Random inspiration so here we go
Now, onto the future and ignoring the ABB capes? Joe has four big priorities. One is his meeting with the therapist that probably knows his alter-ego, and hasn't been contacted even once while major things happened to that alter-ego.
I looked across the room to Dr. Campbell.
"You've certainly recovered well. How are you feeling after all of that? I'd be surprised if that transformation wasn't painful, and you've killed multiple people in the last week. How are you holding up? Mentally speaking of course."
I sighed. I had suspected that he suspected I was Apeiron, but it seemed he was sure of the fact.
"I don't know. My power helps me accept hard decisions, so the kills are more a personal failure than anything else... The transformation actually doesn't hurt, and I spent most of yesterday recovering. I'm mostly fine."
The doctor nodded "You seem tired. I don't think I've seen you like this since we first met... You're stressed and you're angry at yourself for Thursdays events." I pursed my lips as the doctor read me like an open book. "You could not have predic-"
"I could have and I should have! I fucked up!" my voice cracked as I yelled, only to immediately catch myself after the outburst. I sighed as I processed the fact that Dr. Campbell was not going to yell back. "I spent three days preparing for a bunch of shit and it wasn't enough... I didn't think things through... I got cocky and like Icarus I fell back to the earth..."
"I for one, don't see how you could hav-"
"I really could have done better..."
Doctor Campbell seemed to catch himself, and retreated back to his calm neutrality. I didn't blame him for having a hard time staying professional when faced with Apeiron, master Tinker "Very well, if you insist. I'm not a tinker so I can't honestly judge... One thing I've always appreciated about you is your commitment to improve. I would ask you to think about how you could improve in preparation for future conflicts, and to consider how difficult all those changes would be to implement. You don't need to inform me, I likely wouldn't understand most the tech ideas, but do consider these things."
I nodded, beginning to consider multiple ways I could use to avoid such a pyrrhic victory in the future...
"Cape Business aside, I'd like to ask how you've been sleeping as of late?"
One is the aforementioned cleanup as no small part of it is either Joe's fault or something only he and a few others can safely deal with (looking at exotic bombs and whatever combo explosives he didn't neutralize before breaking off from damage control). Of course, he'll also have to decide how mercenary he wants to be about it too (his heroic ideals make sure it'll happen, but he's invested in being neutral, and just acting gratis will blow that while trying to strong-arm the city could tank his reputation again).
I ran across the docks, using Puigardhon, an advanced vaccum cleaner Named "world cleaner", to suck up the Minovsky particles. What was more of a household issue than keeping clean? Super Scientific Solution allowed me to create a long-range vacuum, however due to needing to use it for household reasons, I was sucking up a bunch of dust and other "dirty" particles and aerosols too.
I then approached the tiny port. Most of the dust had burned out in the last 12 hours, but I still needed to fix this mess. I began fabricating alchemical arrays before me, using them to collapse the earth back to a stable position and to put out a few stray fires. I pushed all the remaining glaciers into the ocean, watching them slowly melt in the mid-spring waters.
I then used some Alchemy to recreate the infrastructure this port had. It looked amazing, but I had no time to ruminate on that. My eyes lingered on the scorched ground where my Motoroid had been for a second, before I moved on.
I continued running down the docks and pushed a bit into downtown, pushing Puigardhon, absorbing any residue of the webs or sleeping gas that remained, as well as the dust and ash left by some of my dust effects.
I was glad I was wearing my Invisibility cloak, because otherwise this would be hard to explain.
And finally, Coil is still around in the background, and Joe still has had strong negative readings on the Undersider's boss. He's just been too distracted by immediate problems to bother. I'd put him as a toss up in priority with Dragon, possibly later if Coil keeps things cool and Dragon is aggressive in her...persuit...once the City is somewhat stabilized.
I looked at Lisa blankly.
"I'm sorry for just telling you this now, but I'm sure he's planning something big, and he's using that person he kidnapped to help him. He really wants you to break the ABB."
At the mention of the kidnapping I felt that same dread I had felt as I watched the bank robbery. Or rather what my passenger had felt.
"Thomas Calvert you say... Fortress Constructions CEO. Currently in a meeting... I could kill him."
"But then the undersiders..."
"I guess I'll take you guys in, but that means more restrictions and less pay."
"I've actually nearly got his assets, I know you helped WEDGD bust the ABB, so..."
"I'll help, we can do that now actually."
"Thanks... Also, did you steal some of that ABB stealth tech? No, you didn't... How is this closet thinker-proof?"
I elected to not tell her that she was currently standing in a separate dimension, but was surrounded by a physical hologram, and that the curtain I had closed "because" was necessary to the effect.
She looked back to the curtain "Is that actually it?"
I smiled and nodded, then scowled hard "I need you to tell me about shit like this in future. Capiche?"
She nodded as she got up "Whatever you say, Boss."
"Alright, time to hack Coil. Promise not to freak out?"
She glanced around the room confused "Yes?"
The physical hologram shifted, becoming a corridor leading to the computer core. "Let's go hack the fucker."

had no idea for the dragon issue, sorry.
