  • [X] You feel a mix of emotions on the matter. Annoyance is the first that you recognise. These darned kids have come along, disturbed your peace and quiet, brought enemies with them, and will no doubt draw more in the longer they are here. You next note a feeling of nostalgia. Simon and Fraya. Now those are a pair of names you didn't think you'd hear again, let alone have any effect on your present. Hearing them now brings back many a pleasant memory. And you always did think that they'd make a good match. You also feel a small amount of paranoia regarding the boy. He's a threat. There's no point in denying it. When he grows up, when he learns to control his powers, he's going to cause problems. And even if he doesn't trouble you directly, others will no doubt begin to resent you for allowing this trouble maker to develop into an actual issue. Some of the less wise among that number may even act on their resentment. You won't act on your paranoia though. You've made the mistakes of Fool Cronus and the Bard of Avon's Scottish King enough times to know that you have always made your most inconvenient enemies by trying to nip them in the bud. Finally, there is one last feeling that you can't quite find a name for. The presence of these children here in your house, it sparks something within you that was content to lie dormant when you were living alone. You are fairly certain you have felt this feeling before, but you are having trouble recalling when or why.
[X] Joy and fear in equal measure. Knowing that we're bringing comfort to the kin of dear friends fills us with a warmth not felt in ages, but we know what this means. If we can't find a way to disguise Joshua's magic, we'll bring trouble to our doorstep. Then the choice is to give him up, kill him ourselves, or take all comers. Needless to say this would not be conducive to enjoying our retirement. In fact, despite our power, in the worst case scenario this might cause those who could give us a true death to rise against us. When did we start getting this sentimental?
