Blood and Secrets (Legend of the Five Rings)

Winged Knight

Still just a crazy man with a wolf on his head

A new year dawns across the land of Rokugan, 1161 summers since this great country's founding. It is a fresh year, hopefully free of the bloodshed that has run rampant for so long across the Emerald Empire. The Four Winds have marched upon the City of the Lost, and with the sacrifice of Toturi Tsudao was the Dark Lord of the Shadowlands, Daigotsu, defeated. Her younger brother, Toturi Naseru, now Toturi III, is Emperor of Rokugan. But this was not the only conflict that has come to completion.

The Crane and the Crab have ceased their battles over the Yasuki Family holdings. Daidoji Hachi, now Yasuki Hachi, has sworn fealty to both Clans in an unprecedented move to end the fighting. Never before has one Family served two Clans, and it is unknown for how long such a thing can last. But for now, at least, there is a begrudging peace between the Clans of Hida and Doji.

Meanwhile, the Dragon and the Phoenix have stopped their brutal three-year war with the revelation of the traitor Tamori's influence upon the conflict. The two Clans have come together in renewed friendship, throwing off the machinations of the so-called Dark Oracle of Fire. The followers of Shiba and Togashi stand side by side once more, beaten yet unbowed by their trials.

With so much death spread across the land, the Empire is desperate for peace. But even now, with so much fighting coming to an end, the risk for renewed conflict lingers. In the province of Naishou, located close to the Spine of the World Mountains, the Crane and the Scorpion face off for control of the region. With the death of the old governor, and no heirs to take his place, both Clans claim they are best suited to for rulership of Naishou and will fight bitterly to prove it.

They are held back only by the presence of Miya Anshou, who speaks with the authority of the Emperor himself, and the army of Lion Samurai under his command. Acting as temporary Governor, Miya Anshou must decide who will take command of Naishou. It is a duty he does not take lightly.

But as the months pass by, tensions continue to rise. Strange happenings go unchecked as the Clans bare their fangs at one another, and a string of murders has the populace on edge. Even with so many weary of war, it seems battle may be inevitable. A decision must be made, and soon, before the Crane and Scorpion clash once more.

May the eyes of Heaven shine down upon us all, and protect us from the terrors hidden within Blood and Secrets.

The capital of Naishou Province located at the south eastern bank of the Itochu River and is the center point of the political battle over Naishou, with the leaders of every faction making their residence their as they attempt to win the favor of Miya Anshou. Bustling with trade and entertainment, Toshi no Naishou never-the-less is a place of much piety with many of the locals being devout believers of Fortunism. It's most notable building the Governor's Palace, built along the riverbank, with the rest of the city spreading from it in a semi circle. While the native citizens of the city maintain their calm demeanor, the tensions within the visiting Samurai population are high, especially between the Scorpion and the Crane as they continue to compete for Anshou's favor.
The second largest city in Naishou Province, Koso Mura is located several hours to the north of Toshi no Naishou. A growing rival of Toshi no Naishou, Koso Mura is located close to the Taru Mountains, but still well within the limits of Nobu Valley and is home to Jimishi Keep, the only military castle of note in the Province. The largest center of commerce in the northern half of Naishou, as well as a major center of Taoism in the province, the city is a melting pot of Naishou's native customs, as its citizens often bear the blood of all three of the provinces native tribes, an extremely unusual circumstance in Naishou. The Crane forces currently have their army based in close proximity to the town.
Located deep within the Taru Mountains, Hitori Mura is the primary mining village of Naishou. The village itself is bare, lacking much color and extravagance, however the architecture of the town itself is of high quality. Its citizens are descended from the native Yamataru tribe, strong in musculature and having a darker skin complexion than other Rokugani, tough and stern. Extremely secretive, even by Naishou standards, they rarely consort with outsiders, and are pious to the Fortunes to a fault.
Located well inside the Kawa Forest, Shizu Mura is a source of much lumber and wood work for Naishou. The largest settlement of the descendants of the Morikawa tribe, its citizens are slightly taller than average, and often have striking green eyes. Generally friendly and outgoing, while they keep to themselves, they warmly welcome anyone who takes the time to visit their homes. While they are famous for their hospitality, they are also noted for their fondness for jokes and pranks, as well as odd compulsive behaviors. The close proximity to the supposedly spirit filled Kawa Forest have made the citizens of Shizu Mura rather superstitious, and they often warn visitors not to travel too deeply inside. However, this warning has been ignored for the most part by the Scorpion forces who make the forest their military base while they are located in the valley.
Sujuu Mura is not that different from any of the surrounding villages in the province. It's only real point of importance are the especially fertile fields that surround it, allowing the village to create one of the largest food surpluses in the region. This, along with its central location in the Province, is why the main bulk of the Lion army has chosen it as their base of operations. The Lion have transformed the village into a fortress, building a wooden wall around the village along with several barracks. They are even building two towers to let them watch for distant enemies, showing the rest of the forces in Naishou the Lion are more than willing to fight should matters come to that.
Miya Anshou holds a reputation for being a herald and mediator much more at ease in major cities rather than exploring Rokugan like so many of his family. As such, most of the assignments he has undergone have been amongst some of the most influential courts of the Empire, and he is well adept at traversing the webs of intrigue such places spawn. He has been a strong voice for peace, and has many times prevented conflicts before they even start.

Within Naishou he has been quick to mollify both the Crane and the Scorpion, while also taking his time to truly understand the region he has been assigned leadership of. He has worked tirelessly to understand the people of the province so as to best determine who should take ownership. He has spent months doing this, taking his duty seriously and ensuring agricultural and religious practices have been properly supported and protected.

These actions have given him much popularity with the peasantry, but less so with the Great Clans operating within the region. They push for him to finally make a decision on who will take control of the province. Miya Anshou takes a rather active hand in his court, though, and has so far managed to ensure that tensions not rise to full blown animosity.
Miya Iaimiko is the daughter of Miya Anshou, and said to be one of the few people that truly bring him joy after his wife died years ago of disease. Unlike her father, Iaimiko seems much more at ease in the countryside than within the major population centers, enjoying the open road and isolated villages.

This wanderlust has not abated even with her father's assignment to Naishou. She is constantly exploring the province, interacting with interesting people and seeing new places every day. In many ways she acts as a counterpoint to her father, working in the field while he works within the court. This has helped her father greatly in understanding the needs of Naishou province. She treats the concerns of the peasantry with serious concern when she passes through their villages, and for this is well loved amongst them.

She has recently been on the receiving end of several attempted courtships. She is quite beautiful and charming, but it is clear to her and anyone observing that these would-be husbands are more interested in gaining her father's favor. She has not taken well to the unwanted attention, and has repeatedly made it known she holds no interest in being tied down.
Bayushi Itaru is an oddity amongst the Scorpion, for many would hold him to be an example of a model Samurai. He is well educated, a veteran of several battles and a dangerous duelist. It is these successes on and off the battlefield that led to his superiors choosing him as the leader for the Scorpion campaign into Naishou.

But with the arrival of Miya Anshou, Itaru has removed his armor and donned the kimono of a courtier. He has shown no discomfort switching between the roles, and even while constantly lobbying for the Scorpion to be assigned overseeing of Naishou he aids the Governor whenever he can. This is, of course, an obvious attempt to show the potential of what the Scorpion could do for the province, but Itaru has proven so helpful in certain matters that none can deny his usefulness.

He holds a reputation for being an excellent conversationalist and a very intelligent opponent. And, oddly enough for a Scorpion, his name holds few if any indiscretions attributed to him. His good looks have also earned him the eyes of many young ladies at court, though to common knowledge he has not taken to courting anyone at this time.
Kasuga Hitsuko came to Naishou upon hearing the rumors that Miya Anshou has considered giving control of the province to a Minor Clan due to his disappointment with some of the actions of the Great Clans in the region. The Minor Clan Alliance knows they do not hold the influence individually to contest the Great Clans, so have sent many members to work in concert to uphold their interest. Hitsuko has been chosen to lead them.

She has been an active force in court, odd for a Minor Clan Samurai, and has made enemies and allies in equal numbers. Hitsuko has given no pretense about her goals for the province, and while some resent her temerity there are others who appreciate her honesty.

She is well loved amongst the other Minor Clan members in the region and is accompanied by at least two of them at all times. Her two most common companions are Ichiro Oishi, of the Bader Clan, whose gruff exterior hides a talented swordsman, and Tonbo Denbe, of the Dragonfly Clan, who while considered a bit of a lunatic is an accomplished Shugenja.
Ikoma Shikei is the liaison between the court and the Lion forces under Miya Anshou's command. His duty has been to make sure the Governor is aware of the Lion's concerns and that their input is valued. As such, he has been an extremely busy man even if he shows little sign of fatigue.

At court his duties are to hear petitions and grievances of the Clans regarding the Lion troops, and so far has managed to ensure none can doubt the honor and strength of his Clan. He also reports the deeds of the Lion to Miya Anshou so that the Governor will appreciate how quickly and well the Lion follow his orders. Finally, where the troops clash with other Samurai he is there to ensure events reach an honorable conclusion.

Shikei has done all this without tiring or complaining, earning much praise for his dedicated service. In many ways, it is thanks to his efforts that the Lion have maintained so much control over the region and ensured the will of Miya Anshou is carried out so effectively.
Kakita Seisho is not the traditional picture of a Crane Courtier, his white hair unkempt and uncut. Everything from his disarrayed kimono to the bags under his eyes shows a man who has lost control of his life. On several occasions Seisho has shown up to court drunk, and once even brought two geisha to keep him company. He only truly remains head of the Crane diplomatic delegation because of his father's tremendous wealth and influence. Rumor has it Seisho's father saw the Naishou assignment as an opportunity to rid himself of his embarrassing son, and while Seisho still has access to his family's wealth he is not truly welcome back at his home.

In truth, Seisho only occasionally does anything in court, with much of the work done by lower ranking diplomats. Most of the time he is drinking, gambling and visiting either geisha or theater houses within Toshi no Naishou. This has gained him some popularity amongst more festive and frivolous Samurai, often members of his own Clan are left to quietly ignore the shame he brings upon them.

However, there seems to be a clever mind beneath the rampant hedonism. The last man to confront Seisho on his actions was shamed so thoroughly by the Crane diplomat's highly insightful rebuke that he chose exile rather than to show his face amongst any Rokugani ever again. It appears he might truly be one of the Crane's most dangerous and capable courtiers, if he could only compose himself properly.
Isawa Suzuhiho is a dashing and popular figure at court, and impossible to miss with her brightly dyed red hair. Although she is a Shugenja, it is clear she appreciates the life of the courts to the serenity of the temples. She is frequently courted, and is always aware of the latest scandals and martial schemes of the Samurai around her.

When not busy indulging the latest social intrigue, Suzuhiho has many performances of her singing talents. These skills have further cemented her position within Toshi no Naishou's court. Oddly enough, however, she does not appear all that focused on reclaiming Naishou province for the Phoenix Clan.

There are rumors gathering that Suzuhiho is here for more than representing the interests of the Phoenix, however. She is a magistrate, not a courtier, and while she seems well acquainted to the courts she has other duties that would demand her attention. No one has yet been able to deduce what other reasons she might be in the region, however.
Mirumoto Hajitsu is an odd fixture within Toshi no Naishou's court. In fact, he looks more like a monk than a Samurai. Indeed, with his head shaven and his constant pilgrimages to temples, he appears as if readying for retirement instead of performing any kind of diplomatic obligations.

In truth, the Dragon Samurai has had a long and illustrious career. He is the veteran of many battles and, when he heard his father and brother had died to illness, took up governorship of his home province. He ruled his home well for many years, and often again took the field of battle before he eventually passed on control to someone younger.

Many both within and without the Dragon Clan have voiced their interest in Hajitsu taking governorship of Naishou. After all, he once ruled a province before with competence and honor. Hajitsu, however, seems more interested in speaking with Samurai willing to indulge his passion for theology.
Kuni Shiyoda was once considered a great hero of the Crab Clan, scouring the Empire in search of Maho-Tsukai, shapeshifters and other such threats. She was tireless and fearless, displaying strength that belied her slender appearance. She also had a reputation for pleasantness and carried out her duties with a minimum amount of political damage.

And then, while hunting an ogre in the Seikitsu Mountains, she disappeared. A search party was sent after her, but after several years she was declared dead. So it was that none were more surprised than the Crab when she appeared at Miya Anshou's palace completely delirious, speaking wildly about ancient evils older than the Shadowlands resting within Naishou province. She pleaded that everyone, from peasant to Samurai, had to leave lest they awaken something far too terrible for any of them to fight.

Needless to say, most Samurai were less than impressed and the general assumption is that Shiyoda had gone mad, her mind broken by the horrors of the Shadowlands. Her mood is often erratic, alternating between a strong woman full of confidence and a frightened girl terrified of shadows. Despite the scorn and pity she has received the Crab Samurai has stayed in Toshi no Naishou, begging the Governor to reconsider his position whenever he lets her speak.
Matsu Tadanobu is something of a legend, both amongst his men and the other Clans. He leads from the front lines, hurling spears with strength and precision before closing in for the kill. Because of his skill and strength many see him as a reborn hero from times past, capable of larger-than-life feats. As such, his men are unquestionably loyal to him.

Tadanobu has remained busy despite his current lack of enemies to fight. His men patrol the streets of Toshi no Naishou, helping the Doshin maintain order. More than that, though, his forces are also spread throughout Naishou to keep an eye on its borders and the other Clans. Should war erupt, the Lion will be ready.

For all his formidable repute, however, Tadanobu has not expressed any strong desire for combat. He seems focused on his duties, no matter what they may be. Currently, that is to maintain the peace of Naishou, and during his free time likes to read and study the legends of ancient Lion Clan heroes so that he might find ways to better emulate them.
Doji Ayumi is a passionate woman, which many claim comes from her Lion Clan mother before she married into the Crane. As a child she cared little for etiquette, preferring to train with any weapon she could get her hands on. She was presented to the Kakita Dueling Academy, but the sensei there took one look at her and declared she would be far better suited for the Daidoji.

They were right. Under the tutelage of the Daidoji she learned how to wield many weapons and developed a keen mind for military strategy. On the battlefield she has been shown able to adapt to many different situations, always striking with precision and speed. The troops love her, for she has always treated them as equals united in their duties to the Crane.

Ayumi's mood has grown increasingly dour with the arrival of Miya Anshou, and she awaits the chance to fight again. She has a rather well known dislike for politics and has kept well away from court, putting that duty in the hands of others. She is keeping her men on high alert, and seems ready to jump back into the fray whenever the chance arises.
Tsuruchi Junko is not in the competition to seize Naishou, for the Mantis were late to arrive within the province. However, he is here to profit from it. He and his men have offered their services to a number of different factions, providing military assistance in exchange for coin or political favors.

Junko is a short, cheerful archer who was allowed to join the Mantis purely on skill alone. He and his men have been in Naishou for almost as long as the war began, and are staying around even while Miya Anshou has ceased the conflict. He fully expects the battles to continue, and when they do he and his men will have a chance to sell their services.

When not leading his men for one side or another, Junko is happy to set up trade deals for his Clan within Naishou and, in general, live as comfortable a life as possible. The former Ronin remembers the hardships of his old life keenly, and very much enjoys the good food, drink and clothes his position has allowed him.
Kagemori is an oddity amongst Ronin, who typically have tragic and complex stories behind their shameful place in the Celestial Order. Born a member of the Hida Family, all that happened to Kagemori is that he fell asleep on watch. No one was injured and no Shadowlands creatures slipped through, but it was still an inexcusable failure in the eyes of his superiors. They cast him from the Clan and Kagemori accepted the verdict with a shrug, taking his arms and armor with him.

Kagemori has fought willingly for whoever could hire him, and has acquired a flair for battlefield tactics. His insights have saved the lives of many of the men fighting alongside him, and Kagemori soon found himself being hired as a military advisor under the guise of being a Yojimbo. He has excelled in both roles, and has come to Naishou under the belief his services might soon be in demand.

Unlike many Ronin, Kagemori does not dream of joining a Clan. He enjoys his current existence, where he earns a living and gains respect through his strength and skills alone. Though Ronin are, of course, looked down upon, his skills have drawn enough notice that many overlook this fact in order to gain access to his insights.
Isawa Daichi did not notice immediately that the old Governor had died. In fact, it was only some weeks later when he came to court to request help locating some text that he realized there had been a political change within Toshi no Naishou. Those who know Daichi well were not surprised this was the case.

Daichi is one of the Empire's foremost scholars on what some refer to as the Five Ancient Races. He sees the Races as incarnations of the Elements themselves, and thus a great source of wisdom for any Shugenja. When he passed his Gempukku, he was given leave to search the Empire for signs of the civilizations of these ancient creatures.

Unfortunately, while Daichi has a brilliant mind and an excellent memory, he has far less understanding of the human capacity for deception. All too often he has found himself on fools' errands after believing stories he should have recognized as fables or simple lies. Some believe that such tales Daichi should have dismissed are what brought him to Naishou all those months ago, searching for signs of the Five Ancient Races and cataloging everything he can find.
Okimoto is the abbot of the Seven Fortunes Temple within Toshi no Naishou, and has often found himself in a position of influence considering how religious most of the province is. The people of Naishou have always looked to the Fortunes for guidance, and they consider monks of the Seven Fortunes Order to be the Fortunes' voice in Ningen-do.

Okimoto was chosen by the previous abbot to head the Order in Naishou, rather than being picked by the temple elders. He spent the next thirty-five years serving each of the Seven Fortunes with utmost dedication, and only when he had achieved understanding of both himself and the world did he assume leadership of the temple. He has continued in that office ever since, performing his duties with competence and dedication.

Okimoto has expressed concern over the influx of Samurai into the region, and the potential for bloodshed they bring. He cares deeply for the peasantry and will do whatever it takes to protect them. Considering the resources at his Order's disposal, and the backing of the highly religious commoner population, he could actually pose a significant threat to any of the Great Clans within Naishou. However, Okimoto continues to promote peace in the region and has shown no desire for conflict, so it is unlikely such a thing could come to pass.
Ide Ojong has always been small for one of the Samurai caste, and has likewise always expressed that a person's mind was more important than their physical might. After his Gempukku, Ojong set out to become a Merchant Patron. He started small; selling second-rate steeds to other Clans, but after a few years became the master of a large merchant caravan. He has since shipped all manner of wares to every corner of the Empire.

One of his greater feats was securing an alliance with the Yasuki Family, establishing an even larger network. With their help Ojong became not only rich, but also influential. Because of this his name has spread relatively far, and he has been able to control events from vast distances thanks to his subordinates.

Ojong believes there is great potential within Naishou for profit and growth, and with so few competitors has secured a decent position for himself. However, so far he does not appear to have grown particularly wealthier yet in his dealings within the province. Ojong seems unconcerned with such issues, however, and continues to go about his business.
Suzume Hideyo was only a young man when he overheard a visiting Crane diplomat recite one of his poems. Before he even knew what was happening, favors were exchanged and he found himself a pupil within the Kakita Artisan Academy. He faced scorn from his fellows as a member of a minor Clan, but he found so much joy studying with such magnificent teachers that he overcame their mockery. Moreover, once one looked past his rustic mannerisms, it became obvious Hideo is a charming and honorable young man.

His Sensei fully expected him to sharpen his skills in the various courts after completing his schooling. Instead, Hideyo departed the Academy leaving behind only a beautiful poem in thanks. Ever since he has traveled the roads of Rokugan, seeking inspiring moments to record for his work.

Hideyo's wanderings have recently brought him to Naishou province, and he has fallen in love with the land. He admires the piety and dedication of its inhabitants, and keeps finding new moments to capture and thus new stories to tell. With the influx of Samurai Hideyo has grown worried Naishou's unique culture will be destroyed. In response, he has crafted many poems and stories detailing the plight of the common to the Governor and other prominent Samurai within court. Reactions have been mixed, from shock at his mundane topics to admiration for the beauty of compositions.
Aian Village: Recently the headman, his wife, and his daughter all disappeared together. On the same night, a blacksmithy worker was murdered. Also, two months ago a young peasant man disappeared.

Danshou Village: A peasant child and an old man have disappeared.

Houi Village: Three residents of this village have disappeared.

Jouzousho Village: A peasant, a child, and a geisha have disappeared over the last few months, and a worker at the local sake brewery has been murdered.

Juuchiro Village: A woodcutter was recently murdered.

Koujou Village: A teenage peasant boy who worked at the local mill has disappeared.

Mujitsu Village: A farmer went missing some time ago. Two weeks ago, far more shockingly, a samurai child vanished.

Sencha Village: A peasant woman and her daughter have vanished. Also, this village was the last known location of a Phoenix Inquisitor and her yojimbo, who have not be seen since.

Tenraku Village: An entire peasant family was victimized – all of them killed except for two who went missing. On the same night, one of the local doshin was also killed.

Boubi Village: No reported crimes, but there are rumors of an armed gang inhabiting the village.

Yasurugi Monastery: One monk has disappeared.

Chiaki on the right. (BASED PANDA IS BASED.)
DOJIDOJIDOJI
Doji Chiaki, Courtier (Doji School).
DOJIDOJIDOJI
Doji Chiaki was born the eldest of two daughters to a Doji father and Kakita mother, a renowned diplomat and duelist, respectively. She and her younger sister Chizuru grew up at the family manor in Samui Kaze Toshi, Cold Wind City.
DOJIDOJIDOJI
Chiaki learned the importance of unfailing and gracious etiquette very early; even as a child, she was always well-mannered and impeccably elegant. As a result, when the time came for her schooling her parents chose to send her to the Seven Fold Palace instead of Shizuka Toshi, believing that she could live up to the increased challenge.
DOJIDOJIDOJI
They were right. She excelled at school, earning the approval of her instructors and some envy from her peers, and when the time for her gempukku came she passed it with flying colors.
DOJIDOJIDOJI
In the year since, she's been hard at work negotiating on behalf of the Crane and gaining more experience - and now her superiors have seen fit to send her on an assignment of real importance, believing her ready. She swears that she will not her Clan down.

Isawa Sadameki.

Now with 100% more picture, 100% more blurb and 100% less flop.

Isawa Sadameki was born in the heartlands of the Pheonix, in Kyuden Isawa. As is normal, upon the day of his birth he was tested, and he was found to have the gift of being a shugenja, one who's talents lent themselves most easily to calling upon the kami of fire.

He spent his life there, his love of knowledge coming to the fore as he studied and trained his abilities. A normal life, one without much to differentiate it from that of any other shugenja.

And then the time came for his gempukku, sent out into the Isawa Mori to meditate upon his place in the world. That he did, and come the morning, he emerged from the forest. Then, mere days after his gempukku had completed, he was sent far from Kyuden Isawa, far from the libraries and temples that had been his life up until now, to Naisho.

Hida Shizuka, Crab Axeguca Samurai

(BASED PANDA)

Hida Shizuka, daughter of both a Hida mother and father knows of the great Duty that the Crab do for the rest of Rokugan. She is tall and broad, blessed by Bishamon himself, and wields an ono nearly as big as she is. Her skill with it saw her safely through her Gempukku and even now she continues her practice.

She sets off for Naishou, part of a contingent to collect a shujenga, once thought lost to the Shadowlands. Her resolution does not waver and she swears she will not fail in her duty to the Crab.

You call, my lord. And Akodo Saburou answers.

Militaristic Ikoma Courtier. Lion's Shadow School

Born in the province of Kokoro as the third child of Ikoma no Akodo Shinobu (a courtier) and Akodo Takeshi (her deceased yojimbo), Saburou has shown to posess both an inquiring, open mind as well as an unsual strength. Casted out from the family that saw his first steps and educated him in the samurai ways due to some events that happened during his childhood, he embraced the ways of the Ikoma during his training, and even now he considers part of the Ikoma at heart despite still carrying his father's family name, being this the reason why he carries both mons whenever he goes.

Nonetheless, he's eager to make a name for himself while carrying the order from his daimyo in the province of Naishou, his first assignment.

Chizuru on the left.

(THANK YOU BASED PANDA)
DOJIDOJIDOJI
Doji Chizuru, Duelist (Kakita School)
DOJIDOJIDOJI
As with her elder sister Chiaki, Doji Chizuru was born and raised in Cold Winds City, to Doji Akagi (a famous diplomat) and Kakita Hisao (an esteemed duelist).
DOJIDOJIDOJI
There wasn't much to her life aside from her sister, for the longest time. Although Chizuru had shown an aptitude for dueling like her mother, it wasn't until a bit before her sister was sent off to the Seven Fold Palace that she began to consider it for her path to adulthood.
DOJIDOJIDOJI
Consideration turned into burning passion as young Chizuru was sent to the Kakita Dueling Academy, where she was placed under the tutelage of Kakita Tsuru, a very old and well respected samurai.
DOJIDOJIDOJI
Most sensei would take on groups of three to five. Chizuru had come so highly reccomended from her family, however, that Kakita Tsuru spent the next few years training her and her alone, expecting her to live up to the praise.
DOJIDOJIDOJI
Live up she did, and then some. In some ways, little red-eyed Chizuru was his worst student. But in some ways, she was his greatest success. Over the years of grueling training it became clear that, in spite of her lackluster efforts to certain aspects, there was only one word for the young girl: prodigal. Chizuru was better than most, even at age sixteen and she is well aware of the fact.
DOJIDOJIDOJI
Nowhere was this prodigal skill better exemplified than during her gempukku, as many across the Empire will come to know of.
DOJIDOJIDOJI
But that is not her concern, not right now. Now, she has been sent to Naishou as yojimbo to her elder sister Chiaki as she is on assignment, to protect her as she works. And in this too, she swears she will succeed.

First round of NPC information set up, focusing on the members of the Court. I'll add more soon, detailing those NPCs heading the militaries involved within Naishou. I'll also give some short blurbs on a few of the major cities in the region.

Am still working on Sadameki, will hopefully get something of a blurb up in time for the game.
Not got any plot hooks or anything fun like that to tease with though. ;_;

Somewhat hyped I guess? More worried still despite everything.

Slightly less at least.

For the record, I don't have any of my own either.

Is okay, Sighted. Really.

@Sightedjt if you want to talk to some of the people not playing for help on characters and stuff, we're around honest we usually hang out in the Mega thread

*Looks suspiciously at unfinished story*
Oh right, that...

Thank you. I may very well end up asking for help, but just, if anyone does have any tips or criticism from how I go in the thread, feel free to let me know.

I've got the last of the well known NPCs up and listed. There will be more that you meet, of course, but these are the people that your characters would know about after spending even a few days within the Province. With this, you'll not be going in completely blind.

Ooooooh? Truly interesting people, especially the Isawa one.

Thia campaign will be interesting. :D
