OOC: This is the post for the rules. Below will be the post for Joseph's inventory, allies, powers, and quests, and all that. This post is not in character.
1. Joseph has to ask you permission to do anything of import beyond eating, drinking, sleeping, relieving himself, or other bodily functions necessary for survival.
-You cannot alter his mental state, by making him submissive or evil or whatnot. You may recommend that he calm down, or be happier, or whatnot, but you can't actually affect that with a vote.
-You cannot make him do stuff like dance around or sing at the top of his lungs, or stuff like that. I'll largely decide what's approvable on a case by case basis, and we'll work through this together.
2. He can and will show initiative by asking for you for stuff. You feel free to suggest, or as we'll talk about later, force him to.
3. If Joseph wants to do something, I'll label it as a Major, Medium, or Minor.
-Minor requires the support of 3 players, in three separate posts. One person can contest it, and for every person that contests it, we need 1 more person (not the original voters) to overrule it. Otherwise, it goes through without further ado.
-Medium requires the support of 5 players, in five separate posts. You need two people agreeing to contest it, and for every person that contests it, we need 2 more persons (not the original voters) to overrule it. Otherwise, it goes through without further ado.
-Major requires the support of 7 players, in seven separate posts. You need three people agreeing to contest it, and for every person that contests it, we need 2 more persons (not the original voters) to overrule it. Otherwise, it goes through without further ado.
-Approval is basically saying, I agree with X user's last proposal, or Joseph's suggestion, or what not.
-Contesting is basically saying, I don't agree with the proposal, and here's why. I'd prefer you offer a counter-suggestion, but that's not mandatory.
4. If you want Joseph to do something, and he doesn't want to do it, (or if you're just suggesting something) those have the same rules as above. I'll classify your demand as Minor, Medium, or Major. Ask first, preferably in a PM, and then edit your post correspondingly when/if you get my approval. I'll rate your post Insightful if I've given my approval via PM.
5. Joseph has quests he can do to unlock more of his powerset. You guys get to choose what upgrades he gets, in votes pretty much the same as in any quest. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
6. If you're contesting one of Joseph's ideas, or you're forcing him to do something, you must provide concrete reasoning for why you're doing so. If you're not, then I will make an OOC post telling you that your post is illegitimate, and does not count as a proper vote.
7. This is my interpretation of the DC Universe. If I say something doesn't apply, it doesn't apply, and vice versa. Please don't quibble with me over canon.
8. Oh, and when you want to ask a question out of character, put OOC before it. I'd prefer that you bold it so I'll be most likely to notice it, but I'll forgive you if you don't feel like it. I'll respond in OOC.
9. Assume that all of my posts are in-character unless otherwise stated or prefaced.
10. Joseph will get the gist of any media you input into your post. Please don't put in any media longer than five minutes, and please bear in mind the Ultimate and Most Important Rule when doing so.
11. The Ultimate and Most Important Rule. Please don't be an asshole to your fellow players or the GM.
12. Also, what the GM says goes.
