in Boston.

Also for the purposes of Joe's powers does the drink order count as something he's crafted?

The location thing is specific to stuff he's made inside the Forge so neither the Weld Rescue stuff nor the drink order have it.
No, it comes from Built to Last, from Assassin's Creed. The effect procs on anything he "personally builds, be it handheld or architectural".

(You might argue that he didn't 'build' the drink order, but the seafloor architecture and the metal hairpin almost certainly count.)

I'm not sure if this has been addressed but when fleet ftl struck lung that destroyed the bike right? See incredibly high quality eezo has been lightly spread through the atmosphere, some of the people in the effected areas have been healed by different type of healing talismans and the interaction in a few might have inadvertantly created weak biotics but Lucky to not have the same health hazards of people in mass effect who have been exposed like that.
Nah, the eezo would get launched past escape velocity if it was going ftl. Besides, even if it was, it would be diffused over such a large area that no single human would accumulate enough to form nodes.

Unnatural Skill: Music (Percy Jackson) 200:

[snip]
Then I got Unnatural Skill: Music and suddenly it wasn't really a metaphor. That power extended to literal acts of music, even supernatural performances, but the abilities it granted spilled over to everything else. Anything that would require either recognizing or following a rhythm was suddenly as easy as breathing. The patterns of biology playing out before me were just the start of what could be gleaned from this kind of awareness.

After the Teeth battle is over, I hope the author spares a few paragraphs exploring how [Unnatural Skill: Music] has synergy with Joe's other skills and powers, as any repeating pattern can be interpreted as a musical rhythm.

NON-CRAFTING POWERS:
=Devising the best Mantra-generating prayers.

=Interpreting RWBY Aura as 'the Song of the Soul' ("Evangelion" terminology).

=Hera's blessing of administrative planning and organization.

=Hestia's insight into the nature of home, community, neighborhoods, and civilization.

Teeth battle? Pretty sure that the Teeth are there to actually attend the Summit. And with Apeiron and the rest of Celestial Forge working overtime to prevent hostilities, it'd take something going extremely wrong to have a fight start during it. Afterward, such as tomorrow? Probably. But not tonight.

Now that Joe is a parahuman sure he is protected from ziz seeing him but now jacks shard gets to listen in. Efficiency is pretty broad.
...Joe has always been a pseudo-parahuman. IIRC He has a Gemma, but it's just connected to Forge-chan via fiat. M/E is post-jump, meaning it's just a perk, no shard or anything. Jack has no clue what the fuck is going on with Joe.

He is a jail broken parahuman, where his para-power is his own, not his shard's, so no, Jack's shard still has nothing to listen to.

There is no shard. Its a post jump power where the connection between host and the shard is severed. Or in this case, never existed in the first place.

I just had a horrible idea.

Those of us who followed the original Worm know that Queen Administrator, Taylor's shard, was originally following her father Danny around hoping for him to trigger before giving up and glomping on Taylor.

In this story, the shard that was supposed to attach to Jozef Duress instead was blocked by the Celestial Forge, and is now lonely and sad. What are the chances that it will glomp onto a near relative, say one of the sisters, and wait for enough trauma to attach to her?

Edit: Surely someone has already had this idea. Is there WOG on this? I admit, I may have missed a few of the earlier WOG since I am not fortunate enough to have been following this story from the very beginning....

As I understand it, hinted to be that way in story a la GG's power, it isn't familial relation but emotional that the shard would use while calculating who to pick as the next possible host.
So the 'Better Friends through Chemistry' shard could have scanned the people Joe was closest to, in the emotional sense, and depending how roundabout the path was...
it could have considered Taylor, metaphorically shook it's fist and cursed QA for being a step ahead, looked at who QA had jumped from, and attached to Danny.
Who triggers as a result of the further damage to the working class neighborhoods, without the upper class areas being hit enough to at least ensure some funding that might trickle down a bit, the continuing and worsening issues/relationship with his daughter, ect. Just so many problems that could be solved if he could just make people see things his way.

You guys forget that Joe's interaction with Danny only happened once and for a short period of time. If we are to instead look at non-parahumans that Joe has interacted with for prolonged periods of time recently, it would either be his sister over the phone call (since distance is a non-issue), someone from the gym, or Dr. Campbell.

For the funsies, I like to imagine that the one likeliest to trigger is that baking granny from the gym. After all the pressure to bake from a perceived challenge to her baking skills, she has triggered and now she will show everyone the true meaning of baked goods.

Well, if it's emotional attachment, then maybe someone from the Gym? He didn't really know Taylor yet right after his "trigger" (failed trigger? pseudotrigger?). Or if the time element isn't critical... How about Mrs. Gartenberg? It could express itself as her mastering anyone who tastes her baked goods....

Edit: Dammmiiitt, Lethed good and proper...

Emotional attachment doesn't have to be positive.
It can also be negative, the important part is the emotional component as Neil interlude showed.

I have to wonder, what might happen if the Forge list was updated with Gunbuster tech.

Because I'd likely fall over laughing hysterically, at the reaction in Aperion's head to the words 'Physics Canceller'.

Just...him trying to wrap his mind around it, would like require him to immediately reach for the bottle of the goooooood stuff.

Yes, yes, omake only territory, I know.

Or, you know, Sabah. Considering Parian's power IS biology based, it may or may not be the same shard.

Parian triggered a year before Joe. When Sabah transfered to the fashion department days prior to Joe dropping out of college she had already triggered. Joe then spent a year in a minimum wage job while dealing with depression and an obstructive parent. It is also heavily hinted at that his latest medication was making him suicidal. When his mother confronts him over his life he walks away and triggers eight days before the start of the story.
