Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Winslow wasn't opening until Tuesday, being reluctant to resume classes with the blackout zone cutting off cell phones. She didn't know how she felt about going back, but even with everything else that had happened the Trio seemed like something she had to deal with at some point. After the past week and all the assorted insanity, it seemed more like something from her distant past than a pressing part of her life, but she knew that would come crashing back the moment she stepped into the school.
Honestly, the Trio shouldn't even ping on her radar. Just give them a nice Lice full-body "infection" and they'll be out of your hair for a good long time :V

About Taylor's motivations.

Is it gauche to quote your own posts? Because I made an analysis of Taylor's motives last summer that still feels pretty relevant:
Taylor isn't working with a full set of marbles.
She's effectively depressed and suicidal, even if she doesn't realize it, which makes her fearless in the "ignore consequences" kind of way... all her plans and reasoning are basically truncated by that mentality.

Question about Joe's ability to teach, he can teach someone any of his perks? If so am I the only one who hopes he teaches the undersiders evermore alchemy (bitches dogs with glory girl force fields or the haste ability he used against oni Lee. Hell rachel if she gets her aura unlocked she might pull a Ruby and unlock her packs aura. Try to imagine if Brutus or Angelica got something like zweis semblance

Yeah, her VS Lung was basically her trying to Suicide by Cape. The fact that she's bulletproof now doesn't make her any better at avoiding reckless behaviour.
Unsurprisingly, she needs therapy.
Rachel, and maybe lowkey Tats. If one thing can overcome her asexuality, it'd be being the most attractive thing around.:rofl:
I get this is a joke, but can we not? I mean, Tattletale's only reaction to Survey was noting that her beauty was mathematical. We didn't see her perspective when she entered, but then again she was avoiding analysis to the best of her ability, so probably avoiding thinking of them too.
Aesthetic awareness is not sexual attraction. Noting that someone is hot doesn't mean you are into them.

Actually I think she made it very clear that she was not romantically interested in Survey. She even pointed out in her interlude that it was a new experience to not be inundated with physical reasons to go ick at someone because of her power, yet she still could say that she was not attracted to Survey.
She noted a lack of personal interest, but for once it was a conscious lack of interest rather than disgust borne from a flow of repulsive physical details and personal quirks. Possibly the first time since she triggered where she could honestly admit to not being interested in someone.
Just because she finds her pretty doesn't mean she automatically has a crush, guys. It's just aesthetic appreciation.

I believe her Canon objection to that plan was that she didn't want a topographical map of their neathers.

Taylor wants to keep her civilian and cape ids completely separate because she has the cape id for escapism so she can be worth something and do something that matters so she is avoiding using her powers overtly as a civilian. There's also some pride mixed in as she considers herself the better person for just taking it and not lowering herself to their lv in response and the whole don't use cape powers on civilians even though she could get away with some stuff like say having a wasp get into the class and sting one of them but she also knows it'll put them in a bad mood they'd take out on her and once she starts she'll keep going.

The main problem though is that when the staff don't really do anything to help there's not much that can be done other than making yourself a less appealing target or wait for them to grow out of it or get filtered away by them taking different classes and being in lower sets if they don't just choose to leave early. Unfortunately though Emma has tied her self worth into putting Taylor down so the stuff like don't react and stay away from them doesn't work the stuff like hunting the person down with multiple people looking for them and co-ordinating using phones is certainly way more effort than I've ever seen bullies go to.

I mean, all of that's true. But also, someone asks her at one point why she doesn't just give them crabs or lice, and she responds more or less with what I said. That because she gets sensory feedback from what she controls, she'd TMI herself. Likely on top of the stuff you mentioned about her pride. It's been awhile, I just remember the topographical map bit because it's a good line.

I know I was just expanding on it for a more thorough answer because someone would inevitably think or ask about other stuff like the example I gave of having a wasp sting one of them which is fairly believable. Granted Taylor gets her powers in winter but by the start of canon she has no issues finding them because the Bay's climate is ideal for bug populations year round according to someone I know who lives in similar conditions to those the Bay is described as having. In any case bees or wasps getting into classrooms, buses or similar at school is hardly an event that would cause that much attention because I can remember it happening several times every year at my high school granted none of those actually had anyone getting stung but they would normally fly around the class for a while so no-one would find it odd it they were in the area of one of the bullies and some like Madison would probably panic in a way that gives an excuse to sting. So Taylor could probably do it at least once without it being found odd but I've covered why she wouldn't.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I think Taylor actually couldn't control organisms that small, and she just gave that excuse because she didn't want to reveal that.

She should be able to. Taylor's power is strong and precise enough that she could even sense and potentially control parasites in Rachel's dogs.

Actually, just a random thought: @LordRoustabout, if someone refers Apeiron by some other name (like our thread running gag of the Metallic Monkey), would A Thing About Names activate then or is it tied to Apeiron as a name alone?

It doesn't activate with Jozef Duris, but I imagine as long as its the Cape identity it would activate.
Also maybe people who know Joe is Apeiron might have it activate to both identities, not clear if that's the case.

Anyone with courage is willing to name every single funny Apeiron names? They're silly and make me laugh for some reason.
Ex: Metallic Monkey, Ape aluminium, Monkey steel etc...
Bonus points for alliteration

I have checked canon and it seems that she actually can control lice, although it seems like her problem with using them on people is a moral one (when she says that she doesn't want to because of the feedback she gets from her bugs, she thinks to herself that she is fudging the truth).

@LordRoustabout I have a question regarding mantra systems and magic circuit's. Is Joe able to open someone's magic circuit's? Regarding mantra with Joe's abilities and utilizing his knowledge of heroic spirits/the throne of heroes and mantra could he make a device that's collects faith, fame and information of a person. This would charge based off of fame, that at a critical point will project a copied and modeled packet of information (saint graph) into the throne of heroes? That seems even impressive for Joe.

Also even if tattletale is not able to replicate it between Taylor's explanation of her armour panel to reinforce her uniform can tattletale figure out the basis of reinforcement? Lol especially if Alec was watching web of magic in her periphery.

Ps edit

Also on a side note who would be more dangerous(not to the forge but at large) as the next butcher Coil who might be able to placate the butcher by folding his organization into the teeth and simulating rampages once or twice a week? Tattletale whose thinker power alongside other powers could make her incredibly effective in a fight or Flechet who in protecting garmet kills the butcher.

Joe probably could open someone's circuits, but he wouldn't be able to until he's had children or maybe figured out a way to craft them somehow, since he's the only one on Earth Bet who has them

Shirou was supposedly turning his nerves into makeshift circuit, some artefacts can act like magic circuits (humans don't have a monopoly on connecting 'astral' to the world), the are alternatives like magic core that instead of drawing energy from elsewhere makes its own 'mana'.

Circuits are a soul thing even if tied to a body, if Joe focuses on it, he probably can figure it out, in a safer and more permanent manner than Shiro. But Joe lacks reason to, why bother with wet-soul tinkering when he has access to actual mana reactors from his magitech perks?

Probably because he still needs to rely on internal reserves when he uses his Noble Phantasm. True, he could just immediately refill his reserves after he drains it, that's how he made the Matrix's requested T1 upgrades, but internal reserves do put a hard cap on how much he could do at a time with his Noble Phantasm.

It's why his clones are currently so hard at work at it. I imagine that in the future, it becomes a crucial factor in countering Sting when Scion inevitably uses it on him.

Magic Circuits are a power line with a transformer. Their function is to convert and access, not store (it's in the name!). As I understand it, they 'draw' from an external power source, one that won't be accelerated by Joe's phantasm. Joe won't benefit from a faster refill, he won't notice the difference nor 'in' nor 'out' of his phantasm.

Despite being pure BS, Fate's magic still respects law of energy conservation. Having a phantasm that accelerates time can accelerate conversion of energy or fuel to work, but it won't get more energy from nowhere. If circuits will be inside time field, it can theoretically allow to draw energy in faster since conduits are 'faster', but I seriously doubt Joe's phantasm works like that, it allows bypassing the 'lengthy' and 'waiting' steps, it isn't a full blown time chamber.

Another question, has Joe considered scrapping and rebuilding Aisha's celestial bronze sword he could include a red stone/philosophers stone allowing Aisha to boost her as alchemy abilities and another discrete effect, incidentally making it look like clarent from web of magic when it is in use? Another thing she can tease him about

Offer up your life to the dice gods! Only a blood sacrifice will please them.

Gotta make that sacrifice to Nuffle, the Warhammer version of RNJeebus. The skulls would probably demand it if it weren't heresy.

Clearly, this is why the Imperium is collapsing. They forgot about Nuffle during the long period between Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k, so the Emperor eventually got suuuper unlucky on his armor save.

That's my headcanon and I'm sticking to it!
