There are a couple theoretical branches of alchemy you could find creating undead under- transmutation, for instance, such as the homunculi formula, for undead created by attempting to transform or enchant corpses (or living humans, depending).

Cursed seems to be a cool secret, honestly, not sure which variety would be most opportune though. Anyways a lot of the Fey spellcraft seems to involve getting materials: surely it would be best to start experimenting with those at some point as well? We have a consistent source of Moonstone via summoned meteor, for example, so some less risky experiments are surely possible?

Akin to Prometheus stealing the fire, whoever achieved this would go down in history as the legend that managed to wrest knowledge from the domain of divinity.
