Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

"Apeiron." The man said smoothly, and glanced towards the table of his companions. "Leader of the Celestial Forge."

Imposing Declaration of Title (Asura's Wrath) Free:
Whenever you do something dramatic or just something really badass, perception of you changes for a splitsecond. Observers see the title or highconcept description of your current state or action as awesome block characters superimposed on their vision. This applies to named attacks/combat maneuvers, legendary weapons, companions and so on.
Already putting it to use right at the end of the chapter, huh?

Fantastic chapter, I always love chapters that deal with this kind of thing and you are doing it beautifully!

I have a question about a possible perk to be added to the Capstone Constellation, specifically the "Augmented" perk from the MCU Jumpchain. I ask about it being added because multiple powers come from Joe's genetics and this perk would have his genes innate potential unlocked.

----
Augmented (200 CP)

Every species has an 'alpha' of their kind. A superior being, with their genes' innate potential unlocked. You are one such being, possessing the very peak of both physical and mental ability for your kind, even hitting the lower end of their version of 'superhuman'. Things like increased agility, speed, strength, mental calculation, memory, and more are all enhanced. This does not give you tactical knowledge or the courage to do things however, as that requires you to learn what genetics cannot give you. You do however, have the tools to achieve such things on your own now.

That's a quite excellent chapter Lord, easily one of your best. I was laughing the whole time.

To be fair, he never got caught before, as Victor power is extremely subtle. He might not even know about the specific.

Also, I found Damsel of Distress incredibly smooth. That was well played of her.

You know, I really, really hope Aperion doesn't get a power that grants a companion while he's sitting here. Unless he can have them spawn at his duplicates, that'd be a massive problem, and iirc there's at least two still available only counting the WH40K perks.

Companions are not really in the Forge v1, he only got Tybalt, Garment, the skulls, and the Avid glove because they ALL count as items.

Technically possible. Most people would barely be able to handle the Mantra energy of ten people praying without their body tearing itself apart.
OK, you realize that someone could easily get ten times that by starting an OnlyFans? :o

I think Earth-Bet could be about to hit a wave of spontaneous combustion incidents.

Given the way Victor's powers have just been shown to work, Kaiser's decision making skills have probably been slowly leached away for the last half dozen years.

That sort of explains a few things.

And she noticed my reaction to her reaction, causing another reaction, my awareness of which triggered further reactions to the point where I intentionally shifted my attention away from the table to the best of my ability, lest the feedback loop reach some kind of critical level.
Ah yes. Tattletale suffering. It feels like that's half the reason we read.

Damn, using the source of his power as his team name was something I expected but to actually see it? I love the way the little bit with Victor was resolved and it showed Aperion seems to be able to interact with powers further giving the illusion of a power tinker.
I like how Undercrust can see how Aperion is reaction to everyone with how he treats them seemingly just through sheer experience which is a great touch.

Well, that's my recent suspicion immediately vindicated during this chapter's Victor drama.

Joe in fact didn't make mind-shields for himself and his team members, which is a bafflingly enormous oversight, considering he and his teammates know the enormous damage someone who gets even the slightest access to Joe's mind could do.

And that's not even counting how OOC not super-thoroughly guarding his mind could be argued to be—considering Joe's repeatedly emphasized wariness of master effects and his deep seated fear of him/his abilities being used by another maliciously.
He gave them the same manton effect that Weld's skin has, effectively making them immune to masters.

His last healing secession was seeming more and more distant each day, the consequence of a packed schedule.
Secession as a form of healing for cancer. Meaning, particularly surgical cancer treatments? Or perhaps meaning particularly autonomous cancers?

edit: Just to be clear, that's a typo - 'secession' should be 'session' - but it happens to be a mildly amusing typo in my eyes. I colored the word in the quote to make that clearer.
