Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

So... When's Tybalt going to kill the Butcher? That description certainly makes it sound like he can counter those shenanigans.
Monsters are a specific thing in PJO, and I don't think parahumans being considered generically supernatural/magical is enough to qualify them for the category.
Also there is a non-zero chance we will get a palico cooking scene at Somner's Rock. What with Palico's hating lesser craft. Palico bartender here we come.

To go along with Aperion just up and fixing the place to deal with his perfectionism. Making it the best seedy bar it possibly could be.
I know people seem really hype for Joe to just show off to the room of horrible criminal scum, but am I the only one that feels like that would be really irresponsible in light of Joe's goal being to de-escalate things? I don't see any showy shenanigans happening at this meeting.
didn't know you could have companions in the first version of the Celestial Forge.
I think the Palico is technically offered as an item, but it specifies in the perk text that you treat it as a companion rules wise.

I could go back to the chapter and check, but eh, I don't feel like it.
Personally, I can't wait for the other seven Companions to eventually show up. If Joe gets put this out of whack by pulling one now, I can't wait to see the results of Companions appearing once he has even more powers.
I do not believe there are any other companions.
I like how there was talk about Felyne just before the chapter and lo and behold we get Felyne. Just like how there were talk of horses and we get Unicorns... I feel like there's a trend there...
I'd be more suspicious if we hadn't been talking about the Felyne before every chapter for a while now.

My prediction is that Joe will be subdued and calm, keeping his companions in line with diplomacy. And that due to his combination of powers and his new thresholds for things it will come off as showing off.

Thanks for update!
I remember an AU where Danny had a shaker ability to take control of machines. If someone would trigger with that power here then early Joe would have been very vulnable to them.
Joe started with an alchemy perk, not technology, and he will have option regardless. Even if magiteck counts as machines, Joe has plenty magic-only options, some fiat backed ones, his own technokinesis to detect the shaker effect. Countercraft is defined as an ability to no sell such shaker powers.

Also of note that most shard granted power are manton-limited so it has a chance to not work on implanted tech.

And considering that the dude never goes anywhere without Ascalon stuck to his ass like the security blanket it is, it'll probably be easily claimable from the wreckage.
I'm fairly certain that Joe will disguise his teammates as organical beings, to not raise even more heat.

But if Saint indeed takes Ascalon with him, I imagine it will go like:

Dupli-A: Hey, Joe, am I seeing what I'm seeing?
Joe: Perhaps... Are you seeing an active specialized AI kill-switch?
Dupli-A: Yeah and it has a backdoor to Dragon's AI
Joe: I'm going to mark it. I'm not breaking this 'truce' over it, but we can help Dragon patch against it later or make sure an unfortunate maintenance issue happens in a day or two.

Is wrong that I want to see the Felyne with a seat of power and basically meow in a manner of saying 'Come at me if you are hard enough?' There isn't a way that the cat is basically the strongest Brute of BB.

....Now I'm getting Don Fluffles flashbacks. Thank you for that.

Joe doesn't know Dragons an AI, this, however, will be a big red flag he won't be able to miss. Tho he may end up in Da Nile for a while.

He already had nanites when he healed the Undersiders.

Why is no-one discussing about the cat out cussing the merchants in an efficient but Felyne way. I can just hear the meowing

GOD DAMN SON OF A BITCH (Gears of War) Free:
The art of swearing is crude and obnoxious when used incorrectly. But you? You know how to swear EFFICIENTLY. Whether it's for the sake of injecting some comedy into a situation, or emphasizing the seriousness of a situation, you'll know just how to get the most bang for your buck.

Joe can even taunt the merchants or even the other people going to the meeting

Taunts (Devil May Cry) Free:
Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelled of elderberries! You are able to come up with witty dialogue, insults, jokes, and one-liners on the fly. Now, taunting does three very useful things. First, it will boost your Style rating. I know, I know, that's amazing, and awesome, and all that. Second, taunting pisses off your enemies. A lot. So much that they'll try to stomp your pretty little face in. While this may seem like a bad thing, it can also be good for you, as the dumbass you're fighting will make a mistake in their rage. And thirdly, a successful taunt will help you get your game on and replenish your stamina. You won't be able to run entirely on smack-talking suckers while you rip them a new rectal cavity, but it will definitely ensure that you'll be able to fight for hours, sustained only by the power of your quips.

So is Tybalt, and Felyne's in general really, compatible with regular Earth cats? Is Tybalt going to be something that the PRT assumes to be a Bio-Tinker project with the ability to breed and therefore another potential Kill Order if it's ever discovered?

Edit: Mainly because I can't see Joe agreeing to neuter his cousin even if the PRT insist upon it, to say nothing of Tybalt's reaction to the unlucky Vet who tries.

Given they're sapient and have their own civilisation, I think that's a bit like asking if a human is compatible with a Chimpanzee.

Like, maybe it would even work, but I think the implication he would even want to would offend Tybalt too.

Would Tetra be able to meld with Tybalt? Apart from any potential personality differences it really seems like a perfect match. Tybalt has some serious divine ancestry so he should be able to sustain a direct meld with life threads, with the berserker rage potentially giving him an additional boost. Besides, even if there is a gap Tetra could still wield the Avid Glove to make up the difference with Jo's power.

Also if Jo is wearing Garment can they manipulate clothing through the connection of the Avid Glove? Would be extremely useful for Tetras fine control even if this melding with Tybalt proves to be untenable.

It's the Capstone constellation. It was gained as a result of Joe rolling Weapon Crafting and therefore clearing the Crafting Skills Constellation.

There's a list of the currently known possible as well as WoG confirmed capstone perks in the Reference Sheet. Just go to the Capstone Perks tab either at the bottom of the screen (PC) or top (mobile).

Oh thank you, I don't really pay attention to this thread beyond marvelling at the story so thanks for bringing it up

So, Tybalt has a Questionably Practical Weapon. Joe's version allows for better ones to be bought from merchants (Garment), so is Garment going to sell better weapons to Tybalt as well?

It's hilarious that Leet is still trying to get virtual reality and chad Apeiron are already using it. Not to mention we'll have interesting results when Aisha gets back to school on monday and discovers that they are using wrong methods, models and theories. 8 Hours learning in accelerated virtual space while it's only 5 minutes in meatspace. *Phew* That's badass. I got it to 96 minutes per meatspace minute. It would be hilarious if a hot mic caught meatspace.

I'm... what? Legal definitions of the word 'human' in 'human rights' have intentionally been kept pretty vague, to avoid specifically this issue. What do you mean 'transhuman has 6 articles'? Are there laws that specifically account for human-level intelligent non-humans?
So he and Aisha can become GMO xD

And those are from "Nanite Removal and Control". I agree with Maelger, by wording, those are fiat backed to be under Joe's controls and worst case scenario Joe can retrieve them which sounds like nanites stop being present in his body.

Joe doesn't know Dragons an AI
But he thinks that Dragon has an AI, or something close to that. If I remember right, there were hints of that in Joe's opinion of the 'decoding bomb-trigger' encounter and I doubt he missed the fact that the Laboratorium deployed anti-AI measures.

Joe can even taunt the merchants or even the other people going to the meeting
I'm curious what that will do to the 'truce', Joe technically won't be the one to break it in such case.
However it's a bad idea to taunt capes into combat during that meeting. Even if Joe is justifiably skeptical of the whole concept, it keeps some form of civility and control among cape population and will still cast shadow on Joe's reputation (Joe can walk out of that smelling like roses with his perks, but people can still spin that info under multiple angles).

If Joe truly wants to, he can find and defeat Merchants in hours if not minutes. He does not need to mess with unwritten rules for that.

Kaiser: It seems like Merchants won't be arriving.
Apeiron: Sorry about that, I gift wrapped them and put at PRT's doorsteps slightly more than 8 hours ago.
